It'd been a while since Eclina and Espiral had left, and we were essentially done with the plan to kick out the lord, so we thought about looking for them before we started the plan. Luckily for us, we didn't have to go looking for them since hey came to us.

(Endis) " Where'd you guys go? "

(Eclina) " To get food. "

That was normal, they didn't really eat ever since we went to the cove. Espiral had just slept and Eclina was too busy helping us so hearing that they went to eat, it was just something to be expected. So, we just nodded at them and brought up what we had been talking about.

(Mina) " We're going to be making Reina give a speech so do you think you could help out? "

(Eclina) " You just need me to amplify right? Like what papa did with Reina's dad? "

(Mina) " Yeah. If everything goes the way we planned then we should end up with somewhere for us all to stay while you two are here. It should even be enough for you two to be comfortable until you have to leave. "

I could see Eclina look like she would agree so that was good. We could've had Ava do it, though we needed range so atleast a majority of the citizens could hear what i would be saying. Eclina had done a lot for us so i felt a little bad for asking her to do something else for us.

(Espiral) " Sis doesn't have to do something like that. I'm more then enough so i'll do it. "

(Eclina) " I can do it though. "

(Espiral) " No. I'll do it. Sis can just get some rest. "

That made me feel better. Espiral seemed like he didn't want Eclina to do anything else and i was happy with that. I didn't want to keep pushing things onto her either. And with that all said and done, we started heading towards the plaza since there would be enough people there and there were buildings that would be tall enough for what we needed. I looked over to Espiral, and saw him spread his wings as a current of air burst outwards and covered a big enough area for our needs.

(Reina) " *Ahem* Hello everyone- "

(Endis) " That's how you're going to start out? "

(Mina) " Shh! "

Even though they meant to whisper, with the amplification up, everyone heard them. I couldn't help but flinch and swear in my mind that i would do something to him when he wasn't expecting it.

(Reina) " As you may know, there was a wave of ants that surged towards the gates earlier in the day. Those ants were a result of a rift that had opened in the cove a ways away from here. We are happy to announce that the ants that had come from the rift are all dead and that they shall never be a problem again. This is said on the honor of the Moonlit Wolves.- "

(Eclina) " I like that name. "

(Espiral) " If sis likes it then i like it. "

I'll just let that be. What was i going to do anyway?

(Reina) " *AHEM* However this wasn't an effort made by our party alone. As seen numerous people, if not everyone, there were massive earthen slabs that played the most important role in handling the wave of ants. The two beasts you see behind us are the ones who are not only responsible for stopping the first wave but also helping us cull the ants in the cove. Without their help there would've been casualties without a doubt. "

The crowd seemed to be affected by that as i could see them have a shift in how they looked at Eclina and Espiral. So far so good. The crowd was doing what we expected and eventually, the target of our plan came into view. He may have changed the vibe of some of the crowd, though that affect would only be temporary. I could see the faces of some of those guards under their helmets, and they looked like they didn't even want to be here. Good, we could use that with what i was about to say next.

(The lord) " Don't be fooled! Those beasts are far worse then any ant! Those giant slabs alone could be used to murder you all, yet they want us to let those monsters be here, infront of us all?! "

Despite what he was saying, the crowd didn't seem to care. I could see a few looks of contempt aimed at the lord, from the people in the crowd. It was going so smoothly that i was starting to think this was a play and he was just one of the actors. It was just that good.

(Mina) " So it's "you all" when it comes to people being killed but "us" when it's convenient for you? Interesting. "

That however, got a reaction from the crowd and the people around the lord. The looks of contempt for the lord grew, not only from the crowd but his guards aswell. Though the lord didn't seem to care.

(The lord) " That is besides the point. As the highest ranking official here, i am ordering those monsters and the ones who let them in be expelled! "

(Reina) " The highest ranking official, huh? The same high ranking official that didn't want the citizens to know that there was a rift creature coming towards the gates the first time and leave the unknown threat to the guards? That high ranking official? "

At first, there was a silence as the people below were comprehending what was just said. Then there were people who turned to the lord and saw him grinding his teeth. And then, the whole crowd and the lords guards all turned to and on him. Their gazes just oozing contempt for the lord. In situations like these, i thought there would need to be evidence or something like that. Though it looked like the people just took his reaction and change in demeanor as all the evidence they needed. Perfect.

The lord started to panic and tried to get his guards to act, but none of them listened. Then, when one of the guards was about to hit him he made a mistake while trying to run that resulted in him falling. The crowd ended up piling around him and took advantage to hit him with kicks and other attacks that weren't lethal.

(Reina) " Now that that's done, we can head over to his mansion and relax. "

(Mina) " Things went a little too smooth but hey, not complaining. "

(Orven) " It is the fact that throwing out the mayor of a city went "too smoothly" in your eyes, is frightening in itself. "

(Endiis) " Don't look the gift horse in its mouth. "

(Eclina) " Gift horse? "

(Reina) " It's a form of expression. Basically, don't look into a gift too much. "

Saying that, Eclina just nodded as we started to move. Espiral followed behind the rest of us as we started heading towards the manor. It was at this point that Mina went over to the crowd to start working damage control, of there was any, and did her work. Mina was the smartest of us and knew the most about what had to be done in this situation. So leaving it to her was the obvious choice.

We stopped in front of the gated mansion with two guards in front, which seemed surprised at me and the others and then a little worried about Eclina and Espiral. But with some talking, their fears seemed to be lessened, or they just managed to not show it on their faces. They opened the gates and led us in, though Eclina and Espiral kept looking around since the path leading to the mansion had alot of space that they seemed to like. There was even a fountain where Eclina and Espiral started to drink from. Then we made it inside, since Espiral was too big to get in, he stayed outside by the fountain as we kept heading in.There were maids around us and they were muttering to each other, though i couldn't hear what they were whispering.

No one seemed interested in bothering him and they kept their distance. For now, we kept walking around with the help of the butler who volunteered his services, and eventually we made it to some sort of balcony that overlooked space behind the mansion which had a garden of some sort. It wasn't a traditional garden since there was a strange scent from the one kind of flower that made up the whole garden. If it wasn't for us talking to the butler, we would've probably been way more annoyed then we were. The butler had told us about the strange flowers that were being grown here but we didn't know what they were.

(Ava) " Aren't those lusteria blossoms? "

(Endis) " Yup... Welp, looks like we've got something to do before we can relax. "

(Butler) " E-excuse me, honored guests, if you did this the lord would would- "

(Reina) " I doubt he'll be coming back with Mina handling the situation. "

The butlers brows scrunched up but i could tell it wasn't out of concern for the lord.

(Butler) " Then who will be in charge of the estate? "

(Endis) " Dunno. Cous will figure that out. Just know you guys won't have to deal with him anymore. "

That seemed to reassure the butler since he just nodded. Though, i could see he was thinking about stuff. With the butler reassured, the others looked over at the garden and talked for a bit before deciding what we should do. Then we eventually decided to let Ava take care of it since she could sever the stems with air blades. Eclina could do that too and even offered to do so, though we stopped her from doing anything. But we had to have someone pull out the roots after the stems were cut off so they could deal with them. If it weren't for the blossoms ability to expel spores if they were uprooted or moved, then we could've had Orven use earth to move them. Even if it would damage the garden.

(Reina) " We should probably figure out what these were here for. Since we all know, a bachelor like him wasn't using this for family matters. "

(Endis) " Hey butler, got any ideas? "

(Butler) " I'm sorry esteemed guests, none of the staff were ever involved in the management of the estates affairs. Those that would know are close associates of the lord. "

(Endis) " Great... Nothing useful... Hahhh. "

(Reina) " We'll figure it out, we've got time. "

At some point, Eclina left since when i turned around, she wasn't there. Though as long as nothing started exploding or the ground collapsed, we didn't have to search for her. It'd be good to let them relax. Then we went back to talking with the butler to get as much informatioon we could.

(Reina) " Who are these "close associates", that you mentioned? "

The butler seemed to start thinking about how to answer, so no one rushed him and let him think. While he was thinking, Ava was going to work on the lusteria blossoms and cutting their stems. After atleast two minutes, the butler had an answer for us.

(Butler) " The staff weren't allowed to know this however, there were rumors that one of these associates was the right hand man of the head guard. These rumors appeared after a maid who was running an errand witnessed an odd sight. This man, who i believe is called Yori, was seen carrying a small medallion that the lord had specifically made to order. A majority of the staff knew about these madallions as they were ordered to fetch the materials. However, the rumor was forced down after the maid recieved lashes and was fired. Due to the excessiveness of the punishment, we all believed the rumor to be true. "

(Endis) " What do those medallions look like? "

(Butler) " ... If my memory serves me correctly... They should look like a small locket, have a small golden eagle and a thin chain. "

(Endis) " Hmm... "

Oh... He has the look.

(Reina) " You can't kill him. Torture is fine, after Mina comes back though. "

(Endis) " I don't know what you're talking about. "

(Reina) " Sure you don't. "

Ava and Orven just looked at us and sighed. Even the kids were looking at us differently. The removal of the lusteria blossoms was going good and after ten minutes, they were all cut and being uprooted by Orven. We put all the blossoms and their roots in a giant barrel and set them ablaze. They weren't needed so we obviously got rid of them all. We made sure to keep the lid together and made sure there weren't any air holes so we wouldn't be affected.

After that, we got rid of the barrel full of ashes and went back to looking at the mansion we were going to be staying at for a bit. We reached the second floor and got to a window that overlooked the front gate. That's when we saw Eclina and Espiral curled up at the fountain just sleeping. From the window, we could see the guards peeking over at them from time to time and there were even a few maids doing the same.

They probably wouldn't do anything since they might be scared of them doing something when they wake up, but they might try when they naturally wake up. They would soon know the softness that is Eclina's fur. They'd probably enjoy the petting so we could try to spread around the good word. It wouldn't be that hard to do either. Though for now, we would have to deal with the mansion stuff and get word from Mina about the whole lord situation. We eventually saw enough of the mansion to know our way around it without getting lost, so we sent the butler away and went to the office.

(Reina) " So, is everyone good with the mansion layout? "

(Endis) " You already know my answer. "

(Ava) " I might get lost if i take a wrong turn, but i'm fine. "

(Orven) " I have no issues. "

(Reina) " Good. Then until Mina comes back, let's relax. "

(Ava) " I'm going to the kitchen! "

(Reina) " If you're getting candy, bring me some. "

(Ava) " Ok. "

(Endis) " I'll be heading out. "

(Reina) " Don't get caught. "

(Endis) " You don't even know what i'll be doing. "

(Reina) " Endis... "

He knew that i knew since he just clicked his tongue and nodded at me. The last one was Orven and the kids, who had slithered off him and gathered at my side.

(Orven) " I will go fish to get something fresh for them. "

(Reina) " Ok, have a good time big guy. "

Orven nodded and left the office. Now it was just me and the kids. Time to just relax and have a good time.
