《Esoteric Skeleton Dungeon Master》Chapter 25

I am Prin E. Cess. The daughter of the King of All humans. No, that’s not right. I am Masuko Aiko, an average Japanese otauku female, my soul is residing in the body of Prin. Back on Earth, I was an otaku. I would stay inside for weeks at a time only coming out on Sundays when I volunteered at the homeless shelter. I had just finished いくつかの日本の言葉. A wonderfully cute reverse harem dating sim where you got to crush on cute boys while attending a magical highschool meant for royals. I went to leave the house. Despite being an otaku I still found time to volunteer at the animal shelter every month. I loved being around animals, but as for being around people? You can keep them to yourself. I had seen a cat lying in the street. I rushed over to make sure it was okay when I heard the horn of a truck.
I woke up in the body of Prin. The antagonist form いくつかの日本の言葉. I panicked at first. In the game, the princess was a vile and evil person. Ruthlessly bullying the main character, a commoner with light magic, every path ended up with the evil princess dying or being exiled. I relaxed. It was still one year before the events of the visual novel. I could just not attend Magic university.
“Papa!” I stormed into the throne room an immediately recoiled at my farther’s eyes. He wasn’t a normal person. I had no memories of Prin's life except what I knew from the game.
“What is it, sweetie?”
“Um-uhh…” I tried to look anywhere but his eyes, but the golden scales he had behind his glasses kept drawing me into looking at it. I couldn’t ask him to unenroll me from the best magic school in the country, what if he got angry at me? What if he inspected me and figured out that I wasn’t actually his daughter? “Love you.” was all I could think to say. He gave me a warm smile and replied with “Love you too hun.” I shuffled out of the room.
I never got the nerve to bring it up again. Instead, I devised a plan. When you play as the heroine your magic powers are discovered during the Christening. The Christening is a countrywide holiday where every child who turns fourteen that year is taken to the church to have their skills checked and read aloud. I wasn’t the heroine of this story. I was the villain, but that shouldn’t change the day of the christening, after all, we are the same age. If I could skip the day of the christening then we would have to wait for next year. I won’t be put in magic school and I won’t have to compete against the heroine. Two weeks before the christening my father came to my bedside while I was reading. “Hey honey, can you touch this orb real quick?”

“What is it?”
“I’m just checking. The christening is a public event. I need to know how big of a show I should prepare for. If you have a good power then it’ll be a countrywide parade, but if not. I understand that you might be embarrassed by your inadequacy. I’ll settle for a city wide one.”
I was panicked. There was no lie I could think of to escape this situation. I moved away but the bedsheets caught me. I felt the cold orb touch my shoulder. “Boop.” My dad twisted his mustache as he read my skill. “Oh, we might even have to have a worldwide parade with a skill like that.”
Of course, having played the game I knew exactly what the villain’s skill was. Space magic, the ability to warp space around you. The villainess used it to store her many purchases during shopping trips and to steal stuff when no one was looking. The parade was just like the one in the game.
This was the first thing to deviate from the game. I knew that the teleport circle to the joke character’s magic lab was placed in my closet. It was used many times in the game. The first time it was used was to send her a bodyguard. The bodyguard was supposed to be Hero not some dude with rubbery skin. When playing as the heroine Hero was the hero of the country. Only two years older than you. He started at the bottom as an orphan and when he attended his christening ceremony his skill was [Hero] a skill to match his name. He immediately became an adventurer and began to travel the land, doing odd jobs, slaying demons, and helping children across the land. He was the best capture option. A heart of gold, awkward but in a cute way, strong enough to lift you with one hand. What more could a girl wish for?
“It’s probably best that Hiro isn’t here. I mean, he’s kind of a womanizer.”
I gasped. How did he know the bad end route? In the game, there are not only good ends for maxing affection ratting, but if you let the affection rating drop below a certain point, either through neglect or action then you get their bad ending. If you don’t help Hero with the orphans then he falls into the wealthy hands of the elite who supply the orphanages money. He goes off with the villain to war and never returns.

Wait. I’m the wealthy elite. If the heroine ignores Hero then he’ll fall into my hands, right?
“My father sent you?” I wanted to judge if he was lying or not, but the dude just nods. “What color are my dad's eyes?”
“Fucking creepy.”
“That’s not a color, but I believe you.” The sheet of golden scales he has instead of eyes are incredibly creepy.
Maybe it’ll be okay. This isn’t Hero, but he’s not a death flag ether. Does this mean the world is not like how it was in the game? There’s only one way to find out. The first day scene. The peasant with light powers puts on a show. She makes a clumsy mistake and it goes awry sunburning the villain. The villain freaks out and attacks her. If that event happens then I just have to do the easiest thing. I have to not attack her. I'm a nice person. It won't be hard being nice to her, but what if something else bad happens? I need to make some friends with the other noble children. That way even if something like that does happen then I will have supporters. I take to the hallways to find my first friend!
I am Anon. I need to state my name because at least one of you will get surprised by the sudden character change and will ask me stupid questions about it. Thus in the future, I will color code the first sentence for the mouth breathers. Meta jokes aside. For the past hour, I have followed around the princess. This poor little girl. She’s hilarious.
The girl loves small animals and insects. There was a moth that had wandered in from outside she picks it up, cooing to it like it’s a small child. It’s obvious her intent is to take it outside where it can be free in nature. I didn’t have the heart to tell her the truth about moths at the time. I let her continue to carry it in her hands outside. The moth was chill AF until some Riaru couple comes up, laughing and giggling as they whisper sweet nothings. The moth must have shared the same hatred for normie couples as I have; because it took off. Flew right into the girl's face. The girl freaks out backs, trips over the boy’s feet, falls, and hits her head. She’s unconscious. The boy is looking at the princess in shock. Finally, he moves. Biting his lip and curling his tiny fists into balls. “How could you throw that at her! You’re a monster!”
“No she’s a princess,” I say, trying to lighten the mood. The boy locks up. He apologizes for calling her such and drags his girlfriend to the infirmary. As we walk back to the room I notice that the princess is down.
“Hey don’t worry about it.”
“What do you know?” She snaps at me.
“The moth. It was at the end of its lifespan anyway. Once a caterpillar becomes a moth it has two goals. Mate then dies. During the mating process, its wings get really messed it. It uses the last bit of its energy to fly to a tree and lay its eggs. That’s why it didn’t fly away from you when you picked it up. It was out of energy. So either way, the moth would have died soon. Don’t feel bad about not being able to help it. Feel good because you’re a nice person.”
She’s almost in tears from my moving speech.
Of course, that wasn’t what she was crying about. She was crying about how she had ruined her reputation before the game events started.

The Last Death Mage
Since time immemorial humanity has always feared and shunned what it didn’t understand. Over time this changed a bit to encompass things that didn’t conform to their thoughts and ideals. Due to humanity’s stubbornness with which the enforced their ideals many lives were lost and changed. When humanity first clashed with monsters and the beings that use magic, this trait caused many bloody fights. Over time the fights escalated into battles and full on war on several occasions. Humanity due to their adaptability and persistence won many of these altercations, causing huge casualties to the magical beings. Humanity did not come out unscathed however; many of the empires and civilizations noted in human history fell due to these battles and wars. Eventually over time humanity and the magical beings came to a sort of agreement. Magic and the beings associated with it faded into the background of history, being relegated to myth and legend. Humanity meanwhile advanced leaps and bounds once magic faded, leading to our current level of civilization. Not all magical beings were content with this, thus they did their own actions and killed or fed on humans. This has led to many organizations to be formed concerning this, on both the side of humanity and the side of magical beings. They regulate and control the use of magic as well as protect humanity from the darker things that are now not but myth to them, but there is a reason humanity instinctually fears the dark. Unfortunately there are always those that are unsatisfied by the status quo, and those that are prejudiced against things that are different. This is a story of a young man who wanted nothing more than to be normal. Unfortunately Fate and the world he lives in do not easily allow that this, thus his life changed, not for the better. Everyone has heard of or read stories about monsters and legends, heroes and villains, this is one such story. Hi, this is my second attempt at a story here, the first was before the major overhaul happened and i lost everything related to that story due to PC troubles. I hope you enjoy this if you dont please leave some constructive criticism in the comments. An Editor and the like will be needed, but I will edit as problems are pointed out and as i proof read. This story will have no set schedule, unless of course I decide to type up a bunch in succession then i will note that in a chapter beforehand. ADDED NOTE: most sexual content will be in Interludes or sub chapters with a .5 attached. Profanity and gore however shall be plenty in the actual story, though the descriptives for the gore may be added later. (For example, in the prologue that gave a hint at what happened to the MC, will be enhanced so that the gore invokes more descriptive/complete mental pictures, though it may wait.) ~Tyroth Gideon
