To Rune, the lightning dragon was not very big because Rune’s white dragon form was an ancient dragon and the current blue dragon was just an adult. Its scales were a dark blue and its stomach was gold.

It roared as it turned 360 degrees around and it stopped its gaze on Rune. It opened its mouth and electricity began to spark inside its mouth. It seemed like it was going to use its lightning breath.

Rune just threw his flare guard shield in front of him and held it in place. The dragon shot out a beam of lightning at them and hit the shield. The beam of lightning dispersed once it hit his shield and the shield shot out a blast of fire.

The dragon roared in agony as the fire struck its left eye. The rest of the class held their hands over their eyes or tried to run when they saw the dragon attack. Rune looked over at his Honor’s class to his right and spoke to them.

“Oi. Show your mettle and go kill it. If you do, I will give everyone who helped kill it a magic crystal weapon.”

The entire class cheered as they jumped off the balcony area and onto the dragon. To many, it would seem like suicide to first jump off a balcony about three or four stories high and fight a dragon when you land, but this was the perfect plan to help them improve. They already were prepared to attack since they were going to fight each other.

Rena was the first to jump off the balcony and took out her two kamas. Hika was right behind her with a katana. When they both jumped, they swung their weapons downwards towards the dragon’s head.

Both of them found their mark and struck into its head. Both of them didn’t reach too far into it, but Rena’s went in farther due to them being made of magic crystals.

The bloodshed effect was still on and red blood dribbled down its head. It roared in pain as another six students dropped onto it.

The dragon swiped at three people and they dodged easily. They counterattacked with a bow, a knife, and a scythe. Three arrows plunged into its leg and a scythe cut off a part of its tail. The knife was enchanted with an acid effect and started burning another leg.

Its tail whipped around and went for Erin who used his dual greatswords to cut the tail right down the middle. The tail seemed to have become two as blood dripped down from it.

The dragon used its wings to fly upwards and hovered over the coliseum. It started to use its breath attack once again and it launched lightning.

Yula cast [Barrier] around the class which dispelled the breath. The lightning wasn’t dissolved like what happened when Rune’s shield interfered and it moved around the group and entered into the ground.

It seemed that the lightning was hot enough to started scorching the ground and people in the audience were either screaming or not moving due to fear. Some had already run off after the first lightning strike.

Mynn pulled out his bow and aimed at the dragon. Hyht started to enchant the arrow with an enchantment to increase gravity. The arrow flew through the air with immense accuracy.

It struck the dragon in its mouth and its wings tried to beat faster.

The dragon’s wings faltered and it plummeted from out of the sky. Once it hit the ground, it made a huge cloud of dust around them and everyone around could hear a roar.

The eight students from the Honor’s class rushed into the smoke wielding their weapons in a ready position. There was a loud dragon’s roar and then it went silent.

The smoke cleared and the dragon had multiple piercings and slashes in it. It was lying on its side and one eye was missing. The stomach was coming out of the torso and Mynn started to pull the arrows from the various areas attacked.

“Well. It looks like you students have killed the dragon. Good job. Hand in your designs for your weapons sometime. Have some of the staff use the hovering platform to move the body into the freezer in the lab. I’m going to go check on something…”

Rune stood up from his chair and teleported to the king’s palace. He remembered that there was something like an assassination attempt where the king replaced his guards with dolls and he made an illusion of himself.

He wanted to ask what happened and if there were frequent dragon attacks in the area. It was unlikely because he knew that dragons were rare creatures and it would be even more rare if they were adults or ancients.

He had teleported to the front gates of the palace where one of the two guards jumped in surprise. He fumbled for his spear and tried to aim it at Rune. The other guard rushed to stop him.

Once he stopped him, he bowed and motioned the other to do the same.

“Sorry about this, mister Rune! If I may ask, what are you doing here?”

“Ah. I need to ask the king if dragon attacks are common here and why a lightning dragon would randomly attack.”

“Oh. Of course. I will call an escort right away.”

The guard who bowed first moved into his booth and touched a communication stone. He closed his eyes for a bit, then moved to meet Rune again.

“There will be a knight in black and white armor escorting you. Please look for them for the time being.”

After a couple minutes, Rune put down the small knife he was working on. He wanted to try and fuse as many magic crystals into one item while still keeping the same size and shape. The mass would definitely change and the weight would be heavier, but Rune could carry it with his 19,000 strength.

He had put it down when he saw a knight with a checker patterned helmet with white and black colors. At their side, they held a golden and silver sheath with a sword in it. The hilt was fancy with a dragon design on the golden hilt.

They moved towards him after looking around and moved in front of him. Rune was a bit surprised when he noticed that the knight was smaller than him. The knight spoke in a loud and high pitched voice indicating that the knight was a woman.

“You are Rune, correct? My king has allowed you to see him. I shall bring you to him.”

She turned around and moved towards the throne room. They moved rather quickly until they reached the room and the doors opened after two knocks. The king was sitting on his throne with his iconic white armor.

When the king saw him, he got up and moved around the throne towards his back room. There were more guards than before, about forty, who were equipped with three different weapons, a spear, a shortsword, and a crossbow.

The black and white knight moved Rune towards the back room and they entered after the king. The king was already seated at the table when Rune entered and sat down.

“So you have experienced an attack by Tiamat’s Heads. Last time you came here, a young red dragon had attacked. I immediately saw this coming when three of my scouts told me a dragon was coming, They aren’t very stealthy. Anyway, I believe I know their new cause.

They want your power as a Demon King to move forward their cause of causing destruction to this world. Tiamat’s Heads is a cult group for dragon who worship Tiamat. Each head of Tiamat represents a total of five different colors, fire for red, blue for lightning, white for cold, black for acid, and green for poison.

If at all possible, I would like for you to defeat this cult group before they decide to bring Tiamat to this world. I also have heard that they involve honorary dragons like generals with the strength of heroes. They even use otherworldly beings.”

“What? Like Aliens?”

“No, beings from other astral plains.”

“I see… And if I were to kill them?”

“Then you would be compensated for your actions as well as being the most powerful being in the Chaotic Plains. You would also be the most respected person on this world.”

“I… I think that sounds like a wonderful proposal. It would certainly be a great punishment for that lightning dragon interfering with my tournament.”

“Good. Elisa, go with him. You are our strongest knight wielding Excalibur. He has Gungnir.”

“Ehhhh. I do, in a way, but I really don’t…”

“What do you mean?!!”

“Things happened and I kinda absorbed it like I did with Iram.”

“What?!?! That was our most sacred treasure!!”

Elisa was yelling at Rune for doing something like absorbing Gungnir which was a priceless treasure.

“Calm down. If he puts it to good use against Tiamat’s Heads, then it will be used right.”

“I-I see… I will accompany him, but I don’t want him slowing me down.”

“Ha. You should worry about slowing him down. He is the Demon King after killing five out of seven demon king candidates and the other two gave up.”

“But I have 50 for strength, 54 for dexterity, 54 for constitution, 40 for intelligence, 35 for wisdom, and 16 for charisma.”

“Yeah… I have 20,736 endurance, 13,456 for mobility, and 19,044 for strength. My stats are fundamentally different than yours, but I can certainly say that I am much stronger than you. I don’t even know how you guys have surpassed the past Demon Kings when their power was so high.”

The king just laughed while Elisa blanked. She just gawked at the impossibly high numbers presented to her.

“So, where do we start?”

“Well, the king said to start at the Pytium Cave. It is a place where many people avoid because it is a dragon’s nest. Well, it is one of the two locations we got.”

“Yes. I cannot disobey my king. We shall go and fight these dragons. I hear that this is home to many poison and acid dragons.”

The two of them were standing in front of a cave talking to each other. There was nothing else nearby other than the cave entrance due to the dragons clearing things out.

There was a road behind them, but it was not visible from where they were. Elisa had removed her helmet to take a good look and Rune could see her face,

She had light orange hair with a small hair clip in the shape of a sword. Her eyes were different colors with the one on the left being yellow and the one on the right being a light blue. He hair was cut short as to not get in the way of the helmet.

The two walked into the cave and Elisa held Excalibur at the ready. Rune was walking regularly through the cavern.

They seemed to be walking for a while before Rune noticed movement and held his arm in front of Elisa.

He had used telepathy because he could take the chance of accidently having something hear them. He moved forwards to the thing moving to find a tail. It was a long, green tail that had many scales on it.

Suddenly, something turned towards Rune and he found himself face to face with a large poison dragon. Its eyes seemed to scan his entire body before looking over Elisa. She was holding her sword in a position that she could swing it easily.

The dragon seemed to rise up as it sat on its haunches and looked at Rune.

“I have come seeking information of Tiamat’s Heads. Do you know where they are and how to track them?”

“Then I would like the information. All of it.>

“A Demon King dare not fall before a dragon.”

The two of them followed the dragon through the cavern. It moved slowly as it soon entered an open area. There were many green and black dragons around them that were either sleeping or talking. There was an area in the center where no dragons occupied and the green dragon they were following led Rune there.

“Sure. I don’t see why not.”

The green dragon started with a breath attack against Rune and Rune put up his flare guard. The fire from it moved towards the dragon that blocked with its paw. The fire was immediately extinguished and the dragon moved quickly towards Rune.

It struck with its tail, but Rune moved easily and punched its stomach. The dragon was thrown into a wall and slowly moved out.

By then, Rune was rushing towards the dragon and it breathed poison. Rune held his breath and put on a helmet with storage. This was just a reaction though.

He still had an immunity to poison, psychic, and Dark attacks. He kept his first two immunities from the armor and the Dark attack immunity from being the Demon King.

Quickly, he launched three punches at the dragon and it started to cough up blood. In anger, it roared at Rune and knocked him back with its tail. Rune moved his arms to block it, but the force was greater than he anticipated and he was moved back a few feet by the force.

Suddenly, one claw attacked in his blindside and he jumped out of the way. In the air, the dragon swiped at him with another claw and he was pummeled into the ground. He made a large crater with his body and moved ot of the impact.

The dragon used its wings to create air pressure against Rune so that he couldn't get up, but Rune put up a barrier of Earth and fired off three spells in succession. [Wind Strike], [Fireball], and [Gravity Control] were sent at the dragon and all three struck its body.

It seemed that it couldn't move its wings, but it could still move its arms and [Wind Strike] and [Fireball] had almost zero affect on the beast. However, Rune wasn't done yet and he charged at the dragon.

It tried to swipe him while he was running, but the claw seemed to pass through him. Suddenly, his image disappeared and fizzled out of existance. He was using the abilities from Gungnir to create an illusion of himself. He was actually above the dragon and slammed into it from above.

The dragon collapsed and Rune got off from its back. It was coughing up blood and couldn't move, but Rune could tell that the dragon would live.

“Well. It is time to tell me about Tiamat’s Heads.”
