《Just Flip a Coin, Otherworlder》Chapter 49: The Otherworlder and Descent

"Did you know, brother?"
"What?"
"Everything in this world has some chance of happening. Who knows, maybe this desk you're leaning on might suddenly turn into a duck, or maybe this pen in my hand might suddenly turn into a duck. It's next to impossible, but the probability is not zero."
"Is that so? Your science really says some weird stuff."
"Brother, don't you think–"
"Hey, don't push me."
"–That you may have the ability to control this probability? That is the only thing that makes sense. It has to be that way!"
"Control what? No way, what I have is merely..."

A bullet was just a few centimeters away from the Otherworlder's eyes. It made its way towards his iris, ready to tear through it and leave a hole in his head.
"... Luck."
Another bullet crashed into the sides of the one that was next to his eye. The collision threw both bullets off the path as they passed right above the Otherworlder's head.
The Otherworlder stood still on his spot as the bullets either missed or crashed into each other and passed him by.
"W-what in the world!?" Holy Water screamed and charged toward the Otherworlder. Both his hands turned into blades, a small chain of tinier blades stuck out from all sides of the blade as its hands turned into complete chainsaws.
"It's futile," the Otherworlder jumped back as the exoskeleton drove the chainsaws into the ground where the Otherworlder stood. Large chunks of stone broke out from the ground and flew into the air...
... right below the Otherworlder's feet.
A path of stone laid itself in front of the Otherworlder. As if it were the most natural thing that could have happened, the Otherworlder skipped from one rock to another until he was much farther away.

Grunting in frustration, the exoskeleton opened its mouth a full ninety degrees and another small missile peeked out.
"DIE!"
The missile launched out from his mouth and whizzed through the air. As it approached the Otherworlder, its boosters suddenly failed and misfired, pushing the missile up towards the ceiling.
"HOW!?!"
Holy Water screamed as his missile completely swayed past the Otherworlder and nestled in the ceiling. It blasted on contact immediately, but instead of a simple explosion, it started a fire that spread through the ceiling.
"How is this happening?!" Even the Otherworlder was confused this time by what was going on. How could concrete catch on fire? The Otherworlder narrowed his gaze to see something curl up and melt off from the ceiling.
"The... soundproofing foam..." Holy Water mumbled with his eyes stuck to the ceiling. The fire spread at great speed with no signs of stopping in just this room.
Waves of heat spread through the ceiling of the underground channel, and eventually the roads and floors aboveground.
"It wouldn't take time before people notice there's a fire underground and evacuate. As for whoever tries to come down here, I am sure Vera will handle them," the Otherworlder raised his chin at the exoskeleton, his words dripping with mockery.
"Why... How does this keep happening? What sorcery are you pulling, you bastard!?"
The Otherworlder ignored Holy Water's cries and bent down. He picked up a stone and played with it in his hands.
"Now then," the golden hue in his eyes gleamed brightly as the Otherworlder reached into his pocket with his other hand. "Shall I go on the offensive?"
The Otherworlder tossed the stone in the air, he grabbed the hammer with both his hands and swung it on the stone as it came down.

The stone zapped through the air with the Otherworlder's full forced attack. It smashed against the burning ceiling and bounced over to a wall before hitting another stone right behind the exoskeleton. It bounced again after hitting the debris Holy Water had dug up and lodged itself right below the small cabinet in the exoskeleton.
Electrical sparks flickered out from the exoskeleton. "No way! The power source!!"
Holy Water could only fumble around while the Otherworlder sent two more stones his way. One more joined the first in wrecking apart the power source while the other smashed apart the exoskeleton's well-hidden external camera. The sparks from the power source ran amok as Holy Water hurriedly kicked open the door to the cabinet and rushed out.
The exoskeleton swayed and fell to the ground. Holy Water stumbled over his feet but still continued to crawl away. Before long, another explosion spread through the air. Metallic shards spread in all directions except between the Otherworlder and the crawling Holy Water as the exoskeleton was blown to bits.
With a scoff, the Otherworlder slowly walked towards Holy Water who had fallen on the ground. Holy Water struggled to pull himself up, the shins of his feet charred from the nearby explosion. Blood and sweat dripped down his white hair as he looked at the Otherworlder with a manic gaze.
"Fuck you! Fuck you! I'll fucking kill you!"
The Otherworlder pumped his eyebrows at Holy Water's words. "Sure, I don't think you can do it in that state, though."
"Haha! HAHA!" Holy Water suddenly broke into a laughing fit. "I just need one more person's blood. Just one more!"
The Otherworlder stopped moving ahead and continued to observe Holy Water. On the ground, the white-haired madman pulled out a small knife from his pockets.
"Oh! Our Great God! Please, accept my blood as the last of it! Take your powers back and wreak havoc upon this forsaken land! Come back from death, Snake God Ifcarus!"
Without hesitation, Holy Water stabbed himself in the stomach. A puddle of blood poured out from his limp body, but he continued laughing in his fit.
Holy Water raised his eyes to give the Otherworlder a final look of victory. "If it's just one more person, even if I can't bring it to him, our Great God can take it himself..." his voice creaked from the pain, but he didn't move his eyes away from the Otherworlder's expressionless face. "I don't know what sorcery you used to do all this..."
The earth rumbled, and dust and smoke spread away from all directions as a terrifying earthquake swallowed the entire town above.
"But you have reached your end."
