《Reincarnated Legendary Contract Killer》Aily Fields

2 years have passed now and Reed Aniston was now 7 years old. During the past 2 years, Reed hasn't been doing nothing. He has been cultivating everyday since he started and now after to years he has finally reached to the peak of Bronze 1. It has been talking Aniston longer and longer to breakthrough but since he was using a superior level cultivation manual he has been getting stronger at a faster pace than the normal person.
The youngest person besides Reed to reach the peak of Bronze one was 11 years old and he was considered a genius. But if he's a genius then what would that make Reed then? If people were to know that a 7 year old reached the peak of bronze, they would think that Reed was a child of god.
On the streets of Nova City, Reed was walking around to get look of what the outside looked like. As he was stuck in his house for the past 7 years cultivating and learning from a teacher hired by his family. Reed was getting bored of it and wanted to have a change to scenery. After begging his family for days non-stop, they finally broke down and agreed but only if he had some people protecting him.
The bodyguards assigned by the family were all groomed by the house ever since they were kids. They were loyal to the death to the Aniston Family and would always follow their orders. With those bodyguards protecting Reed, his family didn't have to worry about him.
So right now Reed was walking the busy streets looking around and absorbing everything he saw into his brain. As time passed walking through the city, Reed was bound to get hungry. Reed then turned back to one of his bodyguards and asked.
" Where's the nearest place eat? I'm rather hungry right now"
The bodyguard respectfully replied. "Young master, if we keep on walking down this road there'll be a restaurant that you can eat at."
"Ok then, let keep walking and stop by there," Reed nodded and then kept on walking. As they walked down the streets towards the restaurant Reed saw a of homeless girl, she stood holding a cardboard in her hands with the words "Please help me" trying to get people attention. Sadly no one helped her even though she been standing for more than a few chapters. Even though Nova City was prosperous it didn't mean that everyone was living a happy life in a warm home. It was a pity life didn't work that way.
As someone who grew up as an orphan and went through hell and lived, Reed couldn't help but pity the girl. The girl was wore uncleaned clothing that looked like it hasn't been washed for days, and looked really malnourished. He stopped before the girl, gaining her attention and asked

"Why is a kid such as yourself outside all alone? Where is your mom and dad"
Hearing the question asked by Reed, the girl couldn't help but tear up and cried while she replied
"My parents don't love me anymore, they kicked me out of the house and said that I should fend for myself. I begged for for a long time, pounding on their door crying and they still never let me back in."
Hearing the girls story, Reed couldn't help but pity the girl more than he already did. He was abandoned in his past life as well, but he didn't have any memories of them so he never felt saddened by it. But this girl grew up with her family only to be tossed aside to the outside world telling her to fend for herself. This will definitely leave a mental scar if she doesn't recover from it soon.
Even the guards couldn't help but pity the girl. They couldn't help but think what would happen to them if their parents did the same thing the girl's parents did to her. Would they still be alive today? They couldn't help but cherish their parent even more.
Reed took her hand and pulled her in to embrace her. Ignoring her smell, Reed starts caressing her head and talks to her in a soothing tone.
"Stop crying, don't worry, you won't be alone anymore. Follow me and I'll take care of you. I promise that you'll live a happy life if you do."
After a minute or two of crying the girl finally stopped crying and stepped away from Reed to look into his eyes.
"Do you promise that? If you do then pinky promise" The little girl lifted her left pinky finger for Reed.
Reed couldn't but smile at such a childish act but said nothing about it. He then took his right pinkie finger and intertwined with hers.
"I pinky promise" The girl then hugged Reed and started crying again. She has been suffering for a week of no warmth and as a child no less. To her it felt like years, she barely survived the code and had nothing to eat except for the scraps she would fine now and then.
Now that she had someone to lean on and take care of her, all of the pain and tears she has been holding now busted out like a damn. Reed answered back and hugged her back and waited until she stopped crying.
The guards watching this couldn't help but feel warmth in their heart and respect their young master even more. They thought that he would grow up into a typical haughty and selfish young master that are born in the great families. Knowing that they were wrong, they couldn't but feel proud to be working for the heir of the Aniston Family.

After another ten minutes of crying the girl finally stopped. This time Reed stepped away and look at the girl and asked her. "What's your name and how old are you"
"My name is Aily Fields, I'm six years old but in a month I turn seven years old." Aily replied back with her eyes still read due to all the crying.
"Well Aily, my name is Reed. And I'm pretty sure that your hungry and I am as well, so lets go eat" Reed then took her hand and started walking to the restaurant without waiting for her reply.
The restaurant they went to was called Flower Garden. Upon entering the restaurant they were welcomed by a waitress. One of the bodyguards took charge and asked for a private room. The Flower Garden was a place of the rich and so when the waitress saw Reed wearing expensive clothing and protected by bodyguards she knew he was a important person.
But when she saw Aily in poor clothing and looked dirty she couldn't help but look at Reed who was holding her hand. But being an experienced waitress she ignored it and did what she was tasked to do and led Reed's group to a private room.
As Reed was following the waitress to the private room he felt some people staring at him. He sensed killing intent from those people and couldn't help but smirk a little as he thought to himself
"I didn't think that I was going to kill people so early and at such a young age as well. It seems that the other great families feel threatened and want to kill me before I grow up."
"What are you smiling about" Aily asked, seeing that Reed smirked out of nowhere and for no reason.
"Oh, it's because I was thinking of the good food we're about to eat. And as a celebration for joining me, you get to eat as much as you want."
Aily shook her head left and right "No I can't do that to you Reed. What if you get into trouble"
"If I don't see you eat until your sick of food today I will not allow you to follow me anymore." Reed threatened Aily.
"No I'll eat"
"Good" Reed rubbed Aily head and smiled. Even though Aily was threatened by Reed, he did it so for her and she understood it. She felt warm in her heart and smiled.
Once the entered the private room, Aily and Reed sat down on the chairs around the table while the bodyguards stood beside the door in case some intruder came in to attack Reed. Seeing the bodyguards not sitting down as well, he asked them to sit but they refused. He asked a few more time and they still refused.
It was till the point where he threatened the bodyguards that he would tell his father that they did a terrible and should be fired was when they finally submitted and sat down with them. In reality the guards were pretty hungry like Reed but their job as bodyguards prevented them from joining them. Plus the the difference in status stopped them as well.
Reed knew this as well, that was why he threatened them. Plus Reed knew that there was no one that would want to intrude into the room except for the waiter or waitress when they deliver food. That was why he invited them to sit down with him. Even if someone did want to intrude they would have to be insane.
All of his bodyguards were Silver rank with one being the captain of all the bodyguards being a Gold Rank. The intruder would be immediately subdued. After getting the food they ordered, everyone ate happily as they conversed among each other. They all ate at a normal pace except for Aily who was eating like a demon, finishing a bowl of food in seconds then refilling it again to the brim for her to devour.
Reed couldn't help but feel scared of her choking to death so he told her to slow down and gave her water to digest. Seeing that Aily listened to him and was now drinking water to digest Reed thought " I know I told you to eat till your sick of food, but I never told you eat so fast to point you that you would choke."
Even thought he thought what he thought, Reed knew that the real reason Aily was eating so much and fast wasn't because of his threat. It was because she hasn't had anything to good to eat in a long time.
After ensuring that Aily was eating at a slower pace Reed resumed back to eating the food on his own plate. After 30 minutes of eating, Reed finally finished. He then cleaned up his face with a napkin and looked at the door across from him with killing intent emanating from inside him.

Know that a forgotten heritage of a dwindling people whispered, unknowingly sending a call to the ancient mysteries of the world. Something listened. And now events are set in motion that could force the earth on a course of terrible change. I am being hunted and have run out of time. There were no stories about it. No legends. Not even scribbles. Yet, the threat of it is real and that’s why I’m writing this warning with shaking hands. So pay attention those who read this, be careful of what lies waiting cloaked in the darkness. That which made their home the lost places of this world.” She folded the letter with a shuddering breath and stared back in the direction from where the noise reverberated through the halls. It was of stone doors shattering one by one. The chances of getting out safely were all but gone. The letter in her hand was all warning they would have. It dropped into one of the Wells and all that could be done now was hope it was found in time, if at all. -- This was my very first large story. ;) I started writing it years ago. Was fun, was difficult, but in the end, it is a story I hope that will inspire. The prologue is in first person perspective and the rest of the story in 3d. Just a little heads-up :P It is a fantasy epic with a contemporary twist for the start. The first arc of the novel is set inside our modern world, but as the mysterious events around Calin intensifies, the hidden secrets in the world start to become more fantastical. The story follows Calin, a young orphan in search of answers. But, the answers he seeks will change his life and that of his friends forever, for the secrets that caused his situation have far greater ramifications than the small village of Lamb's Crest could have known. Remember to leave ratings and reviews. I'm quite interested in hearing your thoughts on the story. ;) Enjoy reading, Omri Hope
