《Otherworldly Adventures》Chapter 6 - Full Examination

As Lowell, Weiss, and Qazar entered the dark room filled with curtains, they noticed a Crystal Ball in the middle and it was placed on a table with black mantle. Beside it was a piece of thin metal and it was glowing like the ball.
Suddenly, a voice echoed inside the dark room. It was a grumpy and cold voice, combined with the creepy atmosphere. This situation will make one feel a chill in their spines.
”Oh?! It look’s like we have two exceptional fleurs out here…”
The three of them turned pale in fright when they saw the scene unfold. Only Weiss was the one who uttered a sound.
“Hiii! A ghost!!”
Weiss pointed his hand towards the back of the crystal ball. A face emerged out of thin air.
“How rude! I’m not a ghost! This is a epic-tier air magic, Wind Projection. Don’t you see its greatness?!”
The face became angry.
“Hiiiiiii!!!! I-I’m sorry!!”
Weiss hastily apologized while Lowell and Qazar stood still, dumbfounded.
“Don’t worry! Hahaha! I’m born with this face.”
The face floats around.
“It’s been a while since I saw a Spatial Fleur.. and a strong one at that.
The face enlarged as it approached Lowell.
Lowell's fear was overshadowed by her curiousity.
“Uhmmm… Honorable mister, how did you know I’m a spatial magic user?
The face smiled creepily, like he was puffing his chest as this moment.
”I’m a High Ranked Professor, Wislett Accordia, a Wind-elemental Fleur. Only people of Professor-rank and higher knows this, but I shall share it on the three of you here since you look like friends. If I ever heard you make this a gossip… Heheheheh… but you don’t want to make me angry, right?”
Wislett made a scary face.
The three of them broke into cold sweat. They responded hastily because of this.
"“Sir, yes Sir!”"
Wislett's face returned to his normal grumpy face and laughed.

“Hahaha! Don’t be so nervous. Just follow my instructions, and nothing bad’s gonna happen to you.”
The three of them nod hastily.
We don’t want to get the bad side of this person.
They thought.
”A person who has either Silver hair or silver eyes is a candidate for being a Spatial Fleur. The only difference from other normal people is that their silver part is glowing because of tremendous mana.
Practitioners and below doesn’t see this, but mana-sensitive people like Professors and above can see it. If it is eyes, we call it minor Spatial Fleur. If it is hair, we call it major Spatial Fleur. But in your case, both eyes and hair is silver-colored.. and both of them are glowing with mana, making you a full Spatial Fleur.
Unlike those previous two, magic control of a full spatial is comparable to a Low-ranked Practitioner at their Apprentice Tier. You can summon even living things, which minor and major Spatial Fleurs couldn’t do. A Tamer or a Summoner might be good, but you’re still too young.. ”
Wislett looks at Lowell with affirmation.
“By the way, you look too beautiful with that silver hair and eyes.. maybe those guys are lovers?”
Lowell looks towards Qazar and Weiss at her back. Both of them looked downward, avoiding her gaze.
“No, they’re my friends…. sir, what is a lover?”
Lover? I don’t know what lover is… Is it a special friend?
Wislett burst into a loud laughter. It was the loudest one he did since they met.
“Hahaha! That struck hard! Do your best, gentlemen!”
Both Qazar and Weiss’ face reddened. Did they became sick? Lowell stuck her hand towards their heads and puts her head on the other side of her hand. Her mom did this to her when she's sick.
“Are you both sick? What part does it hurt?”
“Oi, oi. If you do that, you’ll make them more sick.. in both bad and good way..”

When Lowell looked at their faces, they’re already red all over.
It looks like I’m the reason of their sickness.
She thought of that.
“I-I’m sorry!”
She bowed while apologizing.
“I-it’s nothing worth apologizing. Right, Qazar?”
“Ah?! Eh… Right!”
Wislett coughed as if trying to get the three's attention.
“Let’s stop this and proceed with the test. #12, Lowell Zvalle, stand on the stool and place your hand on top of the ball.”
Wislett looks at them in a bored manner.
“Yes!”
Lowell placed her hand on top of the ball. The thin piece of metal shone brilliantly. After a few seconds, the light subsided.
The thin metal produced a card. The card flew around and suddenly stopped in front of Lowell.
“Get that card and move on.”
Lowell took the card, only to see that it was blank.
“Sir, what is this card?”
She asked as she flip the card all over curiously.
“A Identification Card. Most of your personal details are in this card. Use mana to make the engraved words appear.”
Lowell listened to him and started to input mana. One by one, words appeared on the surface of the Identification Card.
『
Name: Lowell Zvalle
Age: 5 years old
Birthplace: Blanc City
Aptitude: Low Rank – Practicioner Tier Fleur
● Title: ——
● Job: ——
● Attributes: Fire, Earth, Water, Wind, Spatial
● Special Skill: Skill Forger, Eye of Investigation
』
Something unfamiliar popped out of her assessment.
“What’s a special skill?”
“Oh? You have one?- Ah don’t answer that. It would be bad for my reputation to inquire a testee if he has a skill or not.”
“Why?”
“Because.. you know! It’s a special skill! Only you can use it! People dreamt to have one! May it be a life-saver skill or anything, if you have a skill only you can use, aren’t you gonna be proud of it?”
“Mhm!”
Of course I’d be proud. It would make me unique.
She thought as she ponder the effect of her skills.
She already used the skill 'Spell Forger', but the other, 'Eye of Investigation' is very unfamilliar to her.
“How should I use this?”
Lowell cutely tilted her head like a lost child. Wislett asked her with his usual bored and grumpy face.
“I can’t ask you about the main details, but what body part does your skill need to be used?”
Since it says 'Eyes of Investigation', Lowell instantly thought of her eyes.
“Eyes.”
“Just focus your mana on the body part it uses, and voila~! It would take effect.. Oi,oi? What are you doing? Don’t use it on me! Use it outside later!”
Wislett noticed the mana concentration in Lowell's eyes are getting higher.
Lowell stopped gathering mana. Wislett let out a sigh of relief.
“Whew.. what an impatient child. Now, for the finishing touches, do you see those big dots before each detail? Insert your mana inside. It’s the only way for Fleurs to hide their critical information. We don’t want to get controlled by higher-ups or nobles because of them, right? Don’t worry, even the guild can’t acquire those details. That plate only identifies the mana of the owner. After that, Place it on that table.”
After saying that last line, a table beside us appeared. It must be because it’s too dark we didn’t notice it at all. In the middle of it, a rectangular hole is visible. It looks like the Identification Card would fit perfectly on it.
Lowell followed Wislett’s instructions and finished the test.
“Now, #13, Qazar Aquila, you’re next. Looking at you, I suspect you’re a Major Darkness Fleur. Oh, well. Let’s confirm my suspicion. You know the procedure, right?”
After Qazar, Weiss followed. The three thanked Wislett and left the room. There, they saw Belle, Louis, Aurel, and Weiss’ butler outside the room.

Dream Dungeon
Welcome to the dream dungeon. Ely suddenly finds himself in a mysterious dungeon accessed only through sleeping. Many people are drawn into this dream world, confused and mystified. Those in this dungeon must kill monsters to survive; maybe even each other. Join Ely as he struggles to survive a ruthless environment. What replaces his rest is untold trauma. What seems like an innocent game trope turns into a nightmare. This is a story of tragedy and the path to ultimate power. All in the hopes of an uncertain survival. _________ This fiction has NOT been abandoned. I made a haughty promise earlier to not worry because I'll continue this series, and with things lately, I've only proved myself a liar. Further promises dwindled, and I've lost trust. So many things have been going on recently that I've been booked. I will refrain from making any future guarantees or promises as my busy schedule will stay with me for a long long while. Time for me to actually spend on writing and revising won't appear until at the least November 19. I won't say expect that's when I'll restart, but you can expect expecting it to maybe happen. That's really shallow. But with everything going on, I've let my small reading base down. I apologize. I still stick by my statement though that I won't abandon this project. I plan to stick it to the end, no matter the delay. Most importantly, thank you everyone; readers who both like and dislike my work. I appreciate your time spent on my dumb imagination. Stay toasty my readers in this winter season. Cheers. UPDATE: We're back on track. Thank you for your patience. Any future readers, heyo! Glad you're here. UPDATE 2: So far it's been 21 days since I last uploaded a chapter. The best thing done for any fiction, no matter how good it is, is that it continues, and I have a bad history with that. 1 fiction on hiatus and already more delays with less than 20 chapters in this fiction. I've been very preoccupied with adding more things to do in my life rather than actually committing to any particular thing. That applies primarily to this. I cannot abandon this, as busy as my future looks and will look as I get busier and busier. Someday, I hope, I will be able to sit down and just write. just. write. But for now, I ask for patience. I suppose I'm glad this fiction hasn't picked up so that I don't disappoint too many people if any really. But I need to commit and it's going to happen sometime and sometime soon. No more flowery words. I'll see you later. UPDATE 3: It's very evident I won't be able to pick up this story for a while. With AP Testing, competitions, and other things I am busier than ever. But I must complete this fiction. I have too. Until next time. UPDATE 4: It is now the summer. I owe everyone an apology. Chances are, nobody's around to see this, and that is okay. I only blame myself for this sort of brokenness of a fiction, not that it is actually that bad but I am just exaggerating it for dramatic effect. But what's not exaggerated is the severity of my broken promise. I apologize for my naive claims about finishing a novel that I couldn't finish and that I didn't have the discipline to finish. Nor the skills, really, I was and am still an immature writer. What is to place now? I want to make it clear I understand this is my fault. I will man up to this. And I will accept any criticism. I understand I messed up. Reading Stephen King's On Writing made it clear to me that I need to do two things:Read lots. And write lots.I have done neither. If I don't have the time to read often, how do I expect to write? I need to become more experienced. I need to become a serious writer. So if I want to dream of continuing, I need to at least fulfill both requirements. I enjoy writing. I haven't written seriously outside of school in a while. I planned to write this summer and finish this. I made a lot of promises that I didn't keep.So there's that. I won't enact any self-pity, or be foolishly obsessed. What I did was wrong, and I must deal with it. I let down readers. And I apologize.I hope I can find forgiveness. This is a writer's sin.I won't promise I'll finish this. I intend to finish this, at some point, because writing is fun and I want to write. But how things are don't reflect that. Maybe I'll finish this at some point. Maybe I won't. I won't be naive to make that promise.I thank everyone who has read this if this is the end. If not, and hopefully not, I thank everyone who is to read future chapters. I thank everyone who allowed me to live in the miniscule little dream of mine as I passed my days. I thank everyone who cares enough to read this. Until next time, peace everyone. Thank you. You are all great readers and great people. I wish everyone the best in whatever reading/writing endeavors follow you henceforth.

Guerdon
The sheer vastness of the planes of reality meant that if a combination of laws is stable enough, then it probably exists. The protagonist encounters one such stranger than fiction world that he has a hard time wrapping his head around. He is left alone in an Alien Reality. To him survival isn't the most important after all that he had been through, but he refuses defeat in his pursuit to understand the strange reality he finds himself in. Join this journey of his new story in finding out the answers and secrets of this world. I like this Genre to put it bluntly but I've always found that illogical 'Science' and flawed laws of the world, typical in these stories. So, I've decided to fix that. I have tried my best to make weirdness make sense in this World filled with Magic. Short of simulating them to verify, the laws of this new world should make some reasonable sense and will be consistent (As much as I humanely can keep it that way). This might mean my story might vary in it's progression speed but as a compensation, I promise to have a lot more sensible Cliffhangers if I must put them in. Also, I'm not a big fan of over using vocabulary when telling a story. So, My Language will be very unsophisticated. Hope that's not a putoff. So, Enjoy your reading!

Writing test
So... It has come to my knowledge that I need a proper synopsis to post/save this so here goes a thing: Someone dies, and what comes after seems to be like one of those myths of old where you are brought to the afterlife, except, this particular soul's afterlife doesn't seem like it will be comfortable, will it? WARNING: I am only writing this because I want to see how long I can keep writing from here and I am only posting it in RR because I like the display. I advise you do not start reading it but if you do, know that I PROMISE NOTHING. Pd: I write in the night settings so it may be needed to see.
