{DRAGON SYSTEM ACQUIRED…LOGGING IN…}

{6%...39%...87%...100%...}

By now, Baby Dion had left the mind lounge and was sitting near the voracious purple dragon who had now finished half of the egg.

Dion delved deeper into the various functions that his new Dragon System had.

He saw that he could ‘brew’ the bloodlines of dragons with enough blood from beasts apart from buying them with the Dragon System's shop.

As it turned out, every beast in the universe had a dragon as their ancestor. The reason the beasts were so weak was that the bloodline thinned with each generation resulting in mutation that looked nothing like the majestic dragons.

…but if someone could harness enough blood, even from the lowest tiered beast, he could brew a dragon bloodline by refining that blood.

That’s what the function ‘Bloodline Brewery’ did.

Apart from that, there were the Dragonic Spells from the Dragon language that he could buy or acquire from the system.

He could either use his inherited memories to try and Learn them, reaching an acceptable level for the system to unlock it so he could pay System Point to level the spell up or just Buy the spells immediately and then further pay to level them up.

The system also told him that more functions still had to be unlocked as he accumulated experience.

[Host’s Welcome Package Acquired. Do you want to open it?]

“Yes.”

{-Light-nether Dragonic Fire ….acquired. Equip?}

“I have some recollection of it in my inherited memories…but it’s vague…but it’s one of the most sought-after fire Dragons would kill for.”

“Yes. Equip.”

He felt a stinging sensation in his chest and felt that he could draw on two breaths. One for breathing air and the other for breathing fire.

He inhaled, puffing up his chest, and then exhaled as a white immaculate fire came out of his mouth and went to land on a tree.

The tree wasn’t burned as he imagined.

Instead, the tree seemed to be filled with more vitality as more branches and fruits grew and the tree grew three times taller.

“You’ve got to be kidding me. How am I supposed to protect myself with this lousy fire?”

Seeing him breathe fire, his older brother Dragon found it interesting as it breathed out a purple fire that incinerated a tree at the speed of light leaving the area empty as if the tree had never existed.

Dion felt cold sweat pouring out of him in an instant. He looked at his older brother and felt amazed and at the same time regretful, thinking that had he been the only one born that purple fire would’ve been his.

{-Alchemy Ring (Artifact)…acquired. Equip?}

“Oh. The welcome package is not over? ..and an alchemy ring to boot. Hehehahaha.” Dion laughed like a madman.

He was thinking that instead of trying to learn alchemy by using his inherited memories, this Alchemy ring was a godsent.

An Alchemy Ring was the treasure of the Green Dragons who were the closest to nature. They either wore it as a collar or as a ring in their humanoid forms. It could be used to refine plants into elixirs and pills fit for consumption. Those products could be used to heal, advance in cultivation or support in any given situation. The uses depended on what kind of pill you had.

The Alchemy ring came with a world of its own and in the middle of that world was a sentient cauldron that knew every kind of recipe. That cauldron could choose any ripe ingredient from the world, follow a recipe and create pills at the behest of its owner.

As for the owner of the ring, all he had to do was provide seeds, sapling or grown plants to the cauldron and it would take care of planting them and looking after them.

Rich green dragons could have close to every plant known in the world in great quantities and lacked nothing…and most of their sentient cauldrons contained their life’s understanding of alchemy as well as all the recipes that they had comprehended themselves whether new or a variation of the inherited recipes in their inheritance.

“Let’s see what’s inside.”He wore the ring on his middle finger and it adjusted itself to fit him. But before he could look inside, he heard:

{-Teleportation (Technique) / Grade : Elementary…acquired. Learn?}

“Gods! Yes, learn.” He already knew how to teleport with his inherited memories but before he tried and found himself inside bubbling magma by accident, having an elementary mastery could help.

There were five stages of mastery. Elementary, Focused, Mastery, Super Mastery, and Legendary.

New information that crossed the tees and dotted the i’s in his comprehension appeared in his head and he could now teleport like he was a veteran in it.

{-Dawn Dagger (Artifact)…Tier 1…acquired. Equip?}

A dagger that released a searing heat even still in its sheath appeared and he took it and unsheathed it.

In his last life, he had been lucky enough to own a tier 1 sword. It made him happy as most weapons on the continent he was in were Unranked and the strongest barely reaching tier 1. If he hadn’t bought one from his System back then which almost made him sick from the points he lost, he would’ve never owned one.

{-Shadow Cloak (Artifact)…Tier 3..acquired. Equip?}

“Tier 3? This dragon system is more generous than that lousy Multiverse merchant system. How lucky can one really be?”

“Equip.”

An adult man’s sized cloak appeared in front of him and then started becoming smaller until it could fit him.

As he learned the abilities of the cloak he was astounded.

He could become a Shadow Wraith temporarily and go through walls and any other solid objects. He could also teleport between different shadows as long as he knew where he was going just like his normal teleportation.

And also just like his normal teleportation, he could also bring people with him as he used the shadow cloak.

But he wasn’t as excited about his cloak as he was for his dagger.

Earlier, he was complaining about not having any offensive powers, but now this dagger that could spew fire could help him.

He could turn anyone he stabbed into ashes or control fire as easily as breathing as long as the dagger was in his grasp.

“Ah…it feels good to be alive. Let’s see what my previous system left in my system bank. A thousand years' worth of Check-ins, I wonder how much it is.”

“System, show me what I have in my bank.”

{System Points : 3, 500,885,000}

“Gods…this!” Dion was out of breath from shock.

Then he, once again, laughed like a madman making his older brother worry. It seemed that this little brother of his was a quirky one alright. The purple dragon could tell that much despite its young age and lack of experience…but it had also received the inheritance of the dragon race…so it understood more than it should.

Then Dion then decided to buy himself clothes for babies…it was long overdue.

It was then that he realized that he had ignored his older brother and turned behind him to see that half of the egg had been pushed beside him. He immediately knew what it was for. His older brother wanted him to eat the rest.

He felt touched as he understood how much his older brother had restrained himself despite his hunger. He wasn’t a dragon, he didn’t even have the strength to break out of the egg let alone eat the eggshells. His teeth were powerful compared to a human, but he wouldn’t be able to chew on the brick-like eggshell.

He beckoned with his hand and a peach on a tree not far from him fell into his little hand. It seemed he could do some simple telekinesis. He was surprised because he did it naturally without thinking as if he had expected it would work.

He then started eating it to show the dragon that it could continue its meal.

The eggshell could help the dragon kickstart its growth phase as it had absorbed the power of their mother as well as theirs, and from the inherited memories, the longer it took to hatch the more nutritious it was.

As much as he was jealous of his older brother gaining even more power, he understood that the eggshell would be wasted on him. Why not nurture a powerful protector for himself as he roamed the world?

As he ate the peach, he started feeling weird.

While the taste was as he remembered, when it reached his stomach he felt like it disappeared somewhere as if he hadn’t eaten a thing.

He finished one and then another…then another…then another…

When he was at his tenth peach, he was starting to feel fear.

His stomach showed no sign of bloating despite his small size.

He felt that he had somehow become a little stronger, but he had no idea how to measure or quantify his strength.

“What the heck are these peaches?”

He knew something though: since his birth, he had yet to feel hungry… but knowing that he had a bottomless stomach didn’t help.

What would he do when he actually felt hungry?

“Perhaps the system knows…System what the heck is going on?”

{Your bloodline has a trace of the ‘Gluttonous Dragon’ Tribe. You can eat anything and as long as it reaches your stomach, it will be converted into power. Recommending eating things with energy inside.}

“Does he have it too?” he said as he pointed at the purple dragon.

{No. He is a pure ‘Purple Netherworld Dragon’.}

Again, Dion felt an ache in his heart. He knew from his memories that the Netherworld dragons were known for their lethality in combat. In wars, they were the first to jump on the frontlines and few ever died in a fight.

They could cross realms to battle and as long as they reached adulthood, no one was their match. The only way one could defeat them was through cheating, in a head on battle, anyone was bound to lose.

Dion shook his head to disperse any stray thoughts he could have and then decided to explore the mountain.

He didn’t feel like walking for some reason, so he made his body levitate above the ground and slowly look in a direction, and went there.

The purple dragon didn’t like to be left behind, so it followed him closely.

He looked at the purple dragon running beside him and said, “I am Dion. I will choose a name for you…how about Dino? It’s just playing with the letters of my name…what do you think, Dino?”

-Growl- Dino looked like he understood him and said in agreement.

On the way they saw many legendary trees and their fruits, and they both picked some as they explored while eating.

Dion had looked in his Alchemy ring and all these trees and plants were in there as well. If it was in his previous life, he would’ve become mad from seeing so many legendary fruits, in such great quantities, something the handful of Paladin Families had coveted and kept hidden.

But, now, with his new memories, it was completely a normal thing for him to be in the possession of so many of them.

To think that they cost a leg in his previous system.

He felt his heart ache because he could’ve earned millions of System points if he sold the fruits of just one tree using the Exchange function of the previous System.

But now, he only had the right to trade with his alternate selves. Perhaps he could sell these fruits to them instead, without having to use the system shop which only gave him ten percent per transaction. This way, he would be the shop himself and pocket all the money, but he knew he was dreaming…because, ultimately he would have to use the Lesser Multiverse merchant system to sell anything,...a transaction fee of twenty percent was mandatory if he was the seller and not the system.

Finally after a few hours, they reached the edge of the barrier.

Dino was mad at being stopped in its exploration and heavily rammed the barrier only to almost faint from the pain.

“I thought as much…” Dion said. He continued, “I found it strange that two newborns could be born so safely, especially with the absence of parents. It seems that our parents created a little haven for us.”

He wondered if he could use teleportation to leave with Dino.

He put his hand on Dino and activated teleportation with the target being a few meters outside the barrier.

It…worked.

He turned around to look at the barrier and realized that while he could see the outside from inside, now he only saw a black veil.

Well, let’s find humans first. I wonder how far the nearest city is…but before that, I should change my appearance. There's nothing more eye-catching than a baby alone with a dragon.

If something happens we can always teleport back inside the barrier, I have a feeling that we’re the only ones who can enter it.
