《Moonlit sky》Chapter 25 - First batch

"So what happened inside? We couldn't enter, there was some invisible barrier in front and it said something about raid encounter in progress." Voiced Ishida once he saw Tenebris walking out of the storehouse.
"There was a boss inside, it's alright now i already killed it, you can collect everything inside, once you collect it we will split it and part ways." Answered calmly Tenebris as he sat down on the staircase.
"What do you mean you killed it? How is it possible for one person to kill a boss, that shouldn't be possible, there never was a game that made it possible." Said shocked blonde guy.
"You are right, it shouldn't be possible, for you." Answered arrogantly Tenebris.
"Pretentious dick." Mumbled quietly in response blonde guy.
"Anyway, just meet me upstairs once you are done, let's go..." Said Tenebris as he went upstairs.
After walking for a short while Diana spoke: "Actually I am also wondering how you did it, there are some games where a specific class could kill a boss alone, but they would have to be a lot stronger than that boss, but apocalypse, no, this game just started, there wasn't enough time for you to get overwhelmingly powerful, so how did you do it."
"Isn't it a simple answer, if I didn't get powerful in this game, then i was even before it?" Spoke Tenebris without turning around.
"Yes, that would be true, just what were you doing before this game?"
"Hehe, let's consider it my little secret." Tenebris turned around and spoke with a teasing smile on his face.
"A little secret? How can you call this little, being this OP* even before the game started, it is anything but little..." Said flustered Diana.

"That's enough Diana, if he was willing to tell us he would've said already, so don't try to find out." Spoke calmly Tomm.
Diana stayed quiet and Tenebris sat calmly on the ground with his eyes closed, not long after cafeteria party came upstairs and started piling up packed food.
"This should be all." Said Ishida. "If you don't believe me you can check it yourself."
"There's no need for that, you are not a liar. As agreed we will take half of the portions and leave rest with you, we will also take one large fridge with us." Answered Tenebris.
"Are you sure that's alright? We did nothing and we get half the food."
"It was yours to begin with, you just didn't claim it until now, besides, i might be many things, but i am not a liar."
"If that is what you wish for, but i want to talk to you about my offer earlier, about you joining our group, but let me change it a little, how about we join your group?"
"Interesting, i guess you have something more to say so continue."
"I want to know what would our position be in your group, what benefits and responsibilities would we get?"
"I have no interest in useless people." Said Tenebris as he glanced over to blonde guy before continuing. "Therefore if you can't prove yourself useful i don't intend on sheltering you. As for your position it would be divided, i currently need scouts, guards, cooks and someone handy with hands, jobs would be ranked, everyone starts with one star rank and get their ranked raised with their own abilities, you might even be part of core raid group, that is if you live long enough for that."

"That sounds promising, now let's talk in currency, would we get paid and how?"
"Previous monetary system is most likely invalid now, and there is new in-game currency, but all the coins we get will go straight to me for further improvement of the main group, which would of course increase survivability of all side groups, all contributions will be submitted and noted down, once i find someone willing to do that job, later on you will be able to use your own contribution points in ways you see fit, but that's all in the future, but first we have to clear this school and get out."
"You seem like you have a plan, and pretty detailed one, i would like to join your group with the rest of my group if they are willing, that is of course if you will allow us."
"Good, later give me briefing about everyone's jobs or professions and they will be assigned accordingly, we are located in school basement, you can move all the food there and after that we will talk some more."
"Deal, you heard him guys, lets get started."
"But, Ishida, do we really need to join this maniac?" Asked quietly blonde guy.
"Marcus, if you don't want to you don't need to, you can try and find another group to join, but my opinion is that this guy is strongest guy you can possibly find here, so i will take cover under his wings, maybe it will turn out right, or maybe not, but i know that he is my best option." Answered Ishida.
"What so special about this guy?"
"I can see huge amount of killing intent around him, but i can't sense or feel it, do you know how hard would it be to hide that huge amount of killing intent so no one can feel it?"
"Natural killer, a monster..." Mumbled Marcus.
"Exactly, and if he isn't my enemy, then i'll do my best to make him my friend." Spoke Ishida as he went off to give further instructions to rest of his group.

Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
8 107The Stone of Predestination
In a world very similar to our own, the Energy is the driving force of many big and small miracles, and the people who control it are revered, loved and hated by the ones born un-gifted. Karil is an orphan and would give anything, even his own life, to become one of the masters of the Energy. At the day of the final exam, he is reviled the horrible truth – he does not have the gift. But is that really so? Karil plunges in a turbulent adventure trough woods, deserts, and sometimes even through his own mind, looking for the answer to the question who, or rather what he is. But nothing is what it seems – friends are enemies, enemies are friends, his parents are not exactly his parents, and the border between good and evil disappears. And over all this looms the shadow of The Stone of Predestination – the greatest weapon ever created. There is no time to lose! The Stone must not fall into the Master’s hands, or something really, really bad would happen. This fiction won't be updated regularly due to my own circumstances and while I will try to update it often, I won't always be able to. That being said I hope you enjoy this little work of mine. I'm not an experienced, and don't consider myself a good author in any way. But hopefully some people will enjoy this fiction like I do writing it, regardless of that.
