《Netherwyrm Stargod》Chapter 05 : - The Faithless - -02-

Inside the Frazier clan’s mansion, in a room hidden from prying eyes, two men were discussing and drinking without a care in the world.
One of the two, Garfield Frazier, said, “That brat must be a corpse by now. I would give anything to see Donald’s stoic face change color from anger. He pampered that half-breed so much that it dared to have eyes for my daughter. Hehe, serve it right.”
Garfield Frazier was the leader of the mercenary group sponsored by the Frazier family. He was an Archmage by right and he was of the fearsome fire element to boot. He learned the most destructive spells and he was also a good aura wielder carrying the faith of the Battle God, Athos, who was of the fire element as well. His aura pushed him to barely reach the Paladin of god level which was the equivalent of the archmage level in the magic system.
All in all, he was a force to be reckoned with.
The other one in the room was Germaine Frazier, the treasurer of the clan. If you need money, for anything, even for your allowance, you have to go through him. He was an archmage as well but had never followed a god as he wasn’t one of the pious ones. He stuck to the mage system as he knew that both power systems led to the same destination. The last possible level which was that of a God was the same for both.
Both power systems used an element as a base but the execution differed. Mages chanted or used other mediums to cast their element but Aura wielders who gained their power from faith power bathed in the element and released it from the body itself instead of conjuring it from the mana in the air.
These two were both super important for the clan and most of their carefully planned plots had come to fruition just because no one dared to antagonize them.
But right now, Donald who was sitting in his room on the second floor above his store suddenly opened his eyes.

“So it was you two. It seems I was right to focus on the clan’s mansion.” He slowly stood up and opened the huge window, stepped outside, and then closed it before disappearing like a mirage.
With his mysterious power, he could listen to the entire city and even choose who to focus on something specific while listening to the rest.
He was above the Frazier mansion in no time.
He hovered above and then shouted, “Garfield, Germaine, Come out right now.”
As if electrocuted by the most vicious lightning, Garfield and Germaine were startled and immediately became sober.
"How did he find out? Did you tie up your loose ends?" Germaine had cold sweat pouring out of him.
This was a bad situation.
Donald was mysterious. He wasn't a mage nor did he follow any God, but he controlled some mysterious power that could cut through anything.
Back then, Germaine and Garfield had paid a great price to have Donald sent deep in the scarlet Mountain range by some death sworn.
They wanted to gain better benefits in the family without Donald in the picture like many of their other siblings who mysteriously disappeared.
When Donald came back, he had massacred the mercenary group that had captured him and it was known to have several Archmages and Paladins of God and no matter how they hid, he found them all and gave them an atrocious death.
As gruesome as their deaths were, Donald never felt satisfied, but deep down he also thanked them because indirectly they allowed him to meet the love of his life, Diana Wolfblood.
Donald wasn’t stupid, he knew that his brothers were the culprits, but he couldn’t touch them without evidence.
There was also his father, who was an Eldritch level mage capable of summoning lethal Ice magic.
Then his grandfather was both a Saint in the Faith power system and a Grand Wizard in the magic system.
Grand Wizard came after Eldritch. It went as follows: Novice, Journeyman, Grand Magus, Archmage, Eldritch, Grand Wizard, Enchanter…

For the faith power system, Saint came after Paladin of God. It went as follows: Pilgrim, Martyr, Faith-caller, Paladin of God, Saint, Apostle of God, Angel…
Right now, Donald’s strength bordered the Saint and Eldritch level. He was just a hair away from reaching it, but it could also be considered that he was that strong because of the lethality of his bloodline.
Yes, Donald renounced any other power system and chose to cultivate the one his late wife had risked her life to teach him in remembrance of her.
His Power system was the Bloodline System that The Forgotten Tribes south of the Scarlet Mountain range had the secret of.
They Killed powerful beasts and stole their bloodlines to cultivate their bodies and souls. The end result was to be able to achieve ancestral awakening and unlock the Bloodline of the beasts’ Ancestors who were much stronger.
Only those whose compatibility with a bloodline was off the charts, could achieve Ancestral Awakening and multiple times at that. It meant unlocking the ancestor of the ancestor whose bloodline was even purer.
“This time I do not care to find evidence of your actions. How much blood of the family have you spilled in your pitiful schemes?” Donald said, he declared, “It’s enough. Enough is enough. Today you can die peacefully. I do not want to have to look over my shoulder for the rest of my life. I should’ve done this a long time ago.”
Donald made a move like he was slashing downward, but there was nothing in his hand..just that he seemed to be holding something…invisible.
Mere milliseconds later, an explosion that rattled the entire city rang out.
The building where Germaine and Garfield were was turned to rubble.
The two culprits floated in the air in a sorry state.
“Donald, have you gone mad? What is the meaning of this? Do you think father and Grandfather will let you go if you harm us?” Garfield’s body was now burning in an intense blue fire.
“I dare you to attack again. Father and Grandfather must be heading here now. Are you happy now?” Germaine said, not hiding the mocking smile on his face.
Donald then just laughed until his two brothers were looking at themselves thinking that their dark star had finally lost it and went mad.
Donald suddenly stopped laughing and said in the deepest voice he could muster sending shivers into the two brothers, “Tonight, I’m killing two unworthy brothers…and no one will stop me.”
Moments later…
Germaine and Garfield were lying in pools of their own blood in a sorry state.
They had lost most of their limbs and their Archmage bodies were working on overdrive to try and heal them.
Given time, they could indeed heal and walk away unscathed, but would Donald give them such a chance?
“Don…Donald…We’re yo…your bro..brothers. What did …we.d..do to ..de…deserve this?” Germaine was still sure that Donald only suspected them of the death of his only son and had no concrete evidence...yet.
Donald just said, "Reflect on your actions in the underworld."
Donald raised his arm…
“STAY YOUR HAND!” A deep voice reverberated in the area.
Donald heard the voice, but didn’t hesitate and sent two slashes with his invisible sword.
The two brothers' heads were severed from their bodies as their eyes lost their luster forever.
Donald then looked at the direction the voice had come from.
“I paved the way for you my son…with no one causing you troubles, you can have a tranquil life. A pity that I won’t be a part of it…”
It seemed that the air itself was frozen as he watched that shadow approaching, leaving the area around it frozen in time by an ice so cold it burned like the most vicious fire…
