《Subordination system》Guild

"Okay why is this place so freaking large?"
Jason said as he looked up and gazed at the large interior of the guild. Large wooden crossbeams, windows that let the sunshine slowly float and a multiple balconies were fit into the large hall.
Tables were set up everywhere and the main hall looked like a large cafeteria just full of wooden tables and benches. Numerous adventures were sitting on them talking amongst themselves.
Jason could see numerous races just like the outside.
At the very end of the hall, you could see the receptionist counters. 15 counters were laid out with receptionists manning each one.
Jason chose the shortest line and waited in front of a group covered in black wearing dark hoods that covered their faces.
After he waited for a bit, he met the receptionist who was a pretty, brown-haired woman whose name tag read Achieva.
She looked at Jason normally once and then she looked again to see if she miss saw something.
Her eyes widened in shock as she gazed at him, but she recovered and started to act in a professional manner.
"What can I do for you, sir?"
Jason replied
"I would like to register as an adventurer"
"ah yes, one second"
She hurried to a small room in the back and returned moments later with a scroll.
"Please fill this in and return it to me later."
Jason took the scroll back and sat down at an empty table. The scroll was laid out before him reading.
[please fill in the blanks]
[Name]
[Job]
[types of quests accepted]
[Arch]
[Swordsmen]
[any]
Jason finished the paper in a few seconds. It was so fast that he started to look for another page.
"is that really it? well, guess ill take it to her again"

When it was Jason's turn again the guild receptionist looked at the paper and then back at him
"Arch huh, well I'll register you but first please answer these questions."
She looked at him with clear green eyes and touched a crystal globe sitting on her counter which also emitted a green light.
"Do you have a criminal record?"
"no"
"Any thefts robbery-murder or arson?"
"no"
"Is your name really Arch?"
"yes (technically yes since it's my registered name)"
She nodded as is satisfied but then jolted in realization
"Are you currently in any type of relationship?"
"no?"
Jason ended his answer in a questioning remark since he was trying to rationalize the reason why she was asking that. After all, he was 15 and he didn't understand why Boops was laughing right now.
The receptionist broke the confused air by briskly continuing on.
"well that concludes the questioning, I will put in your application, please come back tomorrow for your guild card."
"hmm yes thank you"
Jason left the hall under the eyes of many people including the hooded people he was in line with earlier.
'Boops what was with that last question about? what type of relationship was she talking about? like friendship?'
Boops snickered
'ah, you'll understand in due time dude'
Jason said to himself to clear himself from the confusion in his head.
'well I shouldn't worry about the past, I need to figure out what to do now.'
Jason reviewed his status in his head.
Jason Archer
Age: 15
male
level: 15
Stats
strength 8
stamina 7
agility 6
intelligence 8
wisdom 7
charm 10
10 empty status points
status: healthy
Boops gave Jason guidance.
'well, we have a bit of time before the rest of the gamers come. What do you think would be the best choice for us?'

Jason replied with a bit of hesitation
'umm hunt take quests and loot everything?'
Boops heartily laughed and urged Jason forward
'HAHAHA that's my boy! now onward!'
So Jason went looking for quests while heading out to the city, again for the 2nd time. Jason was always a bit shy so it was hard for him to just approach a person out of the blue. He was hesitating when he heard a scream on his left. A red haired woman chased after a person for a bit before shouting, she seemed to shout towards him directly
"thief!"
Jason reacted even before Boops did, he started to chase after the thief who covered his face with a large hat. He went in chase of the man, his thoughts were perfectly spoken by Boops
'hehehe I smell a quest! faster Jason faster!'
Jason was able to put in a bit of speed, but in the end, the thief was a seasoned veteran in his business and could outrun Jason who had not put many stats into agility. The thief was slowly widening the gap and Jason was about to just throw his sword and pray something would happen or give up, when he looked at the lady who's bag had just been stolen from.
She was COVERED in expensive jewelry and clothes. Everything about her screamed "rich"
Jason's brain started to churn again while Boops tried to dissuade him
'nonono Jason I know what your thinking, stop right there don't do it'
'dude I might need to go all out'
'it might damage you and your character for a long time.'
'But she looks hecka rich and if I can get affinity with her it'll be awesome, I think it's worth it.'
Boops sighed and gave up
'ah whatever, it's up to you in the end'
Jason after successfully pulling Boops to his side again thought in his mind
"invest 10 empty status points into agility"
[10 points have been placed in agility]

Scorched - The Winter Winds (LitRPG)
Frank Ebner once wanted to save the world. Let the second one be better than the first. On Earth he was a student of... well it hardly matters anymore. It was dying, and he and the rest of his fellows and friends studying how to stave off the end graduated just in time to be told it was too late. That there was not enough time, funds, will, to stop it anymore. That the governments and the worthies of the world had moved from trying to stop it, to surviving the oncoming apocalypse, while blaming each other. That was a world Frank wanted nothing to do with. One riven by wars for places in the Archologies going up, and between them and the dying world they were leaving behind. So when a strange voice offered him a way out, to a world unmarred by the poison killing his? Frank took it. The voyage changed him, made him fit his new world, one of stats and magic. It came with perks, for in passing through their Heavens, they'd been exposed to Divinity, and taken some of the Celestial within them. Heroes now, but there are heroes, and there are Heroes. The nobility of the Empire care only for those who carry blessed bloodlines, and their time to adapt and train up for the new world is limited. Patrons are scarce among those like Frank, with only the base Hero perks, and magic studies expensive and lengthy. Often requiring heavy Oaths to gain the necessary aid to wield mana as a mage. Frank found another way. It nearly cost him his life. Now on the run and burned by the very magic he sought and craved, he is a pilgrim traveling to the The Eternal Tree, font of Perseverance. Frank hopes Ir-karlak will grant him some way to recover from the fires that scorched him. Without snuffing out the embers those fires lit within, for he has learned to harness them and he would not give up magic for the world. *** In the last 21 days, as I update this, I've managed about 18-19 updates. So Scorched should update most days, muse willing. She's fickle, sometimes. Not every day, but most. If there's an update for the day, it will be at 7PM, GMT+2. *[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Actually completed it. :) *

Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.
