《Ancient Cultivator in Modern World》Chapter 93: Like Stir-Frying Vegetables.

Although Khan knew that people in the modern age had some kind of weird fetishes with them, judging from the number of shady websites that he stumbled upon when surfing the internet, he still didn't expect that something like this existed, and by the time he finished this thought, a Work Automation Robot in the form of a young girl who looked to be the same age as him, approached him who sat in the couch and kneeled down, reaching towards his trousers.
"Oh, shit, wait a minute, stop, stop!" Khan hurriedly pushed her hand aside, which made the latter froze. His frantic actions garnered the attention of the two who enjoyed themselves at the side and they said.
"What's wrong, brother? This is a once in a year experience you know? Reserving at least one Idol doll is expensive! You better enjoy the moment!" Bjorn obscenely spoke with his eyes narrowed in pleasure.
Steven also frowned and said, "Yeah, that's right, just enjoy it! As long as your girlfriend doesn't know about it, it's fine." Khan rolled his eyes towards what he said as he retorted, "Fine? If you know about how violent that girl becomes if she's jealous, you won't be saying this to me at all!"
Steven and Bjorn stared at him with eyes filled with sympathy, judging from their looks, they knew about the fierceness of Lily, especially at those times where people would openly court her in the University, all of those men met a fate that was worse than death.
"It's okay, brother, you can go on without us, after all, if the Goddess knew that we brought you in this place, who knows about what crazy events would she do!" Steven hissed and his expression turned pale. He became startled as he remembered the affairs that transpired last year, to the extent that he forgot about the young girl that kneeled before him.
Khan revealed a tragic smile, standing up, he said his goodbyes and walked outside, arriving there, a vibration came from his right pocket, withdrawing his smartphone, a call came from an unknown number.
"Boss, my men already gathered all of the herbs that you needed!" A familiar voice that came from Old Snake echoed from the phone, Khan frowned and replied, "Mhmm, you guys actually dared to research about me..."
His cold tone startled the man behind the line as their conversation went silent for a while. In the next several seconds, a pleading and flattering voice replied, "Boss, you can't really blame us about that... some of my men are indignant that they are being handled by a young man and thus..."
Khan slightly smiled, "It's fine, let's just disperse that matter for now, what I'm interested in is how many herbs you gathered in each category that I specified?"
"About fifty kilograms, boss!"
Khan's expression became stunned, although fifty kilograms doesn't really sound that much if you think about it. The herbs that he ordered them to acquire were herbs that were also quite rare back then, but today, it seems like those herbs were available, like grasses.

With an excited smile, Khan replied, "I'll be there in thirty minutes, gather all of your men first, I'll have them witness the might of a true alchemist." Without waiting for his reply, he pressed the end call button and proceeded towards a nearby department store.
Meanwhile, back at the mansion where the Old Snake resided, the figure of the latter could be seen seating on a reclining chair, his left hand, held a smartphone that he pressed on his left ear, and an expression of shock, suffused on his face, before changing into excitement as he hurriedly ordered.
"Quick, gather the men of the three factions! Tell them that we will witness an ancient art!" His thrilled voice echoed across the entire mansion, sending every man in black into a hurry as they disappeared into the numerous exits of the manor.
Back at Poblacion, Khan could be seen inside a cafe, before him, a paper and on his right hand, a pen which he used to scribble on the paper, not long after, an image of a colorless flower with nine petals could be seen, the intricacies within the sketch and the shading of it, was enough to awe everyone who saw it.
But he was not finished, withdrawing a pack filled with crayons, he colored the flower and within the next several seconds, a proper flower with numerous resplendent colors could be seen. With a smile and a satisfied nod, Khan ordered a coffee and resumed his work.
Twenty minutes later, he walked outside, bringing with him, six artworks that he felt satisfied with as he proceeded to a nearby alleyway. Checking the surrounding areas for any closed circuit television cameras, Khan swiftly disappeared into the darkness of the alleyway, leaving only his afterimage behind.
Inside a vast courtyard, behind a luxurious mansion, hidden from the sight of the common people, at least a hundred people could be seen, standing upright under the searing heat of the sun. Their expressions, stoic and indifferent and their eyes, stared at the distance.
Before them, the three leaders, Old Azure Dragon, Old Snake, and a man with a muscular body, whose face, riddled with a scar that stretched from his right eyebrow down to his left cheek, stood, glancing at the men before them, they nodded in satisfaction.
The men hid all of their excitement under the facade of indifference, but their slightly trembling figure indicated their hidden emotions. For although the advent of modern technologies enabled the access of medicine that worked faster than medicinal herbs, they still felt exhilarated to see the techniques of an alchemist.
Rumors say that a peak alchemist expert can create a pill that can completely reverse the process of a aging, granting the one who ate that pill, the gift of immortality. Because of this, all of them became hyped about witnessing the glory of such a process, and within the next ten minutes, they immediately gathered on the courtyard, along with their leaders.

"W-w-what is that..."
No one knew who spoke the first words, but all of them concentrated their shocked gazes in the air above them, for a tear in space that threatened to devour everything suddenly manifested, the three leaders assumed a stance, with the might of their cultivation bases and their fingers floating above their Rune Decipherers.
"Old Snake!" Old Azure Dragon interjected at the side, the middle-aged man beside him, along with the other man, nodded their heads as they summoned their pressure, converging into a tempest that staggered all of their men backward.
"What's wrong with you guys? Why do all of you look like you've seen a ghost in broad daylight." A teasing voice echoed from the tear as the familiar figure of a reddish-haired youth, emerged from it.
He descended down with light footsteps and a slight smile suffused on his face as he glanced at the awed spectators. His hands, on his back, and his head, slightly tilted towards the skies, and the air of nobility that enveloped him gave the spectators of watching a crown prince on his daily routine.
Although normally, they would jeer and sneer towards this scene, remembering the Spatial Tear that the youth emerged from, none of them dared to utter a protest.
"Old Snake, line all of the medicinal herbs in here and prepare twenty furnaces that can at least, withstand an all-out attack of an Organ Tempering Realm Practitioner." Khan swiftly spoke, Old Snake's expression changed, even with his deep connections, gathering twenty furnaces with such durability will surely make him twinge in pain.
With a nod, he walked away and could only hope that the young man can really give them a suitable profit from this affair.
"Hey, all of you buff guys, carry all of the medicinal herbs in here, I want to check them out," Khan ordered and several men in black disappeared from his sight. When they returned, all of them carried a sack that emanated the stench of medicinal herbs.
One of the men stretched his hand and wanted to open the sack.
"Don't open it!" Khan interrupted him with a stern glare and tone.
The man's expression changed into confusion as he slowly uttered, "I thought that, the young master would like to inspect it..."
"I already did." Khan flatly spoke and didn't bother about him anymore as he sat there, waiting for the arrival of the furnaces that he needed. Meanwhile, the expression of the men around him looked confused, 'How can he inspect the herbs without visually looking at it?'
Khan, of course, noticed their thoughts, but he just silently smiled and thought to himself, 'Hmmph, If I can't inspect herbs just by smell alone, then I've really wasted my time learning the art of an alchemist!'
The faction that the Old Snake handled, really has deep roots within the society itself. For the task, where Khan even found to complete by himself, was completed by the former in just under an hour.
Inspecting the furnaces with his Soul Sense, Khan nodded his head and satisfaction and said, "All of you, look closely, I'll show you the prowess of your leader." He smiled and pointed his finger upwards and the world around them turned monochrome and lifeless as if time had stopped for them.
"Woaaah..."
Several men couldn't help but utter their shock, for no matter how many times they witnessed such event, it still felt heart-shaking, especially, when they couldn't even detect an ounce of Qi coming from the young man's body, yet he was capable of such feat.
But their shock intensified even further as they felt a heart-palpitating pressure that surged from the young man's body. At this moment, his figure looked as high as the skies and as dignified as the mountain. His expression, solemn yet nonchalant as he clapped his hands, followed by the manifestation of twenty seeds of fire that fiercely burned inside the furnace.
With a nod of satisfaction, he pointed at a sack, one at a time, as their contents, flew towards the six furnaces, only until the sacks were emptied did the young man's expression became serious.
Old Azure's expression already gaped at this scene, 'Pill Concoction should be much gentle and pious than this, but why does it look like a normal matter for him?'
Old Snake's expression flickered with several emotions, 'From what I read from some ancient texts that we found dating back fifty thousand years ago, Pill Concoction should only be done, one pill at the time, yet the boss is... the boss is mass concocting pills like they are vegetables!'
Their breathing became ragged pants, especially when numerous formed pills encircled the young man, their movements that bobbed up and down, looked like they were excited and couldn't wait to be consumed.
Khan's expression shone in a hint of nostalgia, as he remembered the times where his brother would scold him when he noticed his way of concocting pills. Back then, he would always berate him about how an alchemist should be dignified and careful in making pills.
Back then, Khan's way of concoction would be one of the reasons why they frequently fought. Remembering those times, a silly smile suffused on his face as his hands, frequently blurred, followed by the soaring of several pills that continuously encircled him.
'Don't worry, brothers, the time for my revenge is coming soon...'

The Monster Inside: The First Vampire
Despite appearances, there was once a time where monsters did not exist. Where peace and prosperity reigned over all life. They wanted to taint it, corrupt it, revel in its dark side. This is the story of a boy who was tainted. Of a boy who unintentionally bore a seed of sin and who in his naivety let it out. This is the story of how that boy was shamed and disgraced. Of how he was outcast for simply being. This is the story of how that boy learned to embrace the darkness that made him different. A darkness that would later make him known as the Lord of Night. Note to Reader: I understand this book is not for everyone, if there is a writer that can write to please everyone, I have never heard of them. The MC can be frustrating in his decisions as he learns to grow and accept what and who he is. I believe this reality is unavoidable. That being said, if you feel the need to give a review, please do so, just know that I will report you if all that review seems to do is blab toxic language and insult my literary choices without giving constructive advice or alternatives. That's not just a me policy, that's a policy of this website. I'm not writing this note because I'm a writer who does not acknowledge that there are faults in my work. I know there are. That's what happens when it hasn't been professionally edited by someone other than the author. I'm saying this because I'm sick of reading 1 star or 0.5 star rated reviews that seem to do nothing but hate on the book because they don't like the story. No comments on grammar, ways to improve or suggestions for better story arcs. Just plain hate. It's not on, and I frankly shouldn't have to write this note, but needed to get it off my chest. In saying all that, thank you to those who do leave reviews that don't fall into the above category. Your appreciation of my work, or alternatively, your willingness to give advice for improvement, is appreciated.

But fate doesn't let it be that simple. He gets a hidden unique class, but that class has a special ability, one that randomizes all his stats whenever it wants? What? The world truly can't be fair to him. Not even in a game. Now he has to figure out a way to make this odd quirk of his class work. When he smiles, the world loves him. When he laughs, the world fears him. (and that was my stab at trying to imitate those chinese synopses) Regular chapters, once or twice per week. On the weekends usually. I will finish this novel, be it takes 1 year or 2. It will get a proper ending. Afterall, the ending is paramount. Also, the readers might feel rewarded if they look closely while reading. I try to be quite mindful and put in interesting details or things that would come into play later. And, personally i think that reviews on this site might as well be pointless. Unless you know the reviewer and think that you share his views. Your thoughts on a particular thing (like a novel) can differ from others. So, do give it a try before arbitrarily deciding. This is my try to perfect the 'master of all/everything' type of MC, inside a proper, realistic VR world, from a game design perspective and immersion and no convenient 'convert gold to irl currency' button. It is going to be a game first of all. Not a fantasy world overloaden with status screens and skills you can't possibly keep track of. A game with all of the real world aspects to it. Not a cheap fantasy world with shoehorned in stats.

Unique Fusion Magic Hex
World Essence. The mysterious energy coursing throughout the entire land of Vor'ten, and very possibly the entire world. This energy has allowed humanity to flourish, building great empires and vast kingdoms, conquering nature itself with just a sweep of their hand. Humans were the strongest existence, and with the help of channeling this World Essence, many were able to turn into Magic Knights, gaining magical abilities to combat the various fierce beasts throughout the lands.Alas... those glory days of old were long gone. Humanity has now been pushed to the brink of destruction, and now the remaining members of the human race are encased within giant domes known as 'Alkkras', made with the last remaining bits of the World Essence. It was said that those giant domes were the last gifts left by the remnants of the ancient human race, as a means to protect the future generation from the attacks of the many wild beasts roaming outside. Five Spiritualist Invokers, all combined together, used the last bit of the World Essence and sacrificed their lives to lay a gigantic, 1028-seal formation magic array to form these barriers, forever saving humanity, but also trapping humanity within these barriers. However, the humans were never completely helpless. No matter how little World Essence was left, the humans still had some remaining. Realizing the incoming crisis, the humans found a way to seal World Essence inside a special type of crystal. Soon, these crystals began to become implanted into weapons, turning them into World Essence Weapons, and they began to display properties of their own. Extreme heat. Bone chilling cold. Absurd sharpness. These normal weapons, after being imbued with the energy of the World Essence Crystals, began to form natural affinities to elements. Fire. Water. Earth. Wind. Darkness. Light. Using these weapons, one could become a Chevalier that wielded the power of the elements. However, if one wanted to reach a higher level of enlightenment and understanding, one could become an Invoker. Via the study of magic array formations, one could directly use the power of the World Essence to cast devastating magics upon the enemy. These people were Invokers, highly valued for their combat potential by the Army. These weapons and magical arrays were used in the great fight between the humans and the beasts long ago. They had long since been put away in storage, almost long forgotten...However, after ten-thousand years of suppression, the human race is beginning its counterattack against the Beasts... Synth was an Invoker in the Magecroft Academy. However, his talent was terrible, being only at the Spark Stage. This led to him being looked down upon and bullied. He was unable to cast any Calamity-rank or even Destruction rank spells, and was only able to cast Coalescing rank spells at the age of 17, a record low in the academy for cultivating these rare Invokers. Even though he put in more effort than anyone else, he was still unable to advance his Channeling Energy. But due to his constant research and study, Synth ended up creating a power that would go against the heavens - he had found how to Fuse spells together. After trying it out once, merging the magical array for the Small Fireball and the Mortal Judgement skills, he was able to create a mid-rank Destruction tier spell, Holy Judgement Flame. However, after this, no matter how hard he tried, he was unable to fuse more spells together or even cast them, and noticed a weird, pentagram shaped formation on his left arm. He would later call this mark the Fusion Magic Hex, a curse that prevented the wielder from casting magic that wasn't their own...This meant that with the exception of Synth's newly created skill, , he was going to have to create unique magic arrays if he ever wanted to step on the path of becoming an Invoker! This power that destroyed the laws of the Invoking System, and his unyielding persistence in testing and creating new spells, would later gain Synth the nickname the Unique Fusion Hex, and lead him to become one of the strongest beings in the entire World!
