Jason looked one more time and muttered to himself in a sad voice
"I lost, in every single way imaginable"
Boops attempted to encourage him
'don't worry Jason you just started and you have plenty of room to grow!"
As Boops was trying to encourage Jason and stop him from falling into despair. One of the rose knight trainees walked up to him.
"You're the new recruit, right? well follow me, ill show you around"
He then promptly turned around and walked off the field. Jason hurried after him.
Eventually, after hiking up a small hill and through some narrow paths they reached a small campus, full of dull grey buildings. There were three buildings that stood out. They were the largest ones, Jason approached the three buildings, they were spread out, one was in front and the other two were on the left and right of the central building. The trainee stopped and pointed toward the three big buildings.
"The buildings you see are the 3 main barracks, each barrack holds a third of the recruits. Each barrack is designated by color,"
he pointed to the one in front of him that was surrounded by shrubs and tall grasses.
"that one is the blue barracks, its know for producing smart and tactical geniuses"
his hand then swiveled to the one on the right which sat on a plain dry field of sand
"that one is the red barrack its know for bringing in the greatest fighters"

and finally, he pointed to the last one which had a thick forest behind it
"and that is the green barrack, its know for producing the most toughened reconnaissance fighters"
The continued moving up the hill and stopped at the largest building in the entire campus. The trainee lead Jason in to see all of the chairs and tables inside.
"This is the cafeteria where we all eat, be sure to get here on time or you get no food"
They continued walking into a gym and where all sorts of equipment were placed Jason could see weapons of every kind, targets, pits for wrestling, and more.
The recruit ended the tour explaining that his groupmates would show him the rest and pointed him toward a group of 5 people who were training with their swords.
Jason held his breath and approached them with a friendly smile.

Jones was looking over the capsule that had just been installed in his room. He was still skeptical of the promises the MH company gave to them.
He sighed to himself
"haa, fine I guess ill try it"
He then logged in and entered his name as (squid boy) since he was asked to by Jason.
He also chose the job mage, since that was something he always wanted to do.
[entering world of wonders]
When Jones appeared in the game world he acted like everyone else who had just arrived. They gasped and stared at their arms waving it around a few times and even shivering from feeling the cold breeze that had just blown over.
Jones instantly knew that this game was going to be the new future and probably a second world for humanity.
He also knew that this was his chance to be somebody influential, somebody strong, and most importantly somebody who could protect and be relied on.

The same episode happened in Masuda, Mika, Aiden, Gabriel, Luna, and Najimi's place. They all instantly knew about the value WOW had and how it would explode. They all started to plan to focus entirely on the game.
Luna pulled out an expensive-looking phone and started calling people. Masuda ran to power level. Mika and Aiden went out to level up while hurling insults at each other and Gabriel joined them acting as a guardian.
Of course, if a few highschoolers could figure out the worth of the game many people around the world would be able to also. Captain Sarah from the Death Reapers was one of the many people who had also understood the worth of the game. The competition and stock of the MH company started to skyrocket much to Jason and Boops's delight.

Dungeon Core? Nah, I Think I'll Just Get Super-Wealthy Instead
The cycle is simple enough. A Dungeon Core is born from a wayward soul. It seeks power and agency, and works to accumulate wealth to fuel its power, in turn using this power to accumulate further wealth. Inevitably, the mind is lost as desperation and ambition drive it to commit darker and darker acts. Shortly thereafter, the adventurers arrive to quell the core. This is a tale that has repeated itself countless times throughout history: all cores desire power. And yet, this core seems to have it backwards. It doesn't want to rule the world. It has no desire to enslave or conquer. No, this core doesn't want to be a warlord, a villain, or a tyrant. It wants to start a core-poration. After all, when money is power, what greater weapon is there than capitalism? Join a dungeon core that wastes an absurd amount of time and effort trying not to be evil on his journey to earn fat stacks against all odds. -This is a 'Dungeon Core' type fiction with LitRPG elements in it. The start may be fairly slow compared to the average. Expect roughly 2.5k per chapter. -I'm only a hobbyist writer. As such, there may be the occasional error and pacing may be poorly-handled. Constructive criticism is alway welcome. I'm just here to write stuff that makes my brain release the g o o d c h e m i c a l s. -I am trashy and I like monsterpeople so you can expect an awful lot of those as we get further in. Thank you for reading this far, and I hope you enjoy.

Bet you want to know how I got stuck inside of the internet don't you. Well, it is a long and tragic tale that starts very simply. With the release of a game. Not just any game mind you, it was the release of the first ever full dive VRMMORPG, cliche sounding I know but bear with me as I thought the same thing. Any explanation on how it was released is beside the point just know that it was and I, just as any self-respecting gamer would be was extremely fucking hyped for it. The game was called 'Legend Has It' and the allure was that you would get to play as a god or spirit and interact with a vibrant world of NPC's. So I began to play, eager to experience this for myself, little did I know my life would change forever. So sit back, relax and let me regale you on how I got myself stuck in this predicament, for it starts with a boy, a game and a battle between gods. Ominous I know, let's get started.
