《My job and adventure as a Technomancer》Chapter 9. Promotion

Alduin strolled his way through the forest as he uses his radar programmed into his mask’s function. While slowly walking over to Slyphia’s and Elaria’s location, he could see many limbs lying across the grass and dirt. There were bodies that had numerous cuts on its body, especially the chest area, and the face was also not spared. He wonders what kind of skills did Slyphia used against them. These corpses would be hard to identify if need be by the enemy.
Blood was splattered everywhere while some of the corpses were still leaking out blood from their bodies. Many of these wounds were either through the heart or head, giving the target an almost guaranteed death. Though some seems to have a quicker death by decapitation. In other words, the green and peaceful, and lovely forest which used to housed the elves, is now covered with red. A truly gruesome sight to behold.
Not long after passing through the many dead victims, he sees the source and origin of the causes of these hundreds of deaths. She was currently holding her sword that had pierced through a man’s chest center and brought him up in mid-air. A slender girl with no visible muscles on her arm was able to carry this man’s weight with just an arm. Even more when it was carried onto a blade. It was like carrying a backpack filled with textbooks and holding it with your arm extended outwards.
Seeing Alduin, she pulled out the sword in the speed of light and sheathe her sword into her sheath.
“Is that the last of them Slyphia?”
Alduin asks as he looks around while using the radar to see any other nearby living beings.
“There is none, my Master.” She replied as she made a slight bow.
He nods his head, satisfied with her and her work.
“By the way, where is Elaria? Was she not with you?”
“Yes, but right now she is having a bit of an issue digesting this scene. Although I believe she may have the determination to get rid of these [humans], she couldn’t help, but throw up from this so called horrifying scene. Well, that is what she says anyway.”
“I see.”
Alduin spots a red dot not far from his direction. Strolling over there, he soon finds himself looking at Elaria, who was breathing heavily with her hands and knees on the floor. Near her was a disgusting puddle of vomit. Knowing a bit of her mental state right now, he decides he should first deal with how the forest is right now. Including his fight with the leader and his subordinates, the forest has pretty much been damaged greatly. Especially from his bullets shot out of the G-1.
‘Let’s see here.’
Opening up his creation box, he then uploads the droid he has been making an hour ago. He found a slightly faster method to recreate things he wanted, and that is to save it into a folder inside the creation box. Similar to a computer. Opening the file, he looks through some abilities we wants for the droid. Soon enough, he finds it. Adding it to the droid, he then tapped the create button.
His inventory pops up to him and took out the newly made droid. Alduin then gives it a command.
“Clean this place up.”
The droid immediately flew into the nearby dead bodies and began vaporizing them with red light and at the same time, remove the blood stains and the trees as it reversed time on the tree, making it recover in a way. The droid continues on repeating the same procedure, vaporize, remove, and reverse. Before long, the droid comes back, showing it had completed its job as there wasn’t anymore ‘cleaning up’ to do. It had only taken 10 minutes to get rid of 300+ bodies and Alduin had watched through half of the whole thing.

He leaned on a nearby tree and took out his android phone, and began reading a light novel his writing program made for him. Slyphia walked next to him and sat down, cleaning off the blood on her Master’s sword given to her.
After some time, Elaria recovered and went towards Alduin and Slyphia who were relaxing on a tree. As she came closer, Alduin notices her and put his android back into the inventory and corrected himself up. He brought out a vial which was the Elixir he had given to Elaria when she had fainted a day ago, and offered it to her. Even though it was just a day, he seems longer since there were many things taken place in just a few days.
Elaria looks at the Elixir with a puzzled face. She doesn’t know why Alduin is giving her such a powerful healing potion even though she isn’t at all injured in anyway, the Elixir had almost everything. Health, mana, stamina, limb recovery, and includes a couple of buffs like stamina, physical, sight, and reflex increase. For the reason why Alduin lend her the Elixir, was to get rid of the foil taste on her mouth. This was also for him since he, just like anyone, wouldn’t want to smell vomit, even if it was that of a beautiful young looking girl.Just plain horrible.
“This has cleaning effects.” Alduin stated simply as if he expected her to understand his intentions.
She titles her head, showing her confusion.
He sighs, “Hah, in other words, it is to wash your mouth.”
Elaria startled by this comment which she deemed pretty harsh, she reluctantly took the Elixir, brought the vial to her mouth, and gulped it down. Finishing it, her breath was now like the flavor of strawberries and bananas.
She gave him back the vial with a helpless expression, “You know, you shouldn’t say that to a girl.”
Alduin lifts up an eyebrow, but again, he was wearing the mask which he intends to wear forever if he wanted to be.
“Why shouldn’t I? If anything, I was helping keeping up your image. Especially when you just a few moments ago, vomited. Aren’t you suppose to be thanking me right now? I mean, when you get closer to your people, and they somehow smelled your breath...well, I guess shall leave that to your imagination.”
Hearing this, she couldn’t help but give a useless retort that holds nothing, “Yeah, but still, you can’t say that out straight to a girl.” it was a mutter which Alduin couldn’t hear since it was too soft.
Putting back the vial into his inventory,
“Well then, let’s free some captured elves I guess.”
Since the droids earlier had already scouted the forest, and in addition with Alduin’s Radar, they had no trouble finding where the elves were at. They were quite nearby. The humans protecting or, safekeeping the elves had already died from Slyphia’s massacre through different areas. Even though there used to be lots of blood everywhere which the droid what already cleaned up, she didn’t have any of it on her clothes.
---
Since Alduin doesn’t particularly like combat after experiencing it ‘for real’ once, he decided to go to his companion’s icon and change Slyphia’s Assassin level 7 to lvl 10. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration if he was played around by Krox for a little while as he tried to ‘experience’ combat.
Now Slyphia’s status looks like this.
Name: Slyphia
TItle: Assassin Emperor, Alduin’s faithful servant
Advertisement
Job: Assassin
Class Level: 10
Strength: 17023
Intelligence: 15642
Agility: 13406
Vitality: 12950
Dexterity: 15934
Staring at his servant's stats which he was slightly astonished by the fact Slyphia had attained the Assassin God title, the stats such as strength doesn’t give him no mind. Although her class level has supposedly reached max, he discovered there wasn’t an X mark. Alduin assumed an X mark is like a title, showing how they reached the maximum potential of their class, but there was none on hers. However, he didn’t put too much thought on it since he absolutely had no clue to what the X mark means. To the very least, he knows it might as well surpass [lvl10] just like the other bugs in his skills.
Since Slyphia was now pretty much an [Emperor], in which he believes is a strong title, he decided to make an equippable ring for his servant. This again was precaution. Although he believed Slyphia would not betray him, it is better to think of the possibilities. Alduin had no clue what sort of abilities she had. He had access to her status, but her skills doesn’t seem to be an option for him to explore as there was never such an option in the first place. Making another ring, he decided on opal for the jewelry. Adding dozens and dozens of defence passives such as mental attack immunity, mind control immunity, complete elemental immunity and more, he then tapped the create button and took out the opal ring in his inventory. He wouldn’t want his servant to be controlled and manipulated by outside forces.
Alduin looks at Slyphia ,who for some odd reason, seems to be trying to hold back a smile as she looks at him for who knows how long before he turned towards her. He gestured her to come to him.
Slyphia, noticing this, hastily got herself out of her daze and walked over to Alduin. He brought out his closed hand towards her, telling her to open her hands. She then did so and what her Master had drop was an opal ring.
“Slyphia, wear this ring and never take it off. Well, you probably couldn’t take it off anyways, but just wear it. This is pretty much protection against various things.”
As Slyphia puts it onto her left ring finger, she stops walking in which Alduin also stops as it was a bit unusual for her to do this. Elaria who was beside them was impatient to go to her kin, but she decides to wait for the 2. Mostly, it would be rude to her benefactors if she left them.
Slyphia made a deep bow with a bit of red coming from her cheeks.
“You have my sincerest thanks, my master.”
---------
Slyphia was currently walking to the caged elves nearby along with her Master and Elaria. After Elaria sees her kin in several iron cages, she quickly ran towards them and attempts to tear out the iron cages. However, there is seems to be a shield or barrier that doesn’t seem to allow her to break the cage. Her master then comes forward and brought out a hilt with no sword on it, but after clicking some sort of button on the hilt, a red beam of light erected itself from the hilt. (lightsaber)
He then comes towards the cage and swung down the light beam on the cage which completely destroys the barrier and also the cage at the same time. Elaria at first was startled from this sudden action, but after seeing the results she again relaxes.
Currently, Slyphia wasn’t thinking about the elves. Right now, she was shaking from joy for her master. She was acknowledged by her God. Just a few moments ago, she felt a sudden change in her. She felt astonishing and overwhelming power that filled up her very being. The only person who had control over her powers and abilities was her Master, Alduin. He could decide she could be weak or strong on a whim if he so desires. When that sudden power filling her up, she can feel herself with much more power than ever before. Her arms and legs felt like they could run at maximum speed without a trouble. Her strength, despite the size of her delicate, slender arms, could destroy anything with the usage of her Master’s personally created sword.
Unknown to Alduin, to Slyphia, if she ranks up, which means her class level, then it means that he recognizes her as a useful servant. She felt so much joy when her Master did it. It is sort of like a promotion. Along with to ring given to her by her Master, she couldn’t help but feel delighted when he told her it was for her protection.
Even right as of now where the elves were coming out of the cages and binds, she had to restrain herself from running around the forest dozens of times. If she did it, she fears her God would feel upset and embarassed over her behavior.
After what seems like eternity for her, which was only 2 minutes in real time, she finally calms herself down.
“Lord Alduin, Lady Slyphia, we are forever grateful for what you have done for us. If there is anything that you may require of us, please do tell. Even if it may seem impossible, we will do our best to repay this debt.”
Elaria was currently bowing down deeply to her Master. Some of Elaria’s people were still confused of what’s going on since only one day has past, along with losing many of their family members and in addition, being played around with by their capturers. It was a only a day, but a harsh and cruel one of that.
Another elf decided to step up and bows down to her master and her.
“Even though I had not seen it for myself, considering it is Elaria, she wouldn’t lie over something like this...I also want to thank you.”
One by one they began thanking both her and her Master. Although most have no clue what had just happened to them, they are still thankful for the fact they hadn’t been captured and sold as slaves. Afterall, to them, all they heard was a speech the leader of the hundred group of men shouted and after that screams were heard. They also saw a black blur in front of them and the humans who were safeguarding them had their heads detached, and falling of their bodies. It was very fast and sudden so they weren’t exactly sure what was transpiring around them.
After the long formal gratitude event is over, Alduin and Slyphia waved their hands in farewell to continue on their journey. It seems their village wasn’t to far from their present location and even though their houses were pretty much destroyed and looted, all they need is the forest to be in good condition to live. Elaria kept saying “Thank You” towards Slyphia and Alduin after trying to give Alduin back the ring he had given her. Honestly, Alduin almost forgot about the ring. To him, it was just another ring with a few effects compared to his own which had already had hundreds.
Alduin tells her to keep the ring, saying it was just a useless item to him. Which is actually true when he already had such abilities in his own ring, thus making that ring worthless to him. Elaria wanted to say something, but was interrupted by him.
“Just consider it a debt towards me. One for freeing your kin, and second for that ring. It would not do if I knew saving your village, which I personally bothered to do it, was later again captured. Again, just think of it as a debt. I might come back to reclaim that debt in the near future if I have a necessity for it.”
Another reason why Alduin lets her keep that ring, is because it would help that village. He was looking through the elves, especially the women and it helps the eyes. Although there wasn’t any lust behind that gaze. Just a small, little joy.
Also, since he even used his time to help Elaria’s kin, he wants to make sure it was at least worth it. Like making a piece for your ceramics class, but after all the hard work put onto it, it was later accidentally destroyed by another person. Same concept for this matter.
The elves soon said there last farewells to the 2 as they returned to where their plundered village was and used the leftover goods from the dead members of Floradial to help recover their homes.
‘Well, they should be fine, probably.’ Alduin thought
Which was now a bit farther away because of their detour, Alduin and his servant relaxingly continued their journey to the nearby Kingdom. Afterall, they have all the time in the world.
--------------
News in Floradial spreads like wildfire.
Krox Jaybon was currently recovering from his threatening injuries. His skin was blackened while he had some trouble breathing. This was caused by Alduin’s G-1 bullet which had the effects of poison and death along with the active: Explosion. It dealt fatal wounds to him and if it wasn’t for his [defence] and Will to live, he would’ve already died. Also, he was only mostly affected by the Poison V and Burn V from the bullet. The Death V was countered by another Relic Artifact from ancient times which he wear as an amulet. It had the effect to negate all instant death effects, but in return, takes a certain percentage of the person’s life force in exchange. It is known that for highly capable and potential members, they are given a few found artifacts. Mostly to protect future assets in the organization.
Alduin had shot him a couple of times, so his (health) was in a dangerous area and needed many healers to tend to him. The fact that only Krox had teleported to HQ, it means the mission was probably a failure. Of course, this spread throughout the Floradial organization. The group which were suppose to capture some elves had utterly failed and even more, when Krox had alone, teleported here. It was quite obvious what had transpired. Most likely, a 3rd party had interfered with them, and also probably caused many of their members to lose their lives.
While Krox was recovering in the medical room inside Floradial HQ, 4 people can be seen heading towards it. All of the members passing by, bowed towards the top as they were the founders of Floradial.
“So? What to you guys think of this incident? Does it not intrigue you? Who in their right minds would go against us?”
“It did catch my interest, but considering the fact they did this means they at least have some significant power and influence. Who else would have the courage to stand up to us?”
“I agree and I suspect it may as well be this Kingdom we are residing in. Afterall, we had taken many of their recruits in the military aspect. Since we have more pleasing benefits in our group, the recruitment were more leaning to us than to them.”
The Kingdom of Kloara. The place where Floradial HQ chose to reside. It has already been said the reason they decided it there is because that Kingdom had an increase of military assets and figures. So they chose to give an option towards these figures by giving them the benefits of their organization. Initially, it went slow, but it began to exponentially increase and their influence also as well. At first the government officials and leaders didn’t put too much thought on this; however, there has been a noticeable huge decrease in the percentage of the recruitment in their military.
The military gives wages depending on how strong the recruits are. If strong, they get a good amount of pay. If weak, well, they may get slightly lower than decent pay since they could at least be cannon fodder. It was obvious which group graduated students from the combatant and general academy wants to join. So from 65% of the graduates joining the military of Kloara, it went down to 40% over the past years. It was a huge difference.
The King wants to do something about this, but Floradial was located right in the Kingdom. If they decide to war against them, the country might as well be a full-time war zone. There will be no resting areas and no safe spots. So the option in exterminating them is out of the option. If only if Floradial decides to obey the King, then it wouldn’t have become so much of a problem. However, the top 10 of that organization, believed they were possibly higher than the King. It was known the King of Kloara, Jaximon I, was an extremely powerful man in terms of combat. If he was to be measured in Class level for Alduin’s sake, it would be just the same as Slyphia’s former level. Level 7. For his class, it was one of the most strongest military classes, the Warlord.
Anyways, the King had some difficulties with Floradial which was pretty much a Kingdom in itself, so he tries to send in a couple of squads to gain information from Floradial and assassinate their parties as they are on a job.
This was soon discovered later on by Floradial somehow and since then the enmity was very rough between the Kingdom and them.
“Well, we shouldn’t immediately assume it may be the scheme of that damn King, but it may be possible.”
“Let’s first find some answers from Krox Jaybon. I heard he was the one who had pretty high potential. Will we not consider adding him to that party?”
“Get your priorities straight, right now we need some answers from him before thinking about anything else. The information he has could change the actions we would be taking from now on. Yo-.”
“Yes,yes, I should be more patient, I know. I heard it too many times and I don’t particularly want to hear it again.”
With that, they entered Krox Jaybon’s room.

Absolute Power of the Imagination
(Hello this is a story that I'm making and is basically just my fantasy of what it would be like to be a human with god-like powers and the MC is going to have my personality so you are reading some of my desires.) Everyone has at least once thought what it would it would be like to be GOD but only so many people have actually thought about it deeply and this story is going to be through my thoughts as what it would be like to be a god-like being that was once human (because it would be no fun to read or write what it would be like to be GOD since there are no obstacles as the definition of GOD.) (I'm writing this because my new favorite novel "Michael Ammers: My OP leisure life" has been dropped or is on a really long hiatus.
