《My Cerberus Girlfriend》Book Two: Chapter 21

“Hey!” Roger shouted again toward the Chimera. “All eyes on me!”

Still, only the lion and goat growled at him while the snake tail hissed at Persephone. The monster must be smarter than how she looked.

Persephone glared at the snake until she took a sprint. The snake flew toward her, but she tossed a green glowing ball toward the snake's face.

The ball exploded, releasing green vines that wrapped around the snake's snort. As the snake shook her head, trying to snap the vines off, Persephone smirked and dashed toward the giant cell door.

What a goddess! Roger watched her until the Chimera turned toward her.

Uh-oh! Roger almost forgot he has to distract the creature, for Persephone's sake.

When the Chimera's snake tail swung in front of him, he jumped and grabbed her tail. He landed on his feet and yanked the snake.

The lion roared while the goat screamed at the same time. With her strength, she lifted Roger up by her tail and swung him toward a wall. He slammed against it and fell to the floor.

His bones rattled, but he still got up. While rubbing his back, the Chimera charged toward him.

He jumped to the left as the goat rammed her head into the wall. The wall cracked and only tiny rocks sprinkled across the monster's back.

If the thing knocked herself out, Roger wouldn't worry about distracting her with his life. Because he isn't a demi-god hero, he wouldn't survive against a monster. Unless he has powerful guns, strong enough to kill a single elephant. Why couldn't he keep his guns after he died?

The snake's mouth broke free from the vine and hissed at him. If he moves, the serpent could reach him.

"Almost done!" Persephone shouted, turning a lock on the vault doorway, clockwise.

The lion, goat, and snake shot their eyes toward her. With mixed growls and hisses, they suddenly charged for her.

"Oh, no!" Roger raced toward the monster. If he doesn't stop the Chimera, Persephone won't open the cell door.

While running, he grabbed his spear off the ground and threw it straightforward.

The spear struck the beast's rear-end. She stopped and roared in pain. Her cries were a mixed melody of agony.

Roger raced toward the creature's behind and pulled his spear out. Without warning, the Chimera back kicked him, pushing him away.

He hit the floor, feeling the pain crushing his chest. On all fours, he breathed hard, trying to ease the pain away. But he didn't have time to recover when the Chimera dashed toward him.

When the beast stopped before him, the lion and goat head blasted flames from their mouths.

Roger gripped his spear and rolled away, dodging the fire blast.

Back on his feet, he raised his spear and tossed it again. But the Chimera swung her snake tail, knocking the spear away.

Damn! Roger needed to run toward the corner to get his spear back. It was the only weapon he has.

But as he could see in the Chimera's eyes, she won't let him get that chance.
