《Cursed Armor Reincarnation》Answers to Comments 1

If that old man is one of the greatest alchemists in the kingdom, why doesn't the kingdom keep an eye on him? How can a bunch of the kingdoms own troops treat him so poorly? Are alchemists not valued in this world?
Also, I assume that that old man's daughter didn't notice the bandits attack since she was in a sealed room and focused in her work, but why wasn't she surprised when her father told her about it? At least, she didn't seem to know about it until her father said something. Assuming that many villagers died, and or got raped, why does everyone seem so normal?
Answer: There are many alchemists within the kingdom and this "old man" likes to live in his village. Also, the elite soldiers treat them poorly because the commander and higher ups within the elites look down on the beast folk and they like to earn money and basically are greedy and lustful. Also, there are no guards because they were killed by the "raiders" in the attack. You don't know this, but they were burned alive with no visible trace left. Secondly, yes people got raped because of the "raiders" lust. Did I not write that? They were not acting normal because they had trauma and I never said that they went back to a normal life. They were especially happy when Rune saved them because they were going to be sold as slaves and stuff. Also, only the guards were killed as the rest of the people were going to be sold as slaves. Thirdly, Sophia was in the sealed off lab because only her and her father and her younger sister were able to go in and out. She didn't notice anything because she usually stayed there for days on end and all her necessities were taken care of inside the underground area. Literally zero need to leave.

Alchemists are not treated too well, but not poorly either. Priests and clerics can heal people and the only reason for alchemists are to create mana potions and health potions for those without healers.
How did he wake up if he can't go to sleep in the first place?
Answer: He is basically daydreaming and spaces out for hours on end. It's basically what he did during his school time.
Will Rune ever have a physical body?
Answer: You'll see later... Likely in chapter 15-16...
Will the story be dropped?
Answer: Probably not. Unless the ratings reach one or something. I intend to take this world and write another novel off of it in the future. Likely, if I continue Cursed Armor Reincarnation, when it ends sometime after at least three books of twenty-ish chapters each. It's not like it is randomly moving about because I have a general idea where I want this to go.
I already don't like the direction this might be going. I can see it now, his absorption ability will slowly lead to him becomeing a jack of all traits and master of all. Wouldn't it have been better if his skill set leaned far closer to pure melee? A good magic system (though this isn't really a magic system) is defined by it's limitations and how the characters overcome those limitations. The same goes for other aspects of a story. Good characters are defined by their limitations and imperfections.
Answer: Do you not see him murdering people everyday? He literally killed so much without giving a second thought on it. Also, the cheat power is given by Lathander, but it is not intune with a personality, but instead what the gods want to give him. Also, the magic system developed by me is due to the d and d magic system only allowing several spells to be used a couple times per day. Also, there should be flaws in a character as is why [Absorb] is not absolute, but it allows for Rune to gain skills and magic quickly enough for him to survive. I would think that Rune's entire character and skill structure is flawed in almost every aspect. He is not a god.

This answer was given with no angry. Sorry if it sounds angry. I think I'm tired...
How does he not notice someone in his "daydreaming"?
Answer: Because he is tired from not resting his mind in like three days and his mind is just wandering now. Just because you can't sleep doesn't mean you can't faint, be knocked out, or jsut blank out. In chapter 5, he is blanking out.
If you daydream hard enough, is it not possible to block out everything in your vision and then some?
Sorry about the ranting. I was tired and a bit frustrated with people. Although, I do realize that my stories are garbage. Also, I would use different language if I could, but I cannot use profanity in this series. Also, truly sorry if anybody doesn't like me for writing this, but I want to clarify before I go mad.

The Many Lives of Cadence Lee
Cadence Lee thought she was a normal girl, perhaps a little well to do, but not exceptionally so. She had her college classes, she had her job that her uncle gave her, and she had a nice boyfriend who was sweet if a little awkward. Except, when a mugger accosts Cadence and her boyfriend attempts to wrestle a gun away from the criminal, Cadence ends up shot. A normal girl, with the kind of wound Cadence had, would die. Cadence managed to do that part. But a normal girl wouldn't then open her eyes again and learn that death is not as permanant for her as it is for other people. She can be reborn again, and again. Each time stronger and with new abilities. The catch? Any world she is born into, she can never return to. She has infinite lives, but only one life for each. So begins The Many Lives of Cadence Lee. Rimward Bound
Every citizen of the sky-cities of His Majesty's Star-Empire knows that a ship, both sky- and star-, is more then just a few bits of metal. It is the grand sum of it's hull and the crew that sail it. 'Hulls of battle-steel and men to match!' That's what the Navy's recruitment poster's claim at least. Every sailor knows that there is one more component that the city-bound folk ignore at their own peril: the soul of the ship. That it takes both man and hull to make a true ship, and that neither alone serve well or for long. In 8225 Lord Jeffrye Saltonstall the Fourth, Political Lord of the Surveyor's Corps, demands semi-automated ships to 'reduce the loss of life among our brave crews', manages to convince the other politicians and bureaucrats to fund them, and gets the Office of Ship Construction to sign off on the ships as structurally sound. Dockyard workers shake their heads at the ships, muttering that they are cursed from birth, even as construction drags on. In 8230 the Explorer, first of her class, is launched. She sets out in 8233 to great fanfare on a trip expected to last six months. Neither she nor her twelve-person crew is ever heard from again. By 8235, the remaining seven Explorers are are commissioned. Lord Saltonstall managed to find crews for six of them but at the cost of mass resignations. The Night Horse, last of the Explorer class, sat in reserve as her sister-ships served well enough despite ill luck and misfortune. The Office of Ship Construction quietly issues notice that no more semi-automated ships are to be built and that all active Semi-automated ships are to be quietly retired and broken up for scrap over the next ten years. The Night Horse, sitting in reserve, is missed due to bureaucratic oversight. In 8250 Lord Ayland Wynstryngham the Eighth assumes the office of Political Lord of the Surveyor's Corps. His first act is to issue notice that no ship is to be without crew nor sit in dock or reserve for longer then required for maintenance and upkeep. The Night Horse, all but forgotten, is quietly brought back into active service. Recruiting a crew for her proves another matter entirely. What poor or desperate fool would willingly sign on to crew, much less command, a cursed ship and spend months or years in deep space? Well, you would, of course. Where else is a kid from the gutters going to find that kind of freedom in the service of His Majesty? A [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] 2021.
