《Cursed Armor Reincarnation》Chapter 35: A Short Return Part II

Ulf looked over the large blueprint Rune had given him. Next to him was Jared and Kelly pointing out things to Ulf. His face was just blank as he held the sheet of paper carrying the map of the new town of ALF.
Elisa was behind the four of them sitting on a chair near the store’s front door. She shifted uncomfortably as she felt nervous at this shop in which she never thought she would enter. This was since a knight usually didn’t enter an architect’s shop.
It consisted of apartments which blew his mind since the houses before were just single buildings for single groups of people. Then there was a grocery store with shelves and such. Cafes and restaurants were around the town and there were general, clothing, and weapon stores around. A guild building would be placed near the school in case the students wanted to earn money nearby.
The streets were to be made of cobblestone and there would be three fountains around the town. There would be enough space to expand as the plains that the school was on seemed endless, but it still had a limit. Although, that limit was a few hundred miles.
Ulf scratched his head and stroked his bushy beard. Then he stopped moving for a moment, then nodded once.
“Yes. I think I can do this if you have enough money. For this scale… I would say twenty five platinum.”
“Uh, just put it on the king’s tab. Right?”
He turned to speak to Elisa and she soon realized that he was talking to her. She nodded quickly before thinking about something else again.
Ulf just sighed and handed Elisa a note. She jolted back to reality once more and read it. It said that the king owed 25 platinum coins to Ulf to help the school thrive.
Elisa got up and left the store to go and meet with the king. Rune and the other two teleported back to the school.
It was friday and several days had passed since then. Rune and Sophia had went out on five dates since they last came back and Rune had also been working in the lab with Kelly and Jared to work on projects and the city plan.
In the lab, Jared had used his cheat skill, [Edit], to create multiple mechanisms to use the energy created by the chamber in the lab. Rune was surprised when he found out that it was a chamber full of mana. Mana is usually blue, but what turned it green was the electricity coursing through it.
The electricity was generated by a mechanism above the chamber that rotated around to create friction and static. The machine, however, moved extremely fast with gravitational magic to accelerate the wheel beyond normal speeds. There were three rings that encircled around each other that went in opposite ways of each other.
The electricity would then turn into some sort of mana infused electricity which made the power output ten times what normal electricity would create. The mana would only run out once after a couple years and, to replenish it, as much mana as a B ranked spell would be needed to fill it up to capacity.
He decided to fill up some canisters full of the electricity that came out and, by the end of it, he had ten canisters. The canisters were small and about the size of the entire chamber of the railgun he had made.
Jared told Rune all he needed to know about the railgun. It looked like like a magnum except it had some enhancements. There was even a safety on the canisters to not allow them to let out the electricity.

The canisters had ten shots of energy blasts. Each shot of energy shot out faster than even lightning and the railgun was named Blitzr. The gun itself had a hammer and trigger and it made no sounds while firing. Although, it could be improved further.
On saturday, he planned to go back to Hell’s Gate with the rest of the group. He wanted to fight the Lightning Dragons that were being mind controlled by a Hierarch Dragon. Apparently, according to Rouna, this dragon forced the regular dragon’s to do her bidding and that she was living better and in more comfortable conditions than the rest of them. They were like slaves.
Roxana talked with Rune about what she had done over the time that they were gone and she waited until Rune left to talk to Sophia. She was talking about how she, Lysp, and Enya were getting along quite well and that they were the “best of friends”.
Indeed, the three of them were near inseparable due to how well they got along. They even progressed at the same fast rate.
All of their magic had gotten stronger than those who were regular magic user adventurers. This was due to Lisbeth’s ability to teach people well and she was a good teacher whom everyone liked and got along with.
On the twin’s birthday, which occurred when Rune and Sophia was gone, Roxana had went to Kelly and Jared to make presents. The finished product turned out to be a protective charm amulet that also conducted magic.
Kelly had made the chain that was light, but durable and Jared had made the pendant that was hooked onto the chain. Roxana had created a small gem with some help from the two of them and they got on of the teachers to help enchant the gem. Then Roxana plopped the gem into the pendant and the finished project looked gorgeous.
The chain was silver and glinted in the light and the pendant was gold and shined like a full moon in the night. There were two different gems. One was green for Enya and the other was blue for Lysp.
This way, the magic they used was reinforced and more powerful. Since Enya used Healing magic, all that type of magic would be more powerful. Lysp’s Water magic would also be increased. However, the no-attribute magic’s power would not be increased.
The next day, Rune teleported with the group and Roxana and Sophia were left to the mansion. It was quite lonely for the two of them as they liked Rune as much as he other, but in different senses. However, both of them had people they could talk to while he was gone and they did so.
A construction team arrived in front of the school gates and Kelly directed them on how they would work. Since it was Saturday, no one was in school and people watched as the team worked.
Kelly has believed that it would have gone faster if there was a time distortion placed over the area, like in the lab, but the pocket dimension could only be placed and used in a closed off area with no sunlight affecting it or windows.
That ruled out the possibility of them being able to finish construction of the town part within a day.
Next, Jared had the great job of going to the capital to find people that would work in the town. Of course, the town would be under the King’s command and rule, but there would be free reign about the area.
He was having a hard time finding people until he walked up to a job finding center.

He had been walking the streets for a while. He had no luck in finding anyone interested to work in the school or in he cafes and restaurants and was hanging his head in shame.
He shoes made a small clinking sound whenever he walked and there were very few people looking at his strange dress wear. He was currently wearing a lab coat over a black shirt and had cargo pants on him.
It was strange for the citizens of the capital because no one had ever seen a lab coat and also the fact that he looked like a Dark Elf, which was a race that was discriminated against by many Elves. It seemed that they wanted to discriminate against him and throw insults, but an event stopped them.
It was about a minute ago when three Wood Elf thugs came out of the shadows between buildings and held knives. They looked down at him and scoffed.
“Give us you stuff or die.”
One thug spoke in a menacing tone, but Jared just stride past them as if he hadn’t noticed them. The person who talked wheeled around and grabbed his shoulder.
“Oi!!”
A knife was thrust at him, but, when Jared quickly blocked with his hand, it turned into dust. In fact, Jared hadn’t actually disintegrated it, but edited it with his cheat skill, [Edit], which allowed him to change the shape of objects. He just happened to change the shape of the knife into something less harming.
The thug stumbled back and Jared drew something from his holster on his hip. It was a test for the Glacier Series. Rune had taken the hand cannon gun and the flamethrower ice version as well as a great deal many other things. The thing he drew was a one handed, small double barrel shotgun.
He aimed it at the person who didn’t know what he held in his hands and he tried to hit it away with his hands. Of course, a bullet is faster than most hands and a beanbag shotgun shell exploded against his hand and another on his chest.
Frost started to cover both areas and Jared reloaded quickly. He fired the other two shots at the next two thugs’ legs and went on his merry way. The thugs weren’t killed, but we frozen in the streets and they were freaking out by how cold it was.
This was why none approached him when he had gotten to the job center. He looked up at the sun and grinned.
Finally, he would likely find people who would work for ALF. He grabbed hold of the door and pushed it open.
Inside, there were benches lining the walls and a counter with a table behind it. The table held thousands if not millions of sheets of paper on it.
A beautiful girl with black glasses looked at him from behind the counter as he entered and she sighed. There were twelve people already sitting down and Jared moved to the counter.
She looked at him and scoffed. Then she spoke.
“If yer looking fer a job, yeh best sit down. It’s gonna be a while.”
“No. I’m actually here to recruit people. I need bakers, chefs, butlers, maids, and cashiers. Maybe a secretary or two.”
Her eyes lit up and she quickly jotted something down. A woman who was sitting down stood up and approached him.
She had blond hair and was smaller than Jared. She had her hair in a French braid and had freckles on her nose. Her clothes were that of a peasant’s and were different shades of brown.
She tugged on Jared’s lab coat. He turned towards him and she started to speak timidly.
“Um, if it’s alright, um, could I work there? As a maid I mean. I can do it! I’m sure!”
“Of course. Just be at the capital stables by sunset.”
“Yes!”
“Anyway, can you inform people that there is now a new job that they can get into? I will wait until sunset at the capital stables. I will come back to recruit four more times on every other day.”
“Ah, yes. But, uh, I will need to confirm your identity first. Ah, wait one sec.”
Someone was calling her from the back room and she stopped writing. She rushed through a door and closed it behind her. After a moment, he heard a small shriek and he heard a thump.
He didn’t know what to do and looked around at the people around him. They were unsure as well and some even stood up, but did nothing.
Suddenly, the door burst open and the woman with glasses came charging out. She had papers in hand and started to work on them as soon as she found her quill and ink. She spoke while she wrote at ridiculous speeds.
“Ok! Yes! Understood! The king has told us to help!”
Jared made a confused face as he exited the building. He couldn’t understand why the king was helping nor how he knew.
Kelly was in a pavilion that they had set up quickly. The material that made up the roof was a cloth material that she had never seen before. The columns holding it up were made of crude pieces of metal.
There was a long table under it and chairs pulled up. There were four chairs in total and she sat in one of them.
The group had met up during the day to discuss how the city would be created and how to do it. Since Kelly, Jared, and Rune had talked to Ulf about the plan, he was there and he had sent the king a message about it.
The king liked the idea and wanted to quickly advance it. He decided to send messages to every job hunting center and tell them the jobs and where they should go.
Coincidentally, he also set up a wagon and carriage group at the capital’s stables. People who wanted to work in ALF would get on and go travel.
They would work on the buildings and earn money. They would also be provided a place to sleep if they finished the homes quickly enough. Then, when the city was finished, they would work in their respective buildings.
There would also be a sleeping area for the maids and butlers for the school. The maids and butlers were to start working immediately as the school was in need of cleaning staff and serving staff.
There was also an added building to the plans so that there would be a stable to keep animals and carriages. So far, this would be the beginning of the first portion of the city known as ALF.
Also, since alfur meant fairy in Icelandic and Alfheim is the land of the fairies in Norse mythology, people believed that this city would be a new start full of joy and happiness. When Rune was asked about it, he responded with an unsure, “Uh, absolutely. That was totally the reason I named it ALF…”
Of course, he only named it ALF due to the Academy of Learning and Fighting. He didn’t really think much past that. When he learned of it, he praised himself for naming it that unawarely.
In the future, it would be a city renowned for its school system and how technologically advanced it was. Rune had understood the value of learning in this medieval world of Arborea. He also understood how useful technology from Earth was and wanted to utilize it for himself.
Kelly sat with Ulf and two other people. Around the table, Enya, Lysp, and Roxana were playing tag and running around the place. They looked like they were having the time of their life when doing so and Ulf smiled.
“If I could, I would like to have an engagement for Lysp and Roxana…”
“What?”
“Nothing.”
Ulf was jolted into reality and understood that he said his comment out loud. However, he was unsure of whether or not Kelly had heard him.
“You would have to get both children and Rune to accept.”
She had heard him and put on a look of being relaxed. She wanted to sleep or play video games, but the time and place would not allow for both. She couldn’t sleep right now because she had work to do and she couldn’t play video games because they weren’t invented, or reinvented, yet.
There were hundreds of stacks of stone and wood around the pavilion and people were already starting to work on the houses. They would need to work on the houses and apartments as a priority first, then the roads.
People needed a place to sleep and have shelter in. The next thing to have would be the restaurants or grocery stores so that people could eat.
There would be a designated area for a farm, but that would be in an area separate from the rest of the town and it would automatically produce crops with the help of the farming tools that could move on their own.
Of course, there was already a farming area and they just planned to expand that. They also planned to take the already existing forge in the school and move it outside of it, but still close. That way, they could expand it and students could go there as well.
As a replacement, there would be a greenhouse for botany. It wouldn’t be too big, but large enough to fit an entire class of kids.
The forge would be moved with the large hovering platform that the school had. It would finally get its debut after not being able to move that Lightning Dragon.
Kelly was talking through the plans with the workers who had been gathered by Ulf already. They were competent workers who understood how to carry through with plans.
Within a day, the group of builders and workers had completed the lower half of an apartment building using potion effects that Sophia had given them. They were haste, efficiency, and strength potions.
The half they had built consisted of the main lobby and four more floors with two apartments each. Each apartment was large enough to fill a family of ten and still have some room left over. There were three bedroom rooms in each as well as a kitchen mixed with a dining area and two rooms where the people living there could do anything to. Next to the master bedroom was a balcon where one could see the sun setting and it looked quite beautiful.
To get up, they were planning on installing an elevator that used gravity magic as well as the stairs that were already built. There was even a fire escape on the balconies.
To help, Kelly had used her tools to build a steel frame for the entire structure and, by the end of the day, she had built five different structure frames. They were all for apartments.
She used her skill, [Channel] to guide people with directions and had also made a large groove in the ground for a street. The streets were going to be like those in New York City. Rune had planned to have a cross cross of road systems that were parallel and perpendicular with each other.
The roads were to be made of cobblestone and there would be lamps that used Light magic on the sides of the roads placed periodically. The sidewalks would be made with a type of cement that Ulf knew how to make and it would be made into many rectangles that were the same size so that the sidewalks would be even.
