《The Superhero Crafter》Chapter Five Part Two Peace

Clyde said, "that was Cardiff we flew over, not Ipswich, you don't know your geography!"
Ocandu retaliated with, "Is too."
Clyde said, "we're approaching from the west!"
Ocandu said, "are not."
Surita jumped in with, "will you two just shut up. Trust EIS to get us there. EIS don't you dare tell them which one is right."
EIS asked, "why not?"
Surita said, "that would start a war I don't want to deal with, it wouldn't stop the fight, just switch it to who you like better."
I was preoccupied with returning to my Earth. I was never a people person, even going through school I never even learned the names of those seated next to me. I was lonely that was true, but what I was feeling now was weird. I couldn't put it in words. When I envisioned my home, I felt a sensation move from my abdomen through my chest, up to my head, and rush down my body to my lower abdomen again.
"I don't feel too good," I said to no one in particular.
Surita turned to me, "what's wrong Wilbur?"
"This going home thing has me ... I don't know." I tried in vain to explain what was happening. Maybe my intellect went down.
"Whatever you're feeling Wilbur," said EIS, "we're here."
I got out of the self-driving van that stopped in front of a tall office building. I stood to the side of the door and took a deep breath. These feelings were alien to me. I was afraid of something but I didn't know what.
"We will let you know when we've picked up the package," said Surita, who after looking at me for a brief moment added, "you Ok Wilbur?"

"Fish-Man is fine, when is he not Ok?" said Clyde as they all drove away. I walked into the building.
I walked up to the receptionist desk and told her, "please inform Mr. Kane that Wilbur Trent is downstairs and wants to speak with him."
"Is he expecting you, or do you have an appointment?" the receptionist asked.
"He'll see me," I assured her. She was on the phone a few seconds before she paled and said to me, "Security will be down and escort you, Mr. Trent."
Within seconds 10 Supers came to escort me to his upstairs office. David and Blake were two of them. I nodded, and they nodded back. Within minutes I was face to face with Thomas Kane, owner of the company.
"Why shouldn't I kill you right now," said Kane.
"You won't kill me now for several reasons. I am surrendering to you for one, also EIS won't release the technology you want to you if you did kill me. And last you simply don't have the power to kill me, even with all your people here. I am stronger than I was," I said with a confidence that I felt.
"You are surrendering your mining system to me?" He asked, clearly disbelieving his ears.
"Yes."
"Why," he asked.
"To be fair," I answered.
"I'm all for fairness, how do I know you are telling the truth?"
"Check your computers, the designs should be there and done by now," I said.
"You will be on hand to design whatever nanotech I want?" asked Kane.
"Just ask EIS," I said.
"What is EIS? Isn't that the virus program that infected my base?" asked Kane
"EIS is the most effective AI ever developed. It will take you years to understand what it will do for you, it is the singularity," I said.

"Singularity?" He asked.
"The point in time where machines become smarter than we can be," I said.
"You are giving this to me for what reason?"
"Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, accept what I have and let there be peace between us. I have never held a grudge, I didn't even kill any of your supers," I said.
"You are going to take over my business with this EIS," he guessed.
"That's a done deal," I said, "the technology is already out there in the open-source community, you need to catch up."
"What do you want for this? What are you after?" He asked.
"Honestly, I just want to go home,' I said.
Silence.
He spoke first, "Ok it's a deal. I guess I got nothing as the idea is already patented by an AI." We didn't need the trump card. The child was watched but never contacted, his family was safe. I wasn't proud of what I was about to do if it needed to be done. We talked.
The flying van, filled with all of us, returned to the converted fishing trawler. I didn't think ending the war would be so easy. Granted I had a very high charisma ability, I thought he would try to kill me and take my inventions. It helped that they were a combination of EIS and my own work, so I was important. But I honestly thought he wanted me dead.
We landed on the ship and the crew went to the mess hall with me for a speech. I stood up and said to everyone, "OK everyone you have a choice. I am going to use my dimensional portal and return to my home. I will be taking a copy of the portal machine, if you need me for any reason, all you need to do is call me on the original portal and I will come back to you and help you with whatever problem you have. Or at least I will hear you out.
"You shouldn't have any problem with Thomas Kane and his people, but if you do, be nice and respectful, and call me. This ship is yours now and has a complete copy of EIS. Thank you for being a family, like one I never had. Thank you." I finished with what I thought was the worst goodbye speech I ever heard. That was if I had listened to speeches at some point in my life.
The van, which was actually a connection of nanomachines that came together to form a vehicle, changed shape to a boat. The center of it was the dimensional portal. With a command to EIS, I activated the portal. With that, I went home.

Having survived the destruction of his own earth, Kim Hooper now resides on an earth similar to his old one. But there is one large difference. Stuck in a similar-but-different world, he enters one of that world's most famous 'hero academies' so that he can fight against the creatures that killed his friends and family and ravaged his world. Armed only with the mysterious system-like power that saved him from his old world, he sets out to stop this earth from falling into the same fate that his old one did. Heavily inspired by 'The Novel's Extra' at first.

Primal Adaptation
The story of a little soul that ends up tangled in the games and bets of entities that utilize beasts of any primordial planet as a game avatar to make the Perfect Primal. This tale is not only its story because it will also share its destiny with the entity that will help it in its journey, and together they will rise from their particular situations one way or another. Primal Adaptation is a history with some RPG elements in it, but the MC can't look at a status screen or skill page because it's a beast through and through. I have implemented an evolution system for all the creatures of this story, where they grow or mutate depending on what they consume. In this tale, you won't find a Deus ex machina to give the protagonist power-ups. Everything must be learned and comprehended before its use unless it's something it gets immediately, or the abilities get understood by instinct. In essence, it is survival and gambit for opportunities, be it from one MC or the other.

A Ten Pound Bag
A serial saga with short chapters published each and every morning to read over your coffee or tea. This is a "versus life" story with no great evil to face just life in a hard place during a hard time. Our hero and his companions get catapulted back in time and must find a way to not only survive but prosper. This story is definitely "R" rated maybe even NC-17 but don't expect explosions, blood and orgasms at every page turn. Bad words and uncomfortable topics are addressed in this story, this is not for every reader. This is a technical story and develops slowly at first, full technical details, maps and research are available over on Patreon. I hope you enjoy this story as much as I am. -Emmeran
