《Moonlit sky》Chapter 24 - Still paying the price

"Before you run of because you are too lazy to explain yourself, there is one minor thing you forgot to do." Spoke Lulu.
"And what is that?" Answered annoyed Tenebris.
"Dismember the corpse, there are some valuable materials from that corpse you know, you could use them if you manage to get out alive from this dungeon."
"And what makes you think i won't?"
"Well you are stupid, that for sure won't help you."
"Jeez thanks, i always know i can count on you to cheer me up." Answered Tenebris sarcastically. "Let's go then, you will tell me what parts to keep, blackie finish of the squirming spiders here and loot their corpses, i'll meet you at entrance." Said Tenebris as he walked of back to the boss corpse.
When he arrived at the corpse Lulu fluttered in front of him and started pointing out at the corpse.
"Look it has sharp and durable legs, you could make spears or javelins out of that, its pincers are sharp you could make daggers, its carapace is hard you can make shield out of it, but most importantly, you forgot to take orb out of her, you think bosses have normal orbs? Well they don't, it should have at least high grade orb."
"So, 8 javelins, 2 daggers a shield and a high grade orb, anything else?"
"Well you might extract it's eyes and eat them, there's a slight chance to improve your vision with that, also its poison sack might be useful, for either poison or poison resistance, your choice." Spoke Lulu with matter-of-fact face.
"If that's all then shut up, i would appreciate some silence while i work." Said Tenebris as he pulled out his sword and started cutting the corpse, few minutes later he finished dismembering corpse and stuffed all of it into his bag. Spider legs couldn't fit in so they were pointing out of the bag and part of spider carapace was hanging on his back.

"I didn't really think it would have first rate high grade shadow orb, your luck is really good, with this you might make a minor permanent rune enchantment."
"A rune enchantment?"
"Yes, there are runes that you can engrave on your weapons or armor to increase their performance or your stats, depends what rune you use and to what degree can your enchanted object use that rune. Really strong spiritual objects can make stunning things with a simple minor rune, but trash objects even with major rune enchanted won't be able to do much, that is if they don't break while being enchanted."
"So even that is possible? Interesting, i will try it out later."
"You wish, you don't know a single rune, you didn't even bother meditating to gain runes since you came to this world."
"What do you mean came to this world?" Suddenly a weak voice was heard in front of them.
"She meant ever since i left the abyss world." Spoke Tenebris as he looked at Lulu seriously. "Don't listen to her, she speaks a lot of unclear rubbish, did you clear everything blackie?"
"Yes, there is about fifty or so medium grade orbs and some silver coins, oh yes i also found this at the bottom of the pile of corpses you left for me, its a pair of gloves, check it out." Said Diana as she tossed a pair of gloves towards Tenebris.
"Inspect."
Gloves of Night Set item

"Damn this luck of yours is surely godly, are you sure you aren't some immortal reincarnation? 3 parts of the set already, you are halfway there, the only problem is you have 3 minor set parts, it would be awesome if you got at least one major part." Said excitedly Lulu.

"Start explaining, minor and major parts of set?" Asked Tenebris with deadpan expression.
"Oh right i didn't mention that before, well most of 6 part sets have 4 minor parts and 2 major ones, minor parts are boots, cloak, helm and gloves while major parts are chest and legs, and you my dear stupid master have already 3 minor parts."
"What is the difference between minor and major parts?" Interrupted Diana.
"First of, there are set bonuses that are unlocked once you link certain parts of set, linking all the minor parts will give you a minor boost, but if you add a major part in that combination, major part acts like a core between minor parts and makes a firmer link which adds more bonuses, also major parts give more stats on their own than minor parts. Think of a set as a tree, legs are tree trunk that gives stability, chest is core of the tree where branching starts and minor parts are all the branches, but considering your luck you won't have to wait too long before you get full Night set, although its one of minor sets it can be quite usefull once you gather it as a whole."
"And how do you know that?" Asked Tenebris.
"I'm your consult pet you idiot, and i told you i'm not just any consult, i'm practically an error in this system." Spoke Lulu with a glee smile on her face.
"Can i get a pet like her?" Asked Diana with a pleading eyes.
"You can have her, i'm already sick and tired of her." Answered Tenebris as he rolled his eyes.
"Just go find a smart creature and beat it into submission, you will get your battle pet that way, but if you want a consult pet you will have to wait until novice village where you can buy one, only this moron has enough luck to get one without buying it."
"But i'm still paying the price..." Mumbled Tenebris as he walked out of the dungeon. Seeing this both Lulu and Diana chuckled and ran out after him.

Author’s Notes: My work is often graphic and mature in nature. I only recommend it for the fans who are not faint of heart. This work will contain swears and violence. Alternative Option: Skip to [Chapter 6 - Introduction] if you would like to meet Wolf while skipping over the extra violent and gory beginnings of this grim adventure. Note for artists: I'd love to feature your content if you decide to do Wolf of the Wasteland art. I'm excited to see what Wolf looks like visualized.
