Menlyn shut her door, today had been a very long day, she was glad that Cole was gone and now she could focus on her work but why did her own words feel as if she was lying?

She shook her head, she carried on with her work and when she saw it was late, she decided to call it a night.

When Sunday came she did a bit more work as she usually rested but as Cole had distracted her for the whole day she had some work to finish off.

When Monday comes she is well-rested and ready to take on the day. She walks out front and Maya is waiting for her.

When she gets to work, she goes up to her office. She starts to work and by lunchtime, she is not sure if she can keep going.

This was not like her to be this tired and lose focus so easily, she needed a breather and a booster drink.

She grabbed a ginger booster drink and she headed out to the rooftop area that was for staff, she got there and was glad that no one was there.

She sat down on the rooftop padded area as she sipped on her drink, the air felt amazing on her face.

She sighed as she looked up at the clouds, how long had it been since she had a break from her office. It was a beautiful day and the clouds were very nice.

“What are the chances I would find you here?”

Menlyn turned to the voice and saw that it was Cole who seemed to beam at her sight, she sighed and turned back to her scenery.

He sat next to her, “You look tired.”

Menlyn just nodded,

“You shouldn’t have worked when I left,” Cole added.

“I had no choice, I had barely done anything on Saturday.”

Cole raised his hand and pressed it on her head.

“What are you doing Cole?”

“You are having a fever,”

Menlyn shook her head, “No I’m fine.”

Cole didn’t argue with her and he put his hand down, she wondered if he had fallen asleep she turned to his side and saw that he was gazing at her.

Menlyn turned back fast when she caught his eye, “Is it a habit of yours to stare at your co-workers.”

Cole laughed a bit, “No, just you.”

“So you are not going to try even deny it?” Menlyn replied.

“Nope, it’s not like it’s a secret.”

“What is not a secret?” Menlyn replied confused at his words.

“That I……………..”

“Birthia is that you?”

Menlyn turned to the voices that were there, and she saw it was Chane, Ally, and Molly. When was the last time she had seen them?

Yes she recalled, it was at the team building and now everyone was here ruining her peace and silence.

Yet oddly enough she didn’t mind seeing them, it would be better than it being just her and Cole. They sat down next to them and Chane wedged herself between her and Cole.

Menlyn moved over to Ally and Holly as there was no way that the three would sit comfortably. She saw that Cole looked disappointed at her moving.
