-Foreword-
For the story's sake, Shalltear won't always kill everything in her way. I will try to not make her too much out of character, but I can't let her just drain everyone out of blood in Orario. The story would be short... and tragic.
I would like some constructive criticism about my work as well. I always appreciate the support.
Enjoy reading my fanfic and don't be too harsh on me. Thank you!

Chapter 1 – The Dungeon Is Not Beautiful At All
After 12 years of existence, the YGGDRASIL servers will shut down.
The Great Tomb of Nazarick is the guild headquarters of Ainz Ooal Gown, widely renowned for being an unconquerable dungeon throughout YGGDRASIL and will soon become a relic of the past.
Wandering through the first three floors is Shalltear Bloodfallen, one of the strongest NPCs in Nazarick. She had the appearance of a fourteen-year-old girl and could only be described as a true beauty. She has a pale skin with crimson red eyes and fine facial features. Her silver hairs are tied in a ponytail through a large ribbon on top of it all, allowing anyone to see a full view of her face.
Shalltear is of the [True Vampire] race but looks quite different. True vampires are monstrous undead with very few human qualities. Among the most creepy-looking vampires of YGGDRASIL, true vampires are even uglier than the others. They look like a horrible mix of bat and human. Shalltear's beautiful appearance is just a result of customization by her creator.
She was wearing a soft black dress with a big heavy skirt. Her upper body is dressed in a lace embellished ribbon and a short-tailored jacket.
She obviously had no idea that YGGDRASIL, her native world, was ending but her master and leader of the supreme beings, Momonga-sama seemed very sad when he came to see her earlier.
[23:59:30]
Thinking back on it, the vampire wanted to comfort her beloved master, but she just stared at him instead. She will have to apologize to him later.
[23:59:45]
Why did she not do anything? Her master was in pain and she simply let him be. What if he were to leave her and the other denizens of Nazarick as a result?
[23:59:55]
She'd do literally anything that could help cheer his mood, but she didn't know exactly what could...

[00:00:00]
At midnight, a bright light struck and surrounded the vampire. She instinctively covered her eyes as to not get blinded by it.
'An enemy attack?'
Shalltear had no idea how anyone could manage to sneak in on her without triggering Nazarick's defences before, but now that she has been attacked, she had to retaliate quickly as it was her duty to keep those floors safe from threats.
She changed into her blood-colored full plate armor with a pair of wings, equipped her Spuit Lance, and put on her various items given to her by her beautiful creator, Lord Peroroncino.
The bright light around Shalltear dimmed and then vanished.
Finally, free from this blinding sight, she looked at her surroundings. She seemed to be in an underground passageway, or some kind of cave. There were a few coloured crystals that emitted a dim light on the walls and ceiling, but the cave remained dark. Fortunately for Shalltear, this was not a big problem. With her night vision on, her eyes started glowing crimson red. The cave was too bland to be a part of the holy realm that is the Great Tomb of Nazarick.
More than bland, it was revolting! The walls were sprayed in blood and moss was everywhere around the cave. Shalltear pinched her nose from this horrid smell. She could not tolerate to stay in a sick place like this!
Indeed, this place did not look like anywhere within Nazarick! There did not seem to be any dangerous entities nearby. Did the intruders teleport her away to this strange place? Then, there might be enemies still hiding to catch her off guard. She was a guardian of the Great Tomb of Nazarick afterall... Showing a weakness is intolerable.
Her objective should be to quickly return to Nazarick, but she couldn't teleport directly the tomb due to security. Luckily, she knows places near her home. She had visited the swamps that surrounded the Great Tomb of Nazarick quite a few times already along with Lord Peroronchino.
At the thought of her creator, the vampire smiled. She really missed her beautiful lord and creator though... But now isn't the time for that. She had to go back to her duties, eliminate the threat at all cost and apologize to Lord Momonga for the inconvenience.
"[Gate]"
A black oval shaped hole suddenly appeared and quickly shut itself.
"W-why is it not working!" Shalltear exclaimed. Now she was scared. If this didn't work, then she was in deep trouble.
"[Gate], [Gate], [Gate], [Gate], [Gate]!"
She casted the gate spell over and over...
And every time, the gate appeared and closed in on itself without letting anything enter it. For the first time in her life, or unlife in that case, Shalltear felt like she was sweating heavily due to the stressful situation she was in. She had no way to teleport anywhere close to Nazarick! That was very bad!
"O-okay, c-calm down Shalltear... Everything will be fine..."
Once she seemed to have calmed herself down a little bit, she examined her surroundings once more. She was in a strange and not beautiful looking underground passageway.
While wondering where exactly she was, Shalltear began moving forward, turning some corners, and choosing new paths. The cave seemed like an underground labyrinth. If that were the case, could she have been teleported in the enemy guild base?
She kept walking forward until she sensed something creeping close behind her back.
*Splash*
She turned at the speed of light to slay whatever individual or creature that tried to sneak in on her. Looking at the corpse, it looked like a dark humanoid monster that had long arms with three claws that are sharp like knives.
It made her recall the shadow demons. Shadow demons can hide their presence quite easily. Could it be that this was how it sneaked in on her? Because Shalltear should be supposed to sense anything that gets near her unless they have ranger or ninja skills.
But this one seemed strange... It was as if it decided to reveal its presence before striking and it was as if it came out of the walls. That's quite weird. She didn't recall shadow demons being able to phase through walls at all.
She kept on moving forward either way, unsure of where to go to leave this sick underground cavern.
Still, she had to remain vigilant; the enemy might be waiting for her to lower her guard, and strike at that moment. She couldn't afford to stand easy when sent into an unknown environment against her will.
Turning a corner, she saw a dead end. Nothing special except that at the end of the hallway, lay a chest.
'Should I go for it? No. It's obviously a trap.'
Shalltear told herself those words but began moving forward anyways. She was way too curious of what would happen if she were to open the chest to stop herself from opening it.
It was simply curiosity that made her move closer and closer to the chest. But if it would make the enemy reveal itself, then good. Even if it wasn't a trap, she doubted that there could be any weapon or item of enough value for her in there, but there might still be a clue as to how to leave this disgusting cavern.
Once in proximity to the chest, she bent forward in her blood coloured armour and lifted the chest's opening. What seemed to be inside was-
"A frog?!" Shalltear exclaimed in surprise. It was a giant frog with one large red eye that glowed in the dark, just like hers.
While Shalltear wasn't sure if this was supposed to be an enemy, the one-eyed frog used her reaction as a commotion to shoot out its tongue at the vampire.
*Splash*
The vampire dodged its tongue and pierced it with her Spuit Lance, bearing a bored look on her face.
'What an easy to kill monster...'
Everything in this cave is so weak that it annoyed her. She had trouble staying awake and ready to fight the enemy that could be following her. Was this what they were trying to accomplish? Were they waiting for her to lower her guard and then strike at that moment? Either way, she couldn't allow herself to lower her guard further, even if it was difficult against such boring creatures.
"GRRRRR!"
Shalltear was caught once more by surprise thanks to a monster that she didn't sense coming her way. Very strange... It was as if monsters came out of the walls... Turning back, she saw a big bear with red glowing eyes similar to her vampire night vision.
The bear blocked the way back out of the dead end.
Launching himself towards the vampire, he thrust his hands in the hair, ready to strike once within range and let out a roar.
"RAAAA-"
*Splash*
The bear monster did not have time to finish his roar when he felt something piercing through him. The vampire had slayed it with ease and at such speed that the bear could not even know what was going on before hitting the ground.
*Thud*
"What a weak creature..." Shalltear muttered to herself looking at the bear's corpse hitting the ground.
Right after saying this, white rabbits with red glowing eyes emerged from the walls.
... And all of them were ripped apart in mid air. Not a single one of them managed to hit their target. Those beasts could not even be considered a threat to Shalltear.
So that ambush confirmed that monsters came out of the walls, despite that it still didn't explain how they were doing it. She would have to remain diligent about that. The enemies could very well use these walls to their advantage.
She looked down at the monster rabbits that she just encountered.
'What even are those... things.' Shalltear thought.
Being someone that value beauty a lot made her disgusted in those vile creatures that tried to jump on her without knowing what kind of doom they were going up against.
The fact that she was ambushed by so many monsters in a dead end made her think that this still was some kind of trap set up by the enemy along with the trapped chest. Yet, it was still a trap that was ridiculously easy to counter due to the monsters' lack of any fighting power. What was the point in sending in those beasts if they wouldn't even be able to land an attack on her?
There was still one thing that bothered her; what was up with those disgusting creatures' eyes? All of them glowed red as if it was some kind of mind control magic that makes them go berserk on anyone.
Her eyes also glowed red in the dark, but it wasn't because she was being mind controlled, it was simply her vampire night vision. The thought of being associated with mindless fodder made her quite annoyed.
She wasn't the brightest NPC in Nazarick, but thinking back on her current situation, she knew that something was wrong. She had been teleported to a cave-like labyrinth faraway from her home that is filled with berserk monsters she had not seen before in her unlife.
Anger and frustration were what the vampire currently felt. The anger boiling within her released enough bloodlust to scare off any other monster that got too close to her. Did that mean even when somehow mind controlled, those beasts could feel fear?
She had no idea what to do about her current situation and that is what angered her the most. The [Gate] spell did not work, and she had no way out. This labyrinth was like a big puzzle that was beyond Shalltear's cognitive abilities.
The vampire did not know for how long she had been standing lost in thought in this dead end, staring at the walls in confusion, but it was clear that having a simple mind won't help her getting out of here.
To relieve some of her current stress, Shalltear decided that it would be best to blow up the entire cave and find a way out using that method until-
"Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"
The voice of someone screaming got closer and closer to her.
Because of her curiosity, the vampire decided to put her destruction project on hold and wait for the individual to come nearer. If said person was capable of intelligent thoughts, then he might be able to tell her how to get out of here. Or else, she could force him to do so with the 4th tier spell [Charm Species].
The person's footsteps drew nearer and then ran into the same dead end that Shalltear was caught in.
The footsteps belonged to a cute white-haired kid that couldn't be older than fourteen years old. In terms of appearance, Shalltear and the kid both looked to be of the same age. His only protection was a metal plate on his chest, and he had a broken shortsword in his hand that he must've broke while facing the monster running right behind him.
The monster running close behind him was some kind of beastman with red glowing eyes. Seriously, what was up with the red glowing eyes? The boy also had red eyes but at least his didn't glow. That meant that whatever effect was on the monsters, the kid wasn't affected. It was surprising to see that a human had red eyes despite clearly not being a vampire. Were humans with red eyes a common thing in whatever hellhole she had been directed to?
The kid was still running up to her. Did he not notice her eyes? Shouldn't Shalltear be considered one of those abominations because she has the very same characteristics those monsters had all in common?
As a vampire, she loved tormenting humans and the sight of the kid, being chased by a bull was a quite pleasing sight.
'Still, if I want information on where I am and what is up with the red eyed creatures, it might be good to keep the kid alive.'
As the boy went past Shalltear without even looking at her, she snapped out of her thoughts.
She looked back at the kid who was stuck in the dead end and looked at Shalltear in fear. She had an impressive armour and weapon afterall. It would be obvious to anyone that she was stronger and more experienced in fighting.
She didn't blame the kid at all for recognizing her as a creation of the divine, but if she was being antagonized, then that proved her glowing red eye theory correct. She felt disgusted to be compared to these creatures. Afterall, she was a very lovable monster.
Shalltear sighed and turned back to face the bull monster.
With speeds far faster than what the normal human eye could see, Shalltear launched herself forward at the bull. Without giving it the time to retaliate, she sliced the beast in half with her Spuit Lance.
She felt a deep pleasure as a rain of blood came out of the beast. As a vampire, she found the greatest pleasures in blood. Taking that much at once could make her go into a blood frenzy if it wasn't for the armour that protected her against such drawbacks of getting soaked in blood. A blood frenzy would certainly make her go berserk and that is not the best course of action when wanting basic information from a weak little human.
Shalltear turned back and faced the cute boy who did not have an armour that absorbed blood and got soaked in the beast's blood from head to toe. When he took in her beautiful facial feature, he immediately turned his gaze away, blushing, but remained shaking in fear.
That was only to be expected. She was a creation of the supreme beings afterall. Anyone should be mesmerized by her beauty for it is the work of superior beings to the rest of the universe. Being afraid of such divine entity is also a valid option
And then Shalltear's sexual desires made her think of the many things she could've done to him. Shame he was a boy, though he did look kind of like a girl. It might be fine if he were to cross-dress after being turned into a vampire servant-
'Wait! This isn't the time for silly daydreaming!'
After snapping out of her inappropriate thoughts that had nothing to do with her current situation, Shalltear straightened her back and took a stance that suggested superiority before speaking to the human child.
"My, my~. You were quite in the predicament~ before I came in and saved you~." She casually said in a playful tone before hesitantly continuing: "Are you alright?" She said through gritted teeth.
Never in her life would she have believed to ever need to show concern for a lowly human. Yet, this act was necessary to ensure the boy's collaboration in getting information since she knew nothing of the place as to get out.
Again, she could've used the spell [Charm Species], but it would be unnecessary if the boy were to give her the information anyway.
Yet, instead of responding, the boy, covered in blood, backed away, got up and ran away from the vampire all the while screaming.
Shalltear giggled. Seeing weaklings running away from her is always quite a pleasing sight.
'How can he scream so much? Is it a skill that allows him to boost his physical strength the longer he screams?'
Lost in her contemplation, the boy got away. However, that would be practically nothing to Shalltear who could catch up to him very quickly if she wanted to do so.
She knew the reason of his screaming and quick departure.
Shalltear was a vampire, and this was a poorly lighted cave-like dungeon. A vampire's eyes glow crimson red when in the dark, just like all the other crazy monsters in this stupid labyrinth. Of course, the kid would run for his life after meeting a monster that easily killed another monster that could kill him easily.
'What should I do now? He didn't go very far, and I could catch up to him quickly. Although I wanted to blow up this underground labyrinth, I think I calmed down enough to-'
"WAAHAAHAAAHAA! THAT BOY WAS PATHETIC! AIS, DID YOU SEE THAT?" Shalltear made a small jump of surprise as she wasn't expecting anyone else. It seems that two other humans saw the boy running away.
The cute boy was long gone and there were two pairs of footsteps nearing the corner of the corridor. If they saw her eyes, they would either run away or foolishly try to kill her. In both cases, she wouldn't get the information that she needed to get out of this dungeon. She wasn't used to deal with humans. Usually, she just killed anyone that entered her floors in Nazarick.
Quickly looking through her inventory, she found a magical ring that would hide her vampire traits skill-wise. Perfect. While lacking part of her skills, she doubted that it would be a problem and it will allow her eyes to stop glowing. They would still be red, but if the boy from earlier also had red eyes, then that would not be a problem.
Shalltear had barely had time to put the Hide Undead Abilities Ring on until the two newcomers turned the corner and walked towards her.
"HE GOT ENTIRELY COVERED IN BLOOD, SO I THINK I'LL CALL HIM TOMATO BOY! HAHAHAHA!" The young man that was walking towards her while laughing looked quite... strange.
While her night vision was off because of the ring, she could still make out a few details. The man had gray hair and a blue tattoo on the left side of his face. His muscular physique could easily be seen because the jacket he was wearing. It was so small that it could have belonged to a child. While opened, the jacket showed the man's abs.
Yet, that wasn't what was the strangest feature on him. The man had animal ears on the top of his head along with a tail hanging from his arse.
Those features reminded her of the characters in the sacred texts Lord Peroronchino gave her. It's a shame that he's a man. Perhaps there exists more cute animal girls outside of this stupid dungeon? If so, she'd definitely try to bring some of these animal girls over to her harem in Nazarick after converting them into vampire brides-
'No! Now is not the time for this! I need to find my way out and go back home... The animal girls can wait their turn.'
She then looked at the young woman that accompanied the man. She seemed calmed and composed, the direct opposite of the man. She was a very beautiful woman, not beyond the human realm like Shalltear, but beautiful, nonetheless. She had golden hair, golden eyes, and a slender body. She is wearing a white and black battle cloth with blue booths and a sword on her back.
It was definite.
She had to eventually bring this woman into her harem in Nazarick and transform her into a vampire bride. She was simply too beautiful for Shalltear to let go. But that could wait for later. Right now, she needed to find her way out.
She had to properly greet the approaching figures. They didn't seem scared of her at all. This meant that the Remove Undead Abilities Ring worked! She did not have the facial features of a vampire anymore. Her eyes were still red but didn't glow and her fangs became invisible. Yet, with her red eyes along with her skin remaining very pale, she still looked a lot like a vampire.
Her night vision was off, and she realised that the cave was very dark. Those crystals on the ceiling did help seeing where one was going, but that was pretty much it. The two humans in front of her probably won't even realise that she is a vampire.
She will properly greet them like someone of superior standing would-
"H-hi." Was all Shalltear could think of saying to the woman she got a crush on. She felt embarrassed that she lost her cool while talking with humans. The man was currently busy laughing very hard at the kid she saved earlier. She had to agree that the boy was quite comical. She would've laughed at it too if it wasn't for the very stressful situation that she found herself in with seemingly no answer.
"Hi." The beauty with the sword answered back. It seemed like the two of them didn't feel like doing small talk at the moment, or perhaps that was how the swordswoman usually was? It wasn't until a few seconds of silence between the two of them that she bowed and said: "We must apologize for the trouble we've caused you. The minotaurs were not supposed to roam throughout these floors. We scared them on the lower floors, so it was our mistake."
'Floors?! Just how big is this dungeon?!'
"Ah-eh it's fine... I dealt with it easily." Shalltear replied, looking away from the woman in the hopes of calming down her desires. She was also confused by how a monster she considered fodder was treated as some kind of dangerous monster.
'Ah! Humans are so weak...That must be it!'
"Oy! Which familia are you from? Slaying a level 2 monster like that is quite impressive." The man with animal ears and a tail had finally cooled down and arrogantly asked Shalltear. His question, however, seemed to confuse her even more.
'Familia? Level 2? Sure, that monster was quite weak, but I wouldn't call that level 2. More like around level 15-20.'
"And what is a familia~?" She asked. The other two raised their brows. Her question must've been asking for something obvious.
She hated it.
She was giving away the fact that she was a foreigner. At least, they probably won't recognize her being a vampire thanks to the lack of lighting in the cave.
"A familia... You know, like the god that gives you the blessing!" The young man said, clearly finding Shalltear's ignorance very funny while her newest crush remained silent, eyeing her suspiciously. Shalltear wasn't sure if the girl was scared of her and noticed that she was not human, or it was something else entirely.
Shalltear seemed to ponder over the question for a moment. 'A god that gave me the blessing... Oh I see! That would be-'
"Peroronchino-sama gave me the blessing!" Shalltear exclaimed in pride. She was proud of her creator and would happily boast about him anytime. Hearing the name of her god, she was almost certain that these two will immediately prostate before her in fear. Then, she could kill the animal man and add the swordswoman to her harem in Nazarick.
"Peroronchino? Never heard of that name. Have you Ais?" The woman, supposedly named Ais, shook her head as if to say no.
Shalltear was at first shocked and then furious that these two didn't give a care in the world about her creator, her god, but tried to hold her feelings inside for the moment. She could not show those emotions in front of humans. They had to see that Shalltear was flawless, unlike them and their pitiful existence.
As long as she had no idea where she had been transported to, she would have to endure the people slandering her creator's name. The other reason being that she couldn't get her newest crush, named Ais, if she was already dead.
"Do you happen~ to know which way is the exit to the dungeon~?" Shalltear asked the two humans in front of her, trying her best to sound calm and composed. She tried not to shout this sentence out to relieve her current indignation hearing their ignorance about the supreme beings. She was in a dungeon, that she knew, but every dungeon has an exit. At least she thinks so.
"Umph. You got lost on the fifth floor? Just follow the tomato boy's blood trail; he's going in the right direction." The young man said nonchalantly.
"Mkay~." Shalltear told the man just before taking off and running, following the blood trail.
'Fifth floor? Okay... So, does that mean I'm pretty far down in this dungeon or the floors are not as big as those in Nazarick? Probably the latter.'
