--------///----Eclina's POV----\--------
The whale meat was different from what we usually had... The outside blubber was chewy to the point that i didn't even want to swallow it since it might not even digest properly. The real treat was after the blubber where the meat was cooked just the way i liked it. Though Espiral didn't like the same roast i did so he would occasionally grumble but it didn't stop him from eating his fill until he was satisfied. We ate a bit more then half the whale which filled us both. Espiral saved me the heart so i could devour it and the rest of the body, which i did.
I didn't have the time to check my Sylum so i didn't know if a foundation for ice was starting but it was fine. The whale filled us up so we didn't have a purpose to stay at the ocean so we started to get ready to head back to Reina and the others. I started to dissolve the platform i made and got on Espirals back so we could go back. Though i didn't notice the sailors that had been looking at us with their mouths wide open.
The flight back was fine and nothing really happened though i could tell he was feeling sleepy considering how much we both just ate. It'd be a surprise if we were both raring to go and had unlimited energy after just eating a whale. But this wasn't the time to sleep since we had to meet up with Reina and everyone else so we didn't lose them and have to find them on our own later. Thankfully, they were still where we left them and seemed about ready to go somewhere else so meeting back up now was perfect. They noticed us coming back and waved us over so Espiral flew over and hovered above them.
(Endis) " Where'd you guys go? "
(Eclina) " To get food. "
Everyone nodded at that and didn't think or atleast say much else and moved on to the topic that they had been talking about before we got here.
(Mina) " We're going to be making Reina give a speech so do you think you could help out? "
(Eclina) " You just need me to amplify right? Like what papa did with Reina dad? "
(Mina) " Yeah. If everything goes the way we planned then we should end up with somewhere for us all to stay while you two are here. It should even be enough for you two to be comfortable until you have to leave. "
I liked the sound of that. And amplifying didn't really turn out to be a difficult task so i wasn't doing something i couldn't do so i was fine with helping out.
(Espiral) " Sis doesn't have to do something like that. I'm more then enough so i'll do it. "
(Eclina) " I can do it though. "
(Espiral) " No. I'll do it. Sis can just get some rest. "
I didn't mind but for some reason it looked like Espiral did. And it didn't look like he would take no for an answer so i just let him handle it. I was still on his back as we all started to head to a relatively tall building near what i was assuming to be the plaza, as Reina started to head up the building with us being behind her. There was a commotion when we got there and for what we were doing, for obvious reasons. When we were at the top, Reina looked at Espiral and he nodded as she walked over to the edge and cleared her throat to get everyones attention.

(Reina) " *Ahem* Hello everyone- "
(Endis) " That's how you're going to start out? "
(Mina) " Shh! "
Even though they meant to whisper, with the amplification up, everyone heard them. I could see Reina flinch but she didn't do anything aside fro mthat.
(Reina) " As you may know, there was a wave of ants that surged towards the gates earlier in the day. Those ants were a result of a rift that had opened in the cove a ways away from here. We are happy to announce that the ants that had come from the rift are all dead and that they shall never be a problem again. This is said on the honor of the Moonlit Wolves.- "
(Eclina) " I like that name. "
(Espiral) " If sis likes it the i like it. "
(Reina) " *AHEM* However this wasn't an effort made by our party alone. As seen numerous people, if not everyone, there were massive earthen slabs that played the most important role in handling the wave of ants. The two beasts you see behind us are the ones who are not only responsible for stopping the first wave but also helping us cull the ants in the cove. Without their help there would've been casualties without a doubt. "
The crowd seemed to be affected by that as i could see them have a shift in how they viewed me and Espiral. Though i wasn't all that worried about what people who i would probably never meet again, thought of me. Espiral though, i would still have to keep an eye out to make sure. Other then that, the crowd seemed to be acting how they expected since i could see some smiles. Though some of that changed as there was a fat somewhat middle aged man, making his way through the crowd with a few guards by his side. I could see the faces of some of those guards under their helmets, and they looked like they didn't even want to be here.
(The fat man) " Don't be fooled! Those beasts are far worse then any ant! Those giant slabs alone could be used to murder you all, yet they want us to let those monsters be here, infront of us all?! "
Despite what he was saying, the crowd didn't seem to care. I could see a few looks of contempt aimed at the fat man from the people in the crowd. Though hearing him was somewhat annoying... But it started to remind me of something papa called "slander".
(Mina) " So it's "you all" when it comes to people being killed but "us" when it's convenient for you? Interesting. "
That however, got a reaction from the crowd and the people around the fat man. The looks of contempt for the fat man grew, not only from the crowd but his guards aswell. Though the fat man didn't seem to care.
(The fat man) " That is besides the point. As the highest ranking official here, i am ordering those monsters and the ones who let them in be expelled! "
(Reina) " The highest ranking official, huh? The same high ranking official that didn't want the citizens to know that there was a rift creature coming towards the gates the first time and leave the unknown threat to the guards? That high ranking official? "
At first, there was a silence as the people below were comprehending what was just said. Then there were people who turned to the fat man and saw him grinding his teeth. And then, the whole crowd and the fat mans guards all turned to and on him. Their gazes just oozing contempt for the fat man. In situations like these, i thought there would need to be evidence or something like that. Though it looked like the people just took his reaction and change in demeanor as all the evidence they needed.

The fat man started to panic and tried to get his guards to act, but none of them listened. Then, when one of the guards was about to hit him, he was hit by a small strand of lightning that no one seemed to notice. Aside from me, since i was on Espiral's back as he did it. To everyone else, it must've looked like he made a mistake while trying to run that resulted in him falling. I don't think the others noticed, and if they did they didn't show it. Reina turned around after watching the crowd for a bit and motioned for Espiral to stop amplifying.
(Reina) " Now that that's done, we can head over to his mansion and relax. "
(Mina) " Things went a little too smooth but hey, not complaining. "
(Orven) " It is the fact that throwing out the mayor of a city went "too smoothly" in your eyes, is frightening in itself. "
(Endiis) " Don't look the gift horse in its mouth. "
(Eclina) " Gift horse? "
(Reina) " It's a form of expression. Basically, don't look into a gift too much. "
Keeping that in the back of my mind, i just nodded as we started to move. Espiral followed behind the others as they started heading somewhere, though we didn't know where. Though, Mina had split off and stayed at the crowd to do something. Espiral didn't say or ask anything, but i could tell he was a little tired so he would probably take a nap as soon as we got to wherever we were going to go. The trip didn't take long, twenty minutes at most.
We stopped in front of a gated mansion with two guards in front, which seemed surprised at Reina and the others and then a little worried about me and Espiral. But with some talking done by Reina, their fears seemed to be lessened, or they just managed to not show it on their faces. They opened the gates and led us in, though me and Espiral kept looking around since the path leading to the mansion had alot of space that we could relax on. There was even a fountain where me and Espiral started to drink from. Then i made it inside, since Espiral was too big to get in, where we saw some people in what i was told were maid uniforms, who had looks that showed they were worried, though from their mutterings, they were worried about a completly different thing.
(Random maid) " Feathers are fine, however if the fox sheds, would we be able to use normal tools to clean? Or would we need something else? "
(Other maid) " Are those claws sharp enough to damage the floor? Should we be prepared to have a earth mage on standby? "
There were others talking about those topics and some others that had the normal worries about me and Espiral instead of my fur and our claws. Though, i was wondering if we had to be inside in the first place. There was more then enough space out front for us so there wasn't any reason for us to actually be inside the mansion. Espiral was staying outside near the fountain, looking very relaxed as he curled up and started to sleep. No one seemed interested in bothering him and they kept their distance. For now, we kept walking and eventually we made it to some sort of balcony that overlooked space behind the mansion which had a garden of some sort.
It wasn't a traditional garden since there was a strange scent from the one kind of flower that made up the whole garden... I felt like i knew what kind of flower it was but it would probably take a bit to figure it out. Good thing i didn't have too since the others seemed to know what it was.
(Ava) " Aren't those lusteria blossoms? "
So that's what they were. I knew the violet, bordering pink, petals reminded me of something. From my knowledge, Lusteria blossoms should be a natural aphrodisiac. The petals were edible and held a very small amount of numbing agent that was hidden underneath the aphrodisiac. The garden wasn't that big but there were atleast four different patches of lusteria blossoms under four different big trees. The trees were normal ones and if it weren't for those blossoms, the garden would look normal.
(Endis) " Yup... Welp, looks like we've got something to do before we can relax. "
(Butler) " E-excuse me, honored guests, if you did this the lord would would- "
(Reina) " I doubt he'll be coming back with Mina handling the situation. "
The butlers brows scrunched up but i could tell it wasn't out of concern for the fat man.
(Butler) " Then who will be in charge of the estate? "
(Endis) " Dunno. Cous will figure that out. Just know you guys won't have to deal with him anymore. "
That seemed to reassure the butler since he just nodded. Though, i could see he was thinking about stuff. With the butler reassured, the others looked over at the garden and talked for a bit before deciding what to do. They eventually decided to let Ava take care of it since she could sever the stems with air blades. I could do that too, though they stopped me from doing anything. But they had to have someone pull out the roots after the stems were cut off so they could deal with them. If it weren't for the blossoms ability to expel spores if they were uprooted or moved, then they could've had Orven use earth to move them. Even if it would damage the garden.
(Reina) " We should probably figure out what these were here for. Since we all know, a bachelor like him wasn't using this for family matters. "
(Endis) " Hey butler, got any ideas? "
(Butler) " I'm sorry esteemed guests, none of the staff were ever involved in the management of the estates affairs. Those that would know are close associates of the lord. "
(Endis) " Great... Nothing useful... Hahhh. "
(Reina) " We'll figure it out, we've got time. "
Then they went on about more stuff but i lost interest in it all and just wandered off while no one was paying attention to me. I ended up walking around the hallway, which got annoying since my tails would sometimes hit a wall or some statue so i had to keep my tails from randomly swaying around. There were some people that were curious about me so they would just watch me as i walked by, though that was all they would do. I didn't know where i was going to go but i just walked, and eventually ended up where Espiral was taking his nap. There was a small gap in Espiral's wings, so i nudged my way in and curled up as i went to sleep.
As i slept, i wandered into my Sylum and saw a small wisp of ice floating next to the massive ball of nature. I walked over to it and nodded at the start of my ice foundation. Though before i was about to head out and get some rest, i heard it. I heard the call that would normally mean Alatrea was calling me. But it wasn't just her, it was everyone. For some reason, all three of the progenitors were calling me for a meeting.

Guys, a few notes, first of all, this is my first time writing long-form fiction. I have a background in psychology, and my main income comes from writing dreary financial articles on SEO blogs. But after a bad break-up, and finding myself falling asleep only while thinking of deus ex machina for stories on this site (and for APGTE) I decided to try my hand at this web series thingy. I'm confident in my grammar, but that's it. Everything else will be a first time, and as such any constructive criticism is encouraged and gratefully accepted. Now, on the story. Romance will be introduced once my little heart is mended, if you are scared of LGBT you may be turned off by the fact that I plan to have no taboo of any kind in my universe, but I won't ever write detailed sex scenes for any characters so don't worry too much. The litRPG part is very light and will take place later in the novel, but it's a key component nonetheless, for world-building and storyline reasons. I already have everything big planned out, so I won't drop it outta nowhere, and I hope you won't find too many flaws in how things pan out. I plan to make The Pugilist an interactive story, with secondary characters created by my audience and introduced after tweaks and careful planning. The main reason I'm writing this is that I want to build a community for myself in this time of isolation. I discovered that exercising, playing the piano or video games means jack-shit when you are utterly miserable, so I hope to give some value to my readers in exchange for praise, fame, money, and companionship. I give full props to anyone who has read this whole mess of a synopsis: I hope to not disappoint too much, now let's write some more steaming garbage that will be in dire need of editing later on.
