Menlyn Jumped, she wasn't expecting to see Cole there. And that damned name, that wasn't her.

Keep calm, how was she going to get rid of him? He was so young and persistent. Menlyn never liked guys younger than her.

She wasn't about to become his sugar mama or whatever, she didn't have the time and energy to fight with younger femlaes who wanted him.

"What do you want?"

"I wanted to see you." Cole replied with a smile on his face.

"But did it occur to you that I might not want to see you."

Cole blinked at her words, as if he was taking them in. "You don't want to see me because of what happened between us this afternoon. That there might be more..."

Menlyn cut him off before he went any further, "If you think that there is anything between us Cole is it? Then you might be more delusional than I thought you were. Get that fairy tale off your head, and grow up."

Cole nodded, "Is it wrong for me to li.."

"As I said Cole, I don't care. I'm busy and don't have time to be slacking off with children that are happy go lucky."

"That's not true." Cole replied firmly.

"Whatever, I don't care what is and what is not but what I'm sure of is that I want you to leave me alone."

"I'm sorry Birthia."

"For what?" Menlyn replied.

"It's obvious that I made you mad."

"I'm not mad, I just want to be left alone."

"Do you have a boyfriend?" Cole replied, dodging her words.

"That's none of your business, my private life is none of your concern. And whilst we at it, I don't date younger guys."

"Then why did you kiss me Birthia?"

"That was a huge mistake that shouldn't have happened at all and I take full responsibility for it."

"Mistake? That was all that I was to you?"

Menlyn studied Cole, he seemed to be truly hurt by her words, and she didn't care. He was young and he would get over it. She didn't have time for tears when her empire awaited.

"Yes, Cole it was a huge mistake, and last thing I don't date guys that are younger than me. Ever."

With that Menlyn walked away and she pulled out her phone and told her driver to come around the corner where Cole couldn't see her.
