《Death's Heir》Chapter 8: Parting

When Maseru just got up without saying anything Azreal assumed it was because he didn't want to talk about the nether realm.
Walking into the house living room behind Maseru, Azreal saw some things placed on the table but decided not to pay attention to them for now but instead to ask a question that he probably should've asked a long time ago.
"Why did you bring me here? You said that this place is the home of the Divine but I'm just human"
Maseru's smile only grew wider as Azreal voiced his question.
"Oh boy you are so much more than you know so much more; as for why I brought you here your going to be my heir"
Maseru spoke in a calm tone as if it was something that he should've already know but Azreal was completely taken aback, his heir?
"Your Heir?"
Azreal asked with a bit hesitant
"Yes but never mind that now take a look at these"
Looking at the table there were only three things on the table; A katana, A Dagger, and A Ring. Obviously confused by the objects on the table all Azreal could do was look towards Maseru for an explanation.
"These are yours the katana and the dagger don't really have a name their names are given by their masters and since you're their new master that would be your responsibility as for this it's storage ring"
Azreal was honestly not surprised by what Maseru had just said, after everything that he'd heard and seen over the past few days this felt completely normal.
Picking up the storage ring and taking a good look at it, it had a very simple design expect for a few runes on it and also a skull on the front with rubies for its eyes.

Although he couldn't understand the runes he was pretty sure that they didn't represent anything good.
Putting the storage ring on his little finger he then moved on to pick up the katana; it looked completely normal its casing was completely black with no ornaments or designs on it, taking it out of its sheath.
It was the complete opposite of its sheath the blade was filled with groves running all over it and inside those groves were the exact same runes as on the ring with a few more ominous ones.
Gazing at the sword for a while Azreal couldn't help but look up at the old man who in turn only smiled and nodded, so Azreal placed the sword back in its sheath and moved towards the dagger.
The dagger looked just as simple as the katana on the outside, so he took the blade out of its sheath thinking it would be the same as the katana simple on the outside but completely different on the inside and to his disappointment it looked completely normal on the inside too.
"Before I send you on your way there are something's that I should tell you but that would just draw this out longer than it needs to be so"
Before he sends me on my way?....
Before Azreal could voice his thoughts aloud Maseru had already placed a finer right between his brow on his forehead, Azreal was about to ask what he was doing but he felt a warm sensation running through his mind then new information that he didn't know before started popping up and then the sensation started going all over his body.
At the same time, he felt a surge of incredible energy flowing through his body.
Without giving Azreal a chance to analyze what was going on Maseru took out a coin and gave it to him.

The coin was completely purple with two hands opened wide on one side and a double-headed scythe on the other side
"Flip it; hands south, scythe north"
Azreal didn't really think he just flipped with the coin.
Scythe.
Not at all sure what this meant Azreal looked up toward Maseru only to see a big smile plastered all across his face and Enron standing behind him with a smile equally as large.
Looking at the two smiling in front of him Azreal became alarmed because a deep sense of fear started rising from the bottom of his heart.
"Why are you both looking at me lik-"
Before he could finish what he wanted to say he felt a frigid cold coming from his back enough to turn a person into a human popsicle.
Hesitating before taking a look at what was behind him only to see a blue portal with snowflakes coming from it, covering the floor in snow.
It was almost identical to the one that had he had put pushed into before but unlike last time he didn't feel a gentle push but a heavy boot on his back sending him into the portal.
"Will he be okay"
Enron asked Maseru clearly concerned about the boys' safety. Waving his hands at Enron to show his lack of interest.
"He'll be fine, if he were to die this easily then that simply means he was unworthy beside I started the process of unlocking his powers and I even passed the basic information for using his powers onto him and I even gave him Dante's dagger and sword so if he died when he was just that worthless"
Enron looked at Maseru as if he was looking at a madman, He's your grandson!!!!!
"He needs to know what kind of place he's living from now and harden his heart. I won't shelter him from it all he will learn to run, jump and fly on his own after all In the end only the strong can survive."
He completely understood what Maseru was saying and he didn't disagree with him in the slightest but he still couldn't help but feeling that it was too soon.
"I'm going to take a nap"
Maseru got up and was in the process of walking out of the room
"you said you gave him the katana and dagger right?"
"Yes, Why?"
"Then what are these on the table?"
Turning around to look at the table and realizing that the dagger and sword were still there, he wasn't worried in the slightest instead he started laughing hard.
"Do you want me to take them to him?"
"No, it already passed I suppose he wasn't supposed to bring them with him, now he's probably going to die for sure"
After laughing for a good while he finally calmed down and left the room heading off to sleep.
Enron was still standing there indecisive about what to do but in the end, he left the sword and dagger on the table and went about his usual business.

GIG: God In Gold
So let's cut the pretense: this is some garbage-tier weaboo fiction. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I feel it's important to say that this is some nonsense I write for fun. I don't think it's very good. I'd even go as far as to say that I'm not a good writer at all. I picked up a ball that started rolling when I was a kid and have been intermittently punting it towards the next chapter whenever I feel like it. And you can come on this garbage ride too if you really feel like it. Who knows, maybe there's some gold to be salvaged from this dumpster fire? Synposis: Satou Shibuya is a first year student at Niflheim's Kawagusa General Academy. He's also the self-proclaimed strongest power user, sporting a big enough number on his birth certificate to make a nuclear bomb glow green with envy. There's something to be said about a person whose head is so far up their own ass that you find yourself watching their every move with bated breath, ever curious to see which hole they'll dig themselves into next. This is not that kind of story. This is a story about pride, coming of age, but actually, this is a story about big, stupid superpowered fights. Update Schedule: Whenever.

Stairway to Heaven
Humans are complicated, awfully fragile beings, far too weak to survive amid the other extraterrestrials that lie dormant across the galaxies. Instead of physical altercations, they would rather engage in verbal abuse, breaking an individual's psyche as a hobby. They excel at deception and manipulation, far too interested in bringing their brothers and sisters down and reaching for the top of their self-made hierarchies. Beyond their questionable nature and moral compasses, they long to find meaning in their lives and put names to the feelings that drive each passing moment. They are insatiable—far too greedy for more knowledge and a supposed understanding of their lives. It's pitiable, really, the way they struggle to find themselves while ravaging their kind through petty wars and conflicts built off of misunderstanding. Humans are complicated, awfully fragile beings. They created words and languages to fill the holes that lived inside their souls, desperate for ways to find meaning in their incredibly short lifespans. They'll waste their entire lives trying to find their so-called passions and reasons for living, acting as if they truly rule the way their lives go, supposed "controllers of their own destiny." Yet, they cannot evade the inevitable visit from death, who stands next to them, ticking the seconds down until their demise.
