Chapter 3 - Ambushed by a 3 Man Goblin Squad
Anik just finished wrapping the bandages around Aaron's injured arm, as he then ties a knot around the bandages to secure the wound.
"There I'm done." Anik said so with a satisfied look plastered on his face.
Once the bandaging task was finished, Aaron then lightly asks for another small favour from him. "Could you please do me a favour, Anik? Can you go into the classroom and get my stuff. It's just my bagpack and coat, that's all. It's under the computer desk."
Anik was a bit dissatisfied, after finishing one task, he get given another one.
Anik then sighs in defeat, he then said, "At the very least, the task is not at all that difficult. Simple enough to do."
However, inside his head, he spoke what was on his mind, 'Despite I myself am learning to become a doctor like my father. I can't actually handle the mere sight blood.'
'Maybe it's due to my lack of experience and resistance to gore. If I were to see it more often then I will start to develop a sort of resistance against those things, and probably won't be gross out anymore.' He thought to himself.
Anik got up, and immediately went to go and get Aaron's stuff.
Meanwhile, Aaron checks his pockets and the pockets within his blazer. 'It's not there. I can't find it. Where is my phone.' He thought to himself.
He thought back, 'Did I accidentally dropped my phone whilst I was running away from the goblin?'
Aaron then searches the ground, and luckily finds his dropped phone within seconds. However, the phone's glass screen is a bit cracked.
Spider web like cracks have formed at the bottom corner of the screen, then spreading upwards from the point of impact. Though the screen is cracked, it is not broken, but still slightly is useable.
Aaron curses underneath his breathe. He thought to himself, 'Shit! I've broken my phone screen, the repairing cost for replacing a damage for screen is expensive.'
'Well, forget that... Who would fucking have time to repair stuff during an Apocalypse.' Aaron exclaimed in a sense of frustration.
In order to calm himself down, and let his anger dissipates, Aaron decided to change the focus of the subject.
He lightly presses on the phone's switch 'on' button, and the phone screen then lights up, turning itself on within a jiffy. It revealed an anime wallpaper background, depicting an adolescent boy in front of an evening city view.
It was '12:27 PM.'
The time was roughly half twelve, but it displayed '12:27' on the digital clock located in the top left hand corner of the phone screen.
[ You have 9 missed calls from Sameer! ] [ You have 16 missed calls from Mom! ] [ You have 12 missed calls from Dad! ] [ You have 5 voiced messages! ]
Aaron thought to himself, 'Wow, that is certainly alot of missed calls, and most of them are from my parents...'
'I hoped that they are okay?' He thought to himself, starting to become slightly emotional. 'Even though, this smartphone isn't really worth much. It's worth around ninety quid the last time I've saw it. It was the last present he (father) ever gave me.'

'Now that I don't get to see mum, dad, lil'bro anymore. I don't even know if they are alive still...'
'Things that used to have no sentimental value suddenly became more important to me.' Aaron thought to himself, as his eyes then became a bit teary.
Things are not worth much when you see them commonly in your daily life, but when that certain something is lost. You've learned to appreciate that thing's true value, and grieved over what was lost that which you can never get back.
It was at this time that Anik finally left the classroom. He was completing the task that was given to him by Aaron.
Anik left the classroom, he brung along with him, all of Aaron's stuff, but mainly his coat and bagpack. And Joel also accompany alongside him.
Anik called out to him, to get his attention, "Hey, Aaron. I've got your stuff."
Aaron then turns his head slightly towards their direction, and said, "Alright. Thanks for getting my stuff, Anik." Aaron showed his appreciation for Anik's help, as he thanked him for his work.
"Just put my stuff there and I handle the rest." Aaron said, as he pointed to an empty spot right beside him.
"Okay then." Anik responded, as he throws Aaron's bagpack and coat towards him.
The bagpack and coat lightly hits the wall, and slid off the rough surface of the concrete wall. And it landed smoothly right beside him.
Aaron then turns his eyes back onto his phone, as the screen suddenly then turns blacks for inactivity.
He checks the phone's battery. The battery cells icon displayed on the top right hand corner of the phone, it was half empty. Displaying 53% battery life left right next to battery cells icon.
Aaron thought to himself, whilst looking a bit panicky, '53% that is almost half empty.'
Aaron hurriedly zips his bagpack and went through all of his stuff. 'It's not there. The smartphone charger is not there. Did I not bring my USB port phone charger with me.' He exclaims, and suddenly remembers leaving it at home.
'Dammit! I suddenly remembered something. I left the phone charger on the table within my bedroom, after I unplugged my phone, this morning.' Aaron monologued inside his head.
Anik who saw Aaron's panicking expression starts to grew concern for his friend's wellbeing, so he asked, "Are you okay? What's wrong? Do you need something?"
Aaron then looks up expendantly at Anik, and said, "Do you carry an Android phone charger with you?" He asked Anik, but Anik shakes his head in denial.
Anik shakes his head, and then answers, "No... I don't even bring my phone with me to school. So why would I need to bring a phone charger."
Aaron then turns to Joel and asked the very same thing, "So what about you, Joel? Do you have an android phone charger on your?"
Joel responded with the same definite answer, but his response was slightly a bit different, "No, I don't have an Android phone charger. I've only got an IPhone one."
"I see." Aaron then leans his head back against the wall, slightly depressed.

He thought to himself, whilst staring at the ceiling, 'I guess, I put the phone on power saving mode for now, and lowering the phone screen brightness setting to save up on power.'
Aaron did what he initially planned, and lowered the battery usage on his phone until he finds a suitable android phone charger to charge his phone.
Aaron already thought ahead of schedule, 'I need to hurry and download all of the files and the images that I've saved up on the cloud and the Internet storage bank, before the internet goes down. Once the internet is gone, everything is as good as deleted.'
As he quickly downloads all of his prerequisites saved photos and images that he saved on the cloud and email account, and transfering them all onto his phone's small storage 64 GB sd card.
'Now all of the family photos, pictures, and film are saved on my 64 GB sd card. So long as the sd card is safe, I can always safely transferred the data stored on the sd card onto another device.' He thought to himself, whilst waiting for his phone to downloading.
It was at this minute that something occurred which is outside his realm of expectations.
"Aaaahhhhh!!! Help me!!!" The desperate sounds of a child screaming, crying out for help, almost like his/her life was on the line.
The surrounding suddenly became quiet. With the people becoming all the more disturbed after what they heard.
The distinctive sounds of a child screaming in the distance, slowly being teared to shreds by something animalistic, echoing down the empty corridors.
"What the fuck is going on here!" Joel exclaims out in shock and fright, as his knees began to shake uncontrollably.
Anik was also a bit of a similar, visibly shakened by what he heard. His mind was in turmoil, 'What was that... it sounded like someone was about to be killed.'
Aaron showed a darkened face, as he grinds his teeths in annoyance, 'Dammit! Could it be another group of goblins. Or maybe, the goblin that I've just killed was only just the scout, and these are its reinforcements.'
All of the people's attention are focused on where the sound of the screaming was coming from.
"Gi-kikiki!!!" There were some sounds of inhumanish laughter, mixed in with the child's painful screaming.
When everything suddenly began to quieten down. The doors leading to the third and ground floor was swung open, with such velocity and strength that the metal door handle left a small dent and some slight cracks within the concrete stone wall.
Two green skin humanoid creatures, similar to the ones that Aaron just killed, then walks out from stairwell.
One of them was slowly dragging the mutilated corpse of the child that was recently killed, by pulling on his hair, who by Mr.Davies's orders was to go and get help. However, before he could even reached the reception area, he was intercepted by two goblins.
The goblins slaughtered the human boy, without a second thought. Slowly, torturing the human boy to death.
The goblins teared the boy's limps off, bit by bit, causing the boy some intense pain. They didn't stop there, as they macerated his body with their thick long nails.
Whilst, also slashing at the boy's chest and arms area, with the rough ragged edges of the stone dagger. Spike edges of the dagger blade, thereby mitilated the boy's skin, and digs into the boy's flesh, repeatedly until the life dissappears from the boy's eyes, as he suddenly then became quiet.
Fresh red human blood drippling down the side of the goblin's stone dagger. Whilst, the goblin's loin cloth is soaked within the child's own blood.
One of the frightened female students screams, "Aahh..."
"They killed him. Those fucking monsters killed him." The ongoing spectators exclaimed out in great shock, thereby horrified at the spectacle they just witness.
The viscious goblins smiles, grinning evilishly, whilst enjoyeing seeing the sights of the children's frightened faces, as they each relish in the sense of fear they inflicted upon the weak willed.
"Run for your lives whilst you still can!" One of the students shouted, as they then runs off in the opposite direction of the approaching goblin.
More people began to copy that said particular individual, and then follows right after him.
Whilst, the others were all frightened and afraid, Aaron was the only one who remains the most cleared headed.
'There is no safe place within the school or any other place, sooner or later, this place will become overrun with monsters.' He thought logically, based on all of the apocalyptic movies and comic he have seen.
"What is causing this loud ruckus? You..." Mr.Davies turns his body around, facing the two? unsuspecting preparators, as he raises his voice.
His shouting was suddenly cut short, when an unknown flying arrow whistling through the air, like a speeding sparrow. It struct Mr.Davies square face in the center of his forehead.
The makeshift stone arrow that is shot at Mr.Davies, possesses a strong enough penetrative force enough to pierce through a human skull. Thereby, inflicting sufficient blunt trauma to the brain to cause Mr.Davies to lapse out from conciousness.
Not shortly afterwards, Mr.Davies then dies an aggrieved death, caused by blunt force trauma from having the stone arrow piercing his brain, thereby killing him.
Aaron shouted at the two, directing it at Anik and Joel, "Get down! They have an archer on their side!"
Aaron then arms himself with the stone dagger, he collected from the dead goblin's corpse he killed previously.
Whilst, at the same time, he sternly wraps his fingers around the dead goblin's neck, and then drags the dead goblin's corpse body up and used it as a body shield to block any incoming arrows.
The goblin weighs around thirty to forty kilograms in body weight on average, but the size differs from goblin to goblin. No each goblin is one of the same.
