《Ancient Cultivator in Modern World》Chapter 56: Continent of Pride[18]

Back at the Divine Dragon Sect, inside a dimly lit hall, numerous olden figures could be seen seating down before a rectangle table, on the other end of the rectangle table, a golden-clad figure could be seen, his eyes flashed a grim light as the elders at the side, bickered.
"Have you lost your mind?! Why did you declare war to the Thousand Claws Sect without our consent!"
An Elder clothed with the formal Elder attire berated, his face flushed as he shouted, as Elders of one of the strongest Sect in the entire continent, they would usually care about their image, but now, they couldn't even have the thought about that as they ranted.
Even the Grand Elder whom Lily referred to as her first grandfather wore a dark expression as his eyes scanned the Patriarch who sat just on the other side.
"I also think that what you did, was too excessive, Sinbad Dragnil."
the Patriarch still didn't answer their concerns, he just sat there, his arms crossed together and his eyes closed in meditation as if he was waiting for something.
"Patriarch, you need to properly explain, what the hell is going on!? They're already camping right on our border! Their Patriarch and the whole circle of their Elders are also, there!"
"It's also a matter of time before they penetrate our Sect Protection Formation! The disciples outside are also becoming restless for they already noticed the encampment of the Lion Race!"
"CALM DOWN!" His fierce voice rang across the entire hall, the round of Elders startled, before gulping a mouthful of saliva, for the Patriarch's body emanated a domineering aura that forced them to submit.
The Grand Elder's eyes shone in disbelief, for the aura that came from the Patriarch's body didn't look like it came from a Divine Ascendance Realm powerhouse, the might that enveloped his entire being faintly emanated an imposing might that could subdue everything under the heavens.
"You made a breakthrough?!" The Grand Elder couldn't help himself from standing up, upon realizing this fact, his finger pointed towards the Patriarch and his body visibly trembled as numerous emotions surfaced on his face.
His expression looked like a rainbow of colors as he showed, delight: delight, shock, and reverence.
The surrounding Elders also wore the same expression that he had, but much more intense.
"It was not only me who made a breakthrough." the Patriarch, Sinbad Dragnil gave a mysterious smile, his head turned towards the entrance and said, "Right, brother?"
Before they could follow the Patriarch's line of sight, an all-encompassing might rumbled, sending a surge of coercive aura directly towards their souls causing their figures to stiffen up.

Clearly, the mysterious figure that stood at the edge of their eyes had a might that could be compared to that of the current patriarch of the Divine Dragon Sect.
Their startled faces became filled with relief upon realizing that the owner of the pressure didn't have any ill intent towards them, a respectful light lit within their eyes as they stared at the gradually approaching silhouette.
The fuzzy figure gradually revealed the image of a man on his advanced age, however, the fresh, and energetic look on his face indicated that he still has the necessary energy to battle, the contour of his face signified the number of beauties he had played back then at his prime of life.
He wore a rainbow-colored robe adorned with phoenix patterns, his hair that symbolizes his age formed a bun and his complexion mysteriously shone even under the dim light.
All of them, except the Patriarch, stared at him in shock, but not because of his majestic appearance, but the emblem on his left chest that heralded his position at the Divine Pills Sect.
The current Patriarch of the Divine Pills Sect, Balbadt Longinus!
Balbadt smiled, his might that enshrouded the heavens itself retracted, his presence extinguished as he moved beside Sinbad and stood there, looking like a bodyguard.
However, instead of feeling relief towards these revelations, the expression of the elders around still didn't feel at ease, for they truly understood the true capabilities of the Lion Race, especially with the Dragonslayers as their allies.
The Dragonslayers cultivate in an art that directly subdues those of the Dragon Race, as long as they had a hint of the Dragon bloodline within their bodies, they would naturally be suppressed by the dragonslayers.
These past years, the dragonslayers were the huge source of headaches for the entire Divine Dragon Sect, for their arts enabled them to fight a member of the Divine Dragon Race despite a whole realm difference in power.
If the Lion Race didn't form an alliance with them, the Divine Dragon Sect would've already annihilated them from the face of the continent.
"But even so, Patriarch, if those cats come together with the Dragonslayers, we will still be killed!"
An Elder at the side expressed his concern, Sinbad only smiled, "Don't you guys wanted to know how ordered me to declare war towards those sick cats?"
The Elders who observed at the side stared intently at him as if waiting for his revelation.
"I'm the one who ordered him." A cold and indifferent voice echoed beside their ears, sending them into a startle as cold shivers ran down their side. The Grand Elder found the source first and was dumbfounded.

The other Elders followed suit and their mouths gaped in shock, they stared firmly at the silhouette that suddenly appeared.
Although all of them couldn't be said to be peak powerhouses, that doesn't mean that they didn't have the necessary power to detect any living beings within their premises. But they were stunned to find that they didn't even notice the silhouette's arrival.
Their heads turned and glanced to their patriarch and his brother, but found that they also stared at the shadowy figure with a look of disbelief.
"STANCE!"
The Grand Elder shouted Sinbad, Balbadt and the other Elders reacted as they summoned the entire might of their cultivation base in preparation.
The dimly lit hall trembled as rocks fell down. The reinforced walls threatened to crumble down as it couldn't endure the combined force of the group.
"Haaah..."
"I forgot that you still haven't seen my human-figure." The shadowy figure spoke in a soft and gentle tone, causing the group to frown, especially Sinbad who felt a faint resonation towards the figure.
"Who are you?" Sinbad walked forwards, carrying his imposing might with him, he asked in a cautious tone.
"There's no need to be that cautious, for if I wanted to, I could easily annihilate you all with a flick of my sleeve." The figure spoke in a condescending tone, an Elder who heard his declaration attacked with a burst of Qi towards the figure.
The shadowy figure didn't even move as the power that the Elder condensed dissipated into nothingness.
But before they could express their shock, a snicker echoed in the dark as a might incomparably stronger than all of them together drowned their consciousness as they bodies dropped down, their knees planted to the ground in a kneel.
The two Patriarchs wasn't an exception.
Horrors filled their eyes as they realized that the faint outline of a figure contained a might that could instantly crush them into dust, the might of the Divine Emperor!
"S-Senior... I hope that.. you forgive... my subordinates... mistake... It won't... happen... again..." Sinbad clasped his hands together as he endured the crushing pressure and spoke in a respectful tone.
"Okay, I forgive you, guys." A nonchalant tone echoed followed by the disappearance of the grandiose aura that enveloped their bodies, however, none of them sighed in relief as they glanced at the shadowy figure.
"Seriously, does no one really recognizes me?"
The tone became filled with irritation as he walked towards the group, their bodies wanted to flee, but they earnestly suppressed that desire as they greeted the emaciated olden figure that approached them, with a twitching smile on their face.
The olden figure almost wanted to laugh as he noticed their expressions that looked like they just ate a bitter gourd.
'Okay, okay, I'll stop teasing these little kids...' He thought in his mind, his gaze landed on Sinbad and said, "You, you're the current patriarch of the Divine Dragon Sect, right?"
Sinbad nodded his head in affirmation.
"Then, you must also know about this?"
The emaciated old man lifted the sleeve on his right arm and revealed a name which sent a reverberating lightning echoing through the Patriarch's mind.
"Y-y-y-you're! You're the Guardian Spirit?!"
Sinbad pointed his trembling finger towards the old man, although he had an idea about his identity, he still didn't feel certain for he still didn't know how the Guardian Spirit looked like, for back then, every time he tried to enter the world inside the Divine Artifact, he would be repelled.
Everyone stood there, rooted on the spot, their eyes became filled with terror as they stared at the old man, like a ghost in broad daylight.
But before they could express their disbelief, they were interrupted by a shout that came from a Core Disciple.
"ELDERS! THE THOUSAND CLAWS SECT HAS STARTED THEIR ATTACK ON THE SECT PROTECTION FORMATION!"
Everyone's expression became solemn, Sinbad stared at the old man with complex emotions in his eyes, the latter only smiled, and left a single phrase.
"It seems like I don't have enough time to explain everything, but for now, our goal is to eliminate the Thousand Claws Sect and the Dragonslayers, if they dared to attack."
His figure dissipated like a smoke.
"Heed my orders! All disciples starting from the Core to Inner shall gather on the Square and prepare for battle!"
His voice became akin to that of a thunder as it streaked through the entire Sect, sending everyone into a clamor as they moved and gathered.
Balbadt who stood at the side sent a voice transmission towards Sinbad. Upon understanding the contents of his message, he revealed a small, interested smile and glanced at the distance.
"So this is how you do things? Son-in-law...?"
