《Gratuitous Item Crafting and Descriptions (and shoddy economics)》Mail of Spacial Anomalies and Lukewarm Tea

After a day of relative boredom and consistency, Jimmy wanted to mess about and make something fun. Rather than be focused on making something that was logical and straightforward or sane, he wanted to make something that would be easy enough to sell - thus decided on mail armour. With the glut of Silver Steel, a couple of spare ingots would suffice.
The irony of not wanting to be bored and deciding upon mail armour, which was repetitious in the extreme didn't come upon him for a few rows that would be the part around the neck. He forged the lines of metal and step-by-step added them to each other. He hadn't advanced enough to not require rivets, so he had to do a lot of rivets as he linked the chains.
He sort of spaced out, and pushed on the spacing out feeling, into his work. He intuitively felt a connection between himself and his creation and pushed further, making sure that every link got plenty of that feeling. Empty of space, but sometimes filled with space, and a bit odd. He resolutely avoided thinking too deeply about the sensation as he didn't want to ruin it by trying too hard in the concept but rather the intensity/quantity of it.
Slowly, but steadily the small square expanded to a medium rectangle and soon the neck and theck the shoulders were brought into being. The glowing shine of the metal sintillated with the sun coming through the open side of his forge building. Depending on the ring that had the light. Some didn't even reflect and looked like they were far away and yet he knew that they weren't far away. He forged on. Focused on making sure that the enchantments didn't stop him from completing his work.
Over the course of the day - his 'dad' dropping by with a jug of water and some food to keep him going, and of course the bathroom breaks because he wasn't that obsessed with his work - the Silver Steel mail shirt became complete.

The metal-work wasn't all there was to the creation. There was also the need of having a thick under-coat that would synergize by absorbing the kinetic force, and make it more comfortable and make it so that there was more depth of defense as one could always get a very, very, thin blade or pin to theoretically get through the links in the chain. The chain wasn't extremely fine but rather fairly fine. Having overly fine mail was multiplying the effort required for pretty much the same result in most circumstances, and thicker chain links were tougher and you didn't actually want it to be too fine as otherwise blades would strike the links and cut all the same as the links would just flex in.
So, Jimmy made a gambeson. It didn't take nearly as much time or effort, as he wasn't doing any enchanting and was mostly just revising one of the gambesons he'd picked up a previous day. Adjustments were made such that it would fit perfectly for the intended Mail wearer, and both were designed that they could be tightened with a belt that he was about to make.
This belt was a thick leather belt with normal steel plate covering so that it wasn't easy to cut and it was comfortable and adjustable. Jimmy didn't want to waste Silver Steel on the belt when it wasn't going to be that important for the piece.
Despite it's relative unimportance it was still important enough to get it right, so he carefully scraped and cut and trimmed it to be suitable, and reforged the steel and linked the plates in a very pretty and servicable way. He even added some filligree to the pattern. A Flowery pattern, and he added his Craftsman mark - a bit like his initials.

He then polished the pieces and got a post to hang the completed armour on. Nodding at the Mail, he subconciously released his willpower that had been making the enchantment stay mostly dormant and modifiable. Jimmy sighed in contentment as he grabbed a hot cup of tea from his impressed 'dad' and looked at the Mail of Spacial Anomalies and Lukewarm Tea. Lifting the tea to his lips he immediately spat it out. "I guess that's what the other enchantment was, let's not mention that to the customer."
The Mail was a bit hard to pick up, as Jimmy's hands went full to the shoulders when he first reached for it, and then pulling himself out he banged his head on a different part of it that was for some reason now behind him. Then it wasn't. Then his 'dad' stepped to the side and shifted a meter further than he had been planning on.
"This is rather annoying. I will sell this as soon as possible." His 'dad' agreed.
Concentrating on the Mail, Jimmy made the decision to suppress it so that the two could go back inside their house to sleep. Hopefully it wouldn't cause any mischief when they got up in the morning to hurriedly sell it off - obviously suppressed until it had been sold.
The lucky buyer was a traveling wizard who was very interested in the enchantments and had completed his previous project that was to do with snail's reproductive habits when in the presence of lava mana. His paper had been received with very little fanfare or appreciation, but was for some reason enough to get him some profit. Maybe as comedy?
So, he bought it and would study it and experiment with it for quite some time. He found, eventually that he could direct the anomalies in a direction but he couldn't decide what anomalies were happening. He would eventually realize that his best money making potential was using it on smaller battlefields where the chaos added would make things easier.
He disappeared on a ship to a different continent that had quite a lot of sell-swords and civil wars and other fighting where his strange armour was appreciated - or at the very least not disliked long enough to make money - and he had a modestly decent living, it seemed.
The only thing Jimmy and his 'dad' cared about was paying off the costs of creation and getting rid of it. For that, they were very grateful to the wizard even though they of course pretended like the wizard got the better of the deals

The Long and Exciting Life of Kreet the Kobold (Life 2)
Kreet was originally a D&D character. Life 1 was essentially her backstory. Life 2 picks up just after the events of the D&D campaign in the Underdark. At first you won't recognize the characters, but bear with it for a couple chapters and the few important points will be revealed. Also I stole a player's character (with his permission!) in the form of Sigmundurr. Also, unlike Life 1, I'll be posting this slowly over time. Right now I'm writing around chapter 20 and I suspect I'm only halfway. Tone may be a little different. ( Cover art by KuroNeko I'm pretty sure!)

Live Life Homunclus
The end is not always the end. Nothing is permanent, and even death itself is merely a transition. This fact holds true for a certain young man who died quite tragically on Earth. Lucky for him, a new life was just around the corner. A world filled with magic, adventure, and oh so many dangers awaited. Everything would be perfect, if it wasn't for the fact that he reincarnated into a homunclus. An artificial life-form said to possess almost zero combat capabilities. An exemplary example of pure breed cannon fodder. Surviving in a world where dragons roam the skies and monsters stalk the lands, wasn't this a bit too unreasonable?
