《In Danmachi with Plasmids》Dungeon Instructor
Advertisement
'Under the moon's light, the dirty and bloody Silver made his way back home just like had always done in these past two weeks.'
'Not much changed in these 2 weeks.'
'Just after his first day in the Dungeon, Silver noticed that he was already too strong for the Upper floors. Even if a monster party attacked him.'
(N1)
'So he immediately went to the 10Th floor.'
'In there, the base monsters were Orcs, Imps, Large bats with sonic attacks, and even Infant Dragons, although they are rare to appear, with only a few if not none spawning in an entire day.'
'This way, Silver managed to pressure himself as he was fighting enemies much stronger than himself.'
'Sometimes, he even went to the middle floors and fought some monster near the entrance, however, without using Plasmids, his end was pretty much set in stone against the unending stream of monsters.'
'So he ran with his tail between his legs when things got too dangerous.'
'There is a reason why the middle floors have a death rate almost as high as the Upper floors, monsters start to cooperate and some even use magic.'
'Nevertheless, Silver continued to fight as much as he could, the misty environment of the 10-12 floors helped him in keeping secrecy, but he knew that wouldn't last long and that people would eventually start to notice him.'
'After all, in order to get a good alias, Hestia would have to discuss his achievements with the other Gods. And if he doesn't do anything... Isn't he going to receive a boring and funny alias?'
'Not that he was afraid, but Silver preferred to grow in peace far from plots and schemes against him.'
(...) Narrator san was speechless.
'In his free time, Silver went to the Forge where he tested and played around with the drop items he got.'
'He wanted to figure out their properties and characteristics since he was planning on making his own gear in the future.'
'Although fighting barehanded is good for his growth. He can't grow forever and every time.'
'That would be too greedy. There will be times where Silver will have to fight for his life, and having a decent set of gear might help him in winning.'
'After all, between fleeing from a fight and not gaining Exilia. Fighting with gear and actually winning seems much better right?'
'Apart from this, there wasn't a lot to say about Silver. He went to the Hostess of Fertility to eat some good food and hear some gossip.
His relationship with the girls also slowly increased, mostly due to Syr's actions.
Last week, she started to cook food for him after a certain conversation they had.'
'Since then, the girls seemed to be much more open to Silver.'
'Apart from the Hostess, Silver didn't directly meet with anyone important. But he did start researching some people.'
'Welf, Haruhime, Lili, and etc. People that were essential to the original story. Although he doesn't have any plans of recruiting them yet, knowing if they actually exist is something else.'
'He confirmed Welf and Haruhime after looking around and asking some questions, but he didn't find Lili and some others.'
'Welf wasn't in Orario but his name was known since he was a Crozzo and Haruhime was somewhere in the pleasure district.'
'Nevertheless, he was happy with what he accomplished during these past 2 weeks.'
…
/Fling!/
'Hestia just finished updating Silver stats, and like any other time, she couldn't help but be flabbergasted by his growth.'
'Even though she knew the reason for such fast growth was because he was facing constant danger in the 11-13 floors, she still couldn't believe it.'
"You are oddly silent. What? Did I gain another super incredible skill?"
"As if! If you gained another Skill, I would accuse you of cheating!" She replied
"Cheating against who? The world?..."
'Silver became pensive'
"..."
There he goes... What is he going to ask this time?
'Hestia had learned a lot about this adventurer of hers over the past two weeks, including his very curious personality.'
"That raises an interesting question. Who made this system? I doubt it existed since the beginning of time."
"... That's quite an old question. It was the same person who found a way for the Gods to descend."
Ho? Let's hear it.
"He used to be fascinated by the Mortals and grieved for their struggles, so he found a way to ease their suffering."
"And that was when he found a way to save them. By using the God's most beloved children, the Spirits."
"Using a rough method, he made it possible so that Spirits could channel a God's strength and apply it to a mortal. A spirit associated with a certain God could now channel that God's strength and apply Falna to a mortal."
"Although it was weaker than what we have today, that was enough to start the Era of Heroes."
"Eventually, when the first Gods descended, this system was adopted and perfected by Ouranos since its creator had disappeared."
"Disappeared? Who was he and how did he disappear?"
"Who he was doesn't matter anymore, he used to be an introvert so who knows?… As for how. No one knows, he was the first to descend anyway..." She said while averting her eyes.
So she doesn't know or remember… Figured. I should ask someone else later. But who?
"Although the path he made lasts to this day. However, since he disappeared, no one among the Gods knows how to fix it."
'Silver was pensive.'
"What do you mean by fixing it?"
"As you know, once a God returns to Heaven, it can't come back, the reason for this has never been properly addressed."
'Hestia looked to the sides and whispered:'
"Although there are some rumors that Ouranos is actually doing that on purpose."
"That would be a twist, but that makes sense. Gods that can adapt to the mortals' way of life should just stay in heaven."
"But what about the good ones that are sent back in unjust ways?"
"Isn't it obvious?"
'Hestia tried to think, but she couldn't really figure out why.'
(Can you?)
"It's because if he allows some to come back, there might be some displeasure among the others. As far as history tells us, Ouranos has always remained laid back and neutral for pretty much everything.
(N2)
"That makes sense… Some of those guys would complain quite a lot..."
"And also, didn't you tell me about not having enough Gods in heaven? If those guys were allowed to come back, the circle of life or whatever would be broken since there wouldn't be enough people to manage it."
"You told me this last week remember?"
(N3)
"That's true, thankfully, that wasn't my job."
"What did you do in Heaven then? Since we are on the subject."
'Hestia sat on the bed and started to kick the air, tilting her head to the ceiling as if she was gazing at something.'
"I looked after the sacred flame, well, I was one of the Gods responsible for doing so. Now that I think about it, it was a pretty dull life, the only thing I did was clean the altars and temples while making sure the flame burned."
"What is the Sacred flame?"
"It was the first flame."
"..."
'Silver wasn't convinced,'
"And is that important in any way?"
"OF COURSE IT IS!" She said angrily as she kicked Mellios leg.
"Ouch… My ears…"
"And my leg..." Said Hestia as she held her legs in pain, she felt as if she had kicked a wall.
"... The Sacred Flame represents the sun and the heat of every fire! Without it, the world would be cold and sad..."
"So if the flames were extinguished, an ice age would happen?"
'Hestia nodded.'
"How scary. Are there any other such objects in Heaven?"
"Hum… There are some..."
'She started to open and close her fingers as she counted.'
"Let's see… Excluding weapons and armor since those are boring… We have the Mímisbrunnr, there's that wicked Box made by that girl… What was her name? Pandofa? Panroda?... The Cup of Jamshid, the 7 trumpets… Or was it 9? Arg..."
"There are too many to even count, I didn't have any specific item, since they were a bother to make, but I did have my temple..."
'Hestia just fell backward and placed her head in one of the pillows.'
"Compared to that bore of a life, this place is much more interesting… All of the people and their dreams, the food and comfort… Did I say the food? I really love the food of Gekai..."
'Silver looked at his excited Goddess and smiled. He was already used to her sudden explosions of words. So he rested his head in the chair and got ready for yet another long session...'
'It's better to just hear her than to ignore her. Else she might annoy me later.'
…
/Clang… Clang/
'Later that day, Silver could be seen hammering away in the forge.'
'After talking for an entire hour, Hestia got tired and fell asleep while she talked.'
'So Silver took that chance to leave not before taking a look at his stats of course.'

*() This means the amount raised since the last status
(It's really a coincidence that both Vitality and Magic rose by almost the same amount. I normally take the values out of my ass and then I round them up so that they make sense… They just somehow became like this.)
----------------------------------
'His stats had risen by a lot, with an average of around 20-30 points per day for each stat.'
'His magic was surprisingly not the stat that rose the most. It was his agility.'
'Although his magic increased by a lot since he was always using it, its increase started to slow down recently.'
'Even though he uses it every single time until he is almost depleted, the only thing he normally does is to create elemental objects to fight in the Dungeon or practice control in the church.'
'The progress is very fast, but it will slow down, in the next two weeks, he is sure he won't even be able to reach 900, and in two more months, he might not even be able to reach 999. Much less think about going over it.'
'But it was already very... Very fast... So he was happy with such speeds. He had an inkling he was going to be faster than even Ais, but he didn't know by how much.'
'His Vitality also rose by a lot since he got into the habit of drinking poison when he entered the Dungeon. Nothing too serious, normally, its things like stamina debuffs or injecting himself with venoms such as the Dream spider venom.'
'So even though he wasn't hurt a lot during these few days, the heavy exercise while under the effects of the poisons and venoms made it rise by a lot.'
'Compared to his first day, Dexterity didn't rise by a lot, that's because there isn't much form to improve.'
'Most of the monster attack patterns in the Upper floors are very simple to counter, so even though he fought a lot, it didn't increase by a lot.'
'Strength increased by about the same as his first day. It was the most consistent out of all 5 stats.'
'Although he mostly avoided blows against some monsters, the ones he blocked counted towards this development.'
'Whoever, his strength is catching up with the strength of the monsters, making the increase slow down.'
'To better explain, the reason why it increased so much was that Silver focused on either pairing or blocking most monsters' attacks, this made it so he could increase both agility, vitality, and strength at the same time.'
'As for those moves that were too strong for him… He evaded them. Since they were quite numerous.'
'If an Orc swipes and hits his leg… It's over, the leg will break. It's even worse if the Orc has a club the size of a tree.
Remember, these Orcs are from the Dungeon, they are way stronger than the ones from the surface.'
'As for his Agility… It was mostly because of his many "Training runs".
What's the best way to increase one's Agility? Isn't it from escaping from stronger monsters or evading their attacks? Like how Bell did?'
'And so that's what Silver did, every day he would go to the middle floors and find a minotaur, and proceed to inject some poisons and run from it with all of his might.'
'Simple no?'
'His Agility rose by a lot as a result.'
/CLANG!/
/CRACK!/
'The ingot on the anvil suddenly broke into two, ruining his entire effort.'
"... Sigh… Another failure."
'Silver picked the hot ingot with some pincers and threw it in a water bucket.'
"This won't do, these materials are so strange! Some can receive tempering while others can't, some can bend but are still somehow brittle. And all of that magical processing..."
Although I practiced with some materials from the surface, their properties were relatively different from these...
I had to buy some forging books to help me. Although I learned a lot with my grandpa, he wasn't a high-Level blacksmith by any means. It's more like a hobby he took during his retired times.
And those forging books from the market aren't cheap!
"And I don't have the courage to face that Dwarf and ask for advice… Sorry, Espínter."
A Pettish Dwarf isn't someone you should annoy. Much less a blacksmith with a lot of connections.
... Perhaps I should try to get in contact with a blacksmith in order to learn their techniques.
Would they even accept my offer?
If only I had some of those heavy machines from my past life to process some ores and make some alloys…
"The conditions are really precarious. Nevertheless, some of those blacksmiths can create weapons of destruction with just a hammer and some tools. I am missing something here..."
'He tapped his finger on the anvil and said:'
"No need to be hasty. I am already ahead of many, patience is necessary to get results."
Although I am incapable of improving on the magic sword design, I can still make a stronger one if I collect some better materials…
"I will do that."
'Silver placed his hammer on the table and removed his protective clothing. After that, he made his way to the shower.'
…
"Awww. I needed this. It might be costly to have a heater for the water, but I don't care. I can't live without a hot bath."
'Silver dried his body, put on a pair of underwear, some shorts, and left the bathroom.'
"..."
'But he forgot he was living with a girl. Or to be more exact, he didn't think that deeply and just left the bathroom.
That was how relaxed he was.'
"..."
What is the meaning of this?!
'Hestia's mind was in turmoil as she looked at the strong and carved body of Silver.'
'But Silver didn't notice that as he made his way to the couch near the fireplace to read another book.'
/Poof!/
'He used telekinesis with his left hand to make the book float while he used his right hand to create a flame… And then an ice cone. Followed by a small wind tornado…'
'The elements kept intertwining as he practiced.'
'He also used telekinesis to control a glass of water and some grapes, this required fine control and was quite taxing for Silver, but it was necessary if he wanted to improve.'
'But his efforts were not really appreciated by his audience'
"... That Guy..."
Look at how comfortable he is!
'Hestia observed just how uncaring her adventurer was, without realizing he was actually training. And this made her think the problem was with herself.'
'She looked at herself and went to the bathroom'
"... Is there something wrong with me?"
'She looked at her face, beautiful aqua eyes and a cute face, her dark shiny hair falling on her shoulders. She let it freely fall as she didn't like to sleep in ponytails.'
'She was using a loose pair of white pajamas with some cute white slippers.'
'A Goddess beauty wasn't something to make fun of. No wonder many men would beg to stay with one such girl. Some manage, others fail. Most.'
… My face is fine, my hair is shiny and my clothes are cute! How is he so uncaring?!
'Hestia didn't know when, but she started to see her adventurer in a romantic way after staying with him for two weeks.
Although she herself was still a little confused as to what these feelings truly were. She knew it might be love, but she never felt this before. She needs help!'
'Perhaps it was the food? Or the way he talked and always listened to her. Maybe the way he always showed her something impossible? ... It was the food without a doubt.'
Am I an easy woman?...
'Hestia's mood plummeted, but...'
/SLAP!/
'She slapped her own cheeks in order to solidify her will.'
"HUMPH! There isn't anything wrong with me! He is an idiot! I will make him notice me!"
'Hestia decided to talk about this with Hephaestus tomorrow.
She had been going to her quite frequently to ask questions and learn, she was also working in one of their workshops in order to help with some of the expenses.'
'All the while, Silver was just calmly reading his book without knowing trouble was soon to come...'
…
'Silver woke up and prepared to set out into the Dungeon.
As always, Hestia was still sleeping soundly.'
"But why is she on my bed?... Did she sleepwalk again?"
"... I guess a God is a God at the end of the day, how can she look beautiful while sleeping? When I wake up I look like a beggar… Not that exaggerated but..."
Sigh, no matter.
'Silver picked one of the sheets and placed it over Hestia.'
'After having everything ready, he made his way to the Guild as he always did.'
'He went there so he could meet with his Guild Instructor and get a few commissions as well.'
'If he is going to the Dungeon as an official adventurer, might as well make some money.'
…
'Getting out of the cart, Mellios entered the busy guild.'
"... Oh! It's you Mellios. HAHA! You are always here early! You must be here for your advisor right?" Said a voice from the side.
'It was a Dwarf, he didn't have a beard and he was rather fit for a Dwarf. He was carrying a large box filled with books.'
'Dwarfs tend to be quite… Big-boned. They aren't fat, but they are by no means skinny like some Demi-Human races and Elfs.'
"Good morning Banxi, I see you are working hard as always."
"Buwahaha! An old man like me needs to provide for his family after all!"
"Did you see..."
"Yup! In the same place as always..."
"OI! Banxi! We need you over here!" Said a Guild member from the side.
'The Dwarf smiled.'
"Well, duty calls me. See you later! If you have the time, let's go drink at the Hostess later!" Said the Dwarf as he carried the large box on the ground
"We'll see!'.'
'Although Silver didn't really try, he still made some friends in the past two weeks. The girls in Hostess, some acquaintances in the Dungeon and around Orario like the pub owner. And a few people in the Guild.'
'He comes here quite often after all.'
…
'Silver finally stopped in front of an empty Countertop.'
/Ding!/
'He knocked on a small bell placed on top of it, making a clear "ding" sound.'
"I am coming!" Said a voice from deep within the Guild.
'Soon enough, Silver saw someone running towards him.
It was his Dungeon advisor.'

(You thought there was some hidden content?! Unfortunately, I already removed it when I noticed we had in fact, hit the WORD COUNT LIMIT!)
Suffer
...
Although we most likely won't have the third chapter this week, I wanted to fill the gap with minor side stories.
I could use it as a way to introduce some side characters that I wouldn't be able to show in the main story otherwise.
I even have a name and theme for it!
It shall be called, The monsters Compendium Chronicles.
What do you think? My idea was to make 1000 word long chapters from time to time. They would replace the third and perhaps even the second chapter of the week depending on how tight my schedule becomes.
And since writing 1000 words at once is much easier than 3000… I can easily release such a chapter in my free time.
So there might be 3-4 of these chapters in a week, who knows? There is also the chance for me to just post a full 3000 words chap as always.)

Multiverse of Marvel
-------------- "Let's leave my origins. We both have unspeakable origins. But the problem is I know of your origins. Galan of Taa." John said. Galactus' eyes squinted as John said his real name out loud. He never expected someone totally out of nowhere knew his actual name. "Never expected an unknown guy would know my origins. So what of it? I don't think it matters where I came from." Galactus replied. "It doesn't. You did what you had to do to survive. But the problem is you made a deal with the devil." John replied. Galactus looked at John with more stoic eyes now. He had done many things in the past and he made many bad decisions. He just wasn't sure what John was referring to so he was silent. John seeing that Galactus was silent and refused to speak said "Black Winter is coming." -------------When a cinephile and an otaku/weeb travels through dimensions and gets a system which can only be described as overpowered but comes with restrictions. At first he was overjoyed with the system but soon realizes that he is in a very dangerous world where his life was at risk all the time. (There will be no change in the canon until the New York War ends) Disclaimer : I am not an economist so I might have done some mistakes in the economics section of the story. If you have suggestions to make it better you can leave in the comments. Warning - The MC won't be OP from the start itself and will grow to a powerful character in due time. The starting feels a bit odd because I am totally new to writing a novel and I don't have an editor so the conversations and descriptions might be little stiff. I have been trying to improve. The romance in the story is very little and I understand that its badly written. I am sorry about that but no need to worry. It doesn't have any effect in the story. The story is assumed on the fact that the reader at least knows the plot of Marvel movies and some popular animes. All the other elements are explained as much as possible. P.S. This story is based on pure Marvel Multiverse
