《Moonlit sky》Chapter 28 - Little trust

"It's going to rain." There was a soft voice behind Tenebris who sat crossleged on the ground in front of school basement.
"I can see that, why are you here?" Responded coldly Tenebris without turning around.
"I love rainy mornings, they make me want to go back to sleep, what about you?" Said Diana as she sat beside Tenebris while looking up to the sky.
"What do you want from me, or do you just want to talk about the rain?"
"I want to know you better, i know next to nothing about you and would it really hurt you to be a little nicer to other people?"
"And what do i gain from being nice to people, their opinion might change for better of me but it wont benefit me in any way."
"It might not benefit you materially, but would it really hurt to have some friends, to have someone to share your troubles and burdens."
"Is that what you want, to share my troubles and burdens? How naive, you don't even know how big my burden is and you want a share of it."
"That is why i want to know you better, or do you find me so untrustworthy you can't say anything about yourself out of your own fears and paranoia."
"And why should you know me better, just so you can betray me better later? You can betray me just fine with this amount of information you have on me."
"And why do you immediately think i will betray you if i know you better?"
"You are a human and that's what humans do, each human is born with a little traitor inside of them."
"Is that so, i wont negate that, but with that frame of mind you wont get any friends you know, and what about you, are you also a traitor like everybody else?"

"Friends? Your naive way of thinking is so cute i find it pathetic, is that your goal? To become my friend, is that why you want to know me better? What benefit you have from it, i will provide support for you until the day we leave this place anyway."
"Is that so, i find your way of thinking naive."
"That is your own opinion that has no relevance to me at all."
"I wonder what happened to you that made you like this."
"People afraid of water once almost drowned, therefor they have fear of water."
"I don't think that is your case, you are not afraid of betrayal, in contrary you invite betrayal you want to be betrayed so much, its just like that you want to prove a point, who caused you this much pain that now you detest everything that might seem warm to you."
"Chain of traitors, one after another, and in the end when i thought there was no one else left to betray me i was betrayed by one i couldn't afford to be betrayed by, and that costed me my life." After brief moment of silence Tenebris continued. "Trust has a price, a price i can't afford to pay any longer."
"See, was that so hard? You told me something about yourself, even though i don't quite understand it, i will some day and that day you wont regret having someone you can trust, someone you can talk to."
"Persistent aren't you, but why do you want to know about me so much, what is your goal?"
"Goal?! Huh, yes you might say i have a goal in mind, but if you want to know there is a price to pay you know?"
"Everything in this world has a price, name yours."
"You cant afford to pay it now, i will tell you once you clear this dungeon."
"Do you value yourself so much that you think that your thought is that expensive?"
"No, i value you that much..." Said Diana as she sat up and went back into basement.
Value me that much, huh... Okay i will give you a bit of trust as a reward for this talk, don't disappoint me little girl...

Understanding a cultivation world
A modern man armed with having read a few novels about cultivation is suddenly transmigrated to a cultivation world. He fights to both survive and thrive in this new archaic world full of arrogant young masters, demonic sects, and incredibly hostile wildlife. Note: In this story, I wanted to focus a lot more on what most novels skim past in regards to cultivation, namely the whole, spiritual growth aspect that seems to be entirely absent from the prosses of obtaining enlightenment the majority of the time, but the method of gaining cultivation. how it works, and what kind of world would develop around it are all things I wish to explore in this novel.

Homeland
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER -- In Cory Doctorow’s wildly successful Little Brother, young Marcus Yallow was arbitrarily detained and brutalized by the government in the wake of a terrorist attack on San Francisco—an experience that led him to become a leader of the whole movement of technologically clued-in teenagers, fighting back against the tyrannical security state.A few years later, California's economy collapses, but Marcus’s hacktivist past lands him a job as webmaster for a crusading politician who promises reform. Soon his former nemesis Masha emerges from the political underground to gift him with a thumbdrive containing a Wikileaks-style cable-dump of hard evidence of corporate and governmental perfidy. It’s incendiary stuff—and if Masha goes missing, Marcus is supposed to release it to the world. Then Marcus sees Masha being kidnapped by the same government agents who detained and tortured Marcus years earlier.Marcus can leak the archive Masha gave him—but he can’t admit to being the leaker, because that will cost his employer the election. He’s surrounded by friends who remember what he did a few years ago and regard him as a hacker hero. He can’t even attend a demonstration without being dragged onstage and handed a mike. He’s not at all sure that just dumping the archive onto the Internet, before he’s gone through its millions of words, is the right thing to do.Meanwhile, people are beginning to shadow him, people who look like they’re used to inflicting pain until they get the answers they want. Fast-moving, passionate, and as current as next week, Homeland is every bit the equal of Little Brother—a paean to activism, to courage, to the drive to make the world a better place.
