(aqua pov)

“I’m going to the guild to get information Charon, and do you really think that a water slime will get hurt by the rain Argus...”

After sis told that ultimate burn I wanted to laugh but I could not do that, because one, I would loose concentration and accidentally burn sir Aries. two, brother might hate me and I don’t want that.

‘I can’t believe her!, what I meant was that lightning might strike her, gosh!’ looks like I was right, currently brother is not in a good mood.

recently he was always mad but there are times pride takes over and forgets about it, but now I can notice that he shows care to sir Aries and sis.

He only shows that affection to sir Aries openly but has for sis he hides it, kind of a hate and like friendship.

‘Looks like it’s up to us to take care of master, Charon, are the cloths dry?’ I nodded and showed that I dried all of his cloths even his dirty boots, I dried of the mud and ate the mud, it was delicious.

‘Brother why do you call sir Aries master?’ I was wondering why he calls him master and also why aqua calls him father, I was born recently so I don’t know what happened before I joined.

‘well it’s a long story’ I rested my head down and was looking at him, he saw that I clearly wanted to hear his story so he told it in a soft voice, but it felt really short,

‘Well before I met master I had a group once, they were my best friends and we would always hunt or scavenged for food, it was hell, we would be chased or have a near death situation,’

‘Don’t you have a family?’ I asked with a low voice,

‘Seriously this kid, I used to, we all used to, but we were thrown out from our home made into outcast because of our horns and affinity with magic,

Anyways we had fun being a group and it made us forget about our past, they even made me the leader because I had more abilities then them, until... until…’

He took a deep mental breath and started to speak,

‘Until one day we had to hunt and they all decided that we should hunt a more bigger prey, I didn’t want to, but they persuaded me and because off my pride it got them killed, I wasn’t a good leader, I wasn’t a good friend, because of my rash decision I got them killed’

‘It’s not your fault…’ I said in a really soft voice this time, it looked like this was a really touchy subject, I didn’t knew how to respond so I stayed quiet after that,

‘Anyways the one that killed my… friends… started chasing me and I bumped into master, the moment I saw him I knew he could be trusted because he had horns like me…’

He then started laughing and looked at me,

‘Me and master were just staring until aqua yelled at me ‘hey if you don’t want to die then bow to master’

I did bow and the one that wanted to kill me started approaching me, master went to hide and again aqua said ‘hey c’mon your apart of us now get over here’

It’s funny, because off aqua I would have been killed if she hadn’t persuaded me and till this day I’m happy she did..’

‘Oh...’ I see it was aqua that made him call sir Aries, master,

‘That’s why I call him master and that’s why I’m happy that he also accepted me, slowly before I realized it I started grow affectionate to everybody, and I’m happy to know that I have a happy family’

He then looked at me and said in a serious tone,

‘Don’t say this to anybody, even master, if they would know I would be killed by embarrassment, got it! ’

I nodded to show that I would never tell a soul, because I don’t want brother to die,

‘Good, anyways what do we do now, I think aqua will take her time since she went to the guild even if the guild is near’

‘Practice magic?’ I still haven’t gotten used to amplify my fire abilities, I can already control the temperature off the flames I produce, but it required lots of concentration,

Brother then got off and started to concentrate in the middle of the room; sparks started to appear on his fur and was making static noises,

I also tried to concentrate on my fire abilities but I couldn’t because I might lose the concentration that’s controlling the temperature and accidentally burn sir Aries,

Nearly an hour has passed and sis was still not here yet and I was getting sleepy, I was going to sleep until brother stopped concentrating and looked outside the window where the winds started getting stronger and the raindrops were making loud sounds has it hit the window,

‘I wonder why it has started raining really hard, last year it wasn’t like this’

‘Rainstorm?’ I heard that this rainstorm happened three months a year and it would happen during winter, I don’t know how I knew that, it’s like I already knew all bout it,

‘Yeah, usually the rain would happen during the cold season which is winter,

the first month would be rain and strong winds, then at the second month it would start to thunder more and ice would fall, then the third month would be snow, the rain, strong winds, Ice and thunders would stop, and snow would fall until it was summer…’

This sounded really complex, if this happened during winter how come it is happening early, and where does this huge amount of water come from?

I got up and tried to walk towards brother, but the blankets were stopping me, I pulled my leg and something fell, I saw that a back pack that sir Aries was carrying last time I saw him fell down and I saw something green inside,

‘Hmm what’s that?’I removed it from the pack and noticed that it was green and oval shaped, it looks really familiar, like an egg, hmm if this is an egg then there is a baby inside,

I was happy to know that there might be a baby inside so I started heating it using my flames and lowering the temperature to make it warmer so I don’t kill the baby inside,

‘Charon what’s that!? Charon do not touch that!!’ I dropped the egg because of brother’s loud tone, I looked at the egg and saw that it cracked, but nothing came out, it started shaking,

‘Charon! Step back! Right now!!’ I took a step back and went near brother; he then went in front of me,

The egg started shaking even more furiously until the top part came off, then all off a sudden a small spider came out, then another, then another until a lot of them started coming out off the egg there was a lot of six legged spiders and looking at them was disgusting,

*zap*

Brother started using lightning to attack the baby spiders, but all of them acted like a group and was moving together to dodge the lightning attacks, a lightning was going to hit it until it spread apart then reformed,

Then all of a sudden it started forming into a bigger version spider, after it transformed it jumped to us landing on the window opening it, me and brother dodge by jumping sideways, brother went to sir Aries side,

I thought that it would go out of the window but instead it started chasing me, I started shooting fire at it but it was really fast and dodge my attacks really quick,

It jumped around the whole room, me and brother started attacking it with fire and lightning, occasionally we would miss our attacks and it would hit the wall, ceiling or out the window,

‘Stop moving!’ brother was starting to get pissed at the spider,

He was going to shoot another strong lightning when all of a sudden the doors opened,

*Bam*

“What are you guys doing!?!” it was sis and she looked really mad,

The spider saw sis and jumped to attack her but sis waved her hand and caged the spider just like brother, I wonder if I can become has strong has her,

“What’s this?” sis said has she closed the door, used water to close the window and doused the walls from the leftover fire, she then laid down the cage in the middle of the room,

‘It came out from a freaking egg!’ brother said has he left the sofa and went near us, now it was me, sis, brother and the caged spider in the middle of the room,

“You mean the green egg that father brought?” it looked like sis and sir Aries brought it,

‘You brought that dam thing?’ brother really loves sir Aries to haven’t heard what sis just said right now,

“I said father did, anyways what shall we do with it?” it looks like they are going to determine its faith right now, hope they let it live, I mean I was the one using the warm flame,

‘Let’s kill it!’ looks like brother will let it live… wait, what!?!

‘No…’ I said in a low voice, but I made sure to make my voice serious,

“Charon is right, this venenum might be beneficial to us and also to father, right now we need this venenum to join us to help us grow the plants upstairs so that we don’t have to buy vegetables, don’t you like vegetables Argus?” I looked at brother hoping that he might make a second decision,

‘I can eat meat forever!’ no… brother why do you hate the spider so much,

“That’s not rational thinking; it can also learn to make poison so it can also kill insects that eat the plants…” it looks like sis is also trying to persuade brother,

‘… Fine! But if it hurts master then I’m killing it!’ yes! Brother agrees,

“Okay it seems like we trust you, but do you believe in us?” sis bended down towards the cage so that it can talk to the spider, the spider was clam and looked at sis, after hearing what sis said it nodded,

“Okay then your free to go” sis made the cage disappear, it looked like it turned back into water and sis absorbed it,

“Uh..” I think I heard a groan,

‘What was that?’ It looked like brother also heard it,

“It’s probably father! I think he is going to wake up!” sis went towards the sofa and slowly lifted the blankets that was covering his face and torso, it looked like he was waking up,

Immediately the spider jumped to sir Aries and was looking at his face,

‘Hey!! You spider!! Get off!!’ it looked like brother was going to it the spider with lighting but he was stopped by me when I jumped on top off him and also sis which showed her palm facing towards us telling brother to stop,

“Shush!. it looks like its finding its real parent” with that sis slowly backed away and left the spider be,

The spider was just staring at sir Aries face has he was waking up, sir Aries finally opened his eyes and was rubbing them,

“Huh... I tamed… a venenum…” it looked like the spider was a part of this family now, yay now I won’t be the weakest,

“AQUA CHOP!!” sis surrounded her right hand with water and strikes the head of sir Aries making him unconscious again,

“Ugh… ah…” sir Aries was now silent asleep,

‘What did you do that for?!?!’ brother said with a loud tone has he approached sir Aries while rubbing the mark that was left from the attack,

“I panicked, I didn’t knew he was going to wake up now, if he did it would ruin my plan on leveling you guys up!” I perked up when she said ‘leveling’ because I didn’t know what it was, all I knew was that it represents how strong we are,

‘What do you mean?!?’ emphasizing the ‘what’ part, it looked like he was worried about sir Aries,

“I plan on finding the other dungeon so we could go there and level up; also I think that it’s connected with the rainstorm!” I wonder if the rain will ever stop,

‘How, in the world did you came up with such theory?!’ brother was now licking sir Aries head,

“Who cares!? So are you guys in or not!”

‘No!’

‘Yes!’

‘Charon! No!’

‘Yes!’ I went towards where sis was standing, I don’t want to be weak, I have to protect my family, and be stronger like brother and sis,

“It’s only you now Argus, what do you say?”

Brother was frantically looking from sir Aries to us and finally came to a conclusion,

‘Fine, I’ll go, but whose protecting master?’

“The spider” sis said while smiling,

‘What! You’re crazy! No…, there’s no way I will let a weak spider protect master!’

“You couldn’t even hit the spider” oh another burn,

‘argh!! Fine!! You better protect master okay!!’ brother finally agreed, he pointed at the spider to confirm that it will protect sir Aries, the spider nodded,

Then sis made wings out off water and made a cage with brother inside, I sat on top off it, we then jumped out the window,

“Then were off!!”

Hey guys today was charon’s POV

Double release today because I had time to do an extra chapter, it also looked like we now know more about Argus past and why he joined the team,

Also the ‘ ‘ part is them speaking mentally or the pets are talking at each other,
