《Cursed Armor Reincarnation》Bonus Chapter 1: Before the Grenades

Rune had started to train in karate and aikido when he was eight years old. He had seen movies about how a strong a person could defeat any opponent and he wanted to protect himself and people he knew. He asked his parents when he was seven years old, but they had said it was too early to start.
For his eighth birthday, they had gotten him children’s lessons for karate and aikido to see which one he liked better. He had gotten into the car and they had started to drive to a dojo that allowed people to learn either aikido or karate.
Rune’s town was not too bland, but was more like nothing exciting ever happened. It was the kind of town where the crime rate was one of the lowest, but their police force was extremely capable. There was a mall on the opposite side of the town which was at the intersection of another city. There was a small farmer’s market twice a year for fruits and vegetables.
The school system was different that that of other schools because they switched some of the math and science classes. Geometry and physics was now in sophomore year and freshmen had algebra II and environmental science.
However different this school was, they still had a good educational system for its students and they gave a lot of freedom to them. People could dye their hair, wear what they want as long as it wasn’t offensive, and multiple other freedoms. The people there were friendly and helped each other out when they were needed.
Rune stared out of the car window as the car entered the parking lot. It was full of empty spaces, but there were multiple cars parked there. They pulled up to a space and stopped the car.

When Rune entered the dojo, he and his parents were greeted by a friendly receptionist. The interior of the building seemed somewhat simple with its wooden floor and mats placed periodically around the floor.
“Are you here to check out karate and aikido?”
Rune nodded and his parents started to give the person the tickets they got when they signed him up. Rune was not watching this event, but was instead focusing on a man with white hair who seemed to beat everyone who he went against. He threw palms and punches and kicks that blew the opponents back as they landed with precision and speed.
“Alrighty, come on Rune. We will go see the instructor, okay?”
The person gave him a smile as he was led to the man with the white hair. The man stopped fighting as he saw the receptionist walk up to him and he waved them off. Then he kneeled to Rune’s height and spoke in a tough voice.
“Hello. Are you Rune? Do you want to be taught karate or aikido?”
“Can I try both before I decide?”
“Ah! A wise choice!”
The man stood up and him over to two mats. Then the man stood on one and gestured that Rune take the other. Then Rune was taught what each looked like and what they were used for.
“So, what do you want to do? You seem to have grasped both concepts easily. I’m sure you can master one of them.”
“I want to do both.”
Rune spoke in a determined voice and the man just chuckled. Then he nodded and waved for the receptionist to come over. They came over with a paper and clipboard and the instructor wrote something.
“He will be signing up for both karate and aikido.”

Karate utilizes attacks made by the hands and feet while aikido takes advantage of opponents using locking, holding, and throwing techniques.
He mastered most of the art of karate and aikido by the age of twelve and had started to practice using different types of weaponry by the age of ten.
He went to the dojo when he was bored and was taught by his instructor, master Ken. He taught Rune the techniques of aikido and karate as well as teach him weapon techniques when he was ten.
Master Ken was a man who had trained from a young age and wanted to train a prodigy who would be as powerful as him. He sensed that Rune wanted to be stronger, but he didn’t force it onto him.
Later on, Rune became a master of dual swordsmanship, the halberd, one handed and two handed swords, scythes, bardiches, bows, battle axes, and knives. He mastered them at the age of fifteen when he diligently worked on his skills at home and at the dojo.
He soon looked over different techniques and developed his own. Using the concepts of knockout and killing techniques, he learned how to bring down an opponent in an instant.
The only problem was that there was no reason for him to to use those moves in the current society. He wished to be in a fantasy world of kill or be killed to use his attacks.
Luckily for him, he would go to a fantasy world. The only problem was that he had to die first.

School-life & Swordfights: A Clubs and Stubs Tale
Warning: Clubs and Stubs contains strong language and situations throughout that may not be suitable for younger readers. "This story takes place in a fantasy world with a modernish setting. It mainly follows four students of Hardires High School who are members of one of the greatest Team Arena Squads in the history of gladiatorial school athletics. Already two-time high-school world champions, they have entered their fourth and final year of high school in hopes of capturing a third straight world championship—something that no other school on the continent has accomplished. As they prepare for an upcoming match with a rival school, it becomes evident that keeping their two-and-a-half-year winning streak alive will be tougher than expected. As both personal and external problems abound for the student-gladiators, can they manage to keep it together under the constant pressure of being the perfect fighting unit? A blend of action, drama, adventure, and humor collide in this brand-new series!" Thanks so much for checking out my story! This is the first time that I've released any of my work to a public space so any feedback, be it positive or negative (but please be respectful if so) would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping that this story is only the beginning of a long-running series of short stories set in the Clubs and Stubs universe. Temporary Book Cover Design by David Watson The release schedule is rather tentative, but the goal is to release a chapter every 2-4 days. I want to make sure that every scene is the best it can be before it’s released, so it may take a bit longer especially if it's a longer chapter. However, no chapter should take more than a week to be released. Each scene varies in length, but are usually between 1,000 to 2,000 words.

Ocean Attuned - A timeloop LitRPG
In the mids of industrialization, Liana, a girl of almost twelve, awakens her flow and follows her newly awakened calling, the ocean, and thus the path of the last remaining god. With the advent of industry, one's status and the accompanying skills slowly grow to be secondary as people choose more recreational skills and classes. The clear exception are flow bringers. Humans with an increased affinity towards flow and attunements are the only real remnants of the age of gods and mysticism. Terrors on the battlefield, saints in hospitals, saviours during drought, are just some examples of the wonderous abilities they display. As civilization grows less dangerous so does the stress that is often associated with the awakening of the flow reduce and only the real talents remain. Please be aware that this is a first draft at best. Tag/Genre analysis: Action: A theme that will appear in the story at some point (probably 15+ chapters in) Adventure: Yes Fantasy: Yes Magic, Beasts, and other fantastical elements are totally at home here. Tragedy: Life is not always fun. For what is fun when there are no downsides. I don't know how heavily I am going to lean into this genre. I want to but don't expect too much. Loop: Yes, though I will not divulge anything else. Just be aware that there isn't nearly as much looping as in MoL for example. Female Lead: Yes, Liana is female. Dungeon: Yes, there are dungeons. Yes, they will get explored. LitRPG: Yes, read the first chapter if you want an example. Magic: most definitely because who doesn't like calling lighting down from the heavens. (Disclaimer: No actual lightning will be called down from the heavens) Mythos: There are gods. So maybe, I don't know if that is enough to qualify? Progression: yes Slice of Life: There is plot, and the story will mostly be about that plot, but there will also be downtime because there can't always be action. The first "loop" especially the first 20-30 chapters will be heavily SoL. And afterward there will be a lot less. Profanity: The ocean (see title) includes sailors and we all know how the stereotypical sailor is. Gore: Hmmm, some but I will have it be not graphic at all.
