Taking my tools with me, I explore the village, and find the village head's house at the center. The materials for the Command Center have to be gathered at the same spot. To gain some time and reduce my efforts, I decide to summon the Command Center where the largest abandonned building with plenty of other building around is: The house of the village head, with plenty of other builing around.
Then I start to dismantle the other buildings around. Since they are mostly made of wood, it isn't much of a problem. There is something else to help me with my work.
“The god said that our basic abilities would be improved... I'm really thankful for that. The sheer amount of work I have to do would have destroyed my motvation if I wasn't stronger than before, with more endurance. With the improved strenght and speed I can work faster, with the increased endurance I can work for longer period of time.”
Breaking walls and furnitures down into planks and other pieces of wood. Carrying or dragging them to the head's house. Going back the the targeted house to be dismantled. Over and over again. The weather is good, but not completely sunny, nor very hot. It would have sapped my strenght at a faster pace otherwise.
It took me 7 hours to turn 3 buildings into materials for the command center. Even if the buildings are mostly made of wood, some parts are also made of stone. Breaking those parts requires a lot more work than for the wooden parts, and more efforts to transport them to the head house due to their weight. I spend 30min lying on the ground to recover form my exhaustion.
“... Damn, I never exhausted myself so much before... It's completely differents from training in martial arts!! Then again, it's not like I was serious martial arts practionner anyway... Now, let's make my base!!” I psyche myself as I stand up.
I gather my focus on the building in front of me and raise my hand toward it. Then I activate my ability. If I was exhausted when I finished gathering the materials, after activatin my ability I feel like I'm was dying. All my energy is sucked out of me within 2 seconds and I drop on my knees, almost collapsing on the ground.
“...Wha-” I can't even form a proper sentence, nor a single word.
I watch helplessly as the building and all the material inside start to glow faintly. Then, they seem to turn into thick, glowing dust. The glowing dust gather above the now empty and excavated piece of land and start to revolve slowly. After a few second, the thick cloud of glowing dust descend to the ground.

I can't see through it at all. After a minute, the amount of dust start to lessen, and a building start to be visible. It looks like it's absorbing the dust, but I understand it is the dust turning into the building. All the materials are used without waste.
In the end, what I find in front of me is a rather large heptagonal building with 2 floors. The first floor is a little more narrow than the ground floor. There is an ornate double door at the entrance. Walking around the building, I find another double door at the back, more discreet, like a technical entrance. At that time again, implented knowledge kicks in.
The front entrance is the regular entrance. On the ground floor there is a particular room. It's the recruitment room. In games the recruited units just pop out of the building. Here, the units I recruit are real people summoned from this world, not people made of magic for my convinience. They are people with nothing else to lose and wishing for any kind of new opportunities, people who have already lost everything they had, yet still wish to live on. The selection is limited to people between 15 and 30 years old, both males and females, regardless of the race.
On the ground floor there are also rooms for servants, a kitchen, a bathroom and a restroom. The 2 servants room have each 2 bunk beds, so each room can have 4 people. The second floor is my personal place, with an office, a bathroom, at restroom and a bedroom. The double door at the back lead to a basement, which is a storage room. A dimensional storage room with a lot of space within, and which keep things fresh.
In the bathrooms there is some soap available, magically provided by my ability, thus unlimited. It's the same in the toilets. There is a plant that grow a lot of large and soft leafs, used to clean oneself. Those leafs grow back everyday, making an unlimited supply of toilet paper. In the kitchen, there is also an unlimited supply of salt, under the form of a block of salt that regrow everyday.
I enter the Command Center and go into my office. It is the most important room of the building. Inside, there is a magical screen which shows me everything within my territory and which I use to activate some other functions.Yes, I have a territory. Each time a building is constructed, the area around it become part of my territory. After getting my Command Center, the 500m radius area around it became part of my territory.
Any building within my territory can be destroyed and changed into raw materials with a simple command from me. And I just did that. Half of the abandonned village turns into glowing dust and enter the basement through the double doors at the back. The whole process take around an hour. During that time, I get myself used to the functions of my base.

“The only things I can make right now are tier 1 buildings: house, cabin for hunters, fishermen and miners, farm, masonry, sawmill, smithy, defense tower and a protective wall. To make them I need the necessary amount of ressources, as well as workers... When I want to recruit workers, I have the choice between 4 individuals with their own potential. The workers gather ressources, construct the buildings and have to work in them for the buildings to be productive. The recruits have their own strenghts and weakness.
When I'm offered a selection, I can see their identity: name, age, race and a short history. I can also see their attributes: power, precision, intellect, charm and magic, though it's not the current value but rather their potential? … This way, I can choose the best recruit for the right job, increasing efficiency... My workers can make any kind of buildings, but those provided by the Command Center are made much faster than normal, because they receive support from the Command Center. Also, aside from a few exceptions, buildings from the Command Center can only be built within the territory...”
After knowing the basics of what I can do, I contemplate on what to do after. Obviously I will need food and protection. The farm and a cabin for fishing will provide food, though the farm won't produce food from the start, thus hunting in the woods will be necessary. To have protection, the wall won't be enough, because to make certain things I will need the appropriate ressources.
I will need a lot of stones for the smithy. I will need people to find a good stone deposit and work in a quarry. I will need ores to make weapons and tools. To get ore I will need people to prospect the land, find and make a mine. I will need people to go into the forest to get wood. And I will need an armed force to defend all of them when they are away from the base.
“... The river isn't far, so fishing won't be a problem. But I don't think it will be enough, so hunting will be necessary as well. I should gather food first before increasing my work force, increasing food supplies with hunting and fishing while slowly scouting the area and gathering stones. I already have enough wood from all the dismanteled building, but the stones are still lacking.
So, I have room for 8 in the base, so I should summon 8 people. For their roles, I guess I should have 3 of them fishing, 2 of them hunting, 2 of them gathering stones, and one as a servant and aid for me. Since 7 of them would be busy working, and I would be working as well either by scouting or gathering stones, having 1 person take care of the house and prepare food and bath water for us would be nice.”
I activate the magic screen again and look at the selection of recruits available. The attributes of the recruits have stars, from 1 star for trash potential, to 7 stars for genius potential. The people available have between 2 and 3 stars for their attributes, so they are below average. Worst part is that they only have 1 star for magic. I'm thankful to the fact that the work I have for them isn't particulary demanding. I hope the quality of the selection will increase with time.
In the end I select 5 men and 3 women. I chose 2 men to hunt because they have 3 stars in power, precision and intellect, and have hunting experience. 2 men are chosen to gather stones, they have 3 stars in power only, the rest is at 2 stars, so they're only good for simple manual labor. 1 man and 2 women are chosen to fish, they have 2 stars in power, but 3 in precision and intellect, though there is nothing indicating they have prior knowledge about fishing.
The last woman will be a servant, with only her intellect and charm at 3 stars. All in all, they aren't the brightest people, but they will still be usefull. One of the hunter is a demon of the were-kin subrace, something similar to the japanese beast people, with animal ears and tails. He has blue skin, something which I didn't expect for a beastman, but it's common to all demon races of this world. One of the stone gatherer is a dwarf, with redish skin. Everyone else is human.

AN: When I was thinking of a cheat power to “make a town”, I though of a few games and what came to my mind were some old games I played: Warcraft 2, Settlers 2 and Colonization 2 (Yep, seconds are awesome!! … ). I got inspiration mostly from those games to make the cheat power, and nerfed the “game-like-super-convinience”.

Dark Lands: The Exile and the Prince
A short time has passed since the siege on Ruined Home has been lifted and as the survivors of the battered encampment slowly begin to rebuild their new home, Aurelius has returned from a failed troll hunt. Yet despite the battered prince’s failures, he has set into motion a series of events that will forever change his life. Meanwhile, Iskra has found herself at the helm of a far more favorable position and begins to forge a path that will lead her towards the first steps of a long road of revenge. Author’s Note: This is the direct sequel to the first Dark Lands story and as time goes on I will update the synopsis to help bring further detail about the story. For now however, I hope you all enjoy what is about to be written. Eight Years Arc: Eight Years have passed since Aurelius and Iskra have first met one another, and a lot has changed since then. The vast majority of Aurelius’ family has been slaughtered by the hands of none other than his oldest brother, a man that the golden haired prince had spent the past several years to hunt down and kill all in the name of vengeance. Upon his return, the kin-slaying prince has found that some things have changed during his absence. Iskra, his first wife and love of his life, has proclaimed that she no longer cares about the events that have been unfolding in her former homeland for the last several years and states that she is solely focused on raising her children. Yet it is through learning that the High Elves have taken a keen interest in the once magically-absent lands of Ranislava that Aurelius decides that action must be taken and thus he journeys south to learn more about what his distant kin are up to in such a backwater region of the world. Who he will meet and what he will do will turn the tides of fate, but in whose favor is something that only the Gods will know. (The Eight Years arc is something that was designed to be written in a way where people don't have to feel the need to go back to the very beginning of the Dark Lands story in order to know what is going on or who the characters are.)
