《Fly in Fantasy》Epic Larvae Battle (1)

The heart of a dragon.
The blood of a dragon.
The soul of a dragon.
These all were high-grade ingredients Dora the Archemage needed to save the donkey.
As such, he sent out explorers far and wide, likeminded and determined to save the donkey. This was not some silly cartoon after all, where you had to follow one definite path. Instead, life had its own twists and turns, and sometimes there was no path, no way to rescue the poor donkey.
But that was fine.
As long as he gave his best, he would be fine.
The larvae saw something blue wriggling towards him. Something, that also ate and devoured the meat as he did. Something which had better biting techniques than him. Something he copied from.
The larvae was confused. It looked like the blue larvae wriggled at him, not to the flesh of the dragon.
He felt a certain sense of danger, and stopped eating. His hooks still felt hot after ripping so much flesh out, and the coolness, the break was a welcoming one.
The blue larvae approached him. The larvae sent a couple of gestures, but the blue larvae seemed to ignore his movements. Instead, it wriggled through the hole he ate, and entered the heart of the dragon. He was dangerously close, the larvae felt. There was also some sort of pressure on him, his hair stood on edge, and his small brain told him he needed to act now.
Larvaes aren't known to be great fighters for a reason, and so he bailed out. He ate his way through the heart to the other side and went along a crusty vein. The vein was empty of blood, but the larvae could feel some residue power resting inside. His body was powered inside, his stomach expanded and he also devoured the residue energy. After some short deliberation, he ate his way into the vein.

The blue larvae followed the path, eating chunks of meat along the way and growing with each bite. Once he entered the vein, he felt a mass of powers attack him, throwing the contents in his stomach all over. He grimaced, and made his way outside again. He crawled on top of the vein, and also followed it.
The vein ended in a tall chamber full of strings. The strings extended up high, and their ends couldn't be seen from below. The larvae clenched its hooks. That was tall.
The wall had much more power. He tried to eat the wall, but the wall was too hard for him to rip through. The blue larvae closed, and for the first time the larvae was face to face with another larvae.
Usually fly larvaes cover the whole body, with each mother dropping 75 to 150 eggs, out of which as many survive as there's enough food. Since the larvaes are literally eating machines for 5 days, not many become a fly. A dragon of this size might be enough food for 700, given its high nourishments. Yet most dragon corpses lay undisturbed, partly because of their imbued magic, partly because flies have a natural reluctancy towards magic.
The reason why the blue larvae avoided the veins earlier.
Our larvae is completely different though. He had a natural affinity towards Dragon Magic, and sought out more magic. Since he couldn't eat his way through the wall, he gently tugged at one of the strings, and shoved it inside his stomach.

+1000000 Attack, Increased magic power
Along with that, his mental awareness improved. It was more than enough to conclude that the blue larvae wanted to do something to him. Perhaps he wanted his flesh? Even though the fly didn't know he was eating the flesh of a dragon - despite the numerous boxes - he knew that his contents were entirely digestible, as much as he could digest the dragon.

A bit too late he noticed he was trapped. The only way out was either up those chords, or the entrance where he came from. He guessed the blue larvae was nearly up to the entrance, and the strings were a bit too much to climb up.
He decided to instead meet the blue bug face to face.
Threatenly he clicked his horns together, waiting for the blue larvae to come. But no matter how far he stretched his senses, the blue larvae was nowhere to be felt.
Suddenly he felt a draft from above and he jumped back. The blue larvae fell from above on top of him, and his horns barely missed him.
He glared at the blue larvae. However he couldn't set aside the uneasy feeling welling inside his stomach.

OutRage: Total Realism.

The up side is that its still a game, Players respawn, can use magic, can basically do anything they want with obvious exceptions like: not going to prison for assassinating a ruling monarch, not that you cant do it only that its very hard to do.In comes our protagonist a university student majoring in the sciences, namely chemistry. His name is Henry Jacobs, 19 years old and a complete loner.A new VRMMO game was annouced and it bragged and boasted about how it would be the first in a new era of VR gaming as it would give the game a total of 100% realism, meaning when you get hit it hurts, when you walk into a dungeon full of zombies it will stink as you'd expect like rottting corpses. This game is titled Outrage: Total Realism. Which was a joke made by the publishers knowing how most people would be either excited or enraged.

World Master
Hey! I once lived on your world back in 2056. But that was a long time ago and there’s probably no records of my existence. Or, maybe, I haven’t even been born yet… …I’m still figuring out of the timelines correspond. Anyways, I was or will be, or whatever you want to call it (maybe I am?), John Pitcher, a resident at St. Jude’s Hospital for the Mentally Ill. I was a computer programmer and my parents had me admitted there because I was convinced that I had been contacted by Set, the Egyptian god of chaos, about creating a world. Well, apparently, I’m something akin to the great times a hundred grandson of over 10 000 gods, and they didn’t want me to live an ordinary, dull life (well, except for the god of normalcy, but he doesn’t count). Set gave me three years to prepare myself. This begins right at the end of those three years. [participant in the NaNoWriMo Royal Road challenge] I originally had this as part of the prologue, then I realized that it made a better synopsis. Please note: this might seem a bit clunky because I haven't done a lot of writing, and this is supposed to be a kind of prequel to another story that I plan on doing in the future. I will not be fully explaining everything but instead will be explaining things in that other story. This is mainly to help fill in the lore of the world so that people will have at least a basic idea of how things function. Regardless of that, that story won't be written for at least another year, so deal with it. Note: I am using ideas from several different authors in order to make sure that this can be a proper story. You may or may not recognize where I got them. I am not writing a Fanfiction and do not claim these as my own. I will add to a list of titles below as I find myself using those ideas. World Keeper (obviously) The Wandering Inn The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound (not yet, but eventually) A bunch of others that I haven't thought of yet
