021. Dance of the Shovels
"Umm, Umm, why is it shaped like that? I don't think it should look like that. That is definitely not normal. It looks like it would be extremely uncomfortable to use if you could even fit inside."
"What, you don't like my human shaped tunnels? They are slightly bigger than a normal sized human male, well at least ones back from my old world, I don't know about the locals, so most people should be able to shuffle their way through. Well if they move their limbs to the same shapes as the tunnel."
"Ok, ok, then why does the shape keep changing the further you go along the tunnel. That just looks weird."
"Just because the shape changes as you go to make you do the chicken dance doesn't mean it's weird. That's strategy! It will tire out any adventurers before they can get to the new core room, and they might, just might be too tired to fight my boss if I ever get the LF to make a decent one."
"What? What? You're saying that Jiggly Jiggly isn't a decent monster? That is something I can't stand for. Jiggly Jiggly is the bestest of all monsters that could ever be made, no monster could be better and I dare you to say otherwise!"
__________
Half a day earlier:
"Hmm, before I start working on digging out my Dungeon, I want to take a quick look to see if any trees I can unlock look like they might help with building."
"Ohh, Ohh, good idea! Your other body has been munching on that big lizard for a while now, you should have gotten like 200 LF or more by now. With so much, you should be able to open a path and get down it a few levels!"
"Yep, 236 extra LF so far and I have barely made a dent in this thing, giving me 271 LF! If I'm getting so much LF just from eating the flesh of this thing I really wonder how much I could have gotten from its core... and how strong was that damn Jackalope that was just playing around with it."

After musing on the horrifyingly strong Jackalope for a moment longer David Took a moment to open his menu, then navigated to the skill tree section. When he had it open David was still overwhelmed that there were over 1000 pages with 15 trees on each page. And this was just the Tier 0 part of the skill trees after the trees are unlocked and start to branch out that would increase it even more.
"Well, might as well start browsing them for anything that might seem related," David said to himself. "Hmm, Already seen page one, what is on page 2."
Skill Tree: Tier 0: Page 2
Fat: 888 LF Home: 111 LF Cookies: 50 LF Dance: 15 LF Curve" 220 LF
Cats Eye: 975 LF
Sleep: 150 LF Cute: 300 LF
Dirty: 1000 LF Sly: 420 LF
Poke Poke: 980 LF Square: 400 LF
Up: 75 LF Ornery: 700 LF Slightly Damp: 115 LF
David just stared at the page for a minute before mentally shaking his head. "These Tree names really make no sense. I have no idea what any of them could possibly do. But that Dance tree is only 15 LF, I have no idea what it could unlock but its only 15 LF... I really shouldn't."
"Yes, Yes you should, Its only 15 LF, it's not like we're not swimming in the stuff at the moment, and you are constantly getting more as you gobble down that dumb dino out there. I really want to see what the Dance tree gives you, I really want to see it, Get it! Get it! GET IT!" The impatient little fairy said while bobbing up and down with an excited look on her face.
"Haha. Fine, I will get it, I will get it. I was planning on getting it anyway just to see if I can try to figure something out about how the naming scheme works." With that David mentally clicked on the Dance tree and felt a strange tickling sensation in his mind as the LF left and information somehow entered in its place.

"... Ok not what I was expecting, well kinda, I guess it makes some sense. But really? The chicken dance? Why that one out of all the dances I have seen on tv and the internet back on earth. I have never really been one to dance, like ever, at all, but the first dance I have ever learned is the chicken dance? Sigh. Fine, it's not like I actually have any limbs to dance any more, and all my slime body can do is slightly wiggle like jello.. maybe it could do a weird version of twerking... na never mind I really don't want to do that."
"Now that I have wasted my Precious LF on that useless Dance Tree Lets see if I can find something a little more useful?"
" Oh, this one looks promising, on page 3 there is a [Less] Tree for 10 LF. It's another cheap one and looks like it MIGHT have something to do with digging kinda, maybe, well not all that much but hey it might.

"Ohh, Ohh, Nice you were right it was a digging Tree! You have SUUUUUCH good luck getting a digging tree! The first one probably will let you use less MP to dig and the second one will probably let you get more fancy with how you can dig. Quick put in the LF to get both of them! This Tree is so Helpfull. Why haven't you done it yet?"
"Wait, I can get both? I thought I could only pick one? Nice that means I don't have to worry too much about picking the branch I go down and missing some good boosts later."
Congratulations you have unlocked the [Sharp Shovel] Perk for 50 LF Congratulations you have unlocked the [Precise Shovel] Perk for 50 LF Sharp Shovel Tier 2

"Interesting it adds some combat utility to digging in this tree. That's different, I wonder how many "Shovel Knights" there are out there with this tree. I still have 146 LF, just enough for 1 more tree, I think I have a Great Idea I want to do for my first floor, SO I'm going to take Precise Shovel 2."
Precise Shovel Tier 3
Precise Shovel 3 242 LF
You are 10% more Precise when digging.
Precise Spade 250 LF Allows for 15% finer control over smaller digging projects.
"Idea? Idea? What kinda of idea? Will it be fun? or mega fun? Or maybe even mega ultra fun! Tell me, come on I want to know!"
"Hehe, you will see." With that David Started to work on digging out the start of what would become one of the strangest first floors for a Dungeon anyone in the Kingdom of Fyrsta had ever seen.

Lone: The Wanderer [Rewrite]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? I have made some modification to technology since there has been a lot of changes to technology from when she wrote this until now. But other than that and a few very basic edits the work is hers. The Untitled
It isn't often we mention names. The greatest royalty, the most-skilled hunters, and often even the people we know best in the world, we know them all by their titles. Names are private, personal, sacred. This you must understand before you hear the story of The Untitled. Because to hear their story is to hear their names; the names of Legends. ---------------------------------- Based on the Monster Hunter series by Capcom.
