Under the glow of the moonlight, atop a luxurious roof, a young man with a reddish-brown hair laid, his eyes shone with a mirthful light as he stared at the skies, reminiscing about the events that occurred for the past month.
The Thousand Claws Sect, whom the Divine Dragon Sect regarded as their nemesis, ended up annihilated under the hands of their own attack.
It became possible due to Khan engraving a Talisman Sigil on the surfaces of the pills that they ate, even though it dissolved in their bodies, the contained might within the Talisman Sigil deeply imprinted on their bodies and lingered until Khan triggered it.
The Talisman that Khan engraved on the pill was the Escape Talisman, he also carefully placed a Rune on the bodies of the Elders and obtained their gratefulness so that he wouldn't become suspicious.
But of course, to summon the effects of the Escape Talisman, a Spatial Tear would manifest to swallow the caster. However, Khan took advantage of the Ballista's attack and camouflaged the Spatial Tear's appearance amidst the distraction.
And the result was the complete annihilation of the entire Thousand Claws Sect, and hundreds of casualties among the common populace.
After few weeks after all of them had recovered, Khan managed to obtain the necessary herbs that he needed to concoct the Second Chance Pill, although he almost drained the entire treasury of the Divine Dragon Sect just to afford the rare herbs.
But even though Sinbad felt indignant, he couldn't do anything because the Guardian Spirit was the one who ultimately manages everything in the Sect.
And now, he was back at the peak of the Divine Emperor Realm! But of course, he hid that fact from the two Sect Masters.
He laid there, humming a tune, feeling great about the endless strength that streamed through his body, right now, he could casually open a tear in the space with a single movement of his finger.
As he stared at the skies, he felt a movement flashing beside him as Azrael's olden figure materialized in the air beside him.
There, Azrael sat with a small smile on his face as he stared at the sky.
"Oh, Azrael... You've come." Khan returned a smile on his own as he spoke.
Azrael only nodded in response before speaking, "Master, about the mission that you gave me last week, I still haven't obtained any information about the whereabouts of those pesky Dragonslayers."
Khan chuckled, "Yeah, I can't even find them with my Divine Sense that encompasses the entire continent, much less you."
Azrael hung his head in embarassment, towards his master's teasing, he didn't really have any comebacks for his might in the aspect of souls really was low.
His figure froze as he remembered a matter that he wanted to ask long ago, gritting his teeth, he mustered his courage and said.
"Master... Could it be that... The reason why you wanted to marry the Sect Master's daughter is because of her...?" Khan's smiling figure stiffened, his eyes moistened as he thought about the silhouette of a young woman whom he adored greatly in his heart a long time ago.
The young woman's stubbornness, playfulness, and gentleness overlapped to that of Lily's and he couldn't control his emotions as he thought of that figure that he longed for.

"Azrael..." Khan hung his head low and hid his facial expressions away.
"Mhmm?"
"Do you believe in reincarnation?"
Azrael's figure startled, the concept of reincarnation in this world was fuzzy, however, legends said that with a strong desire to live and a gentle soul, one would have a chance to reincarnate.
"Then, perhaps... Do you think that..."
"Say no more, Azrael... No matter what, even if she really is her reincarnation, I just wanted the girl like her to experience everything that I wanted her to experience." Khan's tone became filled with melancholy, tears unknowingly flowed from his eyes.
The concept of crying was long extinct in Khan's dictionary. But as he thought about the silhouette back then, he couldn't but express his deep-seated emotions.
Back then, at the time where Khan was still at the prime of his age, and he was just starting to cultivate the Slaughter Path, he met a young woman with a skilfull medical prowess.
Due to the nature of his cultivation method, Khan always had numerous enemies, no matter where he went, but with her as his partner, Khan wasn't afraid of any injuries, for he knew that as long as he has a single breath left, the young woman could definitely save him from the clutches of death.
And in each time he returned, riddled with injuries, the heart of the young woman always ached and begged him to take more care about himself.
Yet, he would ignore her pleas and force himself to her, venting all of his lust towards her, until the time that he calmed himself down, the young woman always stayed silent and only embraced his head as she endured.
Day by day, as the number of people that died under his hands increased, the number of his enemies also increased, eventually they captured his partner, the young woman, whom they considered as his number one weakness.
With the cold rain drenching their bodies, the young woman eventually died in his embrace, her face suffused a gentle and satisfied smile, as she kissed his lips and told him her final words, "It's the first time that, I... shared a happy kiss..."
Khan embraced her lifeless body as he cried, regretting the fact that he didn't bother to spend more time with her.
But there was no medicine for regret in this world, and at the end, in his anger and despair, Khan managed to annihilate all of his enemies, as his name spread throughout the entire continent.
Khan felt a pat on his shoulder, he moved his head and found the Azrael that sat beside him, his hand stretched towards his shoulder.
"There they are!"
A dignified voice echoed, Khan directed his gaze to the source and found the smiling Sect Master waving his hand towards him.
"Khan! the old bastard is looking for you!"
"Who's the old bastard?!" the Sect Master's body staggered forwards as Sinbad threw a slap at the back of his head. Staring at the two who acted like children, Khan couldn't help but chuckle.
He descended, clasped his hands together and said, "Greetings, Father-in-law..." Hearing these words, Azrael and Sinbad's lips twitched, but for completely different reasons.
'Damn, master's messing up the seniority...' Azrael thought.
Earlier in the day, Sinbad announced his daughter's engagement to the direct disciple of the Divine Pills Sect, and of course, with his announcement, flocks of indignant male disciples gathered and tested Khan's capability.

Only did Khan defeated fifty disciples did all of their complaints dissipated.
Khan stared at Sinbad as the latter turned his gaze away, hesitant to speak about something. Khan threw a confused look, while Balbadt had a gloating expression on his face and chimed.
"My brother here has been really grateful to you, so he especially prepared a luxurious suite and several medicines for the two of you..."
"Shut up! Don't tell him that!"
"Ehhh? What are you acting like a kid, for? It's not like they haven't done that in the first place!"
"Fucking geezer, do you want to fight it out?!"
"Hahaha, you do know in your heart that you cannot beat me in words so you're asking for a physical fight? Nope, I'm not retarded enough to accept!" Balbadt retorted, although they had the same cultivation base, in a purely physical fight, the Nature Dragon's Physique would certainly have the advantage.
"Ermmm..." Khan tried to interrupt, Sinbad noticed this and quickly changed the topic as he realized that he was on the losing end, however, he didn't expect that he just played himself.
"Now that I think about it, Khan, did you already eat?"
"Hahaha," Balbadt chuckled before dropping a bombshell which thoroughly ignited Sinbad's fury, "Don't worry, soon, he'll be 'eating' your daughter."
"THAT'S IT YOU OLD BASTARD!" Sinbad's aura abruptly soared, he dashed towards Balbadt and struck with a punch.
BOOM!
Consecutive booming sounds echoed as the two flew to the dark skies and engaged in a fierce fight. Khan and Azrael who stared at this farce couldn't help but helplessly smile.
The two of them returned back to the great hall where a prestigious banquet was held, but they found that the visitors that hailed from the various sects scattered across the entire continent had already returned, the only people left on the hall were the cleaning servants and maids.
Khan was forced to return to his quarters but was startled to find an aquamarine haired figure seating on his bed. The aquamarine haired figure belonging to that of Lily wore a green transparent nightgown.
Her underwear, that hid behind the nightgown accentuated the peaks on her chest, but as Khan's line of sight moved down below, she found that she was in her commando mode.
She stared at Khan, a faint crimson light surfaced on her face, on the ring finger of her left hand, a ring that signified their engagement shone in a pinkish light as a pinkish steam started to condense in the entire room.
The steam seemed to contain an alluring temptation that became the trigger to the desires hidden within his heart, it intensified even further as he noticed that the sheets that Lily sat had a faint moistened mark.
Khan's lower body immediately reacted as the might of his lance pierced through the skies, Lily noticed the reaction and the blush that suffused on her face deepened even further, she gritted her teeth and moved at the edge of the bed.
Khan subconsciously moved before her, and with a swoosh, he felt a breeze on his lower body followed by a warm and sticky sensation and an intense pleasure that came from a suction force.
Under Lily's offensive, he felt that his consciousness became faint, as the intermittent surge of pleasure that came from his lower body roused the pent-up power that he held within his body.
With a groan followed by a pained whimper, he became unable to control his urges and poured all of his feelings directly at Lily.
Lily's head moved in circles before retreating backward, a faint milky sludge remained on her lips that she immediately wiped, revealing an awkward smile, she murmured, "It's really, hard..."
Khan buffed by the energizing scent that filled the room, leaped towards Lily and pressed her on the bed, Lily didn't dare to meet his eyes as she averted her gaze. But it could be noticed that she didn't seem to be unwilling like before.
Khan willed and separated the space of the entire room from the outside world, ensuring that no one would notice the upcoming storm.
Morning came and it was the time for them to return at the Continent of Greed, Sinbad was unwilling to have his daughter leave, but noticing her determined expression he could only say, "It seems like the saying that you can't keep a grown daughter at home, really is true."
He spoke in a despondent tone as if he just lost his soul.
But before he could return to the Sect, he felt a warm embrace followed by a moistened feeling on his back.
He turned around and found a crying Lily who said, "Father, don't be too sad that I will be gone again, Granpa and Grandma along with mother already left us, so I only have you and Khan in my life..."
"I will be with Khan for a while, but I will definitely return, and that time, I will bring your grand... kids..." She became abashed at the latter part of her sentence and said it with a mosquito-like tone.
But with Sinbad's cultivation base and his heightened senses, he could literally detect everything within the entire Divine Dragon Sect, so how could Lily's murmur escape his perception?
With a swoosh, he returned his daughter's hugged as he cried like a child.
"Mhmmm... I understand... I will wait for your return..."
The pair of blood relatives embraced each other for a while before retreating. Azrael with the help of Balbadt broke a tear in the space that connected directly at the University of Modern Magic.
Revealed on the other side was Balbadt's headmaster's quarters. Saying their final goodbyes the group went inside the Spatial Tear and disappeared from the Continent of Pride.
Azrael stared at the skies as he recalled the things that his master said to him, 'Azrael, I will be returning towards the Continent of Greed and continue my research towards this peculiar method called Modern Magic, I will also acquire more information about that so-called Divine Rune Sect, so that I can uncover that Sect's connection to my Sect.'
Eventually, Azrael sighed as his figure transformed into a beam of light which exploded towards the Divine Dragon Sect's treasury.
Marked at this time of history, was the beginning of Khan Paradyne's journey towards the peak of Modern Magic.
