(aqua pov)

The ceiling started glowing bright and out came a bunch of [murex], these bunches of rock monsters comes in different shapes but have the same size. The common thing about all of them is that they have one eye and has small spherical metals floating near it.

The one thing I never told Charon was that every floor has three waves and that the last wave has a mini boss. It looked like the fighting and evolution made Charon fatigue, poor kid all he wanted was to get strong, but seriously though he should change his way of talking.

I created a cube barrier made out of water to protect Charon. I got up from my crouching position and started making small drops of compressed water. The total amount of [murex] that came out of the summoning circle looks like it ranges from 10 to 12.

“this is strange…” last time I went here was with my exploration group and we didn’t even last ten minutes against these rock monsters, but that thing that’s strange is that the amount has increased than last time.

“Usually the amount is either two or three, but the total amount now ranges from ten to twelve, could it be that the summoning circle got tampered with?” maybe this is also related to the weather happening outside. Now I really have to get at the end of the dungeon and find out what’s happening.

When I stopped making the delayed water droplets I looked at Charon then back to my enemies.

“Looks like I’m going to be a little bit stronger, hehe~” I motioned my hands downwards and the water droplets started shooting at the monsters at a rapid speed, Some of them would shot beams at me before they died, but I avoided it with my water barrier. In the end I won.

“Looks like I didn’t got stronger, seems like these monsters don’t possess a huge amount of magical energy…” I was starting to breathe heavily so I sat down and broke the water barrier that was protecting Charon.

‘Phew… making the small pressurized droplets was harder than I thought…’ I realized that my water control can be made into any shape and with a bit of imagination I can even make it materialized. Another thing I realized was that if I compressed the water into a small object then it will become a little bit harder.

*Ping*

There was this sound that was making my ear irritated. I noticed that the sound came from the ceiling. I looked up and saw that the circle was glowing red. It looks like the mini boss is about to be summoned.

“Aw! Come on I didn’t even rest a bit!!” I ran towards Charon and picked him up by making a water stream. I then placed him in the furthest part of the room.

*boom*

With a loud sound I turned back and saw that the monster was huge. The size was nearly like the size of the venenum but a bit smaller, like two times smaller, but still though it’s huge.

From the looks of it, I think it’s a [Galmi]. These creatures are mostly found in the sandy continents, they are usually called golems or puppets. Their forms may differ depending on the one, who created it,

But this one does not have a mark. Usually a mark will be placed on the golem. From what I remember the mark is the source of its movements or also know as ‘magic source’ without it, it’s just a lifeless doll.

The face is circular with red gems has eyes, the figure is big and bulky, on its wrist and ankle are cuffs that has chains connected on his back.

It was just sitting down not moving, the dust was slowly dissipating and I could feel the magical energy swelling up in the middle part in its body.

All of a sudden its eyes glowed and it got up from its position and jumped at me shooting boulders.

I quickly moved Charon in the corner and made a big water blob big enough to receive the rocks and stop the impact I then moved further away from it, the golem crashed from where I was previously standing and made a crater.

‘Fast!’ too fast, how can this bulky golem move like its skinny?

The water from the blob lost its shape and I absorbed it, then I quickly made compressed water spears and shot them towards the golem.

But the golem was too fast and quickly evaded them.

I made more water spears and one compressed water spear, I jumped because the golem shot a boulder at me, and while in the air I shot the water spears and waited for the right time to shoot the compressed one.

The golem evaded the water spears and saw an opening, I shot the compressed spear aiming for the head and manage to hit.

‘Yes!’ I managed to make a hole on it head, but it then regenerated back to its original form.

‘What?! It can regenerate?!’ the golem started shooting more boulders at me, acting like nothing happened.

‘I forgot… this isn’t like the fight against the venenum, I’m actually fighting a moving Rock!’ unlike the venenum, this golem is not a living thing and can regenerate.

I decided to just dodge its boulders for now, while I think up a plan.

‘From what I remember the [Galmi] are physical attackers that specialize in strength and defense, but this one is making boulders out of the ground and is throwing them at me.

Hmm… this golem is fast and shoots boulders… could it be that this one specialize in long range attacks… if that’s the truth then maybe it’s made up of weak materials… but from the crater it made it might be a made from heavy material and usually heavy means strong…

Usually the weak points are the marks that were given to them from the creator, but this one does not have a mark, I already checked the back and nothing. If it does not have a mark then it means that it’s getting magical energy from a different source.’

I started looking for something out of the ordinary, scanning the room I noticed that the ceiling is still glowing.

‘That’s it! That’s where the golem gets its magic!’ still dodging the boulders, I started making water spears and started shooting them at the ceiling, but the golem noticed the spears heading towards the ceiling and stooped my attacks by countering it with boulders.

‘Seems like I was right…but what is it doing…’ the golem jumped and started removing the chains from its back while it was still in the air. Now the chains removed, the golem threw them towards the ceiling but only struck the circles border.

‘Don’t tell me the golem is protecting the circle!’ it looks like I was right. The golem was now hanging from the ceiling and started using its chains like a whip.

I dodged the attack but when I moved to the left the golem also moved its arm to the left making the chain hit me, knocking me to the wall.

“Ack!!” I’m just a slime so physical attacks don’t work against me, but blunt attacks can give a really bad bruise and this attack was strong. I got up and started making compressed water droplets and the golem started using both of it arms.

‘I’m nearly at my limit. I guess the barrier that looked like fishes took a bit of my stamina.’ Once I was done making the compressed droplets while dodging the chain, I started shooting them towards the golem and also making some hit the circle.

It looked like some managed to get pass the golem and got to hit the circle, but it only managed to leave a few cracks.

‘Does that mean I have to completely destroy the circle?’ I was looking at the circle and didn’t notice the chain that was about to hit me. I raised both of my arms protecting my head and also to block the attack that was going to hit me.

‘SIS!’ I heard Charon’s voice. He then appeared in front of me blocking the attack using his back.

“You’re back!” he took the hit for me and I know how much it hurts.

‘It’s okay sis, see…’ he turned around and I saw that his scales were deep black. I guess this was one of his skills. ‘So what do we do now?’

It looks like he regained his stamina and is ready to fight.

“This golem is the mini boss for this floor and his weakness is that summoning circle, distract him and I will deal with the circle”

‘Okay!’ with that said the golem used its chains to strike us, we both dodge by me going right and Charon flying using his wings. When the golem pulled its chain the chain looked like it had a boulder attached with it.

“Huh? It’s a flail!” the golem used the boulder as a bludgeon and started using it on Charon.

While charon was distracting the golem I started gathering a huge amount of water to make a water sphere and was gradually becoming bigger by the second, while I was doing that it looked like Charon was doing great.

He was dodging the golem’s attacks by doing Aerial maneuvers and was shooting his flames. Sometimes he would also shoot a purple flame and also a yellow one. This must be his new ability that he got from his evolution.

“It’s done!” I gave Charon the signal that I was ready to shoot my attack, he then started shooting green flames towards the chains that was holding the golem. The golem saw the attack and blocked the flame using its flail but the flame started melting its weapon.

Charon once again shoots the green flames towards the chains and this time it was a success, the chains started melting and the golem fell down to the floor and with this I shoot my sphere.

The circle broke and the golem started becoming dust while falling down screaming in a monstrous voice. For a second I thought I saw a human body. But it must have been my imagination because after the dust, ashes started fluttering in the air.

“AgghheAheaallpppghhhEee!!” it almost sounded like it was screaming for help.

I was breathing heavily and was sweating beads of sweat. I sat down in a tired position catching my breath.

“Is it over!” I yelled towards Charon that was checking the remains, to think that I didn’t got to defeat the golem by myself even though I gained a human transformation. I have to start training my stamina even more now.

‘Yes! It’s over…’ Charon came down and sat next to me shooting blue flames around us, at first I thought it was dangerous but it turned out that the flame felt really cool, almost like it was a summer breeze.

To think that I was enjoying this short break, but Charon had to ruin it by telling me the most dumbstruck info.

‘By the way I was awake the whole time. I was just testing my new ability to get used to it…’

“What!”
