"A simple compliment to a stranger can change their day." -Rukito Nokuwa
The next day, I woke up with a headache, I was trying to remember all day of the dream I had, so I decided to go and walk around the city with Jinn.
“Tomorrow night we will leave to your hometown, Tokiri Islands,” I said.
“That’s great! Did you text Aizawa?”
“Yeah, she said she was ok with it.”
“I can’t wait! By the way, how did it go with Nightshade?”
“We just came to close terms that we would remain in a sibling type of relationship; she just wants cuddles after all, I don’t really mind.”
“Hmm… fair enough!” Said Jinn.
As we were walking through the city, we kept talking about each other, he soon asked me what my singularity did, which I soon responded,
“If I have it activated for too long it starts corrupting my body with this burning feeling, so I can’t really rely on it too much.”
“Oh, I see,” Said Jinn while looking down and humming, “Maybe that’s why the apocalypse happened; you used your singularity too much.”
“Huh, that actually could be it.” I closed my eyes and said, “But if so… that means this power is far more dangerous than I thought it was… maybe I shouldn’t use it at all, or I would put everyone at risk.”
“Yeah, good idea. Only use it as a last resort, until then, you can count on me as a shield of humanity!” He said while letting out his hand for a handshake. I shook his hand with a smile and said,
“Alright, Jinn, we’re all counting on you.” I quickly heard an energetic voice coming out of nowhere that said,
“And I’ll be the sword!” It was Sora, he also let out his hand to shake mines.
“Sora?... how much of that did you hear?” I asked.
“Enough to know who you are, ‘Kaiser’.” He said with a sigh.
“Well… I want to apologize for not letting you know beforehand.”
“It’s fine, knowing that you are on our side puts me more at ease.” I lent out my hand and said,
“Then… deal it is!” He shook my hand with a smile and said,
“We should make it a thing.”
“A thing?” Asked Jinn.
“Yeah! Like a badass group that goes around protecting the people from criminals and unfair laws from my father.”
“So, like a vigilante team?” Asked Jinn.
“Yeah!” Said Sora.
“Hmm… wouldn’t that bring too much attention to us?”
“Yeah, but that would mean that criminals, tyrants, and unjust rulers will know our existence, so maybe that will force them to think twice before doing anything bold.”
“Yeah, but… I don’t want to get Nightshade caught up into this, and I’m sure even you, Sora, wouldn’t want your sister to be caught up into this either.” Wait… Nightshade… That’s right, she was raised by Juliet; and the goal entrusted to her was… to unite pixies and humans once again. Maybe I’m just trying to push her away from her goal… maybe I…
“You’re right, but Zue is not dumb, if we tell her our intentions, I’m sure she will manage to be cautious no problem, she is way smarter than I am.” Maybe I should trust in Nightshade more, just like Sora trusts his sister.
“Hmm… I’ll think about it, Sora.” I said. I first have to check to see if everyone is ok with it.

“Great! Can’t wait to wear some cool masks!” I’d have to see to make some cool masks for all of us too, I don’t really have anyone that I know of or trust at the moment that is skilled in crafting… or… maybe I do. As I was about to reach down to my phone to call Fuji, the giant billboard on the city changed to an announcement by princess Zue Fastarhan herself.
“Good morning, good people of Greenterra.” Greenterra? Is this a country broadcast?! “My name is Zue Fastarhan, first of my name, and princess of this magnificent country of beautiful people and creatures.” The crowd suddenly started screaming her name.
“Zue!”
“Princess!”
“She is always so gorgeous and graceful!”
“Speaking of the devil,” said Sora with a smirk.
“Today I’m going to make a quick, but a very important announcement.” Is this it? Is she going to be able to clear my name? Show me what you got, princess.
“What could it be?” Asked a random citizen.
“I’m going to address the events of last year’s apocalypse, so if any of you are sensible for this topic, I apologize. The apocalypse was something horrible that should have never had happened, and I’m genuinely heartbroken by all the casualties we had. I would like to send all my condolences to the happy families that were hurt the most.”
“She is so sweet…” Said Jinn. Yeah, I can see that she is really skilled with words. But she is not lying, or else her singularity would take action.
“I promise that humanity will never forget such an event from the devils. Therefore, we started communicating with the angels to figure out a way to investigate more on the matter, more specifically, Shizuka Aizawa.”
“Ms. Aizawa?” Asked Sora.
“I had a chat with her not too long ago about the matter, and we concluded with a good theory…” She sighed and said, “but that’s why it hurts me to say that… we don’t believe that Rukito Nokuwa was guilty of his crimes.” Suddenly, everyone gasped, but Jinn, Sora, and I had a smile.
“She… didn’t faint!”
“She not lying.”
“I actually had a chance of having an encounter with Rukito Nokuwa not too long ago, and we had a nice chat. He explained that he believed that he was overtaken by some sinister power. At first, I didn’t believe him, but then I noticed that his heart was pure and clear of genocide.”
“I-Impossible!”
“But… she is not lying, she can’t lie!”
“I don’t believe this crap.”
“I know this might be hard to believe, but you all have to trust me! If we are understanding of him, we could have him on our side and then use him as a weapon back to the devils!”
“She is right! We could get our revenge!” Damn, she didn’t have to be that brutally honest. But I doubt war is what she really wants, she is just saying that to manipulate people’s opinion of me, and she is doing such a great job at it… she completely gained my full respect.
“Well, that is all. Please think about it, as we could finally stand a chance and fight against the devils if we use him. And remember,” She stood in attention and said, “Glory from neutrality!” Then soon everyone else stood in attention and repeated the same quote, except Jinn and I. Sora looked to us and said,
“You two don’t know about the race quotes?”

“Race quotes?” I asked.
“What?” Asked Jinn.
“Yeah, humanity has, ‘Glory from neutrality,’ angels have ‘Honor from divinity,’ and devils have, ‘Freedom from wickedness.’”
“Oh wow, I actually didn’t know that.” Said Jinn.
“Yeah, me neither.” After the broadcast, everyone started going with their day, thinking if to either acknowledge Rukito as a person or not. I then quickly heard a familiar female voice saying,
“Uhm… excuse me.” I turned around. It was a woman with long black hair, down to her butt, and gorgeous blue eyes.
“Woah, and who are you?” Asked Sora.
“Me? I… I don’t have a name, but I heard you both talking about making a group of vigilantes, s-so, I would like to join!” Yup, I knew that talking in a crowd wasn’t a good idea.
“Uhm… can we go somewhere more… less crowded?” I asked.
“Y-yeah!” She said. We started walking in a back alley. I turned around towards this girl and looked into her eyes for a couple of seconds. She… has familiar eyes, I actually think I’m starting to get a headache here.
“What’s your name? For real.” I asked. If she heard all of our conversations, we couldn’t just let her go by as nothing happened.
“I-I’m serious. I don’t have a name.”
“You don’t have any sort of identification?” I asked.
“N-no… I actually don’t remember much, of anything… of who I am… of who I was. I woke up a couple of weeks ago in the middle of a forest, naked… then I walked in the city and quickly got treated by nice people by a church, and since then I’ve been trying to remember something, but nothing.”
“And you just want to join our vigilante group just like that? Our leader still hasn’t chosen if we are really going to do it or not.”
“Hey! Who decided I’m the leader?!”
“I know… it’s weird, but… he…” she blushed. “As soon as I saw him, I couldn’t take my eyes off him.”
“Not another girl…”
“Wow, Kaiser just won’t stop with his harem.” Said Jinn.
“N-no!” Said the girl while blushing more and holding her face. “Not attracted like that!”
“Hmm? Then what do you mean?” I asked.
“I don’t know… it’s a weird feeling... it’s almost as if my body… aches to…” Hmm? I had a weird feeling. The wind picked up, the birds stopped singing, everything went silent. My heart starting racing for some reason, and then she said those words that sent a chill down my spine, “My body aches to kill you…” She said with a distorted voice. She spread her enormous and obscure raven black wings, her eyes turned fully black and she said,
“Akira… this is a reminder.” Jinn rushed right in front of me, an ocean-blue light flashed.
“ASTRAL GUARDIAN: DIAMOND KNIGHT!” The mysterious girl made a spear of shadow, and threw it towards Jinn shield, breaking it and shattering it in multiple pieces.
“Gah! What is… that power?!” Said Jinn.
“Jinn, are you alright?!”
“Rukito! Stay back!” He yelled. We soon heard Sora yelling,
“STATIC EMPEROR: LAST TWINS!” A bolt of lightning fell on top of him, but without damaging anybody around. Sora ran across the wall towards this woman with two swords made out of electricity and yelled,
“Stay back!”
“I’m still alive… I can reincarnate one more time, even if I die here.” She dodged Sora’s attack and teleported behind me while saying,
“This is my last tick of power, from here on, I will spend the next years trying to recover 100% of my power in another planet, and until then, you best remember me, and protect my vessel at all cost, I know you won’t hurt her… in fact, I will give your memories with her back to you.”
“W-what? How is she faster than me?! I didn’t even see her!” Said Sora. The darkness suddenly disappeared and left the girl on the floor crying. She looked up while Sora held a sword to her throat. She started crying even more and said,
“Please, help me…”
“You better explain before you lose your soul!” Said Sora.
“Sora, wait!” I yelled. I got closer to this girl, and asked,
“You look very familiar… and somehow I don’t feel threatened by your eyes.”
“Rukito, what are you talking about?!” Yelled Jinn.
“Get away from her!” Yelled Sora.
“It’s fine guys, she is not… someone evil.” I slowly walked up to her crying and held her hand gently while gazing deep into her blue eyes.
As we made physical contact, I got some sudden memories. I was 16 years old in a huge orphanage building with a beach at the back. I was very familiar with this building since I was raised almost my whole life in here, but not too long an eastern new girl with long black wavy hair and blue eyes arrived. She had a thin body, but you could clearly see that she took care of herself, and she was around my age too which was weird since most kids are left at a young age. She got to settle in and get comfortable in her own skin, because every time I looked at her, she seemed very uncomfortable when people approached her.
We used to get these ‘Throughout Soul Evaluation’ or T.S.E every six months. The scores were never released, but they always announced the top scorers on the Intelligence Quotient tests, Creative Quotient test, and Emotional Quotient test. I always got the top score on the Emotional Quotient test, it apparently means that I’m really good at managing my own emotions and understanding other people’s emotions.
Surprisingly, this new girl completely aced the C.Q and I.Q test on her first try, I’ve never heard of someone that’s both really creative and really smart at the same time, she is definitely a prodigy. But being popular, awkward, and shy is not a good combination, so other kids started to make fun of her for any little thing that they found since they didn’t want to be her friend. Some kind girls that I knew walked up to her and tried being friends, but they soon left; all they say is that they found her ‘too weird.’
We were in lunch; I was with my group of friends eating while I shortly stared at the new girl.
“Rukito, what are you looking at?”
“Is it Robot girl?”
“Sure, she is good looking, but she is a real weirdo.” Said, my friends.
“Maybe I should try and talk to her myself… I’m the one that has the highest EQ score here anyways.” I said.
“Good luck then.” I decided to walk up to this girl at lunchtime since I know that she might feel very uneasy with all this unneeded hate. As I was walking up to her, I noticed that she kept her hands in her pockets and always sat far away from everyone else, but now that I think about it, she does it all the time. I thought of something funny to say since that’s the best way to talk to a shy girl.
“If I were to ask you out on a date, would your answer be the same as the answer to this question?” I was saving that pick-up line for the most interesting and intelligent girl in the orphanage, so far, she seems to be that person so that’s why I used it now. She let out a quiet and nervous giggle then said,
“R-Rukito, right? You’re pretty popular for having such E.Q scores.”
“You didn’t answer my question,” I said.
“I-I can’t answer that you fricking silly tomato!” She said while blushing. I chuckled, sat down beside her, and said,
“Silly tomato? That’s a first,” I looked down to her lunch and said, “you always pick seafood out of everything.” I said.
“W-well, It’s my favorite food.” I tried to add long pauses in between my sentences since usually shy girls are too shy to interrupt you.
“Really? I prefer pasta.”
“I’m not a fan, but I respect your choice.” She said.
“By the way, why does everyone keep calling you robot girl?”
“O-oh! Uhm… I guess… since having an IQ and CQ top score is not normal, so they probably think I’m some kind of robot.” She talked quite fast compared to the rest of the people.
“Hmm, that’s pretty rude of them. I’m guessing you don’t like the name.”
“I fricking hate it, but I learned to deal with it.”
“That’s the spirit! Who cares what they think of you, so far you seem a pretty cool girl to me.”
“Y-you think so?” She said while blushing. She shortly paused then looked at me with an intention to scare me which was cute.
“Waarh~ I’m the robot girl called Andromeda that will eat every last human being~! Piece by piece, bone by bone!~” I chuckled from her cute intent to scare me away and said,
“Robots don’t eat people.”
“Damn it… I thought it would work.” She was clearly trying to scare me away so she could be alone.
“Do you want me to leave?” I asked.
“N-no! Sorry, I was just testing you, I thought that someone dared you to talk to me, but I guess I was wrong.”
“I wouldn’t do something like that! I’m here to be your friend!”
“My friend?... You?”
“Yeah, why? Is something wrong with me?”
“N-n-not at all! I just… didn’t expect a popular boy to be interested in being friends with me.”
“Please stop. Popularity doesn’t make me better than you.”
“Hmm… you know… you seem like a nice person, Rukito.”
“I wouldn’t call myself nice, but sure!” I said while chuckling.
“Can we really be friends?”
“Only if you tell me why I always see you going around the place collecting bottle caps.”
“W-w-when did y-you see such thing?!” She asked.
“After lunch, when everyone leaves, I sometimes stay to clean, and I see you walking around the place with your hands in your pocket looking for bottle caps.” She blushed and said,
“W-well, I… please don’t tell anybody!”
“Of course I won’t, now tell me.”
“I… I… I collect bottle caps as a hobby!” I started laughing loudly from what she said, “S-stop laughing! Everyone is looking this way!”
“S-Sorry, I” I kept laughing.
“Stop laughing, Rukito!” She said while holding my shoulders and shaking me with an adorable nervous expression.
“Sorry, I just- I find it really cute, and I usually laugh at cute things.”
“C-cute...” She instantly let go of me, covered her blushing face and looked away. “Everyone always says it’s weird.”
“Don’t listen to them. Any other cute hobbies?”
“Well… I like taking pictures of things I enjoy.”
“Aww, so sweet.”
“C-can you stop?!” I chuckled.
“How about you tell me your name, huh?”
“It’s...”
“It’s?”
“I don’t have a name… I don’t have parents.”
“Oh, so basically just like me.”
“You have a name though!”
“Not parents, as much as I know of.”
“Ah, I understand. It freaking sucks.”
“You say that a lot, huh?”
“What?”
“'Freaking'”
“I don’t really like cursing.”
“Even cuter.”
“S-shut up! I don’t like you anyways so why are you trying to flirt with me?!”
“That’s fine, I don’t like you either!” I said with a serious face. We clearly knew that we both liked each other, but I guess neither of us had the courage to admit it at first.
“Who likes someone that has red hair and yellow eyes anyways?”
“A lot of girls actually.”
“Shut up! Then go to them!”
“And who likes someone with bland black hair and overrated blue eyes that collects bottle caps?”
“N-nobody… I know that!” She said while looking away. Crap, I didn’t think it will go this way, I didn’t mean to hurt her.
“I-I’m joking.”
“Whatever…” She said with a sad tone. I got even closer to her, held one of her shoulders to start getting comfortable with each other in physical contact and said,
“Hey, I really mean it. I didn’t mean to insult your hobby; I find it unique.”
“Ok…”
“How about we think of a name for you, huh?”
“A name? Why do you have to be the one giving it to me?”
“Well damn, sorry…” I said with a hurtful tone. “I just… wanted to brighten up your mood, that’s all.” She smiled at me and said,
“You brightened up my day, Rukito. Thank you for going out of your way to talk to me and make me happy.” Those words of gratitude were deep for me.
“Y-you’re welcome.”
“Happy… in eastern culture, the word happy can also be read as ‘Sachi’ so… what do you think of that name?”
“Sachi? That sounds great for you!”
“Thank you.” The bell to go back to class rang, so we said our goodbyes and told each other to meet at the same spot every lunch. We kept talking, making fun of each other and slowly but surely falling in love more and more without even realizing. It got to a point where I made a multi-colored bracelet for her that shined every time she wore it. I was the only one that knew how to make them so there were only a few in the world. I later told her that it shined because she had a singularity; back then there were classes that taught us how to unlock our singularities.
A couple of months passed, and one night, she sneaked into the boy’s dorm just so she could chat more with me at night. I was about to fall asleep when I felt some movement coming from below the bed, Sachi slowly crawled up and I started freaking out. I thought it was a demon coming for my life, my days as a carefree boy were finished, I guess this is what I get for hanging out with so many girls and not picking one. Damn it, I wish I could have just married Sac-
“Hey!” She said while jumping beside me.”
“Shush! Everyone else is sleeping. W-What are you doing here? Most importantly, how did you get here?”
“This is not a maximum-security prison, it’s not that hard sneaking around. Especially with my spiritual singularity.”
“Right… Phantom Queen. It allows you to teleport in any spot where there is a shadow, and in the night, you can do so anywhere where your eyes can see.”
“Pretty strong, right?”
“Yeah, definitely better than my stupid spirit daisho. That damn katana and wakizashi won’t unsheathe, so I’m stuck with the tanto.”
“Have you tried meditating? I do it all the time as my morning routine.”
“Meditating? No, that’s stupid.”
“You’re stupid!” Said Sachi.
“Keep it down…!” Sachi got under the sheets while blushing with me and said,
“Let’s meditate together then.”
“That shyness sure rubbed off quick,” I said.
“Shut up…! If I liked you, I would be too embarrassed to even be here. Goodness, I can definitely see how I got a higher IQ than you…!” She said as her whole face was red.
“Suuure….”
“Do you want to unlock your wakizashi or not?”
“Yeah, I really do,” I said with a serious tone.
“Alright, then meditate with me…!”
“If you get caught here, you will be in big trouble.”
“Y-you care about me that much?” She said.
“N-no…! I’ll just get in trouble too if you get caught here with me. I don’t care about you…!”
“S-stop lying…! I’m not naïve…” She got really close to my face, almost as if she really wanted to kiss me but stopped at the last second, to the point that we could feel each other’s breath. We held eye contact for three seconds and then she looked away blushing. “W-why are you staring into my eyes like that? You perv…!”
“W-what are you talking about?! You’re the girl that sneaked into my bed, and I’m the perv? How the hell do you keep getting top IQ scores?”
“I just… my mind and heart are always so nervous when I’m around you…”
“Oh…” I said while blushing.
“But don’t get it twisted…! It’s only because I have Glossophobia…!”
“Sachi, we both know that the only phobia you have is the one about stupid baked beans,” I said while starting to laugh inside.
“Leguminophobia is not a joke…! Your singularity is!” She said while giggling.
“Hey, that’s not nice…!” I said while still laughing inside. We both gazed into each other’s eyes once more, but this time it was for longer, and it was sweeter. We both were so deep in love with each other, but so nervous to confess thinking that it was going to ruin our friendship.
“You know… out of all the girls I’ve hung out with, you’re the first one that makes me feel… myself,” I said.
“T-that’s….” She stood frozen while blushing.
“Can you sleep with me tonight? Sachi.”
“S-s-sleep with you? But they will see me in the morning.”
“Don’t worry, I have the far end bed, it has a weird angle so their field of view should be away from you if you stay close to me at the right side of the bed, and if anything, hide under the covers.”
“I have trouble sleeping at night, you know… I always take too long to fall asleep, and when I do sleep, I oversleep.”
“Even better, maybe if you sleep with me you fall asleep faster.”
“A-alright, but only for tonight! We’re just friends after all.” I didn’t expect her to answer that quick.
“Really? I was hoping for more.”
“I mean, if you really want to, we could do this more ofte-”
“See! You’re the pervert here…! I was just testing you to see if you would sleep with me again!” I said. But deep inside, I wanted to sleep with her not just tonight, but every other to come. I’ve really grown attached to her by the fact that she is so much different compared to other girls. She is special and unique. The way she talks, the way she reacts, almost everything is special about her.
“I just want you to meditate, that’s all…!” She said. Immediately after, someone opened the door, but luckily, I quickly laid down and Sachi hid under the sheets. It was a sister checking on us to see if we were all sleeping. She closed the door and then we heard her say to someone else,
“They are sleeping.”
“Good, then come with me, I have something important to tell you.” Said someone with a very old voice.
“Yes, grandmother.”
“Rukito, did you hear that?” Asked Sachi.
“Yeah, I did.”
“Want to go follow them?”
“I don’t know… it sounds dangerous.”
“You scared?” She asked with a smug. I really wanted to kiss her to shut her up and wipe away that smug of hers, but I was way too nervous.
“No, I just…” I didn’t want her to get in trouble or to get hurt.
“You’re definitely scared.”
“Shut up before I throw baked beans at you…!”
“No, please, don’t do that, Rukito…!” We ended up following them. Since Sachi’s singularity was perfect to chase people in the night, she didn’t have a problem, but on my side, I did. I still managed to chase them. They entered a secret room behind a wall that I had no idea of and started walking underground. As they were walking Sachi and I heard,
“How is the find for my next vessel going?” Asked the old woman. Vessel?
“It’s going perfect, grandma. The new girl that arrived with no name has achieved the highest scores on the IQ and CQ test. She also seems to have no connections whatsoever with the outside world, so if she changed or disappeared out of nowhere, no one would care or know.” Huh? Why are they talking about Sachi?
“Very well… we have to watch out for the new reincarnation of Akira, this is the last one, but it’s going to be the strongest one. The last one wasn’t so easy to kill…”
“H-how about you, grandma? How many reincarnations you have left?”
“I’ve only died once against Akira, and it was when I first fought him and ended in a tie. So, my soul is still strong enough to reincarnate three times.” Akira? Who’s that?
“Well, we’ve been absorbing energy by the ones who get a really low score on the T.S.E for your recovery.”
“Good. After my power passes on onto this girl, I will need that energy to fully awaken my powers so I can go in the hunt for the last Akira.” Wait… so all of my friends that went missing… they… they died?! It makes sense since all of them told me that they always bombarded the T.S.E. I was completely shocked hearing all of this, my heart started racing faster and faster as I understood how dangerous this old woman is. We entered in a room full of tubes and kids in machines; those kids… were my friends. I had a rage building up inside me, slowly but surely.
“Poor kids… living a happy life just to end so abruptly, I almost feel pity for them.” Said the old woman. Sachi had a really shocked and scared expression on her, but for me, that fear turned into anger. I took out my singularity and held my katana firmly in my hands, suddenly, I heard a voice in my head that sounded like mine but a bit deeper.
“What is it you fight for, kid?”
“I… I’m going to kill her; I WILL kill her!” I felt a sudden weight on my shoulder as I was dashing towards her with my Katana in my hands.
“This is the weight of your determination; you lose this determination… you lose a reason to fight… the Katana of Wind will not be unsheathed if not by a stronger resolve.” I unsheathed the entire katana; the wind blew up extremely fast. As I dashed behind the old woman to slice her legs off. I started seeing everything in slow motion. The old lady jumped the attack and kicked me away with all her strength. I went flying against the wall, making a huge crack in it. She looked at me with a surprised expression and asked,
“And who are you?”
“How dare you take their life for granted!” I yelled. The sister looked at me and said,
“Rukito… what are you doing here?”
“Is that his name?” Asked the old woman.
“Everyone trusted you, sister Tina! Each one of those kids!”
“Tsk, and I found each one of them annoying.” I rushed back to them again while spitting blood, but this time glowing wolves appeared and attacked the sister with rage. The old woman rushed to me and grabbed me by my neck. She had no pupils… both her eyes were entirely black.
“You seem like an interesting kid… it would be such a waste to kill you; you have so much potential.”
“L-let me go…”
“Red hair… yellow eyes… are you Akira’s reincarnation?”
“I have no idea of who that is!”
“If you are… then I’m not going to be able to kill your inner devil with my current power.” Sachi suddenly appeared behind the old woman and tried to slice her neck with a dagger she had. But Ochiru quickly noticed it, turned around, kicked Sachi’s knees and made her fall on the ground. She placed her foot on top of Sachi’s neck while she still had me in her hands.
“You… you must be my vessel.”
“D-don’t touch her, you bitch!” I yelled while my body started growing a black aura around me. She looked at both of us, smiled and said,
“Is that Rei? No… she doesn’t look like that. How sweet, you found love even though it isn’t Rei.”
“Let her go!”
“This is going to be really interesting… two lovers fighting each other from fate.”
“W-what is she talking about?” Asked Sachi.
“Rukito, was it? I will let you live, as of now I won’t be able to kill your soul.”
“I don’t care what happens to me, just let her go!”
“I’m afraid I can’t do that, but don’t worry, I won’t kill her, in fact, you will definitely see her again in the future.” The black aura fully covered me, and I quickly pushed her off, horns appeared on my head, but no wings appeared.
“Leave her alone!” I yelled.
“That’s not good, I have to end this quick.” She said. I tried slicing her with my Katana, but she barely dodged every single attack, I suddenly thought of breaking all the tubes instead, and so I did.
“YOU IDIOT! Those are years’ worth of energy!”
“Sachi! Get out of here!” I yelled. She stood up and said,
“I-I can’t just leave you alone!”
“Get out of where? We’re on an island, millions of miles away from any coast.”
“W-what?” I said. Ochiru released a lot of energy, dashed behind me and hit me in the neck making me lose consciousness, and the last things I heard were,
“Don’t worry, you will be sent to another orphanage. Your memories will be erased of everything that happened here thanks to my Void oblivion.” My memory? Erased? No… I don’t want to forget her. I don’t want to forget Sachi. I hit the ground and I passed out.
“Rukito!” Yelled Sachi. But it was too late. She tried teleporting next to me and picking me up but Ochiru stopped her. Ochiru grabbed her wrist and said,
“I have great plans for you.”

It turns out the game itself was a pet project of the gods, and one delinquent goddess has decided to make use of our hero's skills to save her realm while she herself works to break his many in game records.
8 75Chasing the Hurricane
There was once an Empire that stood here. The Clawscar Empire. For centuries they were the dominating power of the lands of the west. However, during the reign of Emperor Rahl, the people of the Empire became complacent and lazy, giving themselves to debauchery and degeneracy, ignoring the problems the nation faced. As time passed, the land started to die, relationships with other nations worsened, and Clawscar was slowly becoming a miserable place to live. However, one night, suddenly, the old, rotting order was swept away by a mysterious storm that left as quickly as it came. The people who lived to see it called it the Ghost Hurricane. Years have passed since the hurricane's rampage. Now, a young man prepares to make his trek across the Empire's Corpse, hoping to learn the truth of things... Note: Has nothing to do with the ongoing Magic Knight Saga, also written by me.
