Obsi woke up when he felt Karka nudging him.

Waking up and stretching he asked, 'what is it?' already knowing the reason.

'Obsi I grew! Look I'm so big now!'

Obsi was still a meter longer than her, although to be fair Obsi was already five meters long.

'keep it up and you will outgrow me in no time!'

'yay!'

As they exited the cave Obsi already planned on what to do today.

'we will be hunting a lot today. I'm level 9 and I want to reach 10 as soon as possible, so we will be hunting outside our usual zone. Got it?'

'okaaay!'

With that they went out.

When they reached the already scouted area Obsi went straight to the crocodile headed snake-eel. Feeling confident that Karka could take care of herself he instructed her to go hunting alone in the place.

When he finally reached the croco-snake-eel's turf he started preparing.

So it's a snake scaled eel with the head of a crocodile. It's sturdy and most likely has a strong bite, the eel factor might mean it's quick or can make twists and turns suddenly. What to do... Disable it? But how? I know crocodiles have a powerful bite... Ah, since it has a crocodiles head it might not strong have muscles to reopen its mouth and why should it? It can kill anything here in one bite probably. So what I need to do is wrap myself around its mouth... That will make my tail whip useless and that's pretty big... ah whatever I need to up my blood sucking anyways.

Without further ado Obsi began sneaking into its territory. When he spotted it it was waiting with an open maw near a cluster of fish, from the mouth came the smell of blood, most likely it's last victim. So I was right about the crocodile head thing judging from its hunting strategy.

Obsi slowly snuck behind it, making sure not to cross it's line of sight. Now that I take a closer look it's eyes glow, is that how it sees?

As Obsi slowly drifted above its head he took a position.

He gave the waiting predator a whip of his tail, smacking it right in the head. He had hit it with so much power his tail stung a little, as the things head was caved in a little Obsi moved quickly, taking advantage of it stunned state to wrap himself around its mouth, once he was firmly in position he punched his hands into its eyes and bit it's temple. The scales were hard and he had to grind his way to it's flesh. With only two thirds of his teeth touching flesh he was forced to suck it's blood out as it began to thrash around. The predator being blinded and it's only dangerous physical weapon disabled was panicking. Not once in its life had it been so much as threatened and now it was beginning to slowly die.

As Obsi fought to keep himself in position he pushed his hands as deep into the beings eyes as he could and grabbed whatever he caught, yanking it out as he tightened his grip as to not fly off. As he finally pulled the something out the being started spasming. Not dead yet Obsi thought. Continuing to suck it's blood out Obsi began to feel better. He was heavily bruised from the fish's thrashing but now he felt the bruises disappear. Does my 'blood sucking' have a life steal effect? That's awesome! Wait, focus!

After eighteen seconds of spasming the monster finally died and Obsi was rewarded greatly.

Holy shit! That's incredible! There are more on the list but they're pretty bad for me, like path of teaching or path of sleeping. So, the big four. I'll consider them one at a time.

Path of terror is pretty bad I think, it will probably increase my physical stats more than I can imagine but I don't want to be something that absolutely everything despises.

Next is path of dragons. That's just fucking cool, I can be a dragon! I have a feeling it will increase physical stats alone more than the path of terror would and it increases other stats as well, it's probably the best path there is, at least for me. There's probably something like the path of gods where you have to evolve a day after birth. Anyways.

Path of kings looks tempting, I mean, who doesn't want to be a royalty? Sadly it increases my mental stats only.

The last one is path of blood and oceans, menacing as fuck and I get magic, but who's to say other paths don't give it either? It still seems cool, being a myth and controlling the oceans as I see fit and all. Soo... what do I take? I'm leering towards path of dragons since it's so powerful. Hmm, if I can get Karka to evolve before the month she will get path of dragons too! Wait, I only have a day left... No pain no gain I guess. Let's go! Path of dragons I chose you!

As Obsi hummed a familiar theme song in his head another screen popped up.

Custom evolution? Do I trust myself to do a good job at that? The other option don't really entice me, except the dragon prince one. But I don't really want to die because something was envious of me and there's bound to be others who want to become a dragon king. I guess custom evolution it is.

As Obsi choose the option the world went dark. As it regained it's colour everything stood still as if time had stopped. Hell, even I can't move. As he tried to look around windows appeared Infront of him. They were filled with sliders and boxes. The boxes were also filled. Legs, arms, anything he could think about would appear in them. Right, custom evolution.

As he looked through all the sliders he got more and more giddy. Turns out that being able to customize the size of each individual teeth can be somewhat overwhelming, especially if you have 577 teeth, the exact number was written down.

Finally getting a hold on himself Obsi considered what he should choose.

I definitely need a better way to bite. Some armor would be good since I have low health, scales would be good. Also being more aerodynamical would be good. Now what else? Just experiment? I could... I could also add myself some wings, are there some sorts of wings that work underwater? Ah, the boxes. Hmm, I don't like any of them, they're too slick. Alright, no wings then, what about more arms? I don't really need legs. Wait can I increase my stats? I can!

Obsi continued to fiddle with the design for a while, trying out bits and pieces. When he was finished he looked over his choices one more time.

So, an extra set of arms, changed mouth shape for better biting power, more aerodynamical body that's covered in scales, loads of bonus stats per level... What else? I could add an acid glands but I'm not that interested in them, I still have some room for upgrades, I don't know how I know but I know. That's a mouthful. Anyways, I guess I'll just add some more stats. Aaand done.

As Obsi said that the world went dark again.

When Obsi woke up again he had a slew of messages to go through. Once done he had some room to think, not much room to move though.

Holy hell that's a lot of stats, isn't it too op? Well I am a dragon of sorts now. And huge, don't forget huge. Now I definitely want Karka to get the dragon evolution.

'Karka!' damn my voice is deep! 'we're going hunting!'

'huh? Why?'

'because I want you to evolve into a dragon as well!'

'you're a dragon now?!'

'yes now let's go!'

As they began to move Obsi looked over his status.
