Thank you for reading to the end of The Time Eater! As this is the end of the very first volume of The Ageless Sword series, I have a few important announcements to make. (Stick around, there's a contest with prizes.)
First of all, a big thank you to everyone who commented and supported me through this. It may not seem like much, but even a single comment is enough to make my day.
Now for the announcements! To start with, though I started posting this novel under The Time Eater, I'm going to be changing it to the series title of The Ageless Sword, so don't be surprised if you see something totally different next time you log in. I also have a new cover for The Time Eater, so even that will be changing!
I will also be taking a brief break before I start posting the next book. The first chapter of Crossing of Fates will be posted on October 12, 2020, and updates will be moving to a regular 3 days a week. I hope to see you all there for first chapter. Updates will be posted as an ongoing continuation, so if you favorite or follow The Time Eater, you'll know when the Crossing of Fates posts.
And finally, the big announcement! To celebrate the ending of The Time Eater, I will be hosting a contest of two parts. Part one is a fanart contest with two winners receiving a copy of Clip Studio Paint Pro, and if we get enough entries, an even bigger grand-prize will be added to the mix!
Along with this, I'll be holding a drawing as well for a $50 Amazon gift card. Entries are easy to earn, but to find the out the rest of the details for both the drawing and the fanart contest, you'll need to head on over to my new website, www.theagelesssword.com!

And as one last farewell until we meet again, I'll leave you with the poem that's been accompanying us on this long journey.
A Tale of Hero's Pride:
A war had been brewing here.
Fought twixt nations, hearts
full of hatred and of fear
With cruel magic arts.
Marquest, the nation mighty,
Prided alther blades.
We from battle never flee,
And never seeking aid.
Terris, land of tradition,
Magic masters wise.
Held fast to their position,
Sought a deadly prize.
Though many years we had fought
With no end in sight,
Balanced though advantage sought
Till all changed one night.
Desperate Terris stole power
From a monster old
before whom all do cower.
Their future they sold.
Dieos the Time Eater,
Demi of ages past,
Usurped The Terris leader.
So the stone was cast.
Such power never seen before.
Marquest bound by fears,
Loses followed by still more.
We wept futile tears.
Pain and fear too hard to stem,
Not a hope to hold
For a hero to save them.
Who could be so bold?
Then a hero stood so tall.
Saw the soldiers poor,
Counting those who did fall,
Vowed never one more.
Blade of night and edge sky-blue
Held 'bove hero's head.
Bold and silent, to strike true,
Evil's eyes of red.
With alther dark and magic bright,
Clash of sword and spell.
Their contest went through the night
Till the monster fell.
Silence fell across the land
As the fighting faded.
Soldiers cheered an end so grand
To the foe they hated.
But alas our brave hero
Stood after no more.
Though lives and peace we did owe,
A hero to the core.
A story told through years long,
Stretching far and wide.
Remembered in this song
Tale of hero's pride.
Thank you so much for the support. I'll see you once again on October 12.

What Was Lost Outside Time
What happens to a mind, subjected to an infinite span of time? What remains, when it is taken out again? This is the story of an individual reborn after such time has passed that nothing remains of what it was; an individual who must learn once again what it is to be, beginning with awareness of the idea of awareness, and growing from there; from awareness of self, to awareness of others, to awareness of society, and on. This is the story of a mind; growing, learning, adapting, and becoming more. -- Currently the first three chapters are - well, kind of experimental. I both like and hate these; they were a pain to write, and I'm told by at least one person that they're painful to get through, but I think something like them is necessary to set one of the basic ideas about the way the story is written. It gets slightly more normal after that, the first arc of the story is rather "battle school", and I think I may need to go back and edit it - the characterization didn't end up working out as well as I had originally hoped, unfortunately, and ended up rather weak to my eye. I may go back and add a sub-plot or two, depending on how well I can handle the intended perspective shift of the second arc. -- Currently on hiatus, in case that wasn't obvious. I'm debating between rewriting large portions of what I've already written, and just finishing out the story, but either way, I don't actually have a clear idea of what I want to do right now. If I'm still feeling the same way in a few months I'll put a chapter up explaining where the story was going, maybe, so the people who have enjoyed it can know where the story was intended to go, and close this out.

The Pugilist
Vincent Roy Salazar has never been your common folk. He climbed any mountain he found in front of him. From a bright young student to an accomplished professor, his life can be described as a continuous race to the top of his chosen fields. Patriarch of a loving family, proud father of three already grown siblings, Roy realizes that his life is the perfect picture of what the average man strives for, and for that he is truly grateful. But happiness is a difficult-to-reach goal, and as he lies in a pool of his own blood, his fist cracked, a young lady crying while cradling his head, he remembers what really gave sense to his youth. Pure Unadulterated Violence The Pugilist wants to be a different take on isekai shenanigans. What would happen if instead of a moronic idiot, a depressed high schooler, or a wannabe hero the one to get his do-over is a fully grown man that has already seen what life has to offer in full? Someone who conformed himself to society, but has always craved something different? In a journey of self-discovery, academy building, god-slaying, and absolutely no harem we follow someone driven by logic, experience, and a smokey goal: to fuck shit up, have fun while doing so, and maybe resume his career as a professor for those strange, magic-wielding, unstable youths that seems to never get enough of his presence. Guys, a few notes, first of all, this is my first time writing long-form fiction. I have a background in psychology, and my main income comes from writing dreary financial articles on SEO blogs. But after a bad break-up, and finding myself falling asleep only while thinking of deus ex machina for stories on this site (and for APGTE) I decided to try my hand at this web series thingy. I'm confident in my grammar, but that's it. Everything else will be a first time, and as such any constructive criticism is encouraged and gratefully accepted. Now, on the story. Romance will be introduced once my little heart is mended, if you are scared of LGBT you may be turned off by the fact that I plan to have no taboo of any kind in my universe, but I won't ever write detailed sex scenes for any characters so don't worry too much. The litRPG part is very light and will take place later in the novel, but it's a key component nonetheless, for world-building and storyline reasons. I already have everything big planned out, so I won't drop it outta nowhere, and I hope you won't find too many flaws in how things pan out. I plan to make The Pugilist an interactive story, with secondary characters created by my audience and introduced after tweaks and careful planning. The main reason I'm writing this is that I want to build a community for myself in this time of isolation. I discovered that exercising, playing the piano or video games means jack-shit when you are utterly miserable, so I hope to give some value to my readers in exchange for praise, fame, money, and companionship. I give full props to anyone who has read this whole mess of a synopsis: I hope to not disappoint too much, now let's write some more steaming garbage that will be in dire need of editing later on.

A Long Refrain
September, in the Continuate: For most students living in the Third Division, the month's arrival usually means the start of a new school year. But not so for one particular freshman, whose first month at college seems to never end—literally. Set during the 20th year of the nation's Rectification Era, A Long Refrain follows Melody Quick’s attempts to escape from the month-long time loop she's found herself trapped in. Her journey, which starts in the capital city of Somnhaven, will take her across the vast expanse of land once known as Circadia, whose forgotten histories, ancient secrets and eccentric inhabitants could hold the key to discovering the true nature of the loop and the role she herself plays within it. However, the more she learns, the more cruel truths she must face: Will she really be able to handle the awful reality behind the loop, and all that it entails? And will those very same answers she's found be enough to not only break her free from the loop, but to also protect the people she holds dear? (A-and from what, exactly ...?)

Ferrian's Winter
Ferrian has been running his whole life. Running, because he has no choice. Wherever he goes, Winter follows. Wherever he sleeps, frost creeps at his door. From town to town he hastens, frightened, tired; forever trying to keep one step ahead of the cold, the snow and the devastating storms. It is a kind of curse, and Ferrian has no idea what it means. Only someone with a knowledge of magic might be able to to help him, but sorcerers are nearly extinct in the world. Two brothers remain, however; the last of their once-noble kind, holed up in a secluded valley, waging their own private and very personal war. Ferrian, captured by the local law enforcers, finds himself unexpectedly amongst friends sympathetic to his cause, and together they set out on an adventure-filled quest to find the last sorcerers. * * * * * This is a completed, self-published novel, over two volumes, that I am serialising for Royal Road.
