《Death's Heir》Chapter 46 : War (4)

Azreal kept coughing up blood; his face was devoid of all color as he looked at the gaping hole where his stomach used to me.
“You little bastard!”
Boom!
Earlon stomped down hard on Azrael's head, creating a small crater.
“Didn't you hear me telling you to stop”
Boom! Boom! Boom!
He couldn't muster up the slightest bit of energy to form any resistance against Earlon much less to try and heal himself.
“Shit how am I going to explain this to the queen”
Screeeeee!!
When Earlon looked over he saw Glen falling from the sky.
“Is everyone else completely useless”
He didn't even bother focusing on Azreal or Kyle anymore since Kyle was already dead and Azreal was already on the verge of death.
‘Is Maseru going to come save me again?’
His eyelids started feeling heavy he had to force himself to keep them open, he just felt so calm.
The sword that wasn't too far away from him started glowing as it slowly edges closer and closer to him until it came in contact with his fingers.
One by one the spirits all came out of the sword, starting from the weakest ones they slowly turned into energy and entered his body to heal his wounds.
Steam visibly rose from the sound as the demi’s one by one sacrificed themselves to save him by the time the last demi entered his body his wounds stopped bleeding.
Sadie and Dustin followed in quick succession when Sadie was absorbed his wounds had completely healed and the extra energy filled up his energy reserves.
A feeling of ecstasy washed over him like he’d just broken through his limits that same came a few more times before it finally stopped and a calm feeling washed over him.
In that moment he felt completely at peace, even though he was in the middle of a war zone where he could die at any moment he didn't feel like moving at all unlike this feeling from before when he was dying this one made him feel completely alive.

But when Dustin’s spirit still entered his body, the once calm atmosphere was completely shattered as the energy in his body started to rage.
Gurgle!
Azreal was forced to sit up as he started vomiting up black blood.
Everything around him felt like it was spinning as he kept vomiting non-stop, the energy in his body refused to calm down no matter how hard he tried.
It felt even worse than having his gut ripped out.
In the sky above dark clouds started to converge, occasionally a lightning bolt would flash that looked like it wanted to destroy everything in its path.
…………..
When Shawn heard the whistle he stopped smiling and looked at Elk completely serious.
“If you survive this we’ll meet again”
Slowly raising his sword while tightening his grip on the sword.
“Crescent…..Moon…..Slaughter!”
The slash released by the sword this time could not be compared to what came before, the blade light covered a distance of over a kilometer obliterating everything it came in contact with.
Shawn didn't stick around to observe the result of his handy work instead he left while Elk’s vision was obscured to over where whistle originated from.
It didn't take him much time, a few long jumps and he was there.
Shortly after arriving Earlon was approaching from the sky but the moment his eyes met the two figures.
A pillar rose from the ground to catch him in mid-air, not hesitating he jumped in a different direction in one swift motion that looked all too natural.
Why would he jump to his death?
From the air, he couldn't see find Glen anywhere but instead Shawn and Rhyno looking back at him, it didn't take much brain power to figure out that Glen was done for.
And Earlon most certainly didn't plan on dying for a dead man.

“Did get the origin blood?”
Rhyno smiled and nodded.
“Let's go”
That was all that needed to be said before they both leaped into the air.
When they were about a mile or so from the dome Rhyno stopped while Shawn kept going.
His entire body started turning red as steam noticeably rose from his skin, veins all over his body bulged like they would burst at any moment.
“Bloodbath!”
Shawn started swinging his sword frantically as blood red blade lights shot out each of them is about six feet wide but in terms of power they made the ‘crescent moon slaughter’ look like a light breeze.
When they came in contact with the dome there wasn't even a moment of suspense they directly ripped through it like a piece of paper.
The men that were holding up that area the dome started vomiting blood as the fell unconscious, a ripple effect was formed and the entire dome eventually came down those who weren't vomiting blood were sweating profusely.
A few miles away from the city was a teleportation formation waiting for them.
Shawn was breathing heavily, he had to depend on Rhyno for support.
“Damn I hate using that”
“Too bad”
On a branch, Grimm was sitting in a meditative pose with his eyes close he spoke.
“You all took your time getting here”
“hahaha easy for you to say when you had the easiest job”
Despite being in a weakened state Shawn’s laugh stilled sounded heroic.
When Grimm opened his eyes the version of him in the city started melting, well just the sludge on its body once the sludge was removed underneath it was one of Rhyno’s clones.
“Who’s going to be the one to break the news to Shahiem…..Not it”
“Not it”
Shawn was the slowest to react so the burden fell on him.
Grimm was the last on step inside the portal because was lying down some sludge to destroy the formation after he left.
On the other side of the formation, they reappear in the second city of Gaza "Waterford"
They didn't waste any time immediately going to the queens and Shahiem.
“Where is Adidja?”
Sheba spoke first not even bothering with the formalities.
Everyone kept quiet no one wanted to be the one to explain, this was especially so for Shawn he kept trying to find words but nothing.
“According to the plan his majesty had set depending on the opponents we got we should fight to kill, delay or feign death if I…..my double had gotten Glen the phoenix I should kill him. Anyone else feigns death, if Shawn got anyone except Elk he should kill them and the same for Rhyno”
Grimm paused for a moment to allow what he said to set in.
“In the end, my double fought Earlon so I only kept him occupied for as long as I needed, Shawn got elk so he did the same, Rhyno got Glen so he killed him. His Majesty said that the main priority was the survival of Gaza and his family so we should all show some weakness to give Alliance a sense of security”
Once again he paused.
“I'm sure that what I've said was a lot to take in so I will stop here and as for the question you all want to ask after hearing that we left him in the city with three different opponents…...I don't know”

Tainted Reflections (A Litrpg Portal Apocalypse)
Thirty-five years ago, the world ended. A small subsection of humanity was sent to a brand new world with a game-like system that 'ensured' our survival, and the rest simply disappeared. I fought my way to the upper echelon of levels, made and lost friends over the years, and it finally felt like humanity had carved itself a small foothold in this Godforsaken place. Until one final person died. Until the system reset, and took everything I'd worked so damn hard for with it. I found myself staring at a face I barely recognized as my own, and the Earth began to end once again. Updates every day Monday thru Friday.

New Game (Reborn as a Reluctant Demon Lord, Book 1)
Portal Fantasy. Isekai. A daydream of nerds everywhere, leaving behind their boring world and living in a fantasy one that is full of adventure. A daydream that became a reality for me and 1000 other Comic-Con attendees. Except for me, it was more of a nightmare. Wanting nothing more than to find a way home, and also saddled with being the world's new [Demon Lord], I found myself trapped in a gamelike world and also somehow a part of the [Hero's] party. So join me as I tell the tale of my struggles. A tale of levels and skills. A tale of cagey game admins and bugs. And a tale of our party's grand quest to defeat... Well... Me. ---- What to expect from this book? 1. A main character who is not overpowered (and instead has to go from near-useless to strong. Not just weak to strong). If you are looking for an OP [Demon Lord] who laughs at his weakling enemies... This isn't for you. 2. A meandering pace as the characters aren't told how a lot of the world works and have to figure it out themselves. (And because there are a lot of characters. Whose idea was it to have a party of 9? I blame Jake) 3. A tragedy. A lot of things are not going to go well for the protagonist. (Not that everything is tragedy all the time. There is humor, laughter, friendship, and even a mascot monster character who got way more popular than I expected. But this is not a story that will leave you uplifted and inspired after every time you read it). ---- Release Schedule and publishing information: Book 1 is complete! I will include a link to book 2 once it has been started. Feel free to give feedback, positive or negative. ---- Other notes Book 1? Yes, this says Book 1. There are probably going to be 3 books. No, the plot as you can guess is not going to be tortured to drag out all the way to book 3. That would be ridiculous. If you can guess the plot of books 2 or 3 at any point before the last chapter of book 1, please use your clairvoyant powers for something more productive. TitusGM? This story is intentionally told under the username TitusGM because the idea is that he was the one actually writing everything down what happened after it all is over. I initially planned to answer everything in character on this site, but that just really didn't work out. If you want an in character response to a comment, simply prefix it with IC: (I also try to leave that as a reminder in the author's note after each new chapter) Cover art? Made by a friend who shall remain nameless at this time by his request
