The guards came rushing in, ready to save their king when he screamed five more crowded behind the first too.
"My King?" The first asked, a elven warrior, when his inspection of the room yeilded no perceived threat.
"Who was in my room today?!" Adam demanded.
"Your Majesty? In your room?" The second was a waterling. They were meant to be water dwellers but one of the other kings from Adam's earth had created a contraption that allows water to constantly flow through their lungs during the great war so that they could join the war on the side of the humans. It had been a turning point in the great war. It also helped cement the thought in the country that the humans were Gods because of their Mecha contraptions.
"YES! In my room! Who was in my ROOM today? How do you not understand what I am saying? You learned English right?!" Adam screeched.
"Yes, your majesty. It was a requirement for the posi-" The waterling bowed as he began to explain but Adam cut him off.
"Answer my DAMNED question!!!"
"King Adam, What is going on?" Sylvar always lurking in the shadows floated into the room in his graceful way and made it to Adam's side.
"Why are you always around me?! I'm sick of being hounded over by-" Sylvar grabbed a hold of Adam's shoulders and held the 23 year old still stopping his rage in it's tracks. Adam lifted his eyes to that fine featured face and the calming presence of his councellor washed over him.
"Would you like to explain to me what's going on?" A sickening feeling washed over Adam when he realized he had to tell to him.
"Someone came into my room." Adam began. Sylvar sent the gaurds back to their posts.

"Oh Adam. Many people come into your room on a daily basis."
"They stole something." Adam continued.
"I'm sure it can be replaced." Sylvar assured Adam. Adam's face twisted in a wince. " What did they steal?" The elf was finally paying a tension. The was concern tinting his voice.
"My chronicles." Adam's voice lowered with urgency and Sylvar's face grew blank with realization.
" I told you not to write your stupid notes. What did you write in there...?" Sylvar hissed leading Adam with an arm around his shoulders towared the balcony, attempting to get away from prying ears. Adam winced.
"Adam... what did you write." Every word was accented, spoken in a low voice demanding answers. Adam sighed....
"Everything...."
Sylvar's eyes shut in disappointment.

Time Can't Heal This
I've always hated the saying "Time heals all wounds." Maybe in most cases that may be true. In my experience with life and pain however, time has only ever bled out the wound. The scars that the wounds left behind though, are often so deep that just looking at them becomes painful to the mind. Time only heals what you let go of. Sometimes letting go and moving on just doesn't feel possible; no matter how much time you let pass you by.These poems signify what time hasn't healed for me.
