《Heir of the Divine Phoenix》21. First Lesson [2]

''Hey, I heard my father talking about you, I wonder what's so special about you...'' The blondie girl said with a bit of disdain, however, there was a hint of jealousy too.
Feuer didn't want to talk as he was paying attention to what the Instructor was saying but then, he looked on the Princess direction, scanned her from up and down and shook his head before paying attention to the lesson.
''So, as I was saying, there are 9 realms for both cultivators and mages, however, do you know about the technique and magic rankings? I thought so, this will be the first lesson, this time, we will talk about it!'' The Instructor said, he almost laughed when he saw what Feuer did but decided not to point it out after seeing the red face of pure anger that the Princess has.
''Both Magic and Techniques have a special ranking: Tiers, this is where the nine realms are involved, there are 9 Tiers, each of them is equivalent to a realm, Tier 1 to the Martial/Spiritual Awakening and so on!'' The Instructor said as the class gasped in surprise, Feuer also felt surprised, this wasn't on the book at all 'I wonder why only the Academy inside this Kingdom has that information?' he thought while narrowing his eyes.
The twin's eyes were also sparkling, it seems they're both hungry for knowledge, Feuer guessed that the girl only tried to mock him out of pure jealousy, he understands that very well 'I also hated when my father compared me to other kids, principally when I thought they weren't better than me...'
It's something normal, no one, principally in the puberty, likes to be compared to another kid, for most, it hurt, principally when their self-esteem is low, it just makes it lower, shaking his head, Feuer started to pay attention to the lesson, the Instructor already changed the subject to talk about the wars that happened

''As almost everyone here knows, in the past, there were many wars, that was known as the [Chaotic Era] due to the constant wars and the fact that peace was something temporary, sooner or later, it would be broken, now, now, is there someone who can answer me who was the true winner of the [Scattering War]?'' The Instructor said with a small smile, this question is, in fact, a disguised banana peel, ready for some student to slip.
And someone took the bait, it was the Princess, she seems to like attention, this was Feuer first impression of her ''This is an easy question, it was, of course, the humans!''
Her brother, at the side, shook his head, Feuer then raised his hand as the Instructor signaled for him to answer ''This is something that most want but unfortunately, the true winners of the [Scattering War] weren't humans, this is what the books make it look like, it's true that we indeed have 3 of the 6 continents, however, these are the ones with less territory, for an example, even if we mixed these three continents, it'll only be compared to the entire Demonkin and their continent is smaller than the Beastkin, Elves, Dwarves, etc...''
''To simplify things, the true winners were, in fact, the Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes and whatever other race inside the [Nature Alliance], the [Elnith] continent is populated by the races inside that alliance, it is also the biggest continent, you may say that just because it is the biggest, it doesn't mean it is the best, the [Elnith] continent, due to the Elves, that govern it, having an extreme affinity towards Nature...'' Feuer paused for a bit before continuing
''Over time, they made so that the entire [Elnith] continent is full of trees and things like that, which also made the natural resources inside it richer!'' He finished as the class fell in silence before everyone, including the twins and the Instructor clapped.

The Instructor felt embarrassed slightly, while this was indeed true, his own knowledge was lacking a bit compared to Feuer in that case 'How he knows so much? Did he study from his mother tomb or something?' before saying
''As student Feuer said, the [Nature Alliance] was indeed the true winner of the [Scattering War], even now, they're in peace because they maintained themselves as neutral, originally, many races, including humans, enslaved the Elves due to their features, however, that stopped after the [Scattering War] as they now hold great importance through the world!''
Unknowingly, the lessons passed extremely fast as a 'Ding Dong' sound was heard by everyone, the Instructor also felt surprised as he said ''Time passed fast today, right, students? Well, for today, those were the lessons, make sure to study, the Library is also open for every student if you don't have the material to study in your home, bye!'' before vanishing from the sight of the students, even Feuer could only see a faint silhouette.
'This is the power of someone at Low Martial Lotus, huh... As I thought, the difference between Martial Body/Spiritual Manifestation compared to Martial/Spiritual Lotus is incredibly huge... I can fight against someone at Peak Martial Body on practically equal ground and with luck, win, however, I don't stand even a tiny chance against someone at Low Martial Lotus, sigh' Feuer thought while sighing inwardly.
Someone tapped his shoulders, looking back, he saw that it was the Princess, her eyes looked around as she said ''S-Sorry for saying that things on the start of the lessons...''
'Did I became some kind of anime protagonist?' Feuer thought before smiling slightly ''No need to worry, I know how bad it is when a father compares his son or daughter to another kid!''
The Princess became slightly excited as she said ''Right, I agree totally! By the way, my name's Diana Eis, nice to meet you, Feuer!'' completely forgetting the hostility shown before by her towards Feuer.
Shaking his head 'This girl is very childish, isn't she? I just hope she isn't tsundere, they're annoying...' Feuer thought before replying ''Nice to meet you too, Diana!''
Like that, Feuer got himself a new friend, the second friend he ever had.

Rago didn't have what you would call a good life... Or lives, in his case. For you see, Rago is one of an infinitesimally small number of people that remembers his previous lives. In his first life, he was a young spartan warrior that was killed for being too weak. In his second life, he was a young squire in the courts of Camelot that was tragically killed when his master lost control of his horse, and it kicked him in the head. In his third life, he was a child soldier in Africa that managed to escort a group of children to safety before he was shot in the head by their now ex-captors. And in his fourth life, he spent his entire life in a hospital bed being treated for a currently incurable auto-immune disease. ... But, that's when things changed. He was suddenly brought before an all-powerful being and given yet another go at life... Let's hope things are different this time.

8 134Rebirth, but not quite.
A boy is born in a fantasy world with knowledge of modern earth, however he does not have personal memories of living or dying before. Good news is he was born in militaristic branch of the royal family and the variety of forms and uses of magic in this world are great fun, bad news is with status come expectations. Follow him as he makes his place in the world all the while escaping boredom with all his might. This is a story without a big baddie trying to destroy the world, without gods choosing heroes to give powers to and without systems that determine what you can and can't do. This is my first fiction and i'm open to suggestions. I plan on using a few cliches while putting my own spin on things, if i write something that feels too much like every other fictions, please say so.
