"Well, our battle was inevitable. While our strength has deteriorated over the years, unlike you I have a complete body. Thus it is only natural that I have improved my abilities. So let us fight until your eventual defeat," she shouted out while sending the lady of the lake forward in attack.

And thinking so he moved back. Myne nodded in relief and continued his battle.

But the hourglasses surrounded all the manifestations of water along with Vivienne and began to rotate periodically, leaving strange mesmerizing shadows and patterns. Amazingly, Vivienne was completely frozen in place unable to move.

This was an abstruse law...the law of time! Next, Myne waved his hand causing the clocks to strike with great power onto Vivienne's defenseless body.

With each attack, her indestructible body wavered and shook. Suddenly a strange knot of energy appeared connecting Vivienne and the fountain of youth which was now churning furiously. But under Myne's continuous attacks, this knot finally shattered into countless specks of light. Finally freed from the fountain, Vivienne's aquatic form disappeared into specks of water, revealing a beautiful lady dressed in a shimmering silvery-white gown. Her eyes were as deep as the sea and her hair was falling on to her shoulder in curls of ocean blue. Realizing that whatever spell was effecting Vivienne had now weakened, Myne looked at her with pained eyes, wanting to say a million words but unable to... "I...I'm sorry" he finally said. Hearing this Vivienne's face which had been previously full of confusion paused with a calm look. Vivienne looked at him with a slight smile, "Hush. It was never your fault... I realize that now....." She sighed, "That day... I should have only been suspicious. My actions back then were obviously an over-reaction. Only now do I realize, that my stepmother had been gradually corrupting me with a divine curse. Even you the great mage Merl--Myne, couldn't have sensed the minute changes under the gradual exposure to a divine curse."

When she learned of our relationship, she had begun to use the divine curse to slowly plant seeds of doubt in my heart regarding us. And finally led me to seal you here with your own spell... I'm sorry. If only I had believed in you... maybe I could have fought off the divine curse.."

Myne's old eyes glistened with tears, "No, no... it was never your fault. I too am to blame. Always believing you had simply betrayed me..." But he didn't get to say much further, as Vivienne now hurriedly freed herself from Myne and shouted out, "Fuck you, old man! You betrayed me. I'll kill you!" She gathered some law and punched out.....but her fist lost that energy almost immediately, as she collapsed on to Merlin's lap.

Myne looked at her with sorrow and whispered, "Brother, Vivienne is still being influenced by the divine curse. I believe I have a chance of healing her. But I will have to give up my Law of time. My cultivation will be damaged--- But for her, I'm willing to do so. I hope you can look over us while I heal her. And if we fail I hope you can be there to witness our final moments."
