《Reincarnated Legendary Contract Killer》Squashing Bugs

On the streets outside of Flower Garden, a group of people were hiding in the crowds watching the door of Flower Garden. After waiting for about thirty minutes, the person who they were looking for came out. They were all wearing casual clothing so they could blend in with the crowd and not get get spotted by anyone.
"There he is," Someone pointed out to a boy who was wearing rich clothing alongside a group of bodyguards and a girl.
Those people were assassins from the three great houses. They were assigned to kill Reed before he grew up into a major threat. The mission itself was simple, they just had to kill Reed without getting caught. Sadly they were already noticed by Reed.
The leader of the group was Kyle Fisher. He was a Gold 5 while his four other subordinates were either silver 3,2, and 1.
"Come on, lets go follow them," Kyle commanded. They stayed behind a decent distance where they wouldn't get caught while at the same time they would still be able to keep an eye on the target.
"Seems like there really are assassins following me" Reed thought to himself as he walked down the crowded streets. Reed knew from the start that they were assassins since he was able to notice their killing intent, albeit small, it was enough for him to notice.
He didn't feel much of a threat coming from the assassins so Reed was rather calm. He already assumed that he was a the target of an assassination plot but now he was sure of it seeing that he was followed. There was no point in panicking about a few bugs. All Reed had to do is squash the bugs as efficient as possible.
"Let's go a detour" Reed announced to his bodyguards. No one said anything and just followed. After a few minuted of walking, a alley way between two buildings could be seen in the distance. Reed saw this alley while he was exploring the city. It was only an alley so he didn't think much of it, but due to the appearance of the assassins. Reed thought of this alley he passed ways back and is now using it to trap the enemy.
Reed then called upon the captain of his bodyguard, Mark who is a gold 5 and told him about the followers and what he planned to do in the alley way. Knowing that this had to do with the safety of the young master, Mark didn't question a single thing and since he couldn't think of any sort of plan and since Reed's plan was solid.

Mark nodded and started whispering to the other bodyguards about Reed's plan. They all nodded in understanding and awaited for everything to commence.
"Where are they going?" one of the assassins questioned seeing that Reed's group was going into the alley way.
"They're going through an alley way, it's possible that they are using the alley way as their shortcut. Sadly it won't be the sort of shortcut they were hoping for. Let's go" Kyle said as he waved his hand to his subordinates and followed right behind Reed's group.
When they entered the alley way, the expected to see the backs of Reed's group. But what they saw was an empty alley way.
"Where did they go?" Kyle thought to himself. They couldn't have disappeared right? As the assassins were standing confused and looking around for traces of Reed's groups a few shadows got behind them.
Noticing the presence appear from behind them the assassins turned immediately and couldn't believe their eyes on what laid before them. The shadows that appeared before them were exactly Reed's group.
In the alley way there was another alley connecting it. It was hidden fairly well so Reed,Aily and bodyguards used it to disappear and get behind the assassins to ambush them.
"How did you get behind us?" Kyle said with a frown. He now knew that they were noticed long ago since if weren't noticed they would've kept on walking on the streets and not into an alley way. Kyle can only blame his arrogance thinking that he was never noticed.
"There's no point in telling a dead person. Kill them" Reed commanded his bodyguards. Even though the assassins outnumbered the bodyguards by one, they were at an disadvantage due to the ambush. Before they could even react, Reed's bodyguards had already taken their sidearm out and shot at them. Even though they were all silver or gold grade, it doesn't mean they have the ability to dodge bullets
These guys were trained professional who has experienced war. They all had experience in killing so none of them hesitated to shoot. The first shot of each bodyguard killed one person each. Each bullet pierced an assassins head killing them instantly. They all then turned to Kyle. As they were about to shoot Kyle who was the leader, Reed told them to stop.

"You know the drill don't you? Surrender and live or don't surrender and die." Reed said to the Kyle who was now standing next to four dead bodies lying on the ground. On a normal day, if Kyle was threatened by a child, he would've killed him on the spot.
But he couldn't do so in this situation as 4 men with guns were all aiming right at him. Kyle wanted to run, but he knew that the moment he took a step he would instantly get shot by the bodyguards and die.
"Kill me." Kyle replied in a stern voice. Kyle wasn't scared of death since he already knew that there was always a chance of dying in missions like the one he's partaking. Even though it was slim, it was still a chance.
Hearing Kyle's reply, Reed couldn't help but scoff and said "Sadly I won't be killing you since I need more information about those who want to kill me." Finishing his sentence Reed then took a gun from the guard to his left's hand and aimed at Kyle's left knee cap and shot. The bullet from the gun Reed shot didn't miss and pierced through Kyle's kneecaps.
"Ahh!" Kyle screamed in pain and knelled on the floor. Reed shooting Kyle's left knee cap
disabled him from running. Now Kyle had no chance of escaping even if he tried to. The bodyguard Reed took the gun from was surprised in how fast Reed took the gun away from but said nothing about as Reed gave his gun back.
"Capture him, and take him back to the house and interrogate him." Reed commanded Mark. Mark nodded and took out his phone to make some calls. Reed knew that the gunshots would make a commotion and police should be on their way
Two figures then came out of the hidden alley way. It was Aily and one of Reed's bodyguards assigned to protect her. Aily was shivering and scared ever since she heard the gunshots that came from Reed's bodyguards gun and himself.
Reed came up to her and hugged her so that he could calm her down. He started to stroke her head and said "It's ok, It's ok." After repeating it's ok for awhile, Aily finally calmed down and stopped shivering.
"Are you ok?" Reed took a step back to take a look at Aily's face and said. Aily said nothing but instead nodded. Reed could see that even though Aily calmed down, she was still in shock deep down and needed to be distracted. She was six years old, even though she didn't personally see the bloody scene she still knew what happened. Knowing that people died near her, she was scared.
Reed hugged her again and said "I'll always protect you ok. When your with me, you don't have to worry about anything else ." Aily didn't say anything and just embraced Reed back. Later a group of cars from the Aniston came by and picked up Reed and Aily in one car while Kyle was taken to another car.
Someone from the Aniston Family will deal with the police so Reed didn't have anything to worry about. Plus he knew that the police wouldn't give the Anistons a hard time either way. Since the Aniston's is one of the powerful and influential families in Nova City.
After awhile of waiting in the car, Reed finally made it home. The driver of the vehicle opened up the door for Reed. Reed came out of the car first then Aily came out with Reeds help. Aily needed his help since she closed her eyes ever since Reed told her that he'll be showing her a surprise.
Being a naive six year old, Aily listened and did as she was told.
"You can open your eye now" Reed said to Aily. Aily then opened her eyes and couldn't help but be shocked at what was in front of her. She saw a huge white estate before her with a running fountain in front of the entrance not far away. The large land of grass and beautiful flowers covered almost everywhere she could see around the estate.

Across the Realms [Dropped]
Disclaimer: I'll leave this on here for anyone to read. The last time I uploaded a chapter was nearly a year ago, and to all the readers who still kept their trust in me after I came back from my umpteenth hiatus, I am sorry. I will not carry on writing this; I started off without the correct foundations of a novel, nor commitment to fully finish it and I do not want to lie to you all once again. Maybe one day, I may decide to re-write the novel, with a new basis or at least a comprehensive starting point with many of the narrative errors cleared up; but, till then, this is goodbye. And, once again, thank you for the motivation you gave me. Even now, I see many emails come through with people commenting. Goodbye. A child blessed by the Astral. An unprecedented destiny. Watch his path, as he marches up the stairway of Heaven. A March of a Sovereign. [Adventure, Wuxia, Martial Arts, Fantasy] This is a Qihuan novel; it has eastern and western fantasy elements. More often than not in Xianxia or Xuanhuan there is a severe lack of character development, being a western writer I'm changing that. My characters, from my totally unbiased view, feel fleshed out and actually have emotions. This is my first attempt at a novel, I'm writing as a means to better convey my thoughts. I will, hopefully, steadily improve chapter-by-chapter. I'm very open to feedback and constructive criticism. As one can see this is a cultivation novel, so you know how this goes. I've decided to jump-start the whole rags-to-riches scenario. He is strong from the start and is given the utility to do so. *The cover art is not my own, all rights reserved to the owner. I will take it down if necessary. *The style of the recent chapters is comparatively different than Chapter 1.
