Chapter 6 - The Arrival of the United Rejects
"I've done it!" Anik exclaims, "I have managed to collect all of the reusable crossbow arrows that I could find."
It was at this moment, when the previous disturbance was beginning to die down, that a new problem began to arise, replacing the previous two.
Down the long corridor, leading towards the staircase, connecting the ground floor to the second, where the boys are precisely at.
There is a large disturbance, as the sounds of fighting could be heard going on in the background. With numerous footsteps are heading up the stairs, and vastly approaching their direction.
"What is going on? Is there more of those things (goblins) are coming." Joel shouted, slightly panicky.
"It's not sure yet..." Aaron then retaunted.
The sounds of wolfs echoing down the stairwell corridors, as the push and pull doors was forced open, slamming itself against the concrete wall at tremendous speeds, the force of impact then left a big spider web like crack in the concrete wall.
Several humanoid figures then emerged, as they all rushed in and entered the corridorway.
A black Jamaican kid, with a short afro, who was wearing a hoodie underneath his school blazer. He turned around and held the makeshift staff firmly with both of his hands, pointing the wooden staff at the enemy.
The makeshift wooden staff is made from three wooden meter ruler sticks, packed together, and kept in place strongly with duck tape.
'Malachi...' Aaron instinctively called out the name of this boy inside his head.
Malachi Hendrickson, 15 years old, a fifth year upperclassman, and is in the same form tutor group as him. Whilst, at the same time, Malachi is also in his small highschool friend group.
Next, an Irish white boy, with dark brown facial features, carrying a large stone claymore, which is almost more than half of his overall size.
'David.' He thought.
The boy's name is David Griffin. He is of similar age to Malachi, and at the same time, is in the same year form tutor group as Aaron and Malachi. And so is our next participant.
Gerard Wight is also a part of Aaron's friend group, and the same form tutor group as Aaron, David, Malachi. Year 11E.
Gerard armed himself with a stone short sword and wooden shield, with his back turned to face his companions, as he strongly held the squared shape wooden shield out to block the relentless claw attacks of the incoming wolfs.
The final participant was none other than Sameer Chowderick himself, the one who first forewarned Aaron of the fore coming appearance of the monsters that are invading the school.
Sameer stood firmly on his feet, as he wielded two primitive stone axes, one in each hand.
Sameer wore a pair of glasses because of his nearsightedness, as well as, a maroon p.e shirt to cover the lower bottom of his face, to prevent any dirt or blood getting in the way of his face.
"Dammit!" Sameer curses underneath his breathe. "Those bastard wolfs and that goblin hunter are following right behind us." He shouted.

Sameer did a cool half turn as he then raises one of the stone primitive axes, he held, into the air, until one of the grey wolfs manages to enter within his striking distances.
The grey wolf then opens its jaw wide, revealing its big canine teeths, as it ready itself to pounce on the target (Sameer) in front of it, and bite him.
However, just like a bolt of lightning, Sameer hammer down his primitive stone axes, as it descend downward from the sky, and struck the upper regions of the grey wolf's snout, fracturing it, but also forces the grey wolf to shut its mouth tightly.
With the right primitive stone axe still lodged deeply within the grey wolf's skull, he directed the direction of where the grey wolf will land, passsing by him.
Sameer then shouted to the group behind him, whilst his eyes are still focus on the charging grey wolfs in front of him.
"Can someone please finish this fucking grey wolf off? I'm kind of fucking busy right now." Sameer said so with his back turned to face the group.
"Right." David answered, but was just about to kill the grey wolf with his stone claymore, when he was suddenly interrupted.
"Stop! Wait a minute..." Aaron then calls out to him, as he hurriedly runs over.
"What..." David immediately stopped his swing, but the momentum carried out by stone claymore didn't paused, as the stone claymore cleaved through a piece of the grey wolf's body.
The stone claymore is lodged deeply within the grey wolf's neck region, as David has the grey wolf pinned down on the floor with his sword.
"What!" David repeated himself a second.
Aaron then hurriedly on over. "It's good that you have the grey wolf pinned down that so that it couldn't escaped." He said so towards David.
"So..." David replied so, slightly unamused. "You aren't planning on kill steal this one, aren't you."
"Kill steal. What no. I have other plans..." He said so towards David, and continues, "Anik, come over here for a sec. I want you to shoot an arrow through this grey wolf's head and kill it for experience points."
It was at this moment that David then realised Aaron's intentions, he didn't wanted to land the final kill on the grey wolf to take all the experience points, but rather to powered levelling up the weakest members of the group in order to increased their chances of survival.
"Alright." David naturally replied, accepting Aaron's plan of action.
"Hurry up." Aaron shouted, as he watched the fat annoying tubby which he called his friend.
"I'm running as fast as I can. Goddamnit!" Anik hurriedly runs over, his fat body jiggling up and down as he moves, when he got there, he then pulls the prepared crossbow out.
The wooden crossbow was already loaded with a crossbolt arrow beforehand, as he then aims the crossbow in the direction of the grey wolf's head, and all he had to do is pull the trigger to end it all.

Aaron who stood beside him, with David having his stone claymore lodged in its to keep it in place.
"Do it... Pull the trigger." Aaron said so in a cold tone, as he stares at the whimpering grey wolf, that is laying beneath his feets.
Anik has never took a life before, beforehand, even if it is for food; meat cattle, fish, and such. Everything was prepared, killed, and cooked beforehand, when it was bought from the store.
He was a bit hesitant at first, but when he remembered the amount of people that died from the small groups of goblins previously. His heart raced, beating rapidly, as he finally pulled the trigger on the wooden crossbow.
The crossbolt arrow then shit through the air, and immediately hit the grey wolf in the skull region, but didn't killed it.
The crossbolt arrow head managed to pierced through the grey wolf's tough canine skull, and damage a small portion of the grey wolf's brain, giving it a slight brain concusion, but didn't kill it.
"Did you recieved the notification screen yet?" Aaron then asked Anik if he has received the confirmation of his kill yet.
And David from the side was watching Anik with great expectaction. However, he heard a disappointing result, as Anik answered, "What Notification screen?"
"Oh... so that thing is still alive, huh." Aaron responded, slightly unamused, "What a tough bugga, hanging upon its dear life. Finish it off."
Aaron then told Anik to finish it off to end the poor grey wolf's miserable life.
"How?" Anik asked Aaron.
"Do literally anything to kill this poor grey wolf. Even if you have to crush the head of the grey wolf." Aaron didn't say that much, but he insisted on Anik to end the grey wolf's poor miserable life.
"Stamp on the grey wolf's head." Anik was quite hesitant, but nevertheless, he complied.
Anik with his big chubby legs out, he started stomping on the grey wolf's head, crushing it's tough skull and the inside of its brain.
He repeatedly stomp on the grey wolf's skull, beating it into a bloody pulp, until the life then vidibly dissappears from its own eyes, as a resounding blue notification screen then appears before his eyes.
Ding!
(!) System Notification [ You have slain a Tier 1 Grey Wolf. 233 eperience points gained. 3 kill points gained! ] (!) "I've done it, I've killed this little bugga." Anik exclaims, having become tired and out of breathe.
"Dude, that is so brutal, the way he killed the poor thing." David commented, as he pulled the stone claymore sword lodged out from the decimated grey wolf corpse.
His gaze landed on Aaron's figure, and Aaron then responded, "Don't look at me like that, although, I did suggested it. Afterall, it was his decision to go through with it."
David then came up with a reasonable argument against Aaron's dispute, "You could have just lent him your stone dagger to make it alot more easier for him to kill the grey wolf, couldn't you."
Aaron just simply smiles, as he then answered back, "What would be the fun of that, and besides, not everything can always be as convenient as you always wants it." He then continues, "He must learn to go through some bits of difficulty and troubles in life if he wanted to improve hinself."
"Hey guys, don't forget to send them a party invite so they could join our group." Sameer shouted off in the distance, whilst 1v1 a grey wolf by himself.
Due to his innate skill {Kinetic Vision}, which he awakened upon becoming a player. His depth vision thereby becomes much clearer, even under constant movements, so he could easily read the movements and tradjectory of his enemy's attacks.
"Roger that." David responded back to Sameer, as he then reached his hand out, inputting a voice command. 'Send party invite to Aaron and Anik.'
The universal system immediately recognised David's verbal commands, having recognised the two as newly players, the system then sends out party invite towards those two.
Ding!
A blue notification screen then pops up, appearing right before their eyes.
(!) System Notification The individual David Griffin has sent you a party invite to join the [United Rejects]!
Aaron and Anik then made a quick glance through the content of the blue notification screen, before outright accepting to party invite to join the United Rejects party group.
(!) System Notification You have accepted the party invite from the individual David Griffin. You are hereby acknowledged as a part of the [United Rejects] party! Experience points gained from killing monsters would be equally distributed amongst the party members! Additionally, you would be able to see the health, stamina, mana, and fatigue bar of your teammates in the top left hand corner!
Four coloured bars; green, orange, blue, and red bars began to appear in the top left hand corner of Aaron and Anik's vision.
"Say who the fuck came up with the party name called United Rejects anyway." Aaron commented, voicing out his opinions, as he read the screen notification in front of him.
Whilst, David nonchalantly shrugs his shoulders, and divulged some important information, "Well, don't blame me, as I have no part in the naming of the group. It was Sameer's idea to be called the United Rejects, afterall, he is the party leader."

What do you think it takes to live? Is it strength? Power? Magic? Unparalleled intelligence? Or are they all mere accessories to the fact that life is irrelevant? Do you have what it takes to bear the burden of life? Does life even matter? I don't know, and to be frank, I am somehow alive; I was even able to function in society at one point. It frightens me to think no one else knows our purpose: not our parents, friends, or mentors. And I can't bring myself to surrender to any religion. But I do have a direction. A goal, one might say. My wish is to one day shout on top of the highest mountains, "Life doesn't frighten me!" But that won't happen. Because I died a long time ago. ... You're still here? That? Oh it was all in the script. You didn't think I'd actually say that cringey stuff, did you? ~Daniel
