Hello. It's been a while, like two years.

I ended up dropping this story pretty early on. I loved the concept essentially fantasy Ben 10 but as I wrote the story I realised I didn't really plan ahead very well or create a proper litRPG system which caused me lose motivation.

I am planning to re-write the story from the start with a proper plan this time, I've got quite a decent overview for the story now so I'm pretty confident I'm not gonna fuck it up again. It helps that I've graduated from high school now and am only working part time so I have some more free time to get to it.

If I were to outline the issues I had with the story it would definetly be the system, numbers and modifiers were really annoying and didn't make sense. Redundant monsters were also an issue, why I thought having 8 different species of goblin was a good idea I'll never know. How Jaune got his power of species shifting always bugged me as well, just having a mystery power that suddenly activated was dumb.

What to expect from the re write. A simplified litRPG system. Numbers didn't work for me in this series so I got rid of em. There's still gonna be a status and windows but they're gonna be more overviews of Jaunes items and species he gains. A less messy story hopefully, I've been working on world building and characters and I hope to not continue my habit in the old version where I kept going back to edit plot holes.

When to expect it. As it is right now I can't give a real date, I want to have a good amount of chapters stored in case I hit writers block or stop writing for a while so I have something to post. If it gets to 2022 and I still have posted I'd consider that a failure on my part.

im probably going to keep the old version up still in case you want to look at my mistakes but I might take it down in the future.

so look out for the re-write and the continued story of Jaune Blackwell this time with less holes than your average block of Swiss cheese.

also would love to hear some crazy monster ideas, sadly my imagination is limited and I want to get some proper wacky stuff in there as well.
