The pit was really dark and deep, but the big crystals were quite helpful once again because they produced the soft light that let us see well.

We were jumping from crystal to crystal all the way down and from the looks of it when we would go down and jump from a crystal, the crystal would lose its glow.

‘I wonder why the crystals are losing their glow’ I just recently found out about the crystals losing their glow from last time. I think it’s creepy because in situations like this it’s like we’re being led into a trap.

We jumped off the last crystal and landed inside the entrance to the next floor. After that we continued walking until we entered a small hole that was emitting a faint blue light.

We entered it and noticed two things, first was that the space was really big, second was a bunch of jelly fish.

“What the heck is this!?” the jelly fish like thing were big, almost the size of trucks. Some were even a bit smaller then the really big ones. What I noticed from the jelly fish was that it didn’t look hostile.

They looked semi transparent with a bit of light and dark blue, the big ones have four arm’s or should I call it tentacles, I was never good in biology, anyways the big ones had four while the small ones had three.

It looks like the jellyfish were floating in the air. Honestly I wanted to attack them but I realize that my team had a flaw,

First was that the jelly fish were way high up in the air and because of that we can’t reach them, I was thinking about using liana’s ability to climb the walls and attack them using the knife viria gave me, but then it would be too tiresome, because I would have to throw my weapon to attack the enemy then go back down to get it.

Second is that I thought of using long range attacks like the lightning Argus uses because the jellyfish are usually made of water, usually in games where there elemental opposites its usually lightning is stronger against water, but I was attack by a lightning type attack and if Argus is attacking then that would mean I would not level up, even if there is exp share.

Third was that I could use dash, but I realize that it would have a rebound and that means I would have to wait, but waiting means that we will have to be in this dungeon for a while.

Another thing was that… I didn’t bring food.

*sigh*

I looked down and sighed for my stupidity, I know I ate before I left but I didn’t realize that being in a dungeon would take time.

“Why didn’t we bring food in the first place… more like… why didn’t I prepared?” I was really feeling tired, this was not like those games I played, usually if you had a really good team you would have finished a dungeon within minutes.

‘Master!! Get Down!!’ Argus yelled telling me to dodge but before I realized it I got struck by a blue lightning from a bunch of small jellyfish that was now floating down.

I looked at the notification and noticed that there was not a timer that indicated when I could move.

‘That’s strange, does that mean I’m literally paralyzed until I get an antidote?’ The notification disappeared and I fell down from liana’s back and landed on the floor, but before I crashed my head liana made a cushion out of leaves tied around with vines that softened my fall.

‘It’s okay master, liana and I will take care of things!’ it looked like Argus is worried again, and it looks like I will be useless again.

‘Ugh why is it always like this!’ I was honestly starting to get angry. Aqua kept on killing my targets and killed the last boss from the previous dungeon, and now Argus and liana is fighting the enemies.

‘I wish I was more useful…’ both of them left my side before I even voiced my complaint.

Right now Argus was shooting a bunch of lightning that had a chain effect on the jelly fishes while liana was shooting vines that had thorns.

From the looks of it the big jelly fishes were not even bothering, and the little ones were only attacking.

The attacks from Argus surely had an effect but it looked like the jellyfishes were absorbing his attacks, sometimes the chain effect from the lightning would kill the enemies and turned them to ashes, but some would still survived and shoot a lightning bolt to him.

‘Hmm… from the looks of it the light blue ones are the ones that are turning to ashes, while the dark blue ones that survives shoot lightning. Hmm don’t tell me that the dark blue ones have a resistance to lightning, shit! Then that means Argus has a huge disadvantage!’

I was going to tell him that his attacks won’t work against them, but when I tried to open my mouth it wouldn’t even open.

‘What the heck! Isn’t paralyzed suppose to effect the body? Then why can’t I open my mouth?’

You leveled up

‘What The heck?!’

I even got exp just doing nothing… sigh… now I’m even feeling more tired.

I looked to my left when liana was and saw that she was shooting vines with thorns that were made to be nets, she threw it at the jelly fishes and they got caught, sometimes in the process of pulling them down some would die.

‘Must be the thorns… or maybe she coated it with poison’

I shifted my gaze away from liana and looked up at the ceiling, I saw that there were still more jelly fishes and from the looks of it their coming down.

‘Wait! They are coming down?! Why?’ the bigger jelly fishes were floating downwards to me, crap what do I do!

*sigh*

‘I know just what to do!’ if I need an antidote then I can just use [heal] has a substitute, I just hope this works..’ usually healing spells only heal wounds and does not heal fatigue and status effects, but there are times where healing spells can be used to heal different types of alignments, the only down side is that it does not fully removes the effect.

‘[Heal]!’ my hand started glowing and I concentrated to make the spell coat my whole body, I felt that my whole body was covered with a black and white glow and gradually faded, when the glow faded I moved my mouth to see if I could move again.

“Ah… ahhhh!! Yes!” I knew [heal] was just a simple skill, but who knew it could also heal stuff like this.

Mana won’t regenerate for three hours

‘Hmm… I guess I won’t be using my mana in the meantime’ it’s not like I really need it though.

‘Now I could kill those bitches!’ I took some rocks and some small stones that were lying on the floor and used [dash] and threw them at the bigger jelly fish, the attack were wide, almost like a shotgun so it also killed some smaller jelly fishes.

‘There is no way in hell! I will be weak!’ the bigger jelly fishes had hole in their gooey body but was still alive and coming down, so I took out a rope from my bag and tied it around the butcher knife I got.

I then used [dash] to throw the knife and started using the rope like a whip, so every time the knife comes back I would us the speed from [dash] to attack again.

While I was doing the whip thing I was also using rocks and was throwing it at them, I got a lot of notifications about the level up from me, Argus and liana. I got pissed with the dining sound so I told to stop notifying me, to my surprise it did stop.

After a solid two minutes there were only a few left and I finally got numb.

I didn’t saw the notification because I turned it off, but I knew that my time was up. I stopped attacking and was now sitting down, after I sat in a comfortable position I finally felt like I can’t move and feel my body.

“Hey! Are you done yet?” I noticed that some of the smaller jelly fishes were left, all of the bigger jelly fishes were killed, and I think I killed three big ones.

‘Yes master were done!!’ Argus and liana were coming this way, I haven’t really seen any difference in both of them, I guess they didn’t evolve. I decided to lie down in a flat position because sitting in a cross legged position just made my numbness worse.

Both of them sat next to resting. I was looking up and noticed that the ceiling was shiny black, almost like obsidian. I didn’t knew how long the numbness was going to disappear so me and Argus was conversing, since liana hasn’t evolve yet I couldn’t hear what she would say.

‘Did you get stronger?’ recently I have been tired to check my stats because of all the events happening, but I guess checking them wouldn’t be bad. I think I leveled up a lot but theses jellyfishes gave a little exp.

“I guess I leveled up a bit… by the way do you know what you call them?” I did level up, but I closed the notifications because I would be distracted.

‘the enemies are called [pulma] their abilities range from controlling paralyzing zaps to controlling chunks of ice, but from the looks of it the small ones controlled the zaps and the big ones controlled the ice…’ hmm… I never saw the big ones attack so I assumed they were useless.

“Oh yeah, I nearly forgot, how did you killed the electricity immune pulma?” I never got to see Argus attack and kill them so I thought liana killed them.

‘Oh! I used [dash] on the wall and used my horns to slice them, turns out they are really soft… hahaha…’ I didn’t understand when he said he used dash on the wall because that would mean he attacked the wall, but I’m assuming he ran on the wall and got on top then jumped to slice the pulma.

‘Hmm… master! Liana told me to tell you that you should not strain and worn out yourself or you might get hurt’ looks like she is worried. I should really get better abilities soon. Once I get out of here I will ask viria if there are markets that sell those skill rings

‘Oh! By the way, me and liana picked these up… it was strange because monsters don't usually drop anything once they die and turn to ash, but i guess this must be one of your abilities...’ liana opened a big bag that was on top of her which she laid down which is made up of vines and dumped a lot of jelly fishes. I thought it was jelly fishes but I looked closer and it looked more like transparent meat.

‘Hmm.. I wonder what’s that, [Info]’ I used my skill to see if it’s really meat, and if it is meat then it might be edible.

pulma muscle: non poisonous drop that is edible either raw or cooked

I didn’t hear the ding, but holy crap its edible,

“It’s edible! Then that means we can eat it, yes! Now we won’t starve!”

After that I told them that I was hungry and I desire to eat. the meat was somewhat weird. i meant the texture, its all squishy and really moist. so liana made and stacked a bunch of wood to make it look like a bon fire festival, then Argus made fire using lightning, I told him to make it weak so it won’t burn the wood, then after that I changed the temperature to make it cook the meat cook faster.

We ate till our stomachs are full. We rested and packed everything, even the leftover meat. Then we left to the third floor.

“Let’s Go!!”

Hey guys what’s up? Been a while huh! Deeply sorry for that. (>-

Anyways in this chapter it looks like the mc is using his arsenal in a clever way. Also I wanted the mc to feel like he needs to be stronger, but he feels tired, so he will develop that sense over time.

While writing this chapter I did wanted the jelly fish (aka pulma) to be his pet but scraped that idea because he wasn’t in my original story plan. But don’t worry he will have a pet that will be in this crystal dungeon.
