Chapter 13: Adventure Mode!
In a thick forest far to the northern side of Zarc, we could hear multiple footsteps trailing behind us. Footsteps were one thing, but the loud clattering of steel accompanying those forelimbs made us retreat.
“Remi, forget about the horse, dammit! I’ll apologize to Roxis later!”
“We just can’t!”
As the three of us explosively run away, I came to the realization, that we should just abandon this fine breed of a horse that Roxis lent me to buy us some time. Let it be monster feed while the three us of escape.
“Kansouke, in front!!”
Meles’ voice came with a bad sign.
From within that clear passage of trees appeared a muscular figure, twice as tall as I am, wearing a horrid expression that exhibit its canine fangs—a kobold warrior! With each arm that was covered in oceanic fur comes with a crude weapon; a stone club and a sword on the other.
Shit! We’re not in a position to change directions!
Meles swiftly pulled the two short swords hanging on her girdle and assaulted the monster before us. While she camouflaged herself between one tree and the other, I charged forward with my sword drawn, trying to keep its attention focused on me, and me alone.
The sword that I raised up high flashed like verdant green, and the sword itself was wrapped by a deadly gust of wind!
“Hraaaaa!!”
*Voom!*
Its as if the very land itself shook when I intercepted the monster’s sword arm! But while I paralyzed one arm, the other arm threw a deadly attack that would’ve have surely killed me had it struck me fair, but an arrow coated in wind blew past my head and struck it’s arm, around the elbow, midair.
“Graaaaa!!”
The monster crumpled in agony, but it was only for a moment. That slight delay however, was enough for me to recover and sliced its arm, further drowning the kobold warrior in agony. It’s sword arm that was torn apart sprayed blood, and at the same time, the monster slowly fell on the ground. More blood sprayed, and it’s head clumsily detached from it’s muscular torso.
What stood over the monster corpse was a brown skinned girl with blood red eyes. The length of her jet black hair sticking out of her gigantic hood was hard to estimate, but her curly side hair falling to her waist made me think that it was long.
She wore a black dress with a bluish accent and a black leather micro skirt—that was quite revealing by the way— held by a big black leather belt that matches her dress’ big collar, which usually covers her mouth.

While wearing a blank expression, a pair of red pupils stare into my own. And as if I was blown away by the moment, I stood frozen in place— Just like how a hunter watches it prey, I could not move.
“Good job…”
I forced those words of praise to leave my mouth.
Although we’ve successfully cleared the enemy in front, that doesn’t imply that we’ve already lost our pursuers. With each passing second, the monstrous footsteps were getting closer and closer.
Heaving, soaked in monster blood, I retraced my steps and rushed forward to Remi’s direction.
“Meles, how many monsters are chasing us?”
“I could not properly verify, but it should be around twenty in total. Should I search and destroy?”
At times like these is where Meles is so reliable, yet I couldn’t help but think that I’m driving her deeper to insanity the more monster I let her kill. The smile and expression she just made on top of that blood were absolutely terrifying, much more so compare to the monster that we just killed.
Still, our current predicament does not give us the luxury of choosing.
“Alright, but if you come across a group of more than five, don’t push yourself and retreat.”
“Understood.”
The moment she said that, she disappeared as quick as a gust of wind. For the time being, I ran towards Remi, who was busy shaving off some persistent kobolds with her bow. Compare to the one that we just disposed, these ones are of a smaller variety, but their nimbleness makes them quite the deadly combination.
“Remi, cover me!”
“Roger~”
I swiftly positioned myself and attacked the kobold monsters. Just like a sharp whip, the wind behind the sharpness of this sword made each slash an instant kill.
With Remi’s arrow securing my path, I was able to easily defeat the incoming monsters one by one. Kobold by kobold writhed down on the rockery floor, now in a rapidly expanding pool of blood.
In a quick instant, only one kobold was left standing.
I gave the cowering kobold one last glance before I leveled my sword up in air.
“Sorry…”
And just like that, I cut him down where he begged and proceeded to wipe the gore off my blade.
In a span of a few minutes, I had murdered a small pack of kobolds as if it was nothing. I’ve resolved myself not to think about it, but this blood hindering my vision and these hands of mine dyed red drove me to question my humanity.
Is a human being really possible of such evil? But we needed to survive before anything else.

Instead of brooding about things, I went to check on Remi. For now, I erased the wicked thought forming in my mind.
“Are you hurt?”
Even though I said that, I couldn’t quite calm the shaking of my hands myself.
“Nothing too major. But I’m surprised, I didn’t know the two of you were this capable. At first I was having my doubts on whether we could really finish this request, but if things go smoothly like this, we’ll be done in no time~”
“I’m not too sure. If Meles isn’t here, we could have died already.”
“And yet you were planning to do this by yourself. Doesn’t that make you more insane?”
Remi looked at me with a perplexed gaze.
Maybe I had never displayed this type of stiff expression around her and she had always seen me as a perverted idiot, but even I know the weight of our actions.
I mean, we just waltzed here in their forest, bothered them in their meal, and now we had killed them. No matter what angle you look into, we’re completely the bad guys here. And yet because their monster and we’re humans, it’s okay to twist that thought around.
Ah, I feel like throwing up.
I’m thankful at least that our horse has survived this ordeal.
“Sorry, lets just wait for Meles in a much safer area.”
I disregarded Remi’s worried gaze and dragged the horse behind my back.
By the time we have finished working on a campfire, it had already turned nightfall. I watched as Remi scatter some sort of pollen around the vicinity of our camp.
“What’s that?”
I curiously inquired.
“A monster repellent. This was something I made myself out of curiosity back in my younger days. Monster’s are allergic to its smell, so it helps to thwart them away at night.”
“Younger days? You speak as if you were old.”
Remi turned her head on my words and she curved her lips to a childish pout, openly displaying her displeased face for me to enjoy.
“Older than you at least!”
Yep, it was that sort of delicious face.
“So, I was wondering, why are the two of you suddenly so close? Did something happened while I was away? I’m happy, yet I’m curious at the same time.”
For the past three days that we traveled together, I sensed something was amiss on how they treat each other. Those giggles, those smiles, and those stares. It’s as if the two of them were plotting something behind my back.
Of course, I do not want to think like that, but if you're sexually depraved like I do, you couldn’t help but think too deeply.
One word. Suspicious.
“N…Nothing happened…”
Her verbal stuttering just further intensified my doubts. At any cost, I would have her spill the beans!
And how do I plan to interrogate her, you say? Simple, by fondling her boobs!
My fingers started to move in a more “dangerous” way. Slowly, I approached Remi just like how I did when we first met. The perverse aura leaking out of me was so intense, even I could feel her skin crawl in a distance.
I really hope I’m not drooling~
“Hahaha…”
Soon after that idiotic laugh of mine, a petite figure appeared in that menacing darkness. When the moon fully illuminated this figure, the stench of metal and blood wafted in the air.
It was Meles. As usual, she’s drenched in blood.
“Yo, welcome back.”
Meles did not return my greeting. She only continued walking until it was enough for her to slumped on my arms.
“―Meles?!”
I caught her instinctively.
At the same time, fear immediately resided in my brain.
“Remi, can you check if Meles is hurt…?”
Because she clung to me tightly, I could not properly move my arms.
But that blonde bombshell just snickered when I threw such a tense reaction. She put a hand on her mouth and was languidly staring at us with a mocking expression.
“Kansouke, did I do a good job?”
Meles murmured in a tone that I almost couldn’t hear.
“Err… Yeah, good job.”
It couldn’t be helped, girl’s in puberty like Meles liked to be praised. Even her breast is still in the growing phase.
Well, lets see how much she’s grown in the past few days that I wasn’t able to inspect~
I gathered her in my arms and carefully set her back against a tree. As if I was taken in by my worldly desires, I immediately stripped her off that tight skirt, revealing an undergarment attached with white laces.
It was a different pantie from the one that I’ve always seen.
Mufufufu………
―Bang!*
Just when I was about to reveal that treasure trove, a sudden knee kick hit me on the back of my neck.
Because of the deadly impact, I was blown away, and bounced on the dirt, face first…
The hell? My vision swaying in circles as if I had a nausea.
The only thing that’s clear was my consciousness rapidly drifting away……
Ah……………
And thus, I was plunged into a world of panties.
