《Death's Heir》Chapter 36 : Brewing (1)

The rest of the journey to Cornwall was uneventful they weren't attacked, they didn't even talk much on the entire journey, it was incredibly awkward.
Azreal didn't really notice that for the entire he was just replaying the battle in his head over and over again trying to see how it could improve or what he could've done differently.
He's done it hundreds of times and found dozens of areas where he lacked in but no matter how many times he does it he always ends up as the loser in the end but he still continued doing it.
The town they went in Cornwall was just a small uninteresting town where everybody would know everybody.
The buildings were slightly run down which kind of reflected the energy of the town.
The town seemed like the type of place you’d come to die.
For the entire time, they were going through the town they didn't meet a single person but they could see eyes looking out through cracks at them from inside the buildings as well as see shadows moving around.
"Wow....this place must've been through a lot"
Sadie tried to break the tension but no one responded.
When they got to the town their client instructed them to go over to a dilapidated inn, which looked worst than the rest of the town.
Before the client went inside they were instructed not to enter the inn no matter what, just stand guard.
"I'm gonna take a walk"
The moment the client went inside Azreal said that and just turned around and walked off without waiting for a response.
"Hey wait you can't jus-"
Before Sadie could finish Reyner tapped her on her shoulder and shook his head, he didn't give her a chance to question him before he turned to Dustin.

"It should be okay to talk now right?"
Dustin waited a while until he could no longer sense Azreal.
Then with a nod he began to explain to them from when he first glimpsed Azreals book all the way up to what he saw Azreal do to the Alliance soldiers.
At first, Reyner didn't really understand what the point of the story was, then his thoughts were roughly the same as Dustin when he first saw Azreals book but when he heard what happened to the Alliance soldiers his back was drenched in cold sweat, he was shocked out of his witts.
Unknowingly all three of them were looking in the direction Azreal had just walked off in.
.........
At this time over in The Alliance capital.
A beautiful woman was walking the castle halls, she was dressed in a typical European medieval dress that royalty would wear.
Her every movement was done with the utmost elegance while she was walking her head was held high, she didn't even glance at the servants that greeted her much less reply.
When the woman got into her room she let out a deep breath and started to undress but she stopped midway because of an annoying sound.
It was the sound of water dripping and it was getting closer to her.
Without out any hesitation, she pulled a dagger out of thin air and threw it in the direction of the sound.
A millisecond later a puncturing sound was heard followed by a small a grunt and thumping sound.
When the woman saw the face of the person who she'd just stabbed with the digger as well as the condition he was in she immediately started screaming and to his fallen body.
"Kyle what happened!?"
All that was coming from his mouth was a few grunt his face looked very pale, he'd lost a lot of blood.

When the servants from outside heard her scream they ran inside accompanied by a few guards.
"Get out!! All of you get out!!"
The guards and the servants didn't dare tarry after confirming that she was fine they immediately left the room.
A few of the guards ran off to inform the king but knowing the relationship between the king and queen nothing would happen.
For an average god, it would be simple to stop the bleeding and only slightly difficult to regenerate the lost limb but kyles method was simpler but it also had its drawbacks.
He didn't have to go through the process of regrowing a new limb so long as the one he'd lost wasn't destroyed it would return to him, meaning the severed limb where ever it was would slowly start to deteriorate and slowly regrow.
To put it simply parts of the severed limb would slowly start to disappear and the parts that disappeared would appear back on him.
The greater the distance the longer it took but this time it was different because Azreal had tossed the arm into his space ring the connection with it was temporarily severed.
The woman couldn’t do much all she could was use her Divine Energy to try and forcefully seal up the wound since Kyle couldn’t do it himself.
After about an hour or two the wound still wasn’t closed and Kyle still lookd as pale as before.
Seeing this she became frighten she didn’t know what do do any more.
“Call a doctor now!”
Swift movement could be heard from behind the door as the servants rushed off.
"Kyle what happened, who did this to you?"
Although she tried to suppress her frantic state and anger it could still be heard in her voice.
"Ga...za....."
"Gaza? What happened! Did they do this to you!?"
When Gaza was mentioned the anger that she was forcefully trying to suppress flared up again.
"A...z..el"
His wound hadn't been close his body was getting weak from all the blood loss.
When he tried to say Azreal all the veins in his body stood up and his eyes turned bloodshot.
The rate at which he was bleeding sped up.
"Calm down brother, your wound will only get worst"
Even though she was also angry question her brother like this would only lead to his quick death.
"Here take this and rest for a while"
What she gave him was a pill with a blue liquid inside it, after a few seconds, he fell asleep.
When Kyle fell unconscious the rate at which his Divine Energy circulate slowed down and so did his bleeding.
Seen this the woman released a sigh of relief.
She wanted to use her Divine Energy to prompt his body to stop the bleeding but it didn’t help if anything it made it worst and with every circulation a tiny bit of her Divine Energy would disappear.
She had no choice but to stop the doctor would soon be here and her brother wouldn’t bleed out by then.
Her fingernails were digging into her the palm of her hand.
‘I swear Adidja that if you or your nation is involved in this in any way shape or form that I, Ellaena will ensure that you never have another peaceful day, I swear this to you!’

Kichiro's Rampage
Meet Kichiro, the son of a samurai. A social outcast, he leaves his home with nothing but a musket and a sword, determined to carve himself a niche in a chaotic world of dragons and leviathans. This fiction incorporates LitRPG elements, but it's not set in a VR. It's set in a fantastical world based loosely on East Asia in the 16th and 17th Century, when the Ming Dynasty was on its last legs, with the addition of magic and monsters. I totally stole the stat tables from Exterminatus, the author of Everybody Loves Large Chests, so let me credit him for that. I'm new to writing so please don't hesitate to criticise, and reviews would be greatly appreciated.

His Trophy | Jerome Valeska
"Oh and Jim, Jim Gordon?" Jerome peered into the camera as if to yell out to an audience: "I have Rory here," he turned the camera towards Jim's daughter and revealed to the audience a girl that had been beaten and tormented, she was gaged and her eyes didn't look at the camera but above the lens; at Jerome who was holding the camera."Say hi to Daddy, doll face," he jeered from behind the camera. She looked down the lens and shook her head as if to tell Jim not to try. The camera went back to Jerome."She's a beauty isn't she, Jimbo," Jerome smirked into the camera, his laughter becoming harsh and wild: "and she's all mine, you try anything, and I mean anything, I kill her. She's my prisoner, my reward, and you're not taking her away from me Jimmy boy, on no, not this time" his words were spoken through waves of laughter.***Rory Gordan is the stepdaughter of Jim Gordon. Her mother moved a lot so Rory was born in Gotham City but raised in England and from the age of 10 she had been bouncing from one country to another with her mother. However, when she turned 17 she had grown tired of the constant change of moving and decided to move to America. It was when she was visiting her long term boyfriend when her life got flipped upside down, not only did she meet one of the craziest boys on the planet, but she discovered that she had a gift that would curse her forever. This story is a collection of scenes rather than a flowing plot, so its chronological but it skips scenes and jumps back and forth between different perspectives. The story is under editing, so it'll get more cohesive over time.••• I do not own any characters or plot lines from the tv show. However, all original characters like Rory do belong to me.Total Word Count [33,674]
