His roar echoed throughout the battlefield, and everyone's gaze focused on him, but when they noticed that he was just a teenager, the men behind the Old Turtle exuberantly laughed, all kinds of sneers and disdaining comments targeted the former, yet he remained indifferent with a piercing light within his eyes.
"Hahaha, under your protection?"
"Kid, you're the one who should better scram, or else, we will annihilate your entire clan!"
"You still have that milk laced on your lips, yet you're standing there, roaring about protecting that Old Snake?! How presumptuous!"
However, the men behind the Azure Dragon faction didn't laugh, instead, their expression turned solemn as they remembered the moment where Khan instantly turned their comrade into a blood mist, especially Old Azure Dragon whose expression pious and grim.
The Old Turtle noticed this aberrance and he turned towards the Old Azure Dragon that stood weakly at the side and said, "Hey, what's going on, here?"
The latter looked reluctant for a moment before deciding to speak, "Earlier, that young kid annihilated a Divine Soul Practitioner without even using a trace of Qi."
Old Turtle's expression flickered, 'Without using a trace of Qi?' When he thought of it, he could also instantly annihilate a Divine Soul Practitioner, but without using Qi? That's impossible for the current him.
But when he sent a scouring Qi towards the youth's body, he was astounded to find that his Soul Sense directly disappeared, as if it was a pebble dropped in the ocean.
He immediately became vigilant towards the youth, however, his pride didn't let him surrender as his lips leaked a slight smile and said, "Under your protection? Let's me see your qualifications to do that!"
His figure sped towards Khan's visage, his right hand clenched together and stretched out, forming a fist as he struck, directly at Khan's head.
Bang!
A deafening roar ensued, followed by an explosion of dust which temporarily disrupted everyone's line of sight, however, since everyone saw that the Old Turtle's attack connected at the youth's head. All of them were sure that he should be dead by now.
The Old Turtle's fist received a feedback of hitting flesh and a sneer leaked on his face, 'It looks like it's just an arrogant kid...' But as the dust cleared up, his pupils constricted, for he saw the youth's figure, standing there with a cold expression suffused on his face.
His disbelief intensified, especially when he found that his punch connected on the youth's head, yet he remained unscathed.
"Just how did you..." He choked and managed in squeezing out these words before Khan clutched his wrist and crushed it under his terrifying might of fleshly body.
A miserable shriek pierced through the entire battlefield, and almost everyone who heard it could imagine the pain that the Old Turtle suffered. Their eyes, widened in fear and their faces, ashened as they stared at the young man who became akin to that of a Slaughter God.
"Sometimes, the most impossible occurrence is the most possible fact..." He spoke these cryptic words before slapping the Old Turtle on the ground, followed by the cracking sound of the latter's bones, indicating that Khan broke at least tens of bones within his body.

Khan sighed, "It's not like I wanted trouble, I only came here to gather some information about Magic Engineering, yet you guys came strutting in, wanting to annihilate my subordinate..." His eyes shone in a crimson light which froze the souls of everyone in the vicinity.
"Even so, I'm not planning on killing all of you..."
His words that reverberated across the entire battlefield, became akin to that of a dharmic pardon which made everyone, heave a sigh of relief.
"But since you're the one who attacked, I can't just let you guys go without paying any price, right?"
His following words made the Old Turtle who struggled in standing up, froze in fear. He stared at Khan with his figure, visibly trembling as he said in a terrified tone, "Just what is it that... you want..."
Upon hearing these words, Khan revealed a slight smile, "Nothing, I just wanted you to swear an oath with your cultivation as the stake and have you come under my wing."
Hearing these words, the Old Turtle flushed in shame and anger, his figure that visibly trembled from fear, became filled with the pride of a Divine Ascendance Practitioner as he spoke, "Me? Under your wing? Impossible! You're just a goddamned k-"
Bang!
A fierce explosion interrupted his words, and his eyes, widened in shock as he stared at his lower body that mysteriously exploded into a blood mist, he stared at Khan with an incredulous expression and despite his unwillingness, he plopped down on the ground, dying with infinite regrets.
Everyone at the scene gaped in shock, their expression filled with utmost horror as the scene of a Divine Ascendance Realm, instantly annihilated under their watch, continuously replayed in their minds, and to their disbelief, they found that they didn't even notice the youth's attack.
"You do not have the qualifications to negotiate with me." Khan spat in a cold tone, for these guys whose pride stuck deep within their bones, negotiating would be futile, only until you showed them your real strength would they obey your orders.
Back then, Khan learned this the hard way, and in the end, the Elders and disciples that he himself nurtured, betrayed him and as a result, his Sect was assimilated by the Thousand Swords Sect.
Now, Khan didn't plan on making the same mistakes, although he disliked wanton killings, that doesn't mean that he has all the mercy in the world to offer towards those headstrong bastards. He already gave them their chance, and they didn't take it, no one could blame him if they destroyed them all.
His display of ruthlessness deeply imprinted within the minds of the spectators as a thought simultaneously formed within their minds, 'No matter what, this young man should never be provoked!' But they knew that it was already too late, for the Asura had already awakened.
Simultaneous gulps echoed amidst the silenced battlefield, Khan slowly raised his head, his hand wiped the fresh blood that drenched his clothing, his eyes, scanned the surroundings and everyone flinched upon feeling the sensation of the young man's gaze, landing on their bodies.
Khan's eyes focused on a panting figure that visibly trembled, and the figure, shook upon realizing that the Asura's gaze focused on him and he couldn't help but hide his gaze, not daring to meet his stare in mid-air.

"How about you? Are you going to be adamant in resisting me?" His words, cold and distant pierced through the figure of the latter.
He gritted his teeth and when he noticed that he couldn't summon, even an ounce of power within his cultivation base, he gave up and said, "I understand, this one will become your loyal slave..." It took him a huge amount of energy just to finish this sentence, and in the end, he sat begrudgingly on the ground.
Khan approached him and made him sign an oath with his cultivation as the stake, in the end, Khan once again revealed his prowess by forcefully dissipating the dome that enveloped the manor, garnering the admiring and fearful gazes of everyone in the area.
Gathering all the elite forces of the three factions before him, and after confirming that no one was missing, Khan pointed his finger and a golden beam filled with a pulsating might flew towards the skies, transforming into a transparent barrier which dyed the world around them into a colorless color.
Witnessing the transformation of the world around them, everyone exploded into a clamor as they stared at the scene outside the transparent barrier, for they found that everything, including the aerial cars, pedestrians, and even birds stood still as if time was frozen for them.
Khan remained indifferent towards their shocked expressions, he dryly coughed and caught the attention of everyone in the vicinity before speaking, "From now on, I will be the boss of all the three factions behind the scenes," He spoke in an indifferent tone.
The expression of the men in black flickered, some contained indignance while others contained sincere worship and admiration, towards these myriads of feelings that they felt, Khan knew that although he made them acknowledge his power, he still hasn't won their heart.
After having them revel in their shock for a moment, Khan continued, "Although I said that I will be the true boss from now on, that doesn't mean that I will be disrupting the three faction's normal operations, In fact, I will create a symbiotic relationship between all of you guys..." He revealed a slight smile and continued, "But don't worry, the interests of the three different factions will be protected, in the condition that, all of you will become sworn brothers from now on."'
Sworn brothers? Everyone, including Old Azure Dragon and Old Snake, revealed a stunned expression, and they stared at each other with a weird expression on their faces, although they disliked each other, that didn't mean that they thoroughly abhorred the other, the only reason why they fought fiercely was because of the escalating conflicts between their men, forcing them to counter-attack, lest they lose their pride.
However, the root cause of the conflict, the men of the three factions stared at each other with hostility within their eyes, although Khan subdued them with his might, he would be unable to force them in doing something that they didn't like.
"Since all of you here is now under my wing, I will help you guys achieve a breakthrough of at least a single stage, however, only if you proved yourselves as worthy of my time."
"From now on, I want all of you to work together as one, remember that no man is an island, only by working together and striving towards that goal, will you achieve greatness, together with your brothers."
Khan's eyes scanned the astonished crowd, and flicked his wrist, sending several golden beams of light, flying towards the direction of three different men in black.
As the beam entered their bodies, they felt startled for a moment before their expression, changed into utmost shock as they hurriedly meditated on the ground, followed by numerous booming sounds that echoed from their bodies.
"A b-breakthrough?!"
"With just a flick of his sleeve, he made them achieve a breakthrough, and under a minute, at that?!"
Old Snake and Old Azure Dragon stared dumbfoundedly at the three men, whose figure continuously rose in power, from the Early Stage of Spirit Tempering Realm, they simultaneously broke through the next stage, achieving the state of a Middle Stage Spirit Tempering Realm Practitioner.
"Next week, I will come here and train all of you into future experts, however, you must prove yourselves before me by gathering these medicinal herbs." Khan transformed inscribed some information within his Soul Sense and individually infused it within the minds of the spectators, including Old Snake and Old Azure Dragon.
His prowess in Soul Techniques, manipulating space and his might that was unfathomable, made the two, secretly smile to themselves, especially Old Azure Dragon that still felt quite shameful earlier, but now, his eyes only shone in admiration and reverence.
"Have all of you received the information that I gave?" Khan sternly said.
The figures of the men shook, all of them took a deep breath and said in a deafening roar, "Yes, young master!"
"Good..." Khan repeatedly nodded his head, for he noticed that all of these men were good seedlings that with proper nurturing, they could at least, reach the realm of the Divine Soul, but learning from his mistakes, a hundred thousand years ago, Khan decided to test their loyalty for a little bit as he said.
"I want all of you to gather at least ten pounds of each medicinal herbs in a week! Only those who completed this mission shall have the honor of ascending into the next stage..." Khan left these words, a mysterious smile suffused on his face as he turned towards the two faction leader.
"And the two of you, you better order these guys, not to leak any information towards the last faction. Just act normally like before, but also inform me if the last faction is up to something else..." Khan's eyes scanned the two before continuing, "Also, have someone that you can trust, replace the position of that dead turtle."
The two solemnly nodded their heads and as their eyes closed and reopened, the figure of the young man had already disappeared, along with the transparent barrier that encompassed the entire manor, leaving behind, the dumbfounded members of the three factions.

Writing nerd fiction that I am too embarassed to try to explain when people inevitably ask what my books are about. Still beats when I used to write erotica. Story updates for book 3 should be on a daily schedule, baring unforseen circumstances. The majority of chapters from books one and two have been pulled down to keep with amazon's KU rules. Book one is found here. Book two is found here. If you like the story, please comment or favorite. Each comment goes a long way towards pushing visibility for the story, which means more people get to see it and I feel slightly more validated as a writer. I have a discord now where you can ask me things and I can be like 'no. no. I'm not answering that. no."
