《Origin of death》Chapter 6: Unexpected visitor

During the talk with a system, a sudden event drew Amirel's attention.
"Hmm... System you know what it is?"
What are you talking about?
System asks worriedly. The fact that something slipped past its senses makes it anxious.
"Something or someone appeared in my realm"
As the ruler of this realm amirel has total control over it. It also includes energy flowing in it, because of that he was able to notice a sudden intrusion by simply sensing foreign energy signature.
Can you sense what or who it is?
Amirel starts silently probing this foreign object while being careful to not be spotted by the target.
After a few seconds of examination, he gets a general idea about the 'intruder'.
"It's a humanoid being and I'm sure it's not here to fight."
His words made system confused, it does not know how Amirel was able to determine their visitor's intentions.
Why do you think that?
"From the moment it appeared, it stays at the same place without moving too much."
Makes sense
The system immediately understood his conclusion but right after that asks a question in a serious and calm tone.
Is it strong?
Origin of death then closes his eyes and scans the amount of essence emitted by the visitor. After a short time, he opens his eyes and gives his answer.
"A weakling"
Then let's go and say hello to this intruder
He starts flying in the direction of the intruder.
Upon getting closer he sees a woman. She has long blonde hair, blue eyes and two pairs of red wings on her back. The woman is dressed in white and blue robes.
After some time Amirel lands a few meters before her and notices a leather bag engraved with runes on her waist.
At that moment she also sees him and her eyes go wide while slightly shaking.

"I have no bad intentions. My name is Eli."
She talks while keeping a calm expression on her face despite her shaken thoughts.
'How is this possible? I am rank six angel!'
She is unable to sense Amirel's power.
There are only two ways to block someone's senses. The first is to use a relic with that sort of effect while the other one is much simpler. You only need to be much more powerful than the one trying to probe you.
In this case, it's impossible that the god in front of her has this sort of treasure. This only leaves the other possibility.
All non-mortal being have ranks. Eli as a rank 6 angel is comparable to a rank 4 god. Yet at this moment, a newly awakened god is way stronger than her.
But the most frightening thing is that his domain is death. This power can only be gained in two ways.
The faster way is to become a god of death. In this way, your soul will start to generate and store this energy by itself. This possibility is excluded by her immediately because Amirel has awakened recently, so that means he did not have enough time to become so powerful. This leaves a second option, which makes it even more incredible.
This method is based on the fact that an ordinary soul also subconsciously collects it from its surroundings. The problem is that it is such a slow process that he would have to spend millions of years in such a state to reach the level he has.
That is exactly what happened.
"How can I help you?"
It is the first time that Amirel spoke from the time he arrived here. For the whole time, he was examining this visitor.
When Eli heard him she starts shaking even more. The reason behind such a reaction is that his voice contains a trace of death essence. It by itself is not harmful it just simply makes his voice sound more convincing and ominous, but there is only one way to be able to do it and that is to reach rank 5.

In other words, an angel understood that she could be squashed in an instant like a bug.
There is a reason why other gods do not attack or annoy the death gods, especially the stronger ones. The reason is that they are the only ones who can truly kill gods. When one of them dies, his or her body disintegrates only to be recreated later. However, those possessing this domain can irretrievably destroy them completely. Even if someone manages to kill a death god, it still means nothing because for them death is just another state of being, in other words, being dead for them is simply boredom and they will come back after a few millions of years. That's why others simply don't take any chances.
"Hey! Are you gonna stand there and think about it or are you gonna tell me what you want?"
"I-I have no bad intentions!"
She can't talk too well because of how frightened she is.
"You've said it before."
"I came because alliance named 'The Faith' have created a list of all the gods and as this is the new world I was sent to make a record of these here."
Her words make Amirel interested. He smiles slightly and that only makes Eli even more scared of him.
"The faith?"
He never heard of this and that makes him curious. His thirst for knowledge has still not disappeared.
"Yes. It's an organisation composed of many planets in this part of the galaxy. In order to prevent gods from becoming rogues that cause trouble every time a new planet gets properly established an organisation sends an angel to register gods of that new planet."
"And how do you want to do that?"
"I have this."
She takes out an orb from her bag.
"You have to touch this orb, and it will check and save your name, title and domain."
Amirel gets slightly suspicious. He leans down and stares at the orb trying to understand runes engraved on it to know its purpose. After a while, he unravels the mystery and confirms that it is the truth and puts his hand to the surface of the sphere.
It lighted up to indicate that the collection of information was successful.
"It's done. I'll go on to the next one."
After saying that she quickly opens a portal and jumps into it.
'I hope that the other two in this world are not as frightening as this one.'
She quickly looks at the information collected.
Name:
Amirel Rank: 1 Domain:
Death
Knowledge
'Two domains!?'
This is the first time she sees a rank 1 god with two domains. What she doesn't know is that amirel is an origin that is a higher tier of being than a god.
'I have to report this after I get back.'
After that, she starts looking around. she sees green plains full of flowers and grass. There is also a volcano a little bit further.
'Everything seems to be perfectly balanced.'
At this point, she notices some movement at the corner of her vision.
She turns in its direction and sees a gigantic serpent. Its left eye is red coloured while the right one is green. The snake is covered in white and black scales.
Delphyne seeing that he got her attention says,
"What's up?"
Eli only mumbles to herself.
'Fuck this...'

Blood Seekers -- The Monolith
Blood Seekers - Book 1, is now on Amazon, including the final chapters not posted here! https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B07MYJ5ZRC “You will die!” That's what the developers of Blood Seekers promised them... The most challenging MMO ever created—that’s how they advertised it. Taglines like, “Not your granddaddy’s game,” and, “Only for the hardest of the hardcore,” had gamers going crazy. Set in a gothic, Lovecraftian world, with fully realized A.I. NPCS, gamers were desperate to get their hands on the new game and dive in, and Clay was one of them. It was going to be tough, but he was ready for it. What he wasn’t ready for, was countless players having their minds hijacked and being transformed into mindless, hostile creatures filled with nothing but hate who killed anyone on sight. They called them the Bloodless. Clay’s best and only friend, Rey, moved across the country she was twelve, but they kept in touch online, playing countless games together, and when Blood Seekers was released, they were both ready to step up to the plate and face the new challenge together. But now, Rey has been taken by the plague, her mind held hostage as one of the Bloodless. A mysterious black monolith has appeared at the center of the highest level zone in the game, a place no one has even come close to. Some say it will provide us with answers. Others say it will only lead to more questions. Who’s behind all this? Why are people’s minds being taken? Will we ever get to bring them back? How many more will be lost if we stay logged in? Nothing is certain, but if there’s any chance that reaching the monolith will bring Rey back back, then Clay will do everything he can to reach it. This is Book 1 in a new series from Stephen Roark! I will be posting chapters here until the book is done and published on Amazon!
8 80The Emperor's Chef
"Cook like your life depends on it, kid. Because it does." Charles had an enviable future lined up for him. Training from the age of five by some of the finest chefs in the world. Schooling at a top culinary academy in the capital. An honorable position as heir to House Boulier, a line of merchant-lords who have charmed the rich and powerful with their cooking for centuries. And in a single night, it all burned to ash. When the outbreak of war destroys his hometown, Charles is charged with escorting his family’s sacred treasure—a recipe book passed down for untold generations—out of harm's way. But his simple mission grows complicated when he’s captured by one of the most feared battalions in the world: the Spears of Mercy. Life as a prisoner in their war camp is brutal and uncertain. Charles has few allies and even fewer strengths to rely on. Only his skills in the culinary arts, honed over a lifetime in the kitchen, are deemed useful enough to keep him alive another day. But he’s not out of hope just yet. With a dash of wit, a pinch of luck, and some very creative cooking, he might just find a way to recover his family’s legacy and take back his freedom. This project is a food-themed fantasy that centers on cooking and chefs. The setting spans a wide world featuring ingredients/recipes both real and inspired by traditional fantasy. I'll eventually be publishing it as a full-length novel (or series of novels depending on length). These are the first draft chapters. I'll likely be re-writing more than once, then editing before publishing, so impressions and feedback are quite welcome. If you like the story so far and you're interested in being an early reviewer for the final product, feel free to message me. I'm looking for an artist to make some concept art and a cover (the cover shown here is just a temporary placeholder). A stand-alone novel for now, but it may turn into a series down the road.
8 185What A Dream Wants
Crepitating lines of code fill the room, corrugating the world around him, and only he bends them. Seventeen muscles to smile and to pretend everything is okay, but the pertinacious wait will make every return more gratifying. Forgotten by everyone, was the price she had to pay. Died too many times trying to save one person. Still, she can't help but remember and do it again. He woke up too late. If he hadn't slept till now, then maybe everything wouldn't have been a mess. How could he be so stupid? Yet, out of them all, this is the one itinerary he chooses not to change. What a dream wants isn't what a sin desires. What i long for, will never come back to me. Characters come and go, but sometimes, words die out forever. I am a pretentious writer.
8 168Grey Worlds
A mysterious incident occurred on a otherwise normal science centered world where all of the children from the age range of eight to sixteen suddenly vanished. “Where have their kids gone and will they ever return?” The now childless parents never got to really ask that question, because a strange new element replaced their lost children. This element slowly mutated the various animals that they once ruled over with their technology to the point that they were immune to their modern weaponry. The barren land of savages on a continent far away from theirs also had their children taken, but they easily mutated just like the beasts and only grew stronger thanks to the incident. A revolution of animals eventually took place after the mutations started to cause the animals to understand just how badly the humans ruined their lives and planet. Humans were the slowest to figure out how to use this strange new element to evolve, while their opponents were evolving and growing stronger by the day they couldn’t even surpass their modern technology. When humanity was on the brink of extinction a long forgotten event finally ended and their children finally started to return from the various worlds they were summoned to! It turns out that the mysterious new element that they didn’t know what to call was mana and that it’s everywhere in some fantasy planets. The children brought back a increase in technology and techniques to grow stronger with, which caused the humans to finally be able to build safe havens for their race. They grew stronger and started to finally adapt to their brand new environment. This is the story of a orphan who was taken away from his world, before he could gain a sense of attachment to the world. Who only has his older sister to care about and how he ends up adapting to the new world in front of him.------------------Dog notes by doggo First 'five' chapters aren't what the story is really about and is more of a prologue. The reason why some are separated into parts is because Doggo originally posted them as a entire chapter. The main setting is Ghost's actual world and not any foreign world. So this story was already posted once to another site or this site three years ago… and Dog is finally ending that three year hiatus! The explanation on why Dog was on a three year hiatus would of been written in the review section, but rrl doesn't allow self reviews. I'd have to create a alt just to self review which they obviously don't want even tho I'd not give myself any stars so its going to be here instead. The update schedule is a chapter a week till Dog get a editor and then two chapters a week till Dog gets enough money to pay for Dog’s bills. The final goal is to release a chapter every other day. Dog writes 4k word chapters so they are about twice as long as some of the other authors so every other day is actually more like once a day. ------------------- The part that was supposed to be the 'review' which Dog wont bother editing out repeat infomation since it wasn't supposed to go here in the first place. The first thing Dog will go over is what changed for the first 5 chapters, so that anyone who still remembers Dog's little novel and wants to continue from where Dog originally left off can decide whether or not to reread it. Also Dog is moving over to qidan simply because dog like the app they have. Dog won't go premium even if Qidan tells dog to and will simply move back to royalroad or create a blog. The things that changed over the years are mainly two important things. The first is that Dog changed the first person point of view to a third person, because Dog read a really bad first person novel and it reminded dog of dogs own novel. Dog also changed the thoughts of the character to be - - instead of italics. Finally dog changed chapter 3 completely to make the mc not seem like a homicidal maniac and introduced a important character in chapter 3.What happened to do in the three years that dog was away? Was dog at college and now needs money to eat? Was dog off in space after successfully becoming a astronaut and has now returned home with a completed novel or two? The answer is actually quite plain dog graduated from highschool and was supposed to only spend a year at dogs owners house to choose what major dog wanted to go to college for.Dog didn't do that and is still stuck with dogs owners and is sick of being a neet. Dog wants to move and buy doggy food, but dog is antisocial and doesn't want to work a simple 9 to 5 job for the rest of dogs life. Dog is a reader before dog is a author and the reason why dog got into writing was because dog wanted to write a novel without all the things dog finds annoying. Dog spent the first year reading various novels and dropping various novels. Dog is all caught up and has to much free time on dogs paws. The first year that Dog took off was the very same year that qidan came out so dog was naturally overloaded with free chapters. But now that pemium exists dog naturally has to limit the amount dog can read. Dog is addicted to reading like my very own readers and can understand your frustrations for dog disappearing for 3 years.Dog decided that dog will go back to writing 2 years ago. Dog wanted a decent stockpile incase dog has any other emergency so dog didn't post for a year but then dog decided to change the point of view which took another year.Dog has a patreon page https://www.patreon.com/mclaindog but there isn't any tiers there or goals till dog gets a editor. My final goal is to release a chapter every other day, but as long as Dog gets a editor Dog will do two free chapters a week.Dog will probably also make a kofi for anyone who just wants to send dog a tip and can't afford to donate money monthly while maybe having bonus chapters if the tip jar gets filled.
